Description

電子部品包装用カバーテープおよび電子部品包装体
 本発明は、電子部品包装用カバーテープおよび電子部品包装体に関する。
 電子部品を運搬、保管等する際に、しばしば、キャリアテープおよびカバーテープが用いられる。
 具体的には、まず、キャリアテープに形成された凹部に、電子部品(半導体チップ等)を入れ、その後、キャリアテープの上面にカバーテープをヒートシールして電子部品を封入する。このようにして得られた、電子部品が封入されたキャリアテープ-カバーテープ複合体を、リールに巻き取って運搬/保管する。
 電子部品包装用のカバーテープの先行技術としては、例えば、以下の特許文献1~3などがある。

 カバーテープの包装対象となる電子部品には、様々な大きさのものがある。
 近年の電子部品の小型化の流れの中で、例えば1005(1.0mm×0.5mm)サイズ以下、具体的には0603(0.6mm×0.3mm)サイズ以下、より具体的には0402(0.4mm×0.2mm)サイズ以下の小型の電子部品を、カバーテープを用いて包装することが考えられる。
 しかし、本発明者らの知見の限り、小型の電子部品の包装に適したカバーテープの開発は、これまで十分に行われてきていなかった。つまり、小型の電子部品の包装に適したカバーテープについて改良の余地があった。
 本発明はこのような事情に鑑みてなされたものである。本発明の目的の1つは、小型の電子部品の包装に適したカバーテープを提供することである。
 本発明者らは、以下に提供される発明を完成させ、上記課題を解決した。
 本発明によれば、

 JIS K 6734に従い測定される破断強度が10N以上である、電子部品包装用カバーテープ
が提供される。
 また、本発明によれば、

が提供される。
 本発明によれば、小型の電子部品の包装に適した電子部品包装用カバーテープが提供される。
本実施形態のカバーテープ(電子部品包装用カバーテープ)の一例を、模式的に表した図である。 電子部品包装用カバーテープをキャリアテープに接着(ヒートシール)した状態の一例を示す図である。 カバーテープの「浮き上がり量」を説明するための図である。
 以下、本発明の実施形態について、図面を参照しつつ、詳細に説明する。
 すべての図面において、同様な構成要素には同様の符号を付し、適宜説明を省略する。
 煩雑さを避けるため、(i)同一図面内に同一の構成要素が複数ある場合には、その1つのみに符号を付し、全てには符号を付さない場合や、(ii)特に図2以降において、図1と同様の構成要素に改めては符号を付さない場合がある。
 すべての図面はあくまで説明用のものである。図面中の各部材の形状や寸法比などは、必ずしも現実の物品と対応しない。
 本明細書中、数値範囲の説明における「X~Y」との表記は、特に断らない限り、X以上Y以下のことを表す。例えば、「1~5質量%」とは「1質量%以上5質量%以下」を意味する。
<カバーテープ>
 図1は、本実施形態の電子部品包装用カバーテープ(単に「カバーテープ」とも表記する)の一例を、模式的に表したものである。
 カバーテープは、好ましくは、基材層1と、その基材層1の片面側に存在するシーラント層3とを備える。また、カバーテープは、基材層1とシーラント層3との間に、中間層2を備えることができる。図1にはこの中間層2が明示されている。
 シーラント層3は、通常、カバーテープの最表面に存在する。
 シーラント層3は、通常、基材層1の片面側に全面的に設けられている。換言すると、シーラント層3は、通常、基材層1の片面側に、基材層1と略同じ幅と長さで、切れ目や分断なく存在している。
 通常、カバーテープのシーラント層3がキャリアテープと接着される。換言すると、通常、図1に示されたカバーテープにおける下面側がキャリアテープと接着される。
 カバーテープは、長尺状である。
 カバーテープの幅(図1中に記号Wで記載)は、3mm以下、好ましくは2.4~3mm、より好ましくは2.5~3mmである。
 また、カバーテープの、JIS K 6734に従い測定される破断強度は、10N以上、好ましくは10~30N、より好ましくは12~25Nである。
 幅が3mm以下であることにより、本実施形態のカバーテープは、小型の電子部品を収容するための狭幅のキャリアテープに接着しやすいものとなっている。
 一方、カバーテープの幅が小さい場合、電子部品の使用時にキャリアテープからカバーテープを剥がす際に、カバーテープが破断してしまう可能性がある。この可能性を低くするため、本実施形態においては、JIS K 6734に従い測定される破断強度が10N以上となるようにカバーテープを設計している。
 以上、本実施形態のカバーテープは、小型の電子部品の包装に適したものとなっている。
 念のため補足しておくと、JIS K 6734に従い測定される破断強度は、通常、測定対象のテープの「単位断面積あたり」の強度である。しかし、本実施形態においては、カバーテープそのものの破断しにくさに関係する指標として、単位断面積あたりではなくカバーテープそのものの破断強度が10N以上であることを特定した。
 ちなみに、JIS K 6734に従い測定される破断強度が10N以上とするためには、カバーテープを構成する素材や層構成を適切に選択することが好ましい。詳細は以下で説明していくが、例えば基材層や中間層の素材として適切な素材を選択することや、これら層の厚みを適切に調整することが挙げられる。
 本実施形態のカバーテープに関する説明を続ける。
[基材層1]
 基材層1を構成する材料は特に限定されない。典型的には、カバーテープを作製するとき、キャリアテープに対してカバーテープを接着するとき、実装工程にてカバーテープを剥離するとき、外力が加わったとき等に十分に耐えうる程度の機械的強度がある材料が好ましい。また、キャリアテープにカバーテープを接着する際の熱に耐えうる程度の耐熱性を有する材料が好ましい。
 基材層1を構成する材料の形態は、加工の容易性の点で、フィルム状であることが好ましい。
 基材層1を構成する材料の具体例としては、ポリエステル樹脂、ナイロン樹脂、ポリオレフィン樹脂、ポリアクリレート樹脂、ポリメタアクリレート樹脂、ポリイミド樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、ABS樹脂等が挙げられる。
 ポリエステル樹脂の具体例としては、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)などを挙げることができる。中でも、ポリエチレンテレフタレートが、コストや強度のバランスの点で好ましい。
 ナイロン樹脂の具体例としては、ナイロン6、ナイロン66などを挙げることができる。
 ポリオレフィン樹脂の具体例としては、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレンなどを挙げることができる。
 破断強度を高めたり、破断しにくくしたりする観点から、基材層は、ナイロン樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂およびポリプロピレン樹脂からなる群より選ばれる少なくともいずれかを含むことが好ましい。とりわけ、基材層は、ナイロン樹脂を含むことが好ましい。後掲の実施例で示されるように、基材層がナイロン樹脂を含むことにより、特に破断を抑えることができる。
 基材層1は、1層のみであってもよいし、2層以上あってもよい。例えば、基材層1は、上述した材料が積層された多層フィルムにより形成されてもよい。
 好ましい例として、基材層は、ナイロン樹脂を含む層と、ポリエステル樹脂を含む層と、の少なくとも2層を含む。この際、ポリエステル樹脂を含む層がカバーテープの最外層となるようにすることが好ましい。
 ポリエステル樹脂を用いることで、破断強度や耐熱性を高めることができる。ポリエステル樹脂はカバーテープの剥離時の外力やシールコテの熱に強いので、最外層に好適である。
 ナイロン樹脂は、ポリエステル樹脂ほど耐熱性は高くなく、適度な柔軟性を有しており、さらに破断強度は高い。このため、シールコテからの熱や圧力を適度に中間層やシーラント層に伝えることができる。このことは、より短い加熱時間でカバーテープをキャリアテープに接着することができることを意味する。また、ナイロン樹脂は剥離時の外力にも強い。
 耐熱性が特に高いポリエステル樹脂と、シールコテからの熱や圧力を適度に中間層やシーラント層に伝えることができるナイロン樹脂とを組み合わせることで、熱による変形を抑えつつ、より短い加熱時間でカバーテープをキャリアテープに接着することができる。このことは、熱によるキャリアテープのポケット変形が実装不具合につながりやすい小型の電子部品の包装において好ましい特性である。
 別の好ましい例として、基材層は、密度が異なるポリエチレン樹脂が積層されたものであることができる。具体的には、基材層は、(i)高密度ポリエチレンを含む層と、(ii)直鎖上低密度ポリエチレンおよび/または低密度ポリエチレンを含む層と、の2層以上が積層されたものであることが好ましい。基材層を、密度が異なるポリエチレン樹脂が積層されたものとすることによって、フィルムの剛性を調整し、ラミネート時の加工性を制御できる場合がある。
 基材層1は、滑材などの添加剤を含んでもよいし、含まなくてもよい。
 基材層1を形成するために用いられるフィルムは、未延伸フィルムであってもよいし、一軸方向又は二軸方向に延伸されたフィルムであってもよい。カバーテープの機械的強度を一層向上させる観点からは、一軸方向又は二軸方向に延伸されたフィルムであることが好ましい。
 基材層1の厚さは特に限定されない。基材層1の厚さは、好ましくは3μm以上であり、より好ましくは5μm以上である。また、基材層1の厚さは、好ましくは30μm以下であり、より好ましくは25μm以下である。
 基材層1の厚さが30μm以下であることで、カバーテープの剛性が高くなりすぎない。これにより、シール後のキャリアテープに対して捻り応力がかかった場合でも、カバーテープがキャリアテープの変形に追従しやすい。よって、カバーテープがキャリアテープから意図せず剥離してしまうことを抑制することができる。
 基材層1の厚さが3μm以上であることで、カバーテープの機械的強度を十分良好なものとすることができる。よって、例えばキャリアテープからカバーテープを高速で剥離する場合でも、カバーテープが破断してしまうことを抑制することができる。
[中間層2]
 カバーテープが中間層2を有することで、カバーテープのクッション性、耐衝撃性などを高めうる。
 中間層2を形成する材料としては、オレフィン系樹脂、スチレン系樹脂、環状オレフィン系樹脂等が挙げられる。中でも、カバーテープ全体のクッション性を向上させる観点から、オレフィン系樹脂が好ましい。
 オレフィン系樹脂としては、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等が挙げられ、ポリエチレンが好ましい。特にクッション性の点からは、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)または直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン(L-LDPE)がより好ましい。
 本実施形態においては、中間層2は、特に、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンを含むことが好ましい。詳細は不明であるが、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンの適度なクッション性が、幅が3mm以下である本実施形態のカバーテープにマッチしている可能性がある。ここで、「直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン」と称して市場に流通しているポリエチレンの密度を踏まえ、本明細書では、密度が0.880g/cm以上0.930g/cm未満である直鎖状ポリエチレンを直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンとする。
 中間層2は、(i)直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンのみで構成されていてもよいし、(ii)直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンと、低密度ポリエチレンや高密度ポリエチレンなどのその他のポリエチレンとで構成されていてもよい。(ii)についてより具体的には、(ii-1)中間層2が、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンで構成された層とその他のポリエチレンで構成された層とを備える複層構成である態様、(ii-2)中間層2が、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンとその他のポリエチレンとの混合物で構成された層とを備える態様(単層または複層)などの態様を挙げることができる。
 中間層2の構成を工夫することにより、カバーテープ製造時の「カール」を抑えたり、カバーテープの強度を制御できたりする場合がある。
 別観点として、中間層2として、加熱したときの寸法変化率が小さいものを用いることで、カバーテープがキャリアテープから「浮き上がる」ことを抑制することができる。その結果、浮き上がった部分に極小部品が入り込むことが抑えられる。具体的には、中間層が以下で説明される特性を有することにより、カバーテープを、より一層、小型の電子部品の包装に適したものとすることができる。
 中間層の、23℃における寸法をTとし、80℃で2時間加熱した後の寸法をTとしたとき、以下の式(1)で表される、中間層の流れ方向(MD方向)の寸法変化率が例えば-4~4%、好ましくは-3~3%であり、幅方向(TD方向)の寸法変化率が例えば0~2%、好ましくは0.1~1%である。

 中間層2は、1層のみであってもよいし、2層以上あってもよい。例えば、中間層2は、上述した材料が積層された多層フィルムにより形成されてもよい。
 中間層2は、各種の添加剤を含んでもよいし、含まなくてもよい。
 中間層を設ける場合、その厚さは、カバーテープ全体のクッション性を向上させる観点から、好ましくは10~55μmであり、より好ましくは15~50μmであり、さらに好ましくは20~45μmである。
[シーラント層3]
 シーラント層3を構成する材料は特に限定されない。シーラント層3は、熱を加えることによりキャリアテープと接着可能な材料で構成されていればよい。
 シーラント層3を構成するための材料の具体例としては、(メタ)アクリル系樹脂、スチレン系樹脂、オレフィン系樹脂、ウレタン系樹脂、エステル系樹脂、これらの共重合体などが挙げられる。中でも、キャリアテープへの良好なヒートシール性が得られる観点から、スチレン系樹脂、(メタ)アクリル系樹脂およびエステル系樹脂のいずれかを少なくとも1種以上含むことが好ましい。特に本実施形態においては、スチレン系樹脂と(メタ)アクリル系樹脂との併用が好ましい。
 シーラント層3は、シーラント層3の表面抵抗値を低下させて剥離に伴う静電気の発生を抑制し、シール性を保持する観点から、さらに帯電防止剤を含むことができる。シーラント層3においては、好ましくは、樹脂中に帯電防止剤が溶解または分散している。
 帯電防止剤としては、例えば(i)粒子状の金属含有物質や(ii)導電性高分子などを挙げることができる。帯電防止剤の具体例としては、アンチモンドープ酸化錫、リンドープ酸化錫、フッ素ドープ酸化錫などの金属酸化物粒子、導電性高分子、カーボンナノチューブ等が挙げられる。樹脂との良好な相溶性などから、帯電防止剤は、アンチモンドープ酸化錫(ATO)、リンドープ酸化錫、フッ素ドープ酸化錫および導電性高分子からなる群のうち1種以上を含むことが好ましい。
 導電性高分子としては、好ましくはポリチオフェンやポリチオフェン誘導体を挙げることができる。より具体的には、ポリチオフェン、ポリ(3,4)-エチレンジオキシチオフェン、ポリ(3-チオフェン-β-エタンスルホン酸)などが挙げられる。この中でも、さらに良好な帯電防止性とシール性を保持する観点から、ポリ3,4-エチレンジオキシチオフェン又はその誘導体が好ましい。
 シーラント層3は、その他添加剤として、帯電防止剤の分散性を良好とするための分散剤、シリカゾル、レベリング剤、導電助剤等を含んでもよい。
 シーラント層3の厚さは、シール作業と剥離作業とを好適に行う観点から、0.02~20μmが好ましく、0.03~15μmがより好ましい。
[その他の層]
 カバーテープは、基材層1、中間層2およびシーラント層3以外の追加の層を備えてもよい。
 追加の層としては、例えば、2つの層を接着する接着層を挙げることができる。
[全体厚み]
 カバーテープの厚さは、フィルム強度担保とハンドリング性のバランスの観点から、25~80μmであることが好ましく、35~70μmであることがより好ましい。
<電子部品包装体/包装対象の電子部品>
 上述のカバーテープと、電子部品が凹部に収容されたキャリアテープとから、電子部品包装体を得ることができる。これについて図2を参照しつつ説明する。
 図2において、カバーテープ10は、電子部品の形状に合わせて凹状のポケット21が連続的に設けられた帯状のキャリアテープ20の蓋材として用いられている。
 具体的には、カバーテープ10は、キャリアテープ20のポケット21の開口部全面を覆うように、キャリアテープ20の表面に接着(通常、ヒートシール)される。なお、以降、カバーテープ10と、キャリアテープ20と、を接着して得られた構造体のことを、電子部品包装体100と称する。
 電子部品包装体100は、例えば、以下の手順で作製することができる。
 まず、キャリアテープ20のポケット21内に電子部品を収容する。
 次いで、キャリアテープ20のポケット21の開口部全面を覆うように、キャリアテープ20の表面にカバーテープ10をヒートシール法により接着する。この際、カバーテープ10におけるシーラント層3がキャリアテープ20と接するようにする(つまり、図2におけるカバーテープ10の「裏面」がシーラント層3となるようにしてヒートシールを行う)。こうすることで、電子部品が密封収容された構造体(電子部品包装体100)が得られる。
 ヒートシールの具体的なやり方や条件は、カバーテープ10がキャリアテープ20に十分強く接着する限り特に限定されない。典型的には、公知のテーピングマシンを用い、温度100~240℃、荷重0.1~10kgf、時間0.0001~1秒の範囲内で行うことができる。
 キャリアテープ20の素材は、ヒートシールによりカバーテープ10を接着可能である限り特に限定されない。通常は樹脂製または紙製であり、好ましくは樹脂製である。
 一例として、キャリアテープ20は、ポリスチレン樹脂を含む材料、ポリカーボネート樹脂を含む材料、ポリエチレンテレフタレート樹脂を含む材料などで構成される。
 電子部品包装体100は、例えば、リールに巻かれ、その後、電子部品を電子回路基板等に実装する作業領域まで搬送される。リールの素材は、金属製、紙製、プラスチック製などであることができる。
 電子部品包装体100が作業領域まで搬送された後、カバーテープ10をキャリアテープ20から剥離し、収容された電子部品を取り出す。
 既に述べたように、本実施形態においては、電子部品包装体100内には小型の電子部品が包装されることが好ましい。換言すると、上述のカバーテープは、特に小型の電子部品の包装に適したものである。
 電子部品のサイズについて具体的に記載すると、例えば1005(1.0mm×0.5mm)サイズ以下、好ましくは0603(0.6mm×0.3mm)サイズ以下、より好ましくは0402(0.4mm×0.2mm)サイズ以下である。
 電子部品の種類は特に限定されない。半導体チップ、トランジスタ、ダイオード、コンデンサ、圧電素子、光学素子、LED関連部材、コネクタ、電極など、電気・電子機器の製造に用いられる部品全般を挙げることができる。
 以上、本発明の実施形態について述べたが、これらは本発明の例示であり、上記以外の様々な構成を採用することができる。また、本発明は上述の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の目的を達成できる範囲での変形、改良等は本発明に含まれる。
 本発明の実施態様を、実施例および比較例に基づき詳細に説明する。念のため述べておくと、本発明は実施例のみに限定されない。
 まず、シーラント層の形成に用いた素材を記載しておく。
(A)スチレン系樹脂
 スチレン-ブタジエン共重合体:旭化成社製、「タフテックH1517」(スチレン含有率(PS比率):43%、MFR(230℃、2.16kg):3g/10分)
(B)ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸誘導体
 大日本インキ社製「A450A」
(C-1)帯電防止剤
 アンチモンドープ酸化錫(三菱マテリアル社製「T-1」)
<実施例1>
 実施例1では、PETフィルムとナイロンフィルムの2層構成の基材層と、中間層と、シーラント層と、を備えるカバーテープを製造した。具体的な製造手順は以下のとおりである。
 まず、厚さ12μmの二軸延伸ポリエステルフィルム(東洋紡株式会社、商品名:T6140)を準備した。この片面に、ラミネート剤(三井化学株式会社、タケラック A-520)を塗り、厚さ12μmの二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム(コーロン社、商品名:NT02)をドライラミネート法により積層した。このようにして2層構成の基材層を得た。
 次に、基材層の二軸延伸ナイロンフィルムの側にラミネート剤(三井化学株式会社製、タケラック A-520)を塗り、厚さ30μmのポリエチレンフィルム(タマポリ株式会社製、商品名:SE605M)をドライラミネート法により積層し、中間層を形成した。
 その後、中間層側の露出面上に、アンチモンドープ酸化錫を含む塗布液をグラビアコーティング法により塗布した。塗布液としては、60質量%の(C-1)帯電防止剤、24質量%の(B)ポリ(メタ)アクリル酸誘導体および16質量%の(A)スチレン系樹脂を均一に混合したものを用いた。これにより厚み0.5μmのシーラント層を形成した。このようにして、基材層、中間層およびシーラント層を備える積層体を得た。
 得られた積層体を幅2.6mmに切断し、長尺状のカバーテープを得た。
<実施例2>
 厚さ12μmの二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム(コーロン社、商品名:NT02)の代わりに、厚さ15μmの二軸延伸ナイロンフィルム(東洋紡株式会社、商品名:N1202)を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてカバーテープを得た。
<実施例3>
 厚さ30μmのポリエチレンフィルム(タマポリ株式会社製、商品名:SE605M)の代わりに、厚さ25μmのポリエチレンフィルム(和光株式会社:LM-015)を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてカバーテープを得た。
<実施例4>
 厚さ30μmのポリエチレンフィルム(タマポリ株式会社製、商品名:SE605M)の代わりに、厚さ40μmのポリエチレンフィルム(タマポリ株式会社製、商品名:SE605M)を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてカバーテープを得た。
<実施例5>
 厚さ30μmのポリエチレンフィルム(タマポリ株式会社製、商品名:SE605M)の代わりに、厚み30μmの積層ポリエチレンフィルムを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にしてカバーテープを得た。
 ここで用いた積層フィルムは、直鎖状低密度ポリエチレン/高密度ポリエチレン/直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンの層構成であり、各層の厚みが10μm、総厚みが30μmであった。直鎖状低密度ポリエチレンは宇部丸善ポリエチレン株式会社:ユメリット0540F、高密度ポリエチレンは日本ポリエチレン株式会社:ノバテックHF111Kであった。また、ここで用いた積層フィルムは、共押出インフレーション成形機を用いて押出温度200℃で積層押出することにより製造された。
<実施例6>
 基材層を、厚さ20μmの二軸延伸ポリブチレンテレフタレート(興人フィルム&ケミカルズ株式会社製、ボブレットST)の単層とした以外は、実施例1と同様にしてカバーテープを得た。
<実施例7>
 基材層を、厚さ25μmの二軸延伸ポリエチレンテレフタレート(フタムラ化学株式会社、FE2301)の単層とした以外は、実施例1と同様にしてカバーテープを得た。
<比較例1>
 基材層を、厚さ12μmの二軸延伸ポリエチレンテレフタレート(東洋紡株式会社、商品名:T6140)の単層とした以外は、実施例1と同様にしてカバーテープを得た。
<比較例2>
 基材層を、厚さ16μmの二軸延伸ポリエチレンテレフタレート(東洋紡株式会社、商品名:E7415)の単層とした以外は、実施例1と同様にしてカバーテープを得た。
<破断強度の測定>
 JIS K 6734に準拠し、各実施例および比較例のカバーテープの破断強度を測定した。測定については、株式会社島津製作所のオートグラフを用いて、2.6mm幅にスリットしたカバーテープについて、引張強度50mm/minの条件で引張試験を行った。そして、破断時の荷重を破断強度として求めた。
<中間層の寸法変化率の測定>
 上述の中間層であるポリエチレンフィルムを、23℃、相対湿度50%の環境下で400mm角に切り出した。この試験フィルムの寸法を、Tとした。試験フィルムを80℃に設定したオーブン中で2時間加熱した後、このフィルムを取り出し、それぞれ流れ方向および幅方向に該当する方向の寸法を測定し、Tとした。各方向における寸法変化率を、以下の式(1)に従って算出した。
  寸法変化率(%)=[(T-T)/T]×100  式(1)
<テープフィーダーを用いての破断評価>
 以下手順で評価した。
(1)テーピングマシンを用いて、4mm幅のポリスチレン樹脂製キャリアテープの表面に対して、得られた評価用カバーテープ(2.6mm幅)のシーラント層側のシール面を、170℃、4kgf、0.005秒の条件で熱シールし、帯状の包装体を作製した。
(2)テープフィーダー(パナソニック社製、製品名:インテリジェントテープフィーダー)を用いて、搬送速度(剥離速度):2400mm/min、剥離角度:約170°の条件で、キャリアテープから評価用カバーテープを連続的に剥離した。そして、剥離されたカバーテープが、テープフィーダー内の2つのギアの間に挟み込まれた際に、破断するか否かを評価した。後掲の表には、破断しなかった場合を良好、破断した場合を不良と記載した。
<カバーテープの浮き上がり評価>
(1)テーピングマシンを用いて、4mm幅のポリスチレン樹脂製キャリアテープの表面に対して、得られた評価用カバーテープ(2.6mm幅)のシーラント層側のシール面を、170℃、4kgf、0.005秒の条件で熱シールし、帯状の包装体を作製した。
(2)包装体を切断してマイクロスコープで断面観察し、カバーテープの浮き上がり量を測定した。浮き上がり量とは、図3におけるxの大きさのことである。
<剥離強度の評価>
(1)テーピングマシンを用いて、4mm幅のポリスチレン樹脂製キャリアテープの表面に対して、得られた評価用カバーテープ(2.6mm幅)のシーラント層側のシール面を、170℃、4kgf、0.005秒の条件で熱シールし、帯状の包装体を作製した。
(2)得られたサンプルを用いて、電子部品包装用カバーテープの上記ポリスチレン樹脂製キャリアテープに対する剥離強度(単位:gf)を測定した。剥離強度の測定は、剥離試験機(EPI社製 「PTS-5000」)を用いて、剥離速度300mm/min、剥離角度170°、測定温度25℃の条件で行った。
 上記の各結果をまとめて表1に示す。

 実施例1~7のカバーテープの、JIS K 6734に従い測定される破断強度は10N以上であった。そして、テープフィーダーを用いての破断評価において破断しなかった。つまり、実施例1~7のカバーテープは、狭幅であるにもかかわらず破断しにくいものであり、小型の電子部品の包装に適したものといえる。
 また、実施例1~7のカバーテープにおいては、「浮き上がり量」は比較的小さかった。これは、中間層の寸法変化率が比較的小さいことに起因していると考えられる。
 また、<剥離強度の評価>においては、実施例1~5のカバーテープはすべて30gf以上の数値を示し、実施例6および7のカバーテープよりも良好な剥離強度を示した。このことは、基材層の違いに起因していると考えられる。
 この出願は、2022年3月30日に出願された日本出願特願2022-055535号を基礎とする優先権を主張し、その開示の全てをここに取り込む。

Claims (10)

  1.  幅が3mm以下の長尺状であり、
     JIS K 6734に従い測定される破断強度が10N以上である、電子部品包装用カバーテープ。
  2.  請求項1に記載の電子部品包装用カバーテープであって、
     1005サイズ以下の電子部品の包装に用いられる、電子部品包装用カバーテープ。
  3.  請求項1または2に記載の電子部品包装用カバーテープであって、
     少なくとも、基材層と、中間層と、シーラント層と、をこの順に備える、電子部品包装用カバーテープ。
  4.  請求項3に記載の電子部品包装用カバーテープであって、
     前記基材層は、ナイロン樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂およびポリプロピレン樹脂からなる群より選ばれる少なくともいずれかを含む、電子部品包装用カバーテープ。
  5.  請求項3または4に記載の電子部品包装用カバーテープであって、
     前記基材層は、ナイロン樹脂を含む、電子部品包装用カバーテープ。
  6.  請求項3~5のいずれか1項に記載の電子部品包装用カバーテープであって、
     前記基材層は、ナイロン樹脂を含む層と、ポリエステル樹脂を含む層と、の少なくとも2層を含む、電子部品包装用カバーテープ。
  7.  請求項3~6のいずれか1項に記載の電子部品包装用カバーテープであって、
     前記中間層が、低密度ポリエチレンを含む、電子部品包装用カバーテープ。
  8.  請求項3~7のいずれか1項に記載の電子部品包装用カバーテープであって、
     前記中間層の、23℃における寸法をTとし、80℃で2時間加熱した後の寸法をTとしたとき、以下の式(1)で表される、前記中間層の流れ方向(MD方向)の寸法変化率が-4~4%であり、幅方向(TD方向)の寸法変化率が0~2%である、電子部品包装用カバーテープ。

  9.  電子部品が格納されたキャリアテープと、前記電子部品を封止するように前記キャリアテープに接着された請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の電子部品包装用カバーテープと、を備える電子部品包装体。
  10.  請求項9に記載の電子部品包装体であって、
     前記電子部品が、0402サイズ以下の電子部品である、電子部品包装体。
