Abstract

Un método para operar una estacion movil en una disposicion de radioteléfonos 100, la cual incluye una pluralidad de estaciones de base comola estacion base 102 configurada para radiotélefono de acceso multiple por division decodig os (CDMA) como el 104. El radioteléfono 104 está configuradopara recibir y transmitir senales de acceso multiple por division de codigos de secuencia directa (DS-CDMA) para comunicarse con la pluralidad de estacionesbase, incluyendo laestacion de ba se 102. En la realizacion ilustrada, el sistema de radioteléfono 100 es un sistema CDMA que opera segun la normaprovisoria IS-95 de TIA/EIA, Mobile Station-Base Station Compatibility Standard for Dual-Mode Wideband SpreadSpectrum Cellul ar System, que opera a800 MHz. Como alternativa, el sistema del radioteléfono 100 podría operar de acuerdo con otros sistemas de CDMA incluyendo los PCS a 1800 MHz o con otrosistema de radioteléfonos digital adecuado.
