Abstract
Description
例えば、特許文献1には、燃料電池から排出される未反応燃料に含まれる汚染物や、燃料電池の冷却システムに使用する冷却剤流体に含まれる不純物を除去するために、4級アンモニウム塩基を有する樹脂を含むイオン交換フィルターを用いる方法が開示されている。
本発明者らが、特許文献1に記載されているような4級アンモニウム塩基を有する樹脂を用いて、上記脂肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物の除去性の評価を行ったところ、改善の余地があることを見出した。
[1] カルボン酸基及びスルホン酸基からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のイオン性基と、フッ素原子とを含み、酸素原子を含んでいてもよい、肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物と、HF及びH2SO4からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の酸と、水と、を含む被処理液を、3級アミノ基を有する樹脂に接触させて、上記被処理液から上記肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物を除去する、被処理液の精製方法。
[2] 上記肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物の濃度が100ppt以下になるまで精製を行う、[1]に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
[3] 上記肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物が、下記式(X)で表される化合物である、[1]または[2]に記載の被処理液の精製方法。

「イオン交換基」とは、この基に含まれるイオンの少なくとも一部を、他のイオンに交換しうる基であり、例えば、下記のスルホン酸型官能基、カルボン酸型官能基が挙げられる。
「スルホン酸型官能基」とは、スルホン酸基(-SO3H)、又はスルホン酸塩基(-SO3M2。ただし、M2はアルカリ金属又は第4級アンモニウムカチオンである。)を意味する。
「カルボン酸型官能基」とは、カルボン酸基(-COOH)、又はカルボン酸塩基(-COOM1。ただし、M1はアルカリ金属又は第4級アンモニウムカチオンである。)を意味する。
「脂肪族炭化水素基」とは、炭素原子と水素原子から構成される脂肪族の基であり、例えばアルキル基、アルキレン基、アルケニル基、アルキニル基等を意味する。
また、被処理液中の各成分の量は、被処理液中に各成分に該当する物質が複数存在する場合、特に断りのない限り、被処理液中に存在する複数の物質の合計量を意味する。
本発明の被処理液の精製方法(以下、「本精製方法」ともいう。)は、カルボン酸基及びスルホン酸基からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のイオン性基と、フッ素原子とを含み、酸素原子を含んでいてもよい、脂肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物(以下、「イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物」ともいう。)と、HF及びH2SO4からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の酸(以下、「特定酸」ともいう。)と、水と、を含む被処理液を、3級アミノ基を有する樹脂(以下、「特定樹脂」ともいう。)に接触させて、上記被処理液から上記イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物を除去する精製工程を有する。
本精製方法によれば、イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物の除去性に優れる。この理由の詳細は未だ明らかになっていないが、概ね以下の理由によると推測される。
本精製方法における精製に用いる被処理液には、特定酸が含まれている。これにより、被処理液のpHが低くなり、特定樹脂が有する3級アミノ基に対するプロトン付加が促進されるとともに特定酸を陰イオンとするイオン対が形成され、これにより特定樹脂によるアニオン交換能力が向上したためと推測される。
本精製方法における精製に用いる被処理液は、イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物と、特定酸と、水と、を含む。
イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物とは、上述した通り、カルボン酸基及びスルホン酸基からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のイオン性基と、フッ素原子とを含み、酸素原子を含んでいてもよい、脂肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物を意味する。
イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物が酸素原子を含む場合、酸素原子は、エーテル性酸素原子(-O-)であってもよく、水酸基(-OH)を構成する酸素原子であってもよく、カルボニル基(-C(=O))を構成する酸素原子であってもよいが、なかでもエーテル性酸素原子(-O-)であることが好ましい。

脂肪族炭化水素基は、飽和炭化水素基であってもよく、不飽和炭化水素基であってもよいが、飽和炭化水素基が好ましい。
脂肪族炭化水素基は、直鎖状、分岐鎖状及び環状のいずれであってもよいが、直鎖状又は分岐鎖状が好ましい。

特定酸とは、HF及びH2SO4からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の酸である。被処理液は、HF及びH2SO4のいずれか一方を含んでおり、両方を含んでいてもよいが、イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物の除去性がより優れる点で、両方を含むのが好ましい。
特定酸は、被処理液中で電離してイオンの状態で存在していてもよい。
被処理液中の特定酸の濃度は、イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物の除去性がより優れる点で、0.1ppb以上が好ましく、1ppb以上がより好ましく、5ppb以上が更に好ましく、F-及びSO4 2-による吸着の競合を抑制できる優れる点で、100ppm以下が好ましく、10ppm以下がより好ましく、1ppm以下が更に好ましい。
被処理液中の水の濃度は、900g/L以上が好ましく、990g/L以上がより好ましく、999g/L以上が更に好ましく、また、1000g/L未満が好ましい。
被処理液は、イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物、特定酸及び水以外の他の成分を含んでいてもよい。他の成分の具体例としては、金属イオン、塩化物イオンが挙げられる。
被処理液が他の成分を含む場合、被処理液中の他の成分の濃度は、100000ppm以下が好ましく、10000ppm以下がより好ましく、1000ppm以下が更に好ましい。
被処理液は、上述の各成分が混合された液であってもよく、イオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマーを含む燃料電池または水電解装置の電気化学的反応によって生じた液であってもよい。被処理液が、イオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマーを含む燃料電池または水電解装置の電気化学的反応によって生じた液である場合には、該被処理液は、例えば、燃料電池の電気化学的反応によって生じた水に、イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物及び特定酸が溶解して生成される。ここで、イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物及び特定酸は、燃料電池または水電解装置を構成する材料に含まれる、イオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマーの分解物や溶出物であると推測される。
被処理液が、イオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマーを含む燃料電池または水電解装置の電気化学的反応によって生じた液である場合、被処理液は精製工程を経たのち再度燃料電池または水電解装置のシステム内に再利用されてもよく、システムの外に排出されてもよいが、システムの簡素さに優れるという点でシステムの外に排出されるのが好ましい。
なお、燃料電池のシステムとは、セルスタック、アノードガスおよびカソードガスの供給部、循環部および湿度調整部、スタック冷却用媒体の供給部および循環部を指す。改質により生成した水素を使用する場合は燃料改質部も含む。水電解装置のシステムとは、セルスタック、セルスタックへの流体供給部および湿度調整部、スタック冷却用媒体の供給部および循環部、セルスタックから排出された流体の回収部、セルスタックから排出された水のセルスタックへの循環部を指す。
特定樹脂は、上述した通り3級アミノ基を有する樹脂であり、精製工程においてイオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物を被処理液から除去するために使用する陰イオン交換樹脂である。
RN1及びRN2の具体例としては、エーテル性酸素原子又はヒドロキシ基を含んでいてもよい、アルキル基、アルケニル基、アリール基、アセチル基、ベンゾイル基、ベンゼンスルホニル基、tert-ブトキシカルボニル基が挙げられ、アルキル基、アルケニル基が好ましく、アルキル基がより好ましい。RN1及びRN2の炭素数は、それぞれ独立して、1以上が好ましく、また、10以下が好ましく、6以下がより好ましく、5以下が更に好ましい。
3級アミノ基の具体例としては、ジメチルアミノ基、ジエチルアミノ基、ジプロピルアミノ基、ジブチルアミノ基、エチルメチルアミノ基、ジフェニルアミノ基、メチルフェニルアミノ基が挙げられる。
スチレン系樹脂としては、スチレン、エチルスチレン、メチルスチレン等のスチレン系単量体と、ジビニルベンゼン、トリビニルベンゼン等の架橋剤との架橋共重合体が挙げられ、スチレンとジビニルベンゼンとの架橋共重合体が好ましい。
(メタ)アクリル系樹脂としては、エチルアクリレート、メチル(メタ)アクリレート、グリシジル(メタ)アクリレート等の(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する単量体((メタ)アクリル酸エステル)と、エチレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ポリエチレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ジビニルベンゼン、トリビニルベンゼン等の架橋剤との架橋共重合体が挙げられ、アクリル酸エステルとジビニルベンゼンとの架橋共重合体が好ましい。
特定樹脂の構造は特に限定されないが、ゲル型、ポーラス型、ハイポーラス型が挙げられる。特定樹脂の構造は、機械的強度及び除去効率が優れる点から、ゲル型、ポーラス型が好ましい。
精製工程は、被処理液を特定樹脂に接触させて、被処理液からイオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物を除去する工程である。
以下においては、特定樹脂が充填されたカラムを用いた精製工程を例に挙げて説明する。
本明細書において、処理速度SVとは、被処理液の精製に用いる特定樹脂の体積(樹脂体積)に対する被処理液の通液流速を意味し、1時間(Hr)あたりの処理可能量を表す値である。具体的には以下の式で表される。
SV(Hr-1)=通液流速(mL・Hrー1)/樹脂体積(mL)
なお、本明細書において樹脂体積とは、メスシリンダーに特定樹脂と23℃の水を入れ、12時間以上浸漬した後に、メスシリンダーに振動を加え樹脂層の高さが変化しなくなった時点における水中での体積を指す。
本明細書において、処理量BVとは、被処理液の精製に用いる特定樹脂の体積(樹脂体積)に対する被処理液の通液総量を意味し、具体的には以下の式で表される。
BV=通液総量(mL)/樹脂体積(mL)
精製工程では、精製液中における特定酸中の陰イオンの濃度が20ppb以下になるまで精製を行うことが好ましく、10ppb以下になるまで精製を行うことがより好ましく、5ppb以下になるまで精製を行うことが更に好ましい。
被処理液中の金属イオンを除去する方法としては、例えば被処理液をカチオン交換樹脂と接触させたのち精製工程を実施する方法や、精製工程においてカチオン交換樹脂と特定樹脂を混合した混合樹脂を用いて被処理液を混合樹脂と接触させる方法が挙げられる。イオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物の除去性能に優れる点では前者の方法が好ましく、精製に必要な装置の簡素さに優れる点では後者の方法が好ましい。
本処理液の精製方法は、精製工程以外の工程を含んでいてもよい。
このような工程の具体例としては、精製工程の前に、特定樹脂を水(例えば、純水やイオン交換水)と接触させて洗浄する工程や、特定樹脂に含まれる気体を水で置換する脱気工程(例えば、水に浸漬した状態で真空ポンプを用いて脱気する、水に浸漬した状態で振動を与えて脱気する)など(以下、「前処理工程」ともいう。)が挙げられる。前処理工程を行うことによって、特定樹脂によるイオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物の除去性がより向上する。
上述したように、被処理液は、イオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマー(以下、「含フッ素ポリマー(I)」ともいう。)を含む燃料電池または水電解装置の電気化学的反応によって生じた液であってもよい。
含フッ素ポリマー(I)は、燃料電池または水電解装置における電解質膜に含まれるポリマーであってもよく、電極(アノード又はカソード)に含まれるポリマーであってもよい。
含フッ素ポリマー(I)におけるイオン交換基の具体例としては、スルホン酸型官能基及びカルボン酸型官能基が挙げられ、スルホン酸型官能基が好ましい。
以下では、主に、スルホン酸型官能基を有する含フッ素ポリマー(以下、「含フッ素ポリマー(S)」ともいう。)の態様について詳述する。
含フッ素オレフィンとしては、例えば、分子中に1個以上のフッ素原子を有する炭素数が2~3のフルオロオレフィンが挙げられる。フルオロオレフィンの具体例としては、テトラフルオロエチレン(以下、「TFE」ともいう。)、クロロトリフルオロエチレン、フッ化ビニリデン、フッ化ビニル、ヘキサフルオロプロピレンが挙げられる。なかでも、モノマーの製造コスト、他のモノマーとの反応性、得られる含フッ素ポリマー(S)の特性に優れる点から、TFEが好ましい。
含フッ素オレフィンは、1種を単独で用いてもよく、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。

含フッ素ポリマー(I)は、燃料電池または水電解装置の作動環境下における乾燥を防ぎ、化学劣化を抑制するための保水剤として、シリカ又はヘテロポリ酸(例えば、リン酸ジルコニウム、リンモリブデン酸、リンタングステン酸)を含んでいてもよい。
本項記載の含フッ素ポリマー(I)を用いることにより、燃料電池または水電解装置からのイオン性基を含む含フッ素脂肪族炭化水素化合物の生成を大幅に抑制できることが知られているが、完全に抑制することは難しい。そのため、本項記載の含フッ素ポリマー(I)を含む燃料電池または水電解装置に本発明を組み合わせることで、本発明の目的をより効果的に達成することができる。
後述の膜電極接合体は、触媒およびイオン交換基を有するポリマーを含む触媒層を有するアノードと、触媒およびイオン交換基を有するポリマーを含む触媒層を有するカソードと、上記アノードと上記カソードとの間に配置されたイオン交換基を有するポリマーを含む固体高分子電解質膜と、を含む。アノードに含まれるイオン交換基を有するポリマー、カソードに含まれるイオン交換基を有するポリマーと固体高分子電解質膜に含まれるイオン交換基を有するポリマーのうち、少なくとも1つはイオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマーである。
以下において、膜電極接合体の一例について、図面を参照しながら説明する。
触媒層11に含まれるイオン交換基を有するポリマーとしては、イオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマーが挙げられ、上述の含フッ素ポリマー(S)を用いることが好ましい。
ガス拡散層は、生成するガスの付着を防止するために、PTFE等によって撥水化または親水化処理したり、イオン交換基を有するポリマー等によって親水化してもよい。
図1の膜電極接合体においてはガス拡散層12が含まれるが、ガス拡散層は任意の部材であり、膜電極接合体に含まれていなくてもよい。
他の部材の具体例としては、触媒層11とガス拡散層12との間に設けられるカーボン層(図示せず)が挙げられる。カーボン層を配置すれば、触媒層11の表面のガス拡散性が向上して、燃料電池の発電性能をより向上できる。
カーボン層は、例えば、カーボンと非イオン性含フッ素ポリマーとを含む。カーボンの具体例としては、繊維径1~1000nm、繊維長1000μm以下のカーボンナノファイバーが好ましい。非イオン性フッ素ポリマーの具体例としては、PTFEが挙げられる。
なお、触媒層の製造方法は、触媒層形成用塗工液を所定の位置に塗布して、必要に応じて乾燥させる方法が挙げられる。触媒層形成用塗工液は、イオン交換基を有するポリマーおよび触媒を分散媒に分散させた液である。
所定量の樹脂(イオン交換樹脂)をメスシリンダーに入れ、超純水に一晩浸漬させた後、メスシリンダーの目盛りを読み取り、樹脂の体積を計測した。樹脂と超純水を、なす形フラスコに移し真空ポンプを用いて減圧脱気した後、PFA製カラム(フロン工業社製、TK型クロマトカラム)に超純水と共に樹脂を入れ、振動を加えて樹脂を充填した。振動を加えても樹脂層の高さが変化しないことを確認し、樹脂層の高さ(樹脂の充填高さ)を計測した。
樹脂(イオン交換樹脂)を充填したカラムにチューブ(チューブ材質:PFA、又は、サンゴバン社製のPharMed(登録商標)BPT)を接続し、チューブポンプ(EYELA社製、NRP-3000)を用いて以下に示す被処理液を室温(23℃)で通液した。
3級アミン型樹脂(3級アミノ基を有する樹脂)を用いる場合は、超純水を通液し洗浄を行った。処理速度はSV=100Hr-1とし、処理量はBV=100とした。
4級アンモニウムイオン型樹脂(4級アンモニウムイオンを有する樹脂)を用いる場合、1N-NaOH(関東化学社製、医薬品試験用)を通液して樹脂をOH-型へ変換した後、超純水を通液し洗浄を行った。1N-NaOHの処理速度はSV=4Hr-1、処理量はBV=6とした。超純水の通液は2回に分けて行い、1回目はSV=4Hr-1、BV=1.5とし、2回目はSV=100Hr-1、BV=50とした。
・3級アミン型樹脂(三菱ケミカル社製、ダイヤイオンWA30、母体樹脂:スチレン系樹脂、分類:弱塩基性・MR型、官能基:-N(CH3)2)
・4級アンモニウムイオン型樹脂(オルガノ株式会社製、アンバーライトIRA900J Cl、母体樹脂:スチレン系樹脂、分類:強塩基性・MR型、官能基:-N(CH3)3Cl)
公知の方法(具体的には、Macromolecules、2002、Volume35、No.4、1403-1411に記載の方法)により合成して、蒸留精製により純度99.5%としたFOC-CF(CF3)-O-CF2-CF2-SO2Fの20.00gを、撹拌機、コンデンサー、滴下ロートを備えた200mLのPFA樹脂製の3つ口フラスコに仕込んだ。該3つ口フラスコを氷浴で冷却しながら、NaOHの9.27gと超純水の58.02gを混合した液を滴下ロートから仕込んだのち、65℃で1時間加熱した。その後エタノールの28.8gを加え、70℃で2時間加熱した。冷却後の反応液の19F-NMR分析から、SO2F基及びCOF基の未検出を確認し、加水分解が完全に進行したことを確認した。反応により副生するフッ化ナトリウムを除去するために吸引ろ過を行い、ろ過残を超純水で洗浄してろ液を回収した。
塩酸水溶液、エタノール、及び、超純水で繰り返し洗浄したイオン交換樹脂(DOWEX MONOSPHERE(登録商標)650C(H) Cation Exchange Resin)の139gをPFA樹脂製の容器に計り取り、そこへ上述のろ液を注ぎ混合した。23℃で12時間微速攪拌させながらイオン交換を行った。イオン交換樹脂をろ過で除いた後にろ液を乾固し、得られた固体にクロロホルムの65.3gとアセトニトリルの17.5gを加えて溶解させ、0.5μmのメンブレンフィルター(PTFE製)を用いてろ過した。ろ液を乾固させてクロロホルムとアセトニトリルを除去し、HOOC-CF(CF3)-O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hからなる白色の固体を得た。得られた固体は極めて吸湿性が高かった。この固体を超純水で希釈して、HOOC-CF(CF3)-O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hと水とからなる水溶液を調製した。下記の19F-NMR分析により-75.1ppmに現れるHFIP(1,1,1,3,3,3-ヘキサフルオロ-2-プロパノール)のピークと、-77.7ppmに現れるピークとの積分値の比較から、内部標準法による定量分析(パルス繰り返し時間=60秒)を行い、3回の定量分析の平均値から、この水溶液中のHOOC-CF(CF3)-O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hの濃度が32.1質量%であることが分かった。以後、HOOC-CF(CF3)O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hを被処理化合物1と称する。
公知の方法(具体的には、特許第5286797号に記載の方法)により合成して、蒸留精製により純度99.4%としたFOC-CF(CF2-O-CF2-CF2-SO2F)-O-CF2-CF2-SO2Fの19.75gを、撹拌機、コンデンサー、滴下ロートを備えた500mLのPFA樹脂製の3つ口フラスコに仕込んだ。該3つ口フラスコを氷浴で冷却しながら、NaOHの12.14gと超純水の76.53gを混合した液を滴下ロートから仕込んだのち、65℃で1時間30分加熱した。冷却後の反応液の19F-NMR分析から、SO2F基及びCOF基の未検出を確認し、加水分解が完全に進行したことを確認した。反応により副生するフッ化ナトリウムを除去するためにろ過を行い、ろ過残を超純水で洗浄してろ液を回収した。回収したろ液の88.03gに超純水を加えて434.3gに希釈した。
イオン交換樹脂(DOWEX MONOSPHERE(登録商標)650C(H) Cation Exchange Resin)の60ccをPFA製カラムに充填し樹脂層の高さ38cmとし、超純水をSV=20Hr-1で1時間通液し、その後1N-HClをSV=13.3Hr-1で1時間通液し、さらにその後超純水をSV=20Hr-1で1時間通液しカラムの前処理を行った。前処理後のカラムに希釈した反応液をSV=20Hr-1で26時間循環通液させ、HOOC-CF(CF2-O-CF2-CF2-SO3H)-O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hと水とからなる水溶液を得た。19F-NMRで-75.1ppmに現れるHFIP(1,1,1,3,3,3-ヘキサフルオロ-2-プロパノール)のピークと、-79.7ppmに現れるピークとの積分値の比較から、内部標準法による定量分析(パルス繰り返し時間=60秒)を行い、3回の定量分析の平均値から、この水溶液中のHOOC-CF(CF2-O-CF2-CF2-SO3H)-O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hの濃度が5.5質量%であることが分かった。以後、HOOC-CF(CF2-O-CF2-CF2-SO3H)-O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hを被処理化合物2と称する。
19F-NMRは、周波数:282.7MHz、溶媒:CD3CN、化学シフト基準:CFCl3の条件にて測定した。生成物の定量は、19F-NMRの分析結果及び内部標準試料(HFIP)の添加量から行った。
所定量の被処理化合物の水溶液を超純水に希釈し、所定濃度の水溶液を調製した。調製後の水溶液は、超音波処理を行いながら真空ポンプで減圧脱気した後、HF(富士フイルム和光純薬社製、試薬特級、47質量%)及びH2SO4(純正化学社製、試薬特級、95質量%)をそれぞれ1ppmとなるように添加し、チューブポンプ(EYELA製、NRP-3000、チューブ材質:サンゴバン社製PharMed(登録商標)BPT)を用いて容器内で液を循環させ混合した後、被処理液とした。
前処理後のイオン交換樹脂が充填されたカラムに、被処理液を室温(23℃)で通液した。具体的には、SV=100Hr-1で30分間、被処理液を通液した後、SV=200Hr-1となるよう流量を調整し30分間通液した後、カラム通過後の溶液(以下、「精製液」ともいう。)をPP製ボトルに回収した。この時の処理量はBV=150であった。
被処理液及び精製液中の被処理化合物の定量は、液体クロマトグラフィー/質量分析(LC/MS/MS)を用いて実施した。例えば、被処理化合物が被処理化合物1の場合は、以下の条件で実施した。

濃度既知のHOOC-CF(CF3)-O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hの水溶液を超純水に希釈し、100ppb、10ppb、1ppb、100ppt、90ppt、80ppt、70ppt、60ppt、50ppt、40ppt、30ppt、20ppt、10pptの濃度既知の標準溶液を調製した。
各標準溶液に対して上記LC条件及びMS条件に従いLC/MS/MS測定を行い、保持時間2.7分~3.0分において、以下の条件で検出されるピークの面積値を算出した。

濃度とピーク面積値のプロットに対して一次近似直線を引き、検量線とした。
精製液に対して、上記LC条件及びMS条件でLC/MS/MS測定を行い、保持時間2.7分~3.0分において、以下の条件で検出されるピークの面積値を算出した。

このピーク面積値と検量線を基に、精製液中の被処理化合物1の濃度を算出した。

濃度既知のHOOC-CF(CF2-O-CF2-CF2-SO3H)-O-CF2-CF2-SO3Hの水溶液を超純水に希釈し、27.5ppb、5.5ppb、2.75ppb、550ppt、275ppt、55pptの濃度既知の標準溶液を調製した。
各標準溶液に対して上記LC条件及びMS条件に従いLC/MS/MS測定を行い、保持時間5.1分~5.6分において、以下の条件で検出されるピークの面積値を算出した。

濃度とピーク面積値のプロットに対して一次近似直線を引き、検量線とした。
精製液に対して、上記LC条件及びMS条件でLC/MS/MS測定を行い、保持時間5.1分~5.6分において、以下の条件で検出されるピークの面積値を算出した。

このピーク面積値と検量線を基に、精製液中の被処理化合物2の濃度を算出した。
3級アミン型樹脂(三菱ケミカル社製、ダイヤイオンWA30)の7.7mLをPFA製カラム(フロン工業社製、TKB-830、内径8mm、高さ30cm)に充填した。このときの樹脂層の高さ(樹脂の充填高さ)は、15.0cmであった。
濃度既知の被処理化合物1の水溶液を超純水に希釈して濃度100ppbとした水溶液に、HF(富士フイルム和光純薬社製、試薬特級、47質量%)及びH2SO4(純正化学株式会社製、試薬特級、95%)をそれぞれ濃度1ppmとなるように添加し、被処理液1-1を調製した。この被処理液1-1をカラムに室温(23℃)で通液した。得られた精製液中における被処理化合物1の濃度は、29pptであった。
被処理液1-1の調製時にHF及びH2SO4の添加を実施しなかった点以外は、例1と同様にして、例2における精製液を得た。例2における精製液中の被処理化合物1の濃度は223pptであった。
3級アミン型樹脂から4級アンモニウムイオン型樹脂(オルガノ株式会社製、アンバーライトIRA900J Cl)に変更した点以外は、例1と同様にして、例3における精製液を得た。例3における精製液中の被処理化合物1の濃度は206pptであった。
被処理液1-1の調製時にHF及びH2SO4の添加を実施しなかった点以外は、例3と同様にして、例4における精製液を得た。例4における精製液中の被処理化合物1の濃度は175pptであった。
3級アミン型樹脂(三菱ケミカル社製、ダイヤイオンWA30)の7.7mLをPFA製カラム(フロン工業社製、TKB-830、内径8mm、高さ30cm)に充填した。このときの樹脂層の高さ(樹脂の充填高さ)は、15.0cmであった。
濃度既知の被処理化合物2の水溶液を超純水に希釈して濃度100ppbとした水溶液に、HF(富士フイルム和光純薬社製、試薬特級、47質量%)及びH2SO4(純正化学株式会社製、試薬特級、95%)をそれぞれ濃度1ppmとなるように添加し、被処理液2-1を調製した。この被処理液2-1をカラムに室温(23℃)で通液した。得られた精製液中における被処理化合物2の濃度は、100ppt以下であった。
TFE単位、並びに-[CF2-CF(-O-CF2CF(CF3)-O-(CF2)2-SO3H)]-の単位からなるポリマーを含む膜電極接合体を作成し、膜電極接合体を発電用セルに組み込み下記の開回路試験(OCV試験)を行う。
電流密度0.2A/cm2に相当する水素(利用率50%)および空気(利用率50%)を、それぞれアノードおよびカソードに常圧で供給する。セル温度は90℃、アノードのガス露点は61℃、カソードのガス露点は61℃として、発電は行わずに開回路状態で運転する。その際、排出されるガス及び液を、0.1モル/Lの水酸化カリウム水溶液に24時間トラップする。トラップ後の水酸化カリウム水溶液をカチオン交換樹脂フィルターに通液し、ろ液を得る。このろ液中にはF-、SO4 2-、および被処理化合物1が含まれる。このろ液を被処理液6と称する。
3級アミン型樹脂(三菱ケミカル社製、ダイヤイオンWA30)の7.7mLをPFA製カラム(フロン工業社製、TKB-830、内径8mm、高さ30cm)に充填する。このときの樹脂層の高さ(樹脂の充填高さ)は、15.0cmとなる。
被処理液6をカラムに室温(23℃)で通液する。得られた精製液中における被処理化合物1の濃度は、100ppt以下に減少している。
例5より、被処理化合物2と水からなる水溶液にHF及びH2SO4を共存させ、かつ3級アミン型のイオン交換樹脂によって精製を実施した場合、精製液中の被処理化合物2の濃度を100ppt以下にできることが示された。
Claims (14)
- カルボン酸基及びスルホン酸基からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種のイオン性基と、フッ素原子とを含み、酸素原子を含んでいてもよい、脂肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物と、
HF及びH2SO4からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の酸と、
水と、を含む被処理液を、
3級アミノ基を有する樹脂に接触させて、前記被処理液から前記脂肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物を除去する、被処理液の精製方法。 - 前記脂肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物の濃度が100ppt以下になるまで精製を行う、請求項1に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
- 前記脂肪族炭化水素基を有する化合物が、下記式(X)で表される化合物である、請求項1または2に記載の被処理液の精製方法。

(式(X)中、Lは、酸素原子を含んでいてもよい、フッ素原子を含む、m+n価の脂肪族炭化水素基であり、nは、0~2の整数であり、mは、0~3の整数であり、m及びnの合計が1以上である。) - mが1であり、nが1である、請求項3に記載の被処理液の精製方法。

- 前記被処理液が、イオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマーを含む燃料電池又は水電解装置の電気化学的反応によって生じた液である、請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
- 前記被処理液が、イオン交換基を有する含フッ素ポリマーを含む燃料電池又は水電解装置の電気化学的反応によって生じた液であり、燃料電池又は水電解装置のシステムの外に排出される液である、請求項7に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
- 前記3級アミノ基が、-NRN1RN2(式中、RN1及びRN2はそれぞれ独立に、1価の置換基である。)で表される基である、請求項1~8のいずれか1項に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
- 前記RN1及びRN2における1価の置換基が、エーテル性酸素原子又はヒドロキシ基を含んでいてもよい、アルキル基、アルケニル基、アリール基、アセチル基、ベンゾイル基、ベンゼンスルホニル基又はtert-ブトキシカルボニル基である、請求項9に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
- 前記RN1及びRN2の炭素数は、それぞれ独立して、1以上10以下である、請求項9または10に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
- 前記3級アミノ基を有する樹脂が、スチレン系樹脂及び(メタ)アクリル系樹脂の少なくとも一方を母体樹脂とする、請求項1~11のいずれか1項に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
- 前記精製方法が、前記3級アミノ基を有する樹脂が充填された容器内に前記被処理液を通液させる方法であって、前記被処理液の下記式で表される処理速度SVが1Hr-1以上400Hr-1以下である、請求項1~12のいずれか1項に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
SV(Hr-1)=通液流速(mL・Hrー1)/樹脂体積(mL) - 被処理液の通液総量を下記で表されるBVで表現した時に、BV=20,000まで通液した際の精製後のイオン性基を含む含フッ素アルキル化合物の濃度が100ppt以下に維持できるように処理速度SVを設定する、請求項13に記載の被処理液の精製方法。
