Abstract
Description
まず、入力デバイスの例について説明する。図6A及び図6Bで例示する入力デバイス80は、ゲームプレイにおいて利用されるデバイスである。入力デバイス80は、図6Aで示すように、その上面に、例えば、左右の操作スティック81L・81R、複数の操作ボタン82、方向キー83などを有する。入力デバイス80は、タッチセンサを有し且つユーザによる押し操作を検知できるタッチパッド84を有してもよい。入力デバイス80は、その前側の右部と左部とに、操作ボタン88Aとトリガーボタン88Bとを有してもよい。また、入力デバイス80は、その右部と左部とに、後方に伸びているグリップ85を有してもよい。
図3Aで示すように、ケーブル90は、その端部にコネクタ91を有している。以下ではコネクタ91をケーブルコネクタと称する。図5Aで示すように、ケーブルコネクタ91は、樹脂によって形成される絶縁部91aと、絶縁部91aから前方に突出している端子部91bとを有している。端子部91bは、例えば、筒状のグランド端子と、グランド端子の内側に配置されている複数の信号端子とを含む。
アタッチメント装置1Aは、入力デバイス80に係合させるための係合部材30(図4参照)、ケーブルコネクタ91を保持するためのケーブルコネクタ保持部2(図3A参照)、及びユーザが係合部材30を操作するための操作部材40(図4参照)を有している。
ケーブルコネクタ保持部2は、図4で示すように、外ケース10と、外ケース10の内側に配置される内ケース20とを有してよい。外ケース10は、例えば下方に開いた箱形状であってよい。内ケース20は下方に開いたコネクタ収容室Aを有してよい。図3A及び図3Bで示すように、このコネクタ収容室Aにケーブルコネクタ91を配置できる。ケーブルコネクタ保持部2は、ケーブルコネクタ91への取り付け(すなわち、コネクタ収容室Aへのケーブルコネクタ91の配置)、及びケーブルコネクタ91からの取り外しが可能となっている。ケーブルコネクタ保持部2は、入力デバイス80に向いている面(前壁部13・23)、ケーブルコネクタ91の端子部91bを露出させる開口を有する。
図1で示すように、係合部材30は、入力デバイス80に係合するための係合部31を有している。係合部材30は、2つの係合部31を有している。2つの係合部31は、コネクタ91・86の嵌合方向(本明細書において前後方向)に対して直交する方向(本明細書において左右方向)において離れている。図5Aで示すように、2つの係合部31は、ケーブルコネクタ91を挟んで互いに反対側に位置している。すなわち、2つの係合部31は、コネクタ収容室Aを挟んで互いに反対側に位置している。2つの係合部31は、デバイスコネクタ86の右側と左側とに設けられている係合部87b(図5B参照)に、それぞれ係合する。後において詳説するように、2つの係合部31は板バネ状であり、左右方向における中心に向かって弾性変形可能である。
上述したように、アタッチメント装置1Aは、係合部材30を操作するための操作部材40を有している。図4で示すように、アタッチメント装置1Aは、左右の操作部材40を有してよい。操作部材40は、例えば、2つの係合部31の左右方向における外側にそれぞれ配置されてよい。すなわち、右側の操作部材40は右側の係合部31のさらに右側に配置されてよい。左側の操作部材40は左側の係合部31のさらに左側に配置されてよい。
上述したように、入力デバイス80の各嵌合凹部87aの内側に係合部87bが配置されている。係合部87bは、例えば、嵌合凹部87a、左右方向の外側の側面に、係合部87bを有している。すなわち、右側の嵌合凹部87aは、その内面における右側面に、係合部87bを有している。左側の嵌合凹部87aは、その内面における左側面に、係合部87bを有している。
内ケース20は、上述したように、コネクタ収容室Aを有している。内ケース20は、コネクタ収容室A内でのケーブルコネクタ91の位置を規定するストッパ部(位置決め部)を有してよい。
外ケース10の前壁部13は前面13bを有している。図1で示すように、前面13bは、入力デバイス80の表面(デバイスコネクタ86が設けられている面)に合わせて、傾斜したり、或いは湾曲していてよい。これによって、入力デバイス80に対するアタッチメント装置1Aの姿勢を規定できる。例えば、アタッチメント装置1Aの姿勢を上下方向において逆さにした状態で、アタッチメント装置1Aを入力デバイス80に取り付けることを防ぐことができる。
図3Aで示すように、カバー19は、その内面(カバー19を閉じた状態での上面)にクッション19dを有してよい。クッション19dによって、コネクタ収容室A内でのケーブルコネクタ91のがたつきを抑えることができる。
アタッチメント装置1Aを使ってケーブルコネクタ91を入力デバイス80に接続する手順は次の通りである。まず、コネクタ保持部2にケーブルコネクタ91を取り付ける。すなわち、コネクタ収容室Aにケーブルコネクタ91を嵌める。そして、カバー19を閉じる。次に、ケーブルコネクタ91を入力デバイス80のデバイスコネクタ86に接続する。そして、操作部材40を収容位置から突出位置に向けて前進させる。このとき、ユーザは左右の操作部43を指で挟み、係合部31を弾性変形させながら、左右の操作部材40及び係合部材30を前方に動かす。これにより、係合部31の先端部31aが入力デバイス80の嵌合凹部87aに嵌まる。ユーザが操作部材40に作用させている力を解除すると、係合部31は自身の弾性力によって元の位置に復帰し、これにより、係合部31と係合部87bとの係合が完了する。
以下では、本開示で提案するアタッチメント装置の第2の例を示す図である。図7~図12Bは、第2の例としてアタッチメント装置1Bを示している。以下では、アタッチメント装置1Bについて、アタッチメント装置1Aとの相違点を中心にして説明する。アタッチメント装置1Bについて説明のない事項は、アタッチメント装置1の構造が適用されてよい。
図9Bで示すように、係合部材130は、係合部材30と同様に、入力デバイス80の係合部87bに係合するための係合部(先端部)131aを有している。係合部87bは凸部であり(図12A参照)、係合部131aには係合部87bが嵌まる孔が形成されている。これとは異なり、係合部131aには係合部87bが嵌まる凹部が形成されてもよい。反対に、係合部131aが凸部であり、係合部87bが凹部や孔であってもよい。
図9Bで示すように、可動支持部材150は、左右の支持壁151を有している。また、可動支持部材150は、左右の支持壁151を連結する連結壁153を有している。左右の係合部材130は、係合姿勢と非係合姿勢との間での動きが許容されるように、左右の支持壁151によってそれぞれ支持されている。
図9Bで示すように、操作部材140は、左右の操作壁141を有している。操作壁141の外面には、係合部材130を係合姿勢と非係合姿勢とに動かすための操作押圧部141e・141fが形成されている。また、操作部材140は、左右の操作壁141を連結する連結壁142を有している。操作部材140は可動支持部材150の内側に配置され、可動支持部材150と支持部材130とともに、外ケース10と内ケース20との間の隙間に収容されている。
上述したように、操作部材140が収容操作位置にあるとき、係合部材130が非係合姿勢に配置されるように、操作部材140は係合部材130を押す。図10Aで示すように、係合部材130は被押圧部133aを有している。被押圧部133aは、軸部132a・132bよりも後方に位置している。一方、操作部材140は操作押圧部141eを有している。操作部材140が収容操作位置にあるとき、操作押圧部141eが被押圧部133aを押す(図10A参照)。そのため、左右の係合部材130は、その先端の係合部131aに向かって、それらの距離が徐々に小さくなるように配置される。
操作部材140と可動支持部材150は、係合操作位置と非係合操作位置との間でこれらが一体的に動くように、相互に係合している。例えば、図9Bで示すように、可動支持部材150の連結壁153の後部に、後係合凹部153eと前係合凹部153fとが形成されてよい。2つの係合凹部153e・153fの間には凸部が形成されている。一方、操作部材140の連結壁142は、後方に伸びている板バネ部142bを有している。この板バネ部142bには、可動支持部材150の連結壁153に向かって突出する操作凸部142cが形成されてよい。操作凸部142cは板バネ部142bの後端に形成されてよい。
操作部材140が非係合操作位置(図11)と係合操作位置(図12A)との間で移動するとき、操作部材140と係合部材130の相対位置は変化する。すなわち、非係合操作位置(図11)にある操作部材140が前進するとき、可動支持部材150の前方への移動は、コネクタ保持部2によって(具体的には、外ケース10の前壁部13によって)規制される。そのため、操作部材140は、可動支持部材150と係合部材130に対して相対的に前方に移動し、係合操作位置(図12A)に配置される。
図10Bで示すように、外ケース10と内ケース20との間には、ロック部材160が配置されている。ロック部材160は、操作部材140が係合操作位置に配置されたときに(図12B参照)、操作部材140と係合し、操作部材140の後方への移動を規制する。
図7で示すように、コネクタ保持部2は、その前面にクッション13cを有してよい。また、コネクタ保持部2は、その最前部に、可能に突出する支持部13dを有してよい。支持部13dの前面には、クッション13eが取り付けられてよい。そして、アタッチメント装置1Bが入力デバイス80に取り付けられたとき、これらクッション13c・13eが入力デバイス80の外面に接してよい。
以下では、アタッチメント装置1Bの操作手順について説明する。まず、ケーブルコネクタ91の入力デバイス80への接続作業における操作手順を説明する。
バネ170は、操作部材140を係合操作位置から後方に移動させるときに、操作部材140が途中の位置(すなわち、非係合操作位置)に止まってしまうことを防止する。
(1)以上説明したように、アタッチメント装置1A・1Bは、ケーブルコネクタ保持部2と、ケーブルコネクタ保持部2に設けられている係合部材30・130とを有している。係合部材30・130は、入力デバイス80に係合するための係合部31・131aを有している。係合部材30は、係合部31・131aがケーブルコネクタ保持部2から突出する突出位置と、係合部31・131aがケーブルコネクタ保持部2に収容されている収容位置との間で移動可能である。
なお、本開示で提案するアタッチメント装置は、以上説明したアタッチメント装置1A・1Bに限定されず、種々の変更がなされてよい。
Claims (13)
- ケーブルの端部に設けられ前記ケーブルと入力デバイスとの接続を確立するケーブルコネクタに、取り付け可能なアタッチメント装置であって、
前記ケーブルコネクタへの取り付け及び前記ケーブルコネクタからの取り外しが可能なコネクタ保持部と、
前記コネクタ保持部に設けられている係合部材と
を有し、
前記係合部材は、前記入力デバイスに係合するための少なくとも1つの第1係合部を有し、
前記係合部材は、前記少なくとも1つの係合部が前記コネクタ保持部から突出する突出位置と、前記少なくとも1つの係合部が前記コネクタ保持部に収容されている収容位置との間で移動可能である
アタッチメント装置。 - 操作部材を更に備え、
前記係合部材は、前記突出位置にあるとき、前記係合部が前記入力デバイスに係合する係合姿勢と、前記係合部と前記入力デバイスとが係合しない非係合姿勢との間で動くことができ、
前記操作部材は、前記係合部材を前記係合姿勢に配置する係合操作位置と、前記係合部材を前記非係合姿勢に配置する非係合操作位置との間で前記係合部材に対して相対的に動くことができる
請求項1に記載されるアタッチメント装置。 - 前記操作部材は、前記非係合操作位置にあるとき前記係合部材の第1の部分を押して前記係合部材を前記非係合姿勢に配置し、前記係合操作位置にあるとき前記係合部材の第2の部分を押して前記係合部材を前記係合姿勢に配置する
請求項2に記載されるアタッチメント装置。 - 前記係合部材は、前記ケーブルコネクタと前記入力デバイスのコネクタとが嵌合する方向である第1の方向に対して直交する第2の方向において前記係合部が動くように支持され、
