Abstract

Cubierta neumática con carcasa de capa única reforzada con cordones metálicos paralelos, cada uno de los cuales está compuesto por al menos unfilamento que tiene un resistencia a la tracción (-2000 x D + 4400 Mpa) x 95%, donde D es el diámetro del filamento en milímetros. La porción levantada de laúnica capa de carcasa en la porción de talón de una cubierta neumática está interpuesta entre el núcleo del talón y un protector de talón, y el borderadialmente externo de cada porción levantada está en contacto con la porción principal de la capa de carcasa y se extiende hasta un punto final a 0,5 a 4,0pulgadas (12,7 a 101,6 mm) en dirección radialmente externa con respecto al núcleo del talón medido a lo largo de la porción principal de la capa decarcasa de la cubierta. Un protector de talón asociado con cada núcleo de talón tiene un primer y un segundo extremo y cada extremo está dispuestodirectamente adyacente a la capa de carcasa. El primer extremo del protector de talón está situado en la cara axialmente interna de la porción de la capa decarcasa en un punto aproximadamente 0,4 a 3,5 pulgadas (10 a 89 mm) radialmente hacia el exterior del núcleo del talón medido a lo largo de la porciónprincipal de la capa de carcasa y el segundo extremo está situado en un punto que varía entre el punto axialmente más externo del núcleo del talón y unpunto 3,5 pulgadas (89 mm) radialmente externo del núcleo del talón medido a lo largo de la porción levantada de la capade carcasa.
