Description

車体前部構造
 本発明は、車体前部構造、特に前サスペンションメンバを車両下部の車体パネルに取り付ける車体前部構造に関する。
 下記特許文献1では、サブフレームと呼ばれる前サスペンションメンバの車両後方側端部がリンクステイと呼ばれる取り付け部材を介して車両下部の車体パネルに取り付けられている。この取り付け部材は、車両前後方向にやや長手な板状部材であり、その車両前方側端部に貫通される第1ボルトで前サスペンションメンバの車両後方側端部を横メンバと呼ばれる車体パネルに締結する。また、この取り付け部材の車両後方側寄りの部分は、軸線方向が車両幅方向と平行な第2ボルトで前端延長部材と呼ばれる車体パネルに対して上下方向に回動可能なるように締結されている。また、前サスペンションメンバの車両前方側端部は延長アームを介してフロントサイドフレームの車両前方側端部のフロントバルクヘッドに連結されている。この車体前部構造では、車両前方からの衝撃荷重に伴って前サスペンションメンバには車両後方向きで且つやや下向きの力が作用し、この力によって、第2ボルトの軸線周りに取り付け部材が回動し、この回動に伴って第1ボルトが車体パネルから引き抜かれ、その結果、前サスペンションメンバが車体の下方に回り込むようにして回転移動される。

 しかしながら、上記特許文献1に記載される車体前部構造において、取り付け部材が、第1ボルト及び第2ボルトとは異なる第3ボルトによっても車体パネルに取り付けられる場合、特に第3ボルトが車両平面視で第1ボルトの位置と第2ボルトの位置を結ぶ直線(線分)から車両幅方向外側にずれて配置される場合、車両前方から衝撃荷重が作用したときに、第1ボルトが効率的に引き抜かれないおそれがある。
 本発明は、前サスペンションメンバを取り付けるための取り付け部材が3つのボルトで車体パネルに取り付けられる場合であっても、前サスペンションメンバを車体パネルに取り付けるための第1ボルトを効率よく下方に引き抜くことが可能な車体前部構造を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明の一態様は、車両の車体パネルと、車体パネルの下方に配置される前サスペンションメンバと、前サスペンションメンバの車両後方側端部に配置される取り付け部材と、前サスペンションメンバと取り付け部材と車体パネルとを締結する第1ボルトと、第1ボルトの車両後方側に配置され且つ取り付け部材と車体パネルとを締結する第2ボルトと、車両平面視における第1ボルトの位置と第2ボルトの位置とを結ぶ直線から車両幅方向外側にずれて配置され且つ取り付け部材と車体パネルとを締結する第3ボルトと、を備え、取り付け部材は、第1ボルトの位置と第2ボルトの位置とを含む部分の強度が第3ボルトの位置を含む部分の強度よりも大きいことを要旨とする。
 本発明の一態様によれば、車両前方から衝撃荷重が作用すると、前サスペンションメンバに車両後方向きで且つやや下向きの力が作用するが、このとき、取り付け部材は、強度の小さい第3ボルトの部分が車体パネル側に残るように破断乃至大きく変形し且つ第1ボルトの位置と第2ボルトの位置を含む強度の大きい部分が第2ボルトの位置を梃子の支点として作用点である第1ボルトの位置を下向きに回転させ、これにより第1ボルトが効率よく車体パネルから下方に引き抜かれる。
 本発明の目的及び利点は、特許請求の範囲に示した要素及びその組合せを用いて具現化され達成される。前述の一般的な記述及び以下の詳細な記述の両方は、単なる例示及び説明であり、特許請求の範囲のように本発明を限定するものでないと解するべきである。

 図1に示す実施形態の車両前部構造は、一例として、上記特許文献1と同様に、車両の前サスペンションメンバ1を、凡そ上記特許文献1と同じ位置で、車両前方の車体下部に取り付けるためのものである。車両前後方向に伸長し且つ車体の主要な骨格を形成するサイドフレーム21は、車両幅方向の両外側寄りの部位において、エンジンルームの部分では前輪の高さの凡そ中央部の高さ位置に配置され、エンジンルームと車室の隔壁となるダッシュにかけて次第に下向きに湾曲され、車室の部分では車室の下面の高さ位置に配置される。前輪のサスペンション機構の各リンク(アーム)部材を車体に連結するための前サスペンションメンバ1(以下、単にサスペンションメンバ1ともいう)は、ダッシュのやや車両前方側の部位で左右のサイドフレーム21に架け渡すように配置される。なお、以下の説明に用いられる車両左側面図は、何れも、車両の幅方向中央側から外側、すなわち車両の右方向を見たものである。
 サスペンションメンバ1は、左右のサイドフレーム21に架け渡すことから、車両平面視で車両幅方向に長手な長方形の厚板プレート形状(中実でなくともよい)をなし、その車両幅方向両端部の車両前方側端部は、上記特許文献1と同様に、フレーム部材31を介して、左右のサイドフレーム21の車両前方側端部に取り付けられている各バルクヘッド32に連結されている。このフレーム部材31は、車両前後方向に伸長するアーム状部材であり、その伸長方向は、車両前方から車両後方に向けてやや下向きに配向されている。従って、もし車両前方から衝撃荷重が作用すると、サスペンションメンバ1には車両後方に向けてやや下向きの力が作用する。また、サスペンションメンバ1の車両幅方向両端部の車両前方側端部は、車両上下方向に伸長する取り付けアーム部材23を介してサイドフレーム21の下面に連結されている。この連結構造には、例えば、軸線が上向きのボルト34をサイドフレーム21の下方から取り付けアーム部材23を通じて上向きにサイドフレーム21に螺着して構成されており、もし、この連結構造部に下向きの引張力が作用した場合には、比較的容易に破断して取り付けアーム部材23が落下するように構成されている。
 図2は、サスペンションメンバ1の車両幅方向両端部の車両後方側端部を車体パネル2に取り付ける取り付け構造の詳細を示す。サスペンションメンバ1の車両幅方向両端部は、それぞれ独立して車体パネル2に取り付けられている。この実施形態では、ピンステイと呼ばれる取り付け部材3を介してサスペンションメンバ1を車体パネルに取り付けている。この取り付け部材3は、図3の底面図に示すように、車両平面視で略三角形の金属製プレート状部材(中実でなくともよい)であり、その三角形の一辺が車両前後方向と略平行になるように配設され、残りの二辺が車両幅方向外側に向けて延在し、突出先端部で交差する。この取り付け部材3は、車両平面視三角形の各頂角の部分(頂部)で3本のボルト4~6を介して車体パネルに締結され、このうち車両幅方向内側で車両前方側のボルトを第1ボルト4、その車両後方側のボルトを第2ボルト5、それらの車両平面視の位置を結ぶ直線(線分)から車両幅方向外側にずれたボルトを第3ボルト6と規定する。
 この実施形態では、第1ボルト4を取り付け部材3の下方からサスペンションメンバ1に挿通し、その挿通先端部を、マウントブラケット2aと呼ばれる車体パネル2に締結する。また、その車両後方側の第2ボルト5は、取り付け部材3を通してアウトリガ2bと呼ばれる車体パネル2に締結する。それらから車両幅方向外側にずれた第3ボルト6も、取り付け部材3を通してアウトリガ2b(車体パネル2)に締結する。これらの車体パネル2は、予め溶接などによって一体に構成されている。また、それぞれの車体パネル2のボルト締結箇所には、例えば、予めナット部材が溶接などによって車体パネル2に固着されている。また、車体パネル2(アウトリガ2b)の第2ボルト5の締結部位は、図1に示すように、車体パネル2の上面側に予め補強部材7が固着されており、その締結部位が補強されている。また、後述するように、取り付け部材3のうち、第1ボルト4の位置と第2ボルト5の位置を含む部分、実質的には第1ボルト4の位置と第2ボルト5の位置を結ぶ領域部分は、その他の部分、すなわち第3ボルト6の位置を含む部分よりも強度が大きく設定されており、この部分に高強度部3aが形成されている。具体的には、プレート状部材である取り付け部材3のうち、第1ボルト4の位置と第2ボルト5の位置を結ぶ領域部分の金属製板材の板厚を、その余の部分よりも大きくすることで高強度部3aが形成されている。ここでは、「強度」は、部材を変形させる力が作用した状態で、部材の変形が塑性変形に至ったときの力の大きさ、いわゆる降伏強さで規定する。すなわち、取り付け部材3の第1ボルト4の位置と第2ボルト5の位置を結ぶ領域部分(高強度部3a)は塑性変形しにくい。
 上記特許文献1では、2本のボルトを用いて、リンクステイと呼ばれる、サスペンションメンバ1の取り付け部材が車体パネルに取り付けられている。このうち、取り付け部材の車両前方側領域でサスペンションメンバを車体パネルに締結しているボルト、すなわち実施形態の第1ボルトに相当するボルトは、軸線が車両上下方向に伸長しており、従って車体の下方から車体パネルに締結しやすい。一方、その車両後方側のボルト(以下、後側ボルトともいう)は、軸線が車両幅方向に伸長しており、しかも車体パネル側には、その軸部を回転自在に挿通するための構造を必要とする。更には、この後側ボルトが螺着されるナットには、ナットそのものを取り付け部材に破壊可能に係止するための構造が必要とされる。従って、上記特許文献1に記載の車体前部構造は、構造が複雑で、コストも高く、後側ボルトの取り付け作業や取り付け部材の組み立て作業も複雑になる。これに対して、この実施形態の車体前部構造のように、軸線が車両上下方向に伸長するボルトを用いて取り付け部材を車体パネルに締結する場合、構造が簡潔でコストも低く、取り付け又は組み立て作業性にも優れる。しかし、取り付け部材の締結用ボルトが2本だけであると、車両横方向に作用する路面からの入力に抗する剛性が不足して操縦安定性が低下するおそれがある。これを回避するため、この実施形態では、第1~第3ボルト4~6を用いて、3カ所で取り付け部材3を車体パネル2に締結する。
 この取り付け部材3の主たる目的は、通常走行時における路面からの入力に抗する剛性を確保することであるが、上記特許文献1と同様に、車両前方から衝撃荷重が作用した場合に、サスペンションメンバ1の車両後方側端部を車体下方に切り落とすこともできる。前述したように、車両前方から衝撃荷重が作用すると、フレーム部材31を介してサスペンションメンバ1に車両後方向きで且つやや下方向きの力が作用する。下向きの力がサスペンションメンバ1に作用すると、図4に示すように、取り付けアーム部材23がサイドフレーム21から比較的容易に脱落し、これによりサスペンションメンバ1の車両後方側端部は車両前方上方から後方下方に回転する回転力が作用する。この回転力により、取り付け部材3は、強度の小さい第3ボルト6の部分が車体パネル2側に残るように破断乃至大きく(塑性)変形すると共に、第1ボルト4の位置と第2ボルト5の位置を含む高強度部3aが第2ボルト5の位置を梃子の支点として作用点である第1ボルト4の位置を下向きに回転させる。従って、第1ボルト4は効率よく車体パネル2から下方に引き抜かれる。更に、この実施形態では、第2ボルト5によって高強度部3aが締結されている部分の車体パネル2(アウトリガ2b)は補強されているので、その部分における車体パネル2の変形が抑制乃至阻止され、これにより第1ボルト4は更に効率よく車体パネル2から下方に引き抜かれる。すなわち、第2ボルト5の締結部位で車体パネル2(2b)が変形すると、第1ボルト4の引抜力が小さくなり、第1ボルト4を車体パネル2(2a)から引き抜くことができないおそれがある。この車体パネル2(2b)の変形を抑制乃至阻止することで、第1ボルト4を車体パネル2(2a)から確実に引き抜くことができる。このように第1ボルト4が車体パネル2から下方に引き抜かれると、サスペンションメンバ1の車両後方側端部が車体下方に切り落とされ、結果としてサスペンションメンバ1は車体の下方に回り込むようにして回転移動される。
 図5に示す車体前部構造の第1変形例では、取り付け部材3の形状と第2ボルト5による車体パネル締結位置が変更されている。この取り付け部材3では、第2ボルト5の位置が図3の第2ボルト5の位置よりも車両幅方向外側に設定されている(締結対象部材はアウトリガ2bであり、変更なし)。その結果、高強度部3aは、車両前方側の第1ボルト4の位置から車両後方側で且つ車両幅方向外側の第2ボルト5の位置に向けて、車両前後方向に対して車両幅方向外側に斜めに伸長されている。更に、この例では、この高強度部3aが車両後方側に延出されて高強度後方延出部(後方延出部)8が形成されている。この例では、高強度部3aが車両前方側から車両後方側にかけて車両幅方向外側に向いて伸長しているので、高強度後方延出部8も第2ボルト5の位置から車両後方側で且つ車両幅方向外側に向けて延出されている。この高強度後方延出部8は、図6の左側面図に示すように、サイドフレーム21の下面に当接されている。サイドフレーム21は、前述のように、車体の主要な骨格を形成する高強度部材である。
 図7に示す取り付け部材3の更なる変形例では、第2ボルト5の位置が図3の第2ボルト5の位置よりも車両幅方向内側に設定されている(締結対象部材はアウトリガ2bであり、変更なし)。その結果、高強度部3aは、車両前方側の第1ボルト4の位置から車両後方側で且つ車両幅方向内側の第2ボルト5の位置に向けて、車両前後方向に対して車両幅方向内側に斜めに伸長されている。更に、この例の高強度後方延出部(後方延出部)8は、高強度部3aが車両前方側から車両後方側にかけて車両幅方向内側に向いて伸長しているので、高強度後方延出部8も第2ボルト5の位置から車両後方側で且つ車両幅方向内側に向けて延出されている。この高強度後方延出部8は、車体パネル2の一部であるセンターフロアパネル22の下面に当接されている。センターフロアパネル22も高強度車体パネル部材である。これらの変形例では、高強度後方延出部8を車体(車体パネル)に結合してもよい。結合方法には、ボルトによる締結の他、溶接やリベット締結などが挙げられる。また、第2ボルト5による締結の位置そのものを高強度後方延出部8の位置に設定してもよい。
 これらの変形例では、何れも高強度部3aが車両後方側に延出されて高強度後方延出部8とされ、この高強度後方延出部8は、図6に示すように、強度の大きい車体(車体パネル)に当接又は結合されている。前述のように、車両前方からの衝撃荷重に伴い、車両後方側に向けて下向きの回転力が取り付け部材3に作用すると、高強度部3aが第2ボルト5の位置を梃子の支点として作用点である第1ボルト4の位置を下向きに回転させるのであるが、この高強度部3aが車両後方側に延出されていることで、車体パネル2(この場合は第2ボルト5が締結されている部分の車体パネル2)に作用する変形力が分散されて押圧力が低減し、その車体パネル2の変形が抑制又は防止されることから、第1ボルト4はより確実に車体パネル2から下方に引き抜かれる。これらの変形例では、高強度後方延出部8を、より強度の大きい、サイドフレーム21やセンターフロアパネル22に向けて延出させるために、高強度部3aの伸長方向が車両前方側から車両後方側に向けて車両幅方向外側又は車両幅方向内側向きになるように第2ボルト5の位置を変更しているが、前述からも推察されるように、高強度後方延出部8は、第1ボルト4の位置に対して第2ボルト5の位置よりも車両後方側に延出されていれば上記の効果は得られる。また、高強度後方延出部8は、必ずしも車体又は車体パネルに当接又は結合されていなくても、例えば、第2ボルト5の位置を梃子の支点として作用点である第1ボルト4の位置を下向きに回転させるように取り付け部材3(高強度部3a)が変位するときに高強度後方延出部8が車体又は車体パネルに当接すれば上記の効果は得られる。
 図8に示す車体前部構造の第2変形例では、取り付け部材3の形状が変更され、それに伴ってサスペンションメンバ1への取り付け部材3の結合箇所が追加されている。この取り付け部材3では、第1ボルト4の位置と第2ボルト5の位置を結ぶ領域部分からなる高強度部3aが車両前方に延出され、この延出部が高強度前方延出部9を形成している。そして、この例では、この高強度前方延出部9の車両前方側端部の位置で高強度前方延出部9が個別の締結ボルト24によってサスペンションメンバ1に締結されている。この高強度前方延出部9は、サスペンションメンバ1に結合されていればよく、結合方法には、ボルトによる締結の他、溶接やリベット締結などが挙げられる。図10には、高強度前方延出部がない取り付け部材3に対し、車両前方からの衝撃荷重に伴う車両後方側に向けて下向きの回転力が作用した場合の取り付け部材3の変形の状態を示す(第2ボルト5は図示を省略)。図10では、少し分かりにくいが、第1ボルト4の近傍で取り付け部材3が下方に凹むように変形しており、この変形のために第1ボルト4が下方に引き抜かれていない。これは、サスペンションメンバ1が車両後方側に向けて下向きに回転されるときに第1ボルト4による取り付け部材3の締結部分に応力が集中して曲げ変形が生じた結果である。
 これに対し、図9には、高強度前方延出部9が設けられた取り付け部材3に対し、車両前方からの衝撃荷重に伴う車両後方側に向けて下向きの回転力が作用した場合の取り付け部材3の変形の状態を示す(第2ボルト5は図示を省略)。図9では、第1ボルト4の近傍における取り付け部材3の変形は見られず、結果として第1ボルト4が下方に引き抜かれている。これは、高強度部3aが第1ボルト4よりも車両前方に延出されていることによって、サスペンションメンバ1が車両後方側に向けて下向きに回転されるときの応力が高強度前方延出部9とサスペンションメンバ1の当接領域で分散された結果である。従って、この効果を得るためには、取り付け部材3に変形力が作用している状態で高強度前方延出部9(の少なくとも一部)がサスペンションメンバ1に当接されていればよいが、両者の当接状態を維持するためには、高強度前方延出部9はサスペンションメンバ1に結合されていることが望ましい。また、第1変形例と同様に、取り付け部材3の高強度部3aや高強度前方延出部9は、凡そ車両前後方向に伸長していればよく、例えば、その車両前方端部が車両前後方向に対して車両幅方向内側又は外側に向いていてもよい。
 以上、実施形態の車体前部構造について説明したが、本件発明は、上記実施形態で述べた構成に限定されるものではなく、本件発明の要旨の範囲内で種々変更が可能である。例えば、上記実施形態では、サスペンションメンバ1を車体パネル2に取り付けるための第1ボルト4はマウントブラケット2aに、第2ボルト5と第3ボルト6はアウトリガ2bに、それぞれ締結されるが、これらのボルトの締結対象は、これらに限定されるものではない。また、第1ボルト4によるサスペンションメンバ1の取り付け構造や、第1ボルト4、第2ボルト5、第3ボルト6のそれぞれの車体パネル2への締結構造も上記に限定されない。
 このように、この実施形態では、車体パネル2の下方に配置されるサスペンションメンバ1の車両後方側端部に取り付け部材3を配置し、サスペンションメンバ1と取り付け部材3と車体パネル2とを第1ボルト4で締結すると共に、第1ボルト4の車両後方側に配置された第2ボルト5で取り付け部材3と車体パネル2を締結し、車両平面視で第1ボルト4の位置と第2ボルト5の位置を結ぶ直線(線分)から車両幅方向外側にずれて配置された第3ボルト6で取り付け部材3と車体パネル2を締結する場合に、第1ボルト4の位置と第2ボルト5の位置を含む領域部分は、第3ボルト6の位置を含む部分の強度よりも強度が大きい高強度部3aとされる。これにより、車両前方からの衝撃荷重に伴ってサスペンションメンバ1に車両後方向きで且つやや下向きの力が作用すると、取り付け部材3は、強度の小さい第3ボルト6の部分が車体パネル2側に残るように破断乃至大きく変形し且つ高強度部3aは第2ボルト5の位置を梃子の支点として作用点である第1ボルト4の位置を下向きに回転させ、これにより第1ボルト4を効率よく車体パネル2から下方に引き抜くことができる。
 また、車体パネル2は、第2ボルト5によって取り付け部材3が締結される部分を補強しておくことにより、高強度部3aが第1ボルト4の位置を下向きに回転させるとき、その部分における車体パネル2の変形が抑制乃至阻止され、これにより第1ボルト4を更に効率よく車体パネル2から下方に引き抜くことができる。
 また、取り付け部材3には、高強度部3aを第2ボルト5の位置よりも車両後方側に延出して後方延出部8を形成しておくことにより、高強度部3aが第1ボルト4の位置を下向きに回転させるときの車体パネル2の変形が抑制乃至阻止され、これにより第1ボルト4を確実に車体パネル2から下方に引き抜くことができる。
 また、強度の大きいサイドフレーム21の下方又はセンターフロアの下方に後方延出部8を位置しておくことにより、高強度部3aが第1ボルト4の位置を下向きに回転させるときの車体パネル2の変形がより一層抑制乃至確実に阻止され、これにより第1ボルト4を確実に車体パネル2から下方に引き抜くことができる。
 また、取り付け部材3には、高強度部3aを第1ボルト4の位置よりも車両前方側に延出して前方延出部9を形成し、この前方延出部9を第1ボルト4よりも車両前方側でサスペンションメンバ1に結合しておくことにより、高強度部3aが第1ボルト4の位置を下向きに回転させるときの取り付け部材3の変形が抑制乃至阻止され、これにより第1ボルト4を確実に車体パネル2から下方に引き抜くことができる。

Claims (5)

  1.  車両の車体パネルと、
     前記車体パネルの下方に配置される前サスペンションメンバと、
     前記前サスペンションメンバの車両後方側端部に配置される取り付け部材と、
     前記前サスペンションメンバと前記取り付け部材と前記車体パネルとを締結する第1ボルトと、
     前記第1ボルトの車両後方側に配置され且つ前記取り付け部材と前記車体パネルとを締結する第2ボルトと、
     車両平面視における前記第1ボルトの位置と前記第2ボルトの位置とを結ぶ直線から車両幅方向外側にずれて配置され且つ前記取り付け部材と前記車体パネルとを締結する第3ボルトと、を備え、
     前記取り付け部材は、前記第1ボルトの位置と前記第2ボルトの位置とを含む部分の強度が前記第3ボルトの位置を含む部分の強度よりも大きいことを特徴とする車体前部構造。
  2.  前記車体パネルは、前記第2ボルトによって前記取り付け部材が締結される部分が補強されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車体前部構造。
  3.  前記取り付け部材は、前記強度の大きい部分が前記第2ボルトの位置よりも車両後方側に延出される後方延出部を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車体前部構造。
  4.  前記後方延出部は、車両のサイドフレームの下方又はセンターフロアの下方に位置することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の車体前部構造。
  5.  前記取り付け部材は、前記強度の大きい部分が前記第1ボルトの位置よりも車両前方側に延出される前方延出部を有し、前記前方延出部は前記第1ボルトよりも車両前方側で前記前サスペンションメンバに結合されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車体前部構造。
