Abstract

Se describen una composicion farmacéutica para desinfectar lentes de contacto, caracterizada porque comprende a un compuesto de la siguiente formula, en una cantidad efectiva como para desinfectar las lentes I donde: R1, R2, R3 y R4 son iguales odif erentes y se seleccionan de hidrogeno, alquilo C1-20,aminoalquilo C1-20, arilo, arilalquilo C3-20, ariloxialquilo C3-20, y cicloalquilo C3-20, y X es alquilo C2-20, opcionalmente contiene uno o más sustituyentesseleccionados del grupo formadopor cic loalquilo C3-20, arilo, arilalquilo C3-20 y ariloxialquilo C3-20, o su sal farmacéuticamente aceptable, y un vehículoacuoso. Las aminobiguanidas como agentes antimicrobianos en las composiciones farmacéuticas, y un método para desinfectarlentes de c ontacto. Lasaminobiguanidas son utiles para la conservacion de las composiciones farmacéuticas, particularmente las composiciones farmacéuticas oftálmicas y lascomposiciones para tratar las lentes de contacto. Los compuestos sonespecialmente utiles para desinfectar las lentes de contacto.
