- the lower part of the compensation chain 10 (the part hanging down in a U-shape) is disposed symmetrically with respect to the center of amplitude 14.
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing an arrangement of the compensation chain and the vibration suppressing member.
- FIG. 2 it is assumed that two compensation chains 10 are connected to one car 1, but the number of compensation chains 10 connected to the car 1 may be one or more.
- a rod 21 is suspended between a pair of guide rails 20.
- the pair of guide rails 20 are rails that are arranged vertically in the elevator shaft 12 to guide the upward and downward movement of the counterweight 3.
- a bracket 22 is fixed to each of the pair of guide rails 20.
- the bracket 22 is a plate-shaped member made of metal.
- the rod 21 is a long rod with a rectangular cross section.
- the cross-sectional shape of the rod 21 may be a shape other than a rectangular shape, such as an inverted L-shape or a T-shape.
- the rod 21 is preferably made of a metal material such as steel.
- the rod 21 is arranged horizontally. Both ends of the rod 21 are fixed to a pair of guide rails 20 via corresponding brackets 22.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is attached to the rod 21. Two vibration suppression members 11 are attached to one rod 21. However, the number of vibration suppression members 11 may be one or more.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is made of a rubber material. This rubber material is, for example, a synthetic rubber such as chloroprene rubber.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is composed of a rectangular flat plate.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is arranged horizontally (parallel to the horizontal plane). Therefore, the vibration suppression member 11 has a higher rigidity in the horizontal direction than in the vertical direction. In other words, the vibration suppression member 11 is less likely to deform when subjected to a force in the horizontal direction (left-right direction in Figure 1), but is more likely to deform when subjected to a force in the vertical direction (up-down direction in Figure 1).
- the vibration suppression member 11 is fixed to the upper surface of the rod 21 using, for example, a tie wrap band (not shown).
- the vibration suppression member 11 can be fixed to the rod 21 by passing a tie wrap band through a through hole provided in the vibration suppression member 11 and wrapping and tightening the tie wrap band around the vibration suppression member 11 and the rod 21.
- the method of fixing the vibration suppression member 11 is not limited to using a tie wrap band, and other methods such as screwing or adhesive bonding may also be used.
- the swing of the compensation chain 10 occurs when the car 1 and the counterweight 3 are moved (raised and lowered) in either the up or down direction.
- the movement direction of the compensation chain 10 when the car 1 is raised is opposite to the directions of the arrows D and U shown in FIG. 3.
- the compensation chain 10 may hit the equipment in the hoistway 12 and cause the equipment to be damaged.
- a vibration suppression member 11 is placed in the elevator shaft 12, and this vibration suppression member 11 suppresses the vibration (vibration) of the compensation chain 10.
- the function of the vibration suppression member 11 will be described in detail below.
- the compensation chain 10 moves at high speed in the directions of the arrows U and D according to the lifting and lowering speed of the car 1 and the counterweight 3, while slowly swinging left and right. Therefore, when the compensation chain 10 comes into contact with the rod 21, the rod 21 is subjected to a vertical force due to the movement of the compensation chain 10 and a horizontal force due to the swinging of the compensation chain 10. In particular, when the compensation chain 10 comes into contact with the rod 21 while moving at high speed in the directions of the arrows U and D, a strong impact is applied to the rod 21, generating a loud collision sound. Such a collision sound also occurs when the compensation chain 10 comes into contact with the rod 21 while moving at high speed in the opposite direction to the arrows U and D.
- a sway suppression member 11 is attached to the rod 21. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 6, when the compensation chain 10 sways left and right (left in the illustrated example), the compensation chain 10 comes into contact with the sway suppression member 11. As described above, the sway suppression member 11 has a higher rigidity in the horizontal direction than in the vertical direction. Therefore, when a left-right force is applied to the sway suppression member 11 due to the swaying of the compensation chain 10, the sway suppression member 11 pushes back against the left-right force. As a result, the swaying of the compensation chain 10 is suppressed.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is disposed inside the compensation chain 10. Therefore, when the vibration suppression member 11 is attached inside the hoistway 12, interference between the compensation chain 10 and the vibration suppression member 11 can be avoided. Therefore, the vibration suppression member 11 can be easily attached.
- the vibration suppression member 11 has a higher rigidity in the horizontal direction than in the vertical direction, so that the vibration of the compensation chain 10 can be suppressed while suppressing the generation of collision noise due to contact with the compensation chain 10.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is made of a rectangular flat plate. This allows the cost of the vibration suppression member 11 to be kept low.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is disposed at the center of amplitude 14 of the compensation chain 10. This makes it possible to effectively suppress the vibration of the compensation chain 10. Furthermore, the vibration suppression member 11 can be disposed at a position sufficiently distant from the chain portions 10a and 10b of the compensation chain 10 in the vibration direction of the compensation chain 10 (the left-right direction in FIG. 5). Therefore, even if the vibration suppression member 11 is installed later, the installation work of the vibration suppression member 11 can be easily performed.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is attached to a rod 21 that is suspended between a pair of guide rails 20. This allows the vibration suppression member 11 to be installed in a stable state within the elevator shaft 12.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is made of rubber material. This makes it possible to reduce (absorb) the impact when the compensation chain 10 comes into contact with the vibration suppression member 11.
- the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, but includes various modified examples.
- the contents of the present invention are described in detail to make it easier to understand, but the present invention is not necessarily limited to having all the configurations described in the above-described embodiment.
- the vibration suppression member 11 is made of rubber material, but this is not limited thereto.
- the vibration suppression member 11 may be made of a thin metal (such as stainless steel) plate.
- the rod 21 is hung between a pair of guide rails 20, and the vibration suppression member 11 is attached to this rod 21, but this is not limited thereto.
- a long flat plate may be hung between the pair of guide rails 20 as the vibration suppression member.
- a bracket may be attached to the lower part of the elevator shaft 12, and the vibration suppression member 11 may be attached to this bracket.
- the compensation chain 10 is given as an example of a suspended object, but this is not limiting, and the suspended object may be a tail cord 8.
