Abstract
El presente invento está dirigido a composiciones y métodos para producir avermectinas, y está situado principalmente en el sector de la salud de losanimales. El presente invento se refiere a la identificacion y la caracterizacion de dos nuevos genes, aquí citados como los genes aveR1 y aveR2, queestán implicados en regular la expresion de policetida-sintasa (PKS) de avermectinas y la biosíntesis de avermectinas en Streptomyces avermitilis. Elpresente invento está basado en el descubrimiento deque la desactivacion de estos genes da como resultado un aumento en la cantidad de avermectinasproducidas por S.avermitilis.
