Abstract

Un terpolímero de propileno formador de película que comprende unidades de co-monomero derivados de etileno y por lo menos una alfa-olefinaseleccionada del grupo de alfa-olefinas C4-8, la proporcion de etileno a la(s) alfa-olefina(s) C4-8siendo menor de 0,3 y la fraccion de solubles de hexanoes menor de 6,5% calculado del peso total del terpolímero. Un proceso para la produccion del terpolímero de propileno que comprende: a) alimentar en unreactor de combustible en suspension unamezcla de reaccion que contiene 50-85% en peso de propileno, 1-10% en peso de etileno, 15-40% en peso de otraalfa-olefina C4-8, un sistema catalizador manteniendo la polimerizacion de la olefina en dichas condiciones de temperatura y, demanera opc ional, hidrogeno;b)polimerizar dicha mezcla de reaccion a una temperatura de menos de 70°C por un período de tiempo suficiente para obtener un terpolímero de propilenoalcanzando 50-99% en peso del producto final; c) transferir dichamezcla d e reaccion hacia un reactor de fase gaseosa que opera a una presion mayorde 5 bars, preferiblemente mayor de 10 bars, opcionalmente anadiendo 0-30% en peso de etileno, 0-10% en peso de otra alfa-olefina C4-8, 0-40% en pesodepropileno y opcionalmen te hidrogeno; y d) continuar la polimerizacion en dicho reactor de fase gaseosa con el fin de obtener un terpolímero depropileno que alcanza 1-50% en peso del producto final. El terpolímero tiene una temperatura defusion de menos de 135°C, de manera preferible menos de132°C y puede ser utilizado para la fabricacion de películas que tienen buenas propiedades de sellado.
