Abstract

Dat je postupak dobijanja nikla iz lateritskih ruda sa visokim sadržajem magnezijum, koje takodje sadrže i gvoždje. Rude koje su navedene kao saprolitske rude, podvrgavaju se luženju sa mineralnom kiselinom iz grupe koju čine HCl, H2SO4 i HNO3, pri čemu je poželjna HCl. Nakon luženja sa HCl, na primer, dobijeni matični rastvor se odvoji od nerastvorenog čvrstog materijala, a poželjno je da se nikal dobija dovodjenjem rastvora u kontakt sa smolom koja selektivno apsorbuje nikal. Rafinat koji preostaje, a koji sadrži gvoždje - i magnezijum-hlorid, može se podvrći pirohidrolizi da bi se dobili odgovarajući oksidi i slobodna HCl koja se recikluje u sistem za luženje. Nikal se ekstrahuje sa smole rastvorom pomenute kiseline za ispiranje, a nikal se izvlači iz ovog rastvora za ispiranje koji je obogaćen niklom.
