本発明の好適な一態様の潤滑油組成物は、優れた冷却性及び絶縁性を有する。そのため、本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、電気機器の冷却に好適に使用し得る。
本明細書に記載された数値範囲については、上限値及び下限値を任意に組み合わせることができる。例えば、数値範囲として「好ましくは30~100、より好ましくは40~80」と記載されている場合、「30~80」との範囲や「40~100」との範囲も、本明細書に記載された数値範囲に含まれる。また、例えば、数値範囲として「好ましくは30以上、より好ましくは40以上であり、また、好ましくは100以下、より好ましくは80以下である」と記載されている場合、「30~80」との範囲や「40~100」との範囲も、本明細書に記載された数値範囲に含まれる。

〔潤滑油組成物の構成〕
本発明の一態様は、基油(A)(以下、「成分(A)」ともいう)と、平均一次粒子径が500nm以下の固体粒子(B)(以下、「成分(B)」ともいう)と、分散剤(C)(以下、「成分(C)」ともいう)とを含む潤滑油組成物であって、固体粒子(B)の含有量が、前記潤滑油組成物の全量基準で、0.1~30質量%であり、分散剤(C)の含有量が、前記潤滑油組成物の全量基準で、0.1~20質量%である、潤滑油組成物である。
電気機器の冷却に用いる潤滑油組成物には、絶縁性を高くする観点から、基油(A)を配合することが好適である。一方、基油(A)を配合してなる潤滑油組成物は、冷却性の向上も求められていた。固体粒子(B)を含有する潤滑油組成物は、冷却性を向上させることができるが、固体粒子(B)を均一に分散させるためには分散剤の添加が必要であった。ところが、分散剤の添加量が増えると潤滑油組成物の粘度が高くなってしまう傾向があり、優れた冷却性を発揮しつつ、潤滑油組成物の粘度を適切な範囲に調整することは困難であった。
このような問題に対して、本発明者らは、成分(B)と成分(C)の含有量をそれぞれ所定の範囲に調整することで、潤滑油組成物の粘度を低く保ちつつ、優れた冷却性と絶縁性を発揮し得る潤滑油組成物となることを見出し、本発明を完成させるに至った。
本発明の一態様は、基油(A)(以下、「成分(A)」ともいう)と、平均一次粒子径が500nm以下の固体粒子(B)(以下、「成分(B)」ともいう)と、分散剤(C)(以下、「成分(C)」ともいう)とを含む潤滑油組成物であって、固体粒子(B)の含有量が、前記潤滑油組成物の全量基準で、0.1~30質量%であり、分散剤(C)の含有量が、前記潤滑油組成物の全量基準で、0.1~20質量%である、潤滑油組成物である。
電気機器の冷却に用いる潤滑油組成物には、絶縁性を高くする観点から、基油(A)を配合することが好適である。一方、基油(A)を配合してなる潤滑油組成物は、冷却性の向上も求められていた。固体粒子(B)を含有する潤滑油組成物は、冷却性を向上させることができるが、固体粒子(B)を均一に分散させるためには分散剤の添加が必要であった。ところが、分散剤の添加量が増えると潤滑油組成物の粘度が高くなってしまう傾向があり、優れた冷却性を発揮しつつ、潤滑油組成物の粘度を適切な範囲に調整することは困難であった。
このような問題に対して、本発明者らは、成分(B)と成分(C)の含有量をそれぞれ所定の範囲に調整することで、潤滑油組成物の粘度を低く保ちつつ、優れた冷却性と絶縁性を発揮し得る潤滑油組成物となることを見出し、本発明を完成させるに至った。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の40℃における動粘度は、好ましくは20mm2/s以下、より好ましくは19mm2/s以下、更に好ましくは18mm2/s以下、より更に好ましくは17mm2/s以下、より更に好ましくは16mm2/s以下、特に好ましくは15mm2/s以下である。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の粘度指数としては、好ましくは70以上、より好ましくは80以上、更に好ましくは90以上、より更に好ましくは100以上である。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、実質的に水を含まない。「実質的に水を含まない」とは、水及び水を含有する混合溶媒を意図的に配合してなる潤滑油組成物を除外することを意味する。ただし、本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、不可避的に水が配合されてしまう態様までを除外するわけではないが、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、このような水の含有量も極力少ない程好ましい。
具体的には、不可避的に混入してしまう水の含有量は、前記潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、好ましくは0.05質量%未満、より好ましくは0.03質量%未満、更に好ましくは0.01質量%未満、特に好ましくは0.001質量%未満である。

本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに成分(B)及び(C)以外の他の潤滑油用添加剤を含有してもよい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物において、成分(A)及び(B)の合計含有量は、当該潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、好ましくは50質量%以上、より好ましくは60質量%以上、より好ましくは70質量%以上、更に好ましくは80質量%以上、特に好ましくは90質量%以上であり、また、100質量%以下、99.0質量%以下、98.0質量%以下、97.0質量%以下、96.0質量%以下、又は95.0質量%以下、としてもよい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物において、成分(A)及び(C)の合計含有量は、当該潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、好ましくは50質量%以上、より好ましくは60質量%以上、より好ましくは70質量%以上、更に好ましくは80質量%以上、特に好ましくは90質量%以上であり、また、100質量%以下、99.5質量%以下、又は99.0質量%以下としてもよい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物において、成分(B)及び(C)の合計含有量は、当該潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、好ましくは0.2質量%以上、より好ましくは0.5質量%以上、更に好ましくは1.0質量%以上、より更に好ましくは3.0質量%以上、より更に好ましくは5.0質量%以上、より更に好ましくは8.0質量%以上、特に好ましくは10質量%以上であり、また、好ましくは50質量%以下、より好ましくは45質量%以下、更に好ましくは40質量%以下、より更に好ましくは35質量%以下、より更に好ましくは30質量%以下、より更に好ましくは25質量%以下、特に好ましくは20質量%以下である。
以下、本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物に含まれる各成分の詳細について説明する。
<基油(A)>
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物に含まれる基油としては、鉱油であってもよく、合成油であってもよく、鉱油と合成油との混合油を用いてもよい。
鉱油としては、例えば、パラフィン系原油、中間基系原油、ナフテン系原油等の原油を常圧蒸留して得られる常圧残油;これらの常圧残油を減圧蒸留して得られる留出油;当該留出油を、溶剤脱れき、溶剤抽出、水素化分解、溶剤脱ろう、接触脱ろう、及び水素化精製等の精製処理を1つ以上施して得られる精製油;等が挙げられる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物に含まれる基油としては、鉱油であってもよく、合成油であってもよく、鉱油と合成油との混合油を用いてもよい。
鉱油としては、例えば、パラフィン系原油、中間基系原油、ナフテン系原油等の原油を常圧蒸留して得られる常圧残油;これらの常圧残油を減圧蒸留して得られる留出油;当該留出油を、溶剤脱れき、溶剤抽出、水素化分解、溶剤脱ろう、接触脱ろう、及び水素化精製等の精製処理を1つ以上施して得られる精製油;等が挙げられる。
合成油としては、例えば、α-オレフィンやその単独重合体、又はα-オレフィン共重合体(例えば、エチレン-α-オレフィン共重合体等の炭素数8~14のα-オレフィン共重合体)等のポリα-オレフィン;イソパラフィン;リン酸モノエステル等のモノエステル系油;ポリフェニルエーテル等のエーテル系油;アルキルベンゼン;アルキルナフタレン;天然ガスからフィッシャー・トロプシュ法等により製造されるワックス(GTLワックス(Gas To Liquids WAX))を異性化することで得られる合成油(GTL);石炭からフィッシャー・トロプシュ法等により製造されるワックス(CTLワックス(Coal To Liquids WAX))を異性化することで得られる合成油(CTL);バイオマスからフィッシャー・トロプシュ法等により製造されるワックス(BTLワックス(Biomass To Liquids WAX))を異性化することで得られる合成油(BTL)等が挙げられる。
これらの中でも、本発明の一態様で用いる基油は、API(米国石油協会)基油カテゴリーのグループ2及びグループ3に分類される鉱油、並びに、合成油から選ばれる少なくとも1種を含むことが好ましい。本発明の一態様において、これらの基油は、1種を単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、少なくとも鉱油(A1)を含むことが好ましい。本発明の別の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、上記と同様の観点から、鉱油(A1)並びにナフテン系油、ポリα-オレフィン、芳香族油及びエーテル系油からなる群から選択される1種以上の合成油(A2)の混合基油を含むことが好ましく、合成油(A2)としては、ナフテン系油及びポリα-オレフィンがより好ましい。
本発明の更に別の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、基油(A)として、極性の高い成分を実質的に含有しないことが好ましい。具体的には、例えば、アルコール(1級アルコール、2級アルコール、3級アルコール等)又はモノエステル化合物以外のエステル化合物(ジエステル化合物、トリエステル化合物等)を実質的に含まないことが好ましい。「アルコール又はモノエステル化合物以外のエステル化合物を実質的に含まない」とは、これらを意図的に配合してなる潤滑油組成物を除外することを意味し、不可避的にこれらが配合されてしまう態様までを除外するわけではないが、上記と同様の観点から、このようなアルコール又はモノエステル化合物以外のエステル化合物の含有量も極力少ない程好ましい。
具体的には、不可避的に混入してしまうアルコール又はモノエステル化合物以外のエステル化合物の含有量は、前記潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、好ましくは0.05質量%未満、より好ましくは0.03質量%未満、更に好ましくは0.01質量%未満、特に好ましくは0.001質量%未満である。
なお、本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、基油(A)として、モノエステル化合物は含んでいてもよい。
具体的には、不可避的に混入してしまうアルコール又はモノエステル化合物以外のエステル化合物の含有量は、前記潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、好ましくは0.05質量%未満、より好ましくは0.03質量%未満、更に好ましくは0.01質量%未満、特に好ましくは0.001質量%未満である。
なお、本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、基油(A)として、モノエステル化合物は含んでいてもよい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、基油(A)として、大豆油、パーム油、パーム核油、ヒマワリ油及び菜種油等の植物油を実質的に含有しないことが好ましい。「植物油を実質的に含まない」とは、これらを意図的に配合してなる潤滑油組成物を除外することを意味し、不可避的にこれらが配合されてしまう態様までを除外するわけではないが、上記と同様の観点から、このような植物油の含有量も極力少ない程好ましい。
具体的には、不可避的に混入してしまう植物油の含有量は、前記潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、好ましくは0.05質量%未満、より好ましくは0.03質量%未満、更に好ましくは0.01質量%未満、特に好ましくは0.001質量%未満である。

本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、鉱油(A1)100質量部に対するアルコール又はモノエステル化合物以外のエステル化合物の含有量が、好ましくは0~0.1質量部、より好ましくは0~0.01質量部、更に好ましくは0~0.001質量部である。
本発明の別の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、鉱油(A1)100質量部に対するアルコール又はエステル化合物の含有量が、好ましくは0~0.1質量部、より好ましくは0~0.01質量部、更に好ましくは0~0.001質量部である。
本発明の更に別の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、鉱油(A1)100質量部に対する植物油の含有量が、好ましくは0~0.1質量部、より好ましくは0~0.01質量部、更に好ましくは0~0.001質量部である。
本発明の別の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、鉱油(A1)100質量部に対するアルコール又はエステル化合物の含有量が、好ましくは0~0.1質量部、より好ましくは0~0.01質量部、更に好ましくは0~0.001質量部である。
本発明の更に別の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、高い絶縁性を有する潤滑油組成物とする観点から、鉱油(A1)100質量部に対する植物油の含有量が、好ましくは0~0.1質量部、より好ましくは0~0.01質量部、更に好ましくは0~0.001質量部である。
本発明の一態様で用いる基油(A)の40℃における動粘度は、好ましくは10mm2/s以下、より好ましくは9.5mm2/s以下、更に好ましくは9.0mm2/s以下、特に好ましくは8.5mm2/s以下であり、また、好ましくは1.0mm2/s以上、より好ましくは2.0mm2/s以上、更に好ましくは2.5mm2/s以上、より更に好ましくは3.0mm2/s以上である。基油の40℃動粘度が10mm2/s以下であれば、潤滑油組成物の粘度を低く保つことができ、高い冷却性が得られるため好ましい。一方、基油の40℃動粘度が1.0mm2/s以上であれば、油膜保持のため好ましい。
また、本発明の一態様で用いる基油(A)の粘度指数は、温度変化による粘度変化を抑えると共に、冷却性の向上の観点から、好ましくは70以上、より好ましくは80以上、更に好ましくは90以上、より更に好ましくは100以上である。
本明細書において、動粘度及び粘度指数は、JIS K2283:2000に準拠して測定又は算出された値を意味する。

本発明の一態様で用いる基油(A)の体積抵抗率は、好ましくは8.0×1010Ω・m以上、より好ましくは1.0×1011Ω・m以上、更に好ましくは1.0×1012Ω・m以上、より更に好ましくは5.0×1012Ω・m以上、特に好ましくは15×1012Ω・m以上である。基油(A)の体積抵抗率が8.0×1010Ω・m以上であれば、絶縁性の高い潤滑油組成物を得ることができる。なお、本明細書中、体積抵抗率は、JIS C2101に準拠し、測定温度80℃、印加電圧250Vの条件下で測定したものである。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物において、基油(A)の含有量としては、当該潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、通常55質量%以上、好ましくは60質量%以上、より好ましくは65質量%以上、更に好ましくは70質量%以上、より更に好ましくは75質量%以上、特に好ましくは80質量%以上であり、また、好ましくは99.9質量%以下、より好ましくは98質量%以下、更に好ましくは95質量%以下である。
<固体粒子(B)>
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、平均一次粒子径が500nm以下の固体粒子(B)を含む。当該固体粒子(B)を含有することで、潤滑油組成物の冷却性を向上させることができる。
固体粒子(B)としては、例えば、二酸化ケイ素(SiO2)、酸化アルミニウム(Al2O3)、窒化アルミニウム(AlN)、酸化チタン(TiO2)、酸化ジルコニウム(ZrO2)、酸化イットリウム(Y2O3)、酸化タングステン(WO3)、五酸化タンタル(Ta2O5)、五酸化バナジウム(V2O5)、五酸化ニオブ(Nb2O5)、酸化セリウム(CeO2)、炭化ホウ素(B4C)、チタン酸アルミニウム(Al2TiO5)、窒化ホウ素(BN)、二ケイ化モリブデン(MoSi2)、炭化ケイ素(SiC)、窒化ケイ素(Si3N4)、炭化チタン(TiC)、窒化チタン(TiN)、ホウ化ジルコニウム(ZrB2)、酸化カルシウム(CaO)、酸化ストロンチウム(SrO)、酸化バリウム(BaO)及び粘土鉱物を挙げることができる。また、固体粒子(B)は、上記に挙げたものの混合物、並びに、熱的に安定な炭酸塩または硫酸塩であってもよい。その中でも、固体粒子(B)として、二酸化ケイ素が特に好ましい。
本発明の一態様において、これらの固体粒子は、1種を単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。

固体粒子(B)としては、例えば、二酸化ケイ素(SiO2)、酸化アルミニウム(Al2O3)、窒化アルミニウム(AlN)、酸化チタン(TiO2)、酸化ジルコニウム(ZrO2)、酸化イットリウム(Y2O3)、酸化タングステン(WO3)、五酸化タンタル(Ta2O5)、五酸化バナジウム(V2O5)、五酸化ニオブ(Nb2O5)、酸化セリウム(CeO2)、炭化ホウ素(B4C)、チタン酸アルミニウム(Al2TiO5)、窒化ホウ素(BN)、二ケイ化モリブデン(MoSi2)、炭化ケイ素(SiC)、窒化ケイ素(Si3N4)、炭化チタン(TiC)、窒化チタン(TiN)、ホウ化ジルコニウム(ZrB2)、酸化カルシウム(CaO)、酸化ストロンチウム(SrO)、酸化バリウム(BaO)及び粘土鉱物を挙げることができる。また、固体粒子(B)は、上記に挙げたものの混合物、並びに、熱的に安定な炭酸塩または硫酸塩であってもよい。その中でも、固体粒子(B)として、二酸化ケイ素が特に好ましい。
本発明の一態様において、これらの固体粒子は、1種を単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる固体粒子(B)の平均一次粒子径は、500nm以下であるが、固体粒子(B)の分散性を良好なものとし、かつ冷却性の高い潤滑油組成物を得る観点から、好ましくは400nm以下、より好ましくは300nm以下、更に好ましくは200nm以下、特に好ましくは100nm以下であり、また、90nm以下、80nm以下、70nm以下、60nm以下、50nm以下、40nm以下、30nm以下、20nm以下、又は10nm以下としてもよい。固体粒子(B)の平均一次粒子径の下限値は特に制限されないが、例えば1nm以上、3nm以上、又は5nm以上としてもよい。
本明細書中、固体粒子(B)の平均一次粒子径は、走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)を用いて、無作為に選択した100個以上の一次粒子の円相当径の平均値を算出することで得られる値を意味する。また、固体粒子(B)は、二次粒子を形成してもよく、二次粒子を形成しなくてもよい。
本明細書中、固体粒子(B)の平均一次粒子径は、走査型電子顕微鏡(SEM)を用いて、無作為に選択した100個以上の一次粒子の円相当径の平均値を算出することで得られる値を意味する。また、固体粒子(B)は、二次粒子を形成してもよく、二次粒子を形成しなくてもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる固体粒子(B)は、表面処理剤により表面処理が施されたものであってもよく、表面処理が施されていないものであってもよい。表面処理が施された固体粒子を用いることで、固体粒子の分散性がより向上し、冷却性の高い潤滑油組成物を得ることができる。表面処理剤としては、例えば、シランカップリング剤やシリコーンオイル等が挙げられる。
シランカップリング剤としては、例えば、ビニルトリメトキシシラン、ビニルトリエトキシシラン、2-(3,4-エポキシシクロヘキシル)エチルトリメトキシシラン、3-グリシドキシプロピルメチルジメトキシシラン、3-グリシドキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-グリシドキシプロピルメチルジエトキシシラン、3-グリシドキシプロピルトリエトキシシラン、p-スチリルトリメトキシシラン、3-メタクリロキシプロピルメチルジメトキシシラン、3-メタクリロキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-メタクリロキシプロピルメチルジエトキシシラン、3-メタクリロキシプロピルトリエトキシシラン、3-アクリロキシプロピルトリメトキシシラン、N-2-(アミノエチル)-3-アミノプロピルメチルジメトキシシラン、N-2-(アミノエチル)-3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-アミノプロピルトリエトキシシラン、3-トリエトキシシリル-N-(1,3-ジメチル-ブチリデン)プロピルアミン、N-フェニル-3-アミノプロピルトリメトキシシラン、トリス-(トリメトキシシリルプロピル)イソシアヌレート、3-メルカプトプロピルメチルジメトキシシラン、3-メルカプトプロピルトリメトキシシラン、3-イソシアネートプロピルトリエトキシシラン、及び3-トリメトキシシリルプロピルコハク酸無水物が挙げられる。
シリコーンオイルとしては、例えば、ジメチルポリシロキサン、メチルフェニルポリシロキサン、メチルハイドロジェンポリシロキサン等のいわゆるストレートシリコーンオイル;ポリエーテル変性ポリシロキサン、アミノ変性ポリシロキサン、エポキシ変性ポリシロキサン、ポリエーテル変性ポリシロキサン、フェノール変性ポリシロキサン、カルボキシ変性ポリシロキサン、メルカプト変性ポリシロキサン、アクリル変性ポリシロキサン、メタクリル変性ポリシロキサン、アルキル変性ポリシロキサン等のいわゆる変性シリコーンオイルなどが挙げられる。
本発明の一態様で用いる固体粒子(B)は、表面に細孔(ポーラス)を有する多孔質のものを用いてもよく、細孔を有しない非孔質のものを用いてもよい。本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、冷却性の高い潤滑油組成物とする観点から、非孔質の固体粒子(B)を用いることが好ましい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物において、固体粒子(B)の含有量は、潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、0.1~30質量%であるが、冷却性の高い潤滑油組成物とする観点から、好ましくは0.5質量%以上、より好ましくは1.0質量%以上、更に好ましくは3.0質量%以上、より更に好ましくは5.0質量%以上、特に好ましくは10質量%以上であり、また、固体粒子(B)の分散性を良好にする観点から、好ましくは25質量%以下、より好ましくは20質量%以下、更に好ましくは18質量%以下、特に好ましくは15質量%以下である。
なお、固体粒子(B)の含有量は、固形分換算での含有量を意味する。また、表面処理が施された固体粒子を用いる場合、表面処理剤の量も固体粒子(B)の含有量に含まれる。

<分散剤(C)>
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、分散剤(C)を含む。分散剤(C)を含有することで、固体粒子(B)を潤滑油組成物中に均一に分散させ、冷却性の高い潤滑油組成物とすることができる。
分散剤(C)としては、例えば、コハク酸イミド系分散剤、ビニルピロリドン(VP)/ヘキサデセンコポリマー、ベンジルアミン類、ホウ素含有ベンジルアミン類、コハク酸エステル類、脂肪酸あるいはコハク酸で代表される一価又は二価カルボン酸アミド類等の無灰系分散剤等を用いることができる。その中でも、コハク酸イミド系分散剤又はVP/ヘキサデセンコポリマーが好ましい。
また、コハク酸イミド系分散剤は、アルケニルコハク酸イミドが好ましく、ホウ素化合物、アルコール、アルデヒド、ケトン、アルキルフェノール、環状カーボネート、エポキシ化合物、及び有機酸等から選ばれる1種以上と反応させた、変性アルケニルコハク酸イミドであってもよい。
本発明の一態様において、これらの分散剤は、1種を単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、分散剤(C)を含む。分散剤(C)を含有することで、固体粒子(B)を潤滑油組成物中に均一に分散させ、冷却性の高い潤滑油組成物とすることができる。
分散剤(C)としては、例えば、コハク酸イミド系分散剤、ビニルピロリドン(VP)/ヘキサデセンコポリマー、ベンジルアミン類、ホウ素含有ベンジルアミン類、コハク酸エステル類、脂肪酸あるいはコハク酸で代表される一価又は二価カルボン酸アミド類等の無灰系分散剤等を用いることができる。その中でも、コハク酸イミド系分散剤又はVP/ヘキサデセンコポリマーが好ましい。
また、コハク酸イミド系分散剤は、アルケニルコハク酸イミドが好ましく、ホウ素化合物、アルコール、アルデヒド、ケトン、アルキルフェノール、環状カーボネート、エポキシ化合物、及び有機酸等から選ばれる1種以上と反応させた、変性アルケニルコハク酸イミドであってもよい。
本発明の一態様において、これらの分散剤は、1種を単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物において、分散剤(C)の含有量は、潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、0.1~20質量%であるが、固体粒子の分散性を良好にする観点から、好ましくは0.5質量%以上、より好ましくは1.0質量%以上、更に好ましくは1.5質量%以上、特に好ましくは2.0質量%以上であり、また、潤滑油組成物の粘度を低く保つ観点から、好ましくは20質量%以下、より好ましくは15質量%以下、更に好ましくは12質量%以下、より更に好ましくは10質量%以下である。
なお、分散剤(C)の含有量は、固形分換算での含有量を意味する。

本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物において、固体粒子(B)と、分散剤(C)との含有量比〔(B)/(C)〕は、質量比で、0.05以上3未満であるが、固体粒子(B)の分散性を向上させる観点から、好ましくは0.06以上、より好ましくは0.07以上、更に好ましくは0.08以上、より更に好ましくは0.09以上、特に好ましくは0.1以上であり、また、冷却性の向上及び潤滑油組成物の粘度を低く保つ観点から、好ましくは3以下、より好ましくは2.5以下、更に好ましくは2以下、より更に好ましくは1.5以下、特に好ましくは1以下である。
<各種添加剤>
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、本発明の効果を損なわない範囲で、必要に応じて、各種添加剤を含有してもよい。
このような各種添加剤としては、例えば、粘度指数向上剤、流動点降下剤、酸化防止剤、金属系清浄剤、耐摩耗剤、防錆剤、消泡剤、極圧添加剤等が挙げられる。
これらの潤滑油用添加剤は、それぞれ、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、本発明の効果を損なわない範囲で、必要に応じて、各種添加剤を含有してもよい。
このような各種添加剤としては、例えば、粘度指数向上剤、流動点降下剤、酸化防止剤、金属系清浄剤、耐摩耗剤、防錆剤、消泡剤、極圧添加剤等が挙げられる。
これらの潤滑油用添加剤は、それぞれ、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
これらの各種添加剤のそれぞれの含有量は、本発明の効果を損なわない範囲内で、適宜調整することができるが、潤滑油組成物の全量(100質量%)基準で、それぞれの添加剤ごとに独立して、通常0.001~15質量%、好ましくは0.005~10質量%、より好ましくは0.01~5質量%である。
また、添加剤として、複数の添加剤を含有する市販品の添加剤パッケージを用いてもよい。
また、上記の添加剤としての機能を複数有する化合物(例えば、耐摩耗剤及び極圧添加剤としての機能を有する化合物)を用いてもよい。
さらに、これらの潤滑油用添加剤は、それぞれ、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
また、上記の添加剤としての機能を複数有する化合物(例えば、耐摩耗剤及び極圧添加剤としての機能を有する化合物)を用いてもよい。
さらに、これらの潤滑油用添加剤は、それぞれ、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
[粘度指数向上剤]
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに粘度指数向上剤を含有してもよい。粘度指数向上剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる粘度指数向上剤としては、例えば、例えば、ポリメタクリレート、分散型ポリメタクリレート、オレフィン系共重合体(例えば、エチレン-プロピレン共重合体など)、分散型オレフィン系共重合体、スチレン系共重合体(例えば、スチレン-ジエン共重合体、スチレン-イソプレン共重合体など)等が挙げられる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに粘度指数向上剤を含有してもよい。粘度指数向上剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる粘度指数向上剤としては、例えば、例えば、ポリメタクリレート、分散型ポリメタクリレート、オレフィン系共重合体(例えば、エチレン-プロピレン共重合体など)、分散型オレフィン系共重合体、スチレン系共重合体(例えば、スチレン-ジエン共重合体、スチレン-イソプレン共重合体など)等が挙げられる。
[流動点降下剤]
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに流動点降下剤を含有してもよい。流動点降下剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる流動点降下剤としては、例えば、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体、塩素化パラフィンとナフタレンとの縮合物、塩素化パラフィンとフェノールとの縮合物、ポリメタクリレート、ポリアルキルスチレン等が挙げられる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに流動点降下剤を含有してもよい。流動点降下剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる流動点降下剤としては、例えば、エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体、塩素化パラフィンとナフタレンとの縮合物、塩素化パラフィンとフェノールとの縮合物、ポリメタクリレート、ポリアルキルスチレン等が挙げられる。
[酸化防止剤]
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに酸化防止剤を含有してもよい。酸化防止剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる酸化防止剤としては、例えば、アルキル化ジフェニルアミン、フェニルナフチルアミン、アルキル化フェニルナフチルアミン等のアミン系酸化防止剤;2、6-ジ-t-ブチルフェノール、4,4’-メチレンビス(2,6ージーtーブチルフェノール)、イソオクチル-3-(3,5-ジ-t-ブチル-4-ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート、n-オクタデシル-3-(3,5-ジ-t-ブチル-4-ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート等のフェノール系酸化防止剤;フェノチアジン、ジオクタデシルサルファイド、ジラウリル-3,3'-チオジプロピオネート、2-メルカプトベンゾイミダゾール等の硫黄系酸化防止剤;等が挙げられる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに酸化防止剤を含有してもよい。酸化防止剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる酸化防止剤としては、例えば、アルキル化ジフェニルアミン、フェニルナフチルアミン、アルキル化フェニルナフチルアミン等のアミン系酸化防止剤;2、6-ジ-t-ブチルフェノール、4,4’-メチレンビス(2,6ージーtーブチルフェノール)、イソオクチル-3-(3,5-ジ-t-ブチル-4-ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート、n-オクタデシル-3-(3,5-ジ-t-ブチル-4-ヒドロキシフェニル)プロピオネート等のフェノール系酸化防止剤;フェノチアジン、ジオクタデシルサルファイド、ジラウリル-3,3'-チオジプロピオネート、2-メルカプトベンゾイミダゾール等の硫黄系酸化防止剤;等が挙げられる。
[金属系清浄剤]
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに金属系清浄剤を含有してもよい。金属系清浄剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる金属系清浄剤としては、金属スルホネート、金属サリシレート、及び金属フェネート等の金属塩が挙げられる。また、当該金属塩を構成する金属原子としては、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる金属原子が好ましく、ナトリウム、カルシウム、マグネシウム、又はバリウムがより好ましく、カルシウムが更に好ましい。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに金属系清浄剤を含有してもよい。金属系清浄剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる金属系清浄剤としては、金属スルホネート、金属サリシレート、及び金属フェネート等の金属塩が挙げられる。また、当該金属塩を構成する金属原子としては、アルカリ金属及びアルカリ土類金属から選ばれる金属原子が好ましく、ナトリウム、カルシウム、マグネシウム、又はバリウムがより好ましく、カルシウムが更に好ましい。
[耐摩耗剤]
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに耐摩耗剤を含有してもよい。耐摩耗剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる耐摩耗剤としては、例えば、ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛(ZnDTP)、リン酸亜鉛、ジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛、ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデン、ジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジスルフィド類、硫化オレフィン類、硫化油脂類、硫化エステル類、チオカーボネート類、チオカーバメート類、ポリサルファイド類等の硫黄含有化合物;亜リン酸エステル類、リン酸エステル類、ホスホン酸エステル類、及びこれらのアミン塩又は金属塩等のリン含有化合物;チオ亜リン酸エステル類、チオリン酸エステル類、チオホスホン酸エステル類、及びこれらのアミン塩又は金属塩等の硫黄及びリン含有耐摩耗剤が挙げられる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに耐摩耗剤を含有してもよい。耐摩耗剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる耐摩耗剤としては、例えば、ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛(ZnDTP)、リン酸亜鉛、ジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛、ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデン、ジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジスルフィド類、硫化オレフィン類、硫化油脂類、硫化エステル類、チオカーボネート類、チオカーバメート類、ポリサルファイド類等の硫黄含有化合物;亜リン酸エステル類、リン酸エステル類、ホスホン酸エステル類、及びこれらのアミン塩又は金属塩等のリン含有化合物;チオ亜リン酸エステル類、チオリン酸エステル類、チオホスホン酸エステル類、及びこれらのアミン塩又は金属塩等の硫黄及びリン含有耐摩耗剤が挙げられる。
[防錆剤]
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに防錆剤を含有してもよい。防錆剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる防錆剤としては、例えば、脂肪酸、アルケニルコハク酸ハーフエステル、脂肪酸セッケン、アルキルスルホン酸塩、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステル、脂肪酸アミン、酸化パラフィン、アルキルポリオキシエチレンエーテル等が挙げられる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに防錆剤を含有してもよい。防錆剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる防錆剤としては、例えば、脂肪酸、アルケニルコハク酸ハーフエステル、脂肪酸セッケン、アルキルスルホン酸塩、多価アルコール脂肪酸エステル、脂肪酸アミン、酸化パラフィン、アルキルポリオキシエチレンエーテル等が挙げられる。
[消泡剤]
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに消泡剤を含有してもよい。消泡剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる消泡剤としては、例えば、アルキルシリコーン系消泡剤、フルオロシリコーン系消泡剤、フルオロアルキルエーテル系消泡剤等が挙げられる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに消泡剤を含有してもよい。消泡剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる消泡剤としては、例えば、アルキルシリコーン系消泡剤、フルオロシリコーン系消泡剤、フルオロアルキルエーテル系消泡剤等が挙げられる。
[極圧添加剤]
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに極圧添加剤を含有してもよい。極圧添加剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる極圧添加剤としては、例えば、塩素化パラフィン、塩素化脂肪酸、塩素化脂肪油等の塩素系極圧添加剤;硫化オレフィン、硫化ラード、アルキルポリサルファイド、硫化脂肪酸等の硫黄系極圧添加剤;リン酸エステル、亜リン酸エステル、チオリン酸エステル、及びこれらの塩、ホスフィン系、リン酸トリクレジル等のリン系極圧添加剤;等が挙げられる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物は、さらに極圧添加剤を含有してもよい。極圧添加剤は、単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を併用してもよい。
本発明の一態様で用いる極圧添加剤としては、例えば、塩素化パラフィン、塩素化脂肪酸、塩素化脂肪油等の塩素系極圧添加剤;硫化オレフィン、硫化ラード、アルキルポリサルファイド、硫化脂肪酸等の硫黄系極圧添加剤;リン酸エステル、亜リン酸エステル、チオリン酸エステル、及びこれらの塩、ホスフィン系、リン酸トリクレジル等のリン系極圧添加剤;等が挙げられる。
<潤滑油組成物の製造方法>
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の製造方法としては、基油(A)、固体粒子(B)及び分散剤(C)を含有する組成物を、10,000rpm以上で攪拌する工程を含むことが好ましい。当該工程により、固体粒子(B)を潤滑油組成物中に均一に分散させることができる。当該工程において、攪拌速度は、12,000rpm以上、15,000rpm以上、17,000rpm以上、又は20,000rpm以上であってもよい。
また、本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の製造方法は、上記で述べた成分(A)~(C)に加え、必要に応じて、他の各種添加剤を配合する工程を含むことが好ましい。各成分の配合の順序は適宜設定することができる。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の製造方法としては、基油(A)、固体粒子(B)及び分散剤(C)を含有する組成物を、10,000rpm以上で攪拌する工程を含むことが好ましい。当該工程により、固体粒子(B)を潤滑油組成物中に均一に分散させることができる。当該工程において、攪拌速度は、12,000rpm以上、15,000rpm以上、17,000rpm以上、又は20,000rpm以上であってもよい。
また、本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の製造方法は、上記で述べた成分(A)~(C)に加え、必要に応じて、他の各種添加剤を配合する工程を含むことが好ましい。各成分の配合の順序は適宜設定することができる。
〔潤滑油組成物の性状〕
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の100℃における動粘度は、好ましくは0.8mm2/s以上、より好ましくは1.0mm2/s以上、更に好ましくは1.2mm2/s以上であり、また、好ましくは4.0mm2/s以下、より好ましくは3.5mm2/s以下、更に好ましくは3.0mm2/s以下である。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の100℃における動粘度は、好ましくは0.8mm2/s以上、より好ましくは1.0mm2/s以上、更に好ましくは1.2mm2/s以上であり、また、好ましくは4.0mm2/s以下、より好ましくは3.5mm2/s以下、更に好ましくは3.0mm2/s以下である。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の体積抵抗率は、好ましくは1.0×108Ω・m以上、より好ましくは1.3×108Ω・m以上、更に好ましくは1.5×108Ω・m以上、より更に好ましくは2.0×108Ω・m以上、特に好ましくは2.1×108Ω・m以上である。
本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物の冷却性は、好ましくは20.0℃/sec以上、より好ましくは22.0℃/sec以上、更に好ましくは23.0℃/sec以上、特に好ましくは25.0℃/sec以上である。なお、本明細書中、冷却性は、JIS K2242に準拠し、200℃に加温した銀棒を30℃に制御したオイルに油没させた際の、油没開始から12秒間の最大冷却速度(℃/sec)の値を意味する。
〔潤滑油組成物の用途〕
本発明の潤滑油組成物は、優れた冷却性及び絶縁性を有している。そのため、本発明の潤滑油組成物は、電気機器の冷却に好適に使用し得る。電気機器としては、例えば、モーター、バッテリー、インバータ、及びエンジン等が挙げられる。
そのため、本発明は、下記[I]の冷却装置、及び、下記[II]の潤滑油組成物の使用方法も提供する。
[I]上述の本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物を充填してなる、電気機器を冷却するための冷却装置。
[II]上述の本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物を電気機器の冷却に適用する、潤滑油組成物の使用方法。
本発明の潤滑油組成物は、優れた冷却性及び絶縁性を有している。そのため、本発明の潤滑油組成物は、電気機器の冷却に好適に使用し得る。電気機器としては、例えば、モーター、バッテリー、インバータ、及びエンジン等が挙げられる。
そのため、本発明は、下記[I]の冷却装置、及び、下記[II]の潤滑油組成物の使用方法も提供する。
[I]上述の本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物を充填してなる、電気機器を冷却するための冷却装置。
[II]上述の本発明の一態様の潤滑油組成物を電気機器の冷却に適用する、潤滑油組成物の使用方法。
次に、本発明を実施例により更に詳細に説明するが、本発明はこれらの例によって何ら限定されるものではない。なお、実施例、比較例及び参考例で用いた各成分及び得られた潤滑油組成物の各種物性値は、下記の方法に準拠して測定した。
<動粘度、粘度指数>
JIS K2283:2000に準拠して測定及び算出する。
<冷却性>
JIS K2242に準拠し、200℃に加温した銀棒を30℃に制御したオイルに油没させた際の、油没開始から12秒間の最大冷却速度(℃/sec)を測定した。
<体積抵抗率>
JIS C2101に準拠し、測定温度80℃、印加電圧250Vの条件下で測定した
JIS K2283:2000に準拠して測定及び算出する。
<冷却性>
JIS K2242に準拠し、200℃に加温した銀棒を30℃に制御したオイルに油没させた際の、油没開始から12秒間の最大冷却速度(℃/sec)を測定した。
<体積抵抗率>
JIS C2101に準拠し、測定温度80℃、印加電圧250Vの条件下で測定した
実施例1~5、比較例1~3
表1に示す成分(A)~(C)を、表1に示す配合量にて添加して混合し、ホモジナイザーを用いて20,000rpmで5分間の攪拌を行い、潤滑油組成物をそれぞれ調製した。調製した潤滑油組成物は、実質的に水を含まないものである。当該潤滑油組成物の調製に使用した、各成分の詳細は以下のとおりである。
表1に示す成分(A)~(C)を、表1に示す配合量にて添加して混合し、ホモジナイザーを用いて20,000rpmで5分間の攪拌を行い、潤滑油組成物をそれぞれ調製した。調製した潤滑油組成物は、実質的に水を含まないものである。当該潤滑油組成物の調製に使用した、各成分の詳細は以下のとおりである。
<基油(A)>
・鉱油:40℃動粘度=8.2mm2/s、粘度指数=103のAPI基油カテゴリーのグループIIに分類される鉱油、体積抵抗率=18×1012Ω・m。
<固体粒子(B)>
・SiO2:平均一次粒子径=10nm、シリコーンオイルで表面処理されたシリカ粒子。
<分散剤(C)>
・コハク酸イミド(非ホウ素変性のアルケニルコハク酸ビスイミド、窒素原子の含有量=1.80質量%)
・ビニルピロリドン(VP)/ヘキサデセンコポリマー
・鉱油:40℃動粘度=8.2mm2/s、粘度指数=103のAPI基油カテゴリーのグループIIに分類される鉱油、体積抵抗率=18×1012Ω・m。
<固体粒子(B)>
・SiO2:平均一次粒子径=10nm、シリコーンオイルで表面処理されたシリカ粒子。
<分散剤(C)>
・コハク酸イミド(非ホウ素変性のアルケニルコハク酸ビスイミド、窒素原子の含有量=1.80質量%)
・ビニルピロリドン(VP)/ヘキサデセンコポリマー
実施例及び比較例で調製した潤滑油組成物について、上述の測定方法に準拠して、各種物性値を測定及び算出した。これらの結果を表1に示す。なお、表1において、「分散性」は、調製した各サンプルを1週間静置した後の沈殿の有無を目視で確認し、沈殿が確認されなかったものを「A」、沈殿が確認されたものを「F」と評価した。また、上述の測定方法に準拠して測定及び算出する実施例の潤滑油組成物の40℃動粘度は20mm2/s以下であり、粘度指数は70以上である。
表1から、基油(A)を含み、固体粒子(B)及び分散剤(C)の含有量が所定の数値範囲である実施例1~5の潤滑油組成物は、比較例1~3に比して、優れた冷却性と絶縁性を有し、固体粒子(B)の分散性も良好であった。
Claims (15)
- 基油(A)と、平均一次粒子径が500nm以下の固体粒子(B)と、分散剤(C)とを含む潤滑油組成物であって、固体粒子(B)の含有量が、前記潤滑油組成物の全量基準で、0.1~30質量%であり、分散剤(C)の含有量が、前記潤滑油組成物の全量基準で、0.1~20質量%である、潤滑油組成物。
- 固体粒子(B)と、分散剤(C)との含有量比〔(B)/(C)〕が、質量比で、0.05以上3未満である、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 固体粒子(B)の平均一次粒子径が、100nm以下である、請求項1または2に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 固体粒子(B)が、SiO2、Al2O3、AlN、TiO2、ZrO2、Y2O3、WO3、Ta2O5、V2O5、Nb2O5、CeO2、B4C、Al2TiO5、BN、MoSi2、SiC、Si3N4、TiC、TiN、ZrB2、CaO、SrO、BaO、粘土鉱物、およびこれらの混合物、ならびに、熱的に安定なこれらの炭酸塩または硫酸塩からなる群から選択される、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 基油(A)が、少なくとも鉱油(A1)を含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 基油(A)の40℃における動粘度が、10mm2/s以下である、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 基油(A)の体積抵抗率が、8.0×1010Ω・m以上である、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 実質的に水を含まない、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物の40℃における動粘度が、20mm2/s以下である、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物の体積抵抗率が、1.0×108Ω・m以上である、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 電気機器の冷却に用いられる、請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記電気機器が、モーター、バッテリー、インバータ、およびエンジンである、請求項11に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物を充填してなる、電気機器を冷却するための冷却装置。
- 請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物を、電気機器の冷却に適用する、潤滑油組成物の使用方法。
- 請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の潤滑油組成物を製造する方法であって、10,000rpm以上で攪拌する工程を含む、潤滑油組成物の製造方法。
