コンデンサユニットおよび電子機器
 本開示は、コンデンサユニットおよび電子機器に関する。
 電子機器、例えば、入力電力を変換して変換した電力を負荷に供給する電力変換装置には、大容量のコンデンサユニットを備えるものがある。この種の電子機器の一例が、特許文献1に開示されている。特許文献1に開示される車両用駆動制御装置は、電源平滑用のコンデンサユニットを備え、筐体内部の中央にコンデンサユニットが設けられている。

 コンデンサユニットの通電時に生じた熱は、電子機器の筐体内部の空気に放熱される。電子機器の筐体内部には、コンデンサユニットの他にも、例えばスイッチング素子である発熱体が収容されているため、筐体内部の空気の温度が上昇することがある。大容量のコンデンサユニットは発熱量が大きいため、筐体内部の温度の上昇によってコンデンサユニットを十分に冷却することができないと、コンデンサユニットの内部温度、具体的には、コンデンサユニットが備えるコンデンサ素子の温度が上昇してしまう。
 コンデンサ素子としてフィルムコンデンサが採用されている場合、許容温度が、コンデンサ素子の温度が取り得る値より高いフィルムで形成されるフィルムコンデンサが必要となる。コンデンサ素子の通流電流の増大に伴ってコンデンサ素子の温度は上昇するため、フィルムの許容温度が十分に高くない場合は、コンデンサ素子の通流電流に制約が生じる。換言すれば、筐体内部に設けられているコンデンサ素子の温度の上昇によって、コンデンサ素子のフィルムの許容温度およびコンデンサ素子の通流電流を含むコンデンサユニットの設計に制約が生じる。この課題は、大容量のコンデンサユニットを備える電力供給装置に限られず、コンデンサユニットを備える電子機器においてコンデンサユニットを十分に冷却できない場合に起こり得る。
 本開示は上述の事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、コンデンサ素子の温度の上昇を低減可能なコンデンサユニットおよびコンデンサユニットを備える電子機器を提供することを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するために、本開示のコンデンサユニットは、複数のコンデンサ素子と、1つまたは複数の伝熱部材と、を備える。1つまたは複数の伝熱部材は、複数のコンデンサ素子の少なくともいずれかに隣接した位置に設けられて、複数のコンデンサ素子の少なくともいずれかから受けた熱を内部で分散させる。
 本開示に係るコンデンサユニットにおいて、複数のコンデンサ素子で生じた熱は伝熱部材の内部で分散される。この結果、複数のコンデンサ素子が冷却され、コンデンサ素子の温度の上昇が低減される。

 以下、本開示の実施の形態に係るコンデンサユニットおよび電子機器について図面を参照して詳細に説明する。なお図中、同一または同等の部分には同一の符号を付す。
 電子機器の一例として、鉄道車両に搭載され、直流電源から供給される直流電力を三相交流電力に変換して電動機に供給する電力変換装置がある。電力変換装置を例にして、実施の形態1に係る電子機器1について以下に説明する。
 図1に示す電子機器1は、図示しない電源、具体的には、電力供給線を介して変電所から供給される電力を取得する集電装置から直流電力の供給を受ける。電力供給線は、例えば、架線または第三軌条である。集電装置は、例えば、パンタグラフまたは集電靴である。電子機器1は、集電装置から供給された直流電力を三相交流電力に変換して、変換した三相交流電力を負荷51に供給する。実施の形態では、電子機器1は3レベルインバータであり、負荷51は三相誘導電動機である。
 電子機器1は、集電装置に接続される正極端子1aと、接地される負極端子1bと、集電装置から供給される電力で充電されるコンデンサユニット11と、コンデンサユニット11を介して集電装置から供給される直流電力を三相交流電力に変換する電力変換部12と、を備える。正極端子1aは、接触器、フィルタリアクトル等を介して、集電装置に電気的に接続されることが好ましい。コンデンサユニット11は、第1コンデンサC1と、第2コンデンサC2と、を有する。第1コンデンサC1および第2コンデンサC2は直列に接続されている。

 コンデンサ素子21aの中心軸の方向の一端が正極端子に相当し、他端が負極端子に相当する。図4の例では、コンデンサ素子21aの上端が正極端子に相当し、コンデンサ素子21aの下端が負極端子に相当する。図2および図3の例では、コンデンサ素子21aのZ軸方向上端がコンデンサ素子21aの正極端子に相当し、コンデンサ素子21aのZ軸方向下端がコンデンサ素子21aの負極端子に相当する。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの少なくともいずれかに隣接した位置に設けられて、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの少なくともいずれかから伝達された熱を内部で分散させる。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの内、互いに隣接している2つのコンデンサ素子の間に設けられることが好ましい。さらに、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの内、互いに異なるコンデンサ素子に隣接した位置に設けられることが好ましい。
 実施の形態では、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cはそれぞれ、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの内、互いに隣接している2つのコンデンサ素子の間に設けられ、かつ、互いに異なる位置に設けられる。詳細には、伝熱部材22aは、コンデンサ素子21a,21bの間に設けられ、コンデンサ素子21a,21bから受けた熱を内部で分散させる。伝熱部材22bは、コンデンサ素子21b,21cの間に設けられ、コンデンサ素子21b,21cから受けた熱を内部で分散させる。伝熱部材22cは、コンデンサ素子21c,21dの間に設けられ、コンデンサ素子21c,21dから受けた熱を内部で分散させる。
 同様に、伝熱部材32aは、コンデンサ素子31a,31bの間に設けられ、コンデンサ素子31a,31bから受けた熱を内部で分散させる。伝熱部材32bは、コンデンサ素子31b,31cの間に設けられ、コンデンサ素子31b,31cから受けた熱を内部で分散させる。伝熱部材32cは、コンデンサ素子31c,31dの間に設けられ、コンデンサ素子31c,31dから受けた熱を内部で分散させる。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cは、少なくとも一方の主面がコンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの少なくともいずれかに当接する板状部材であることが好ましい。当接するとは、直接的に当接することおよび間接的に当接することを含むものとする。実施の形態では、伝熱部材22aは板状部材であって、伝熱部材22aの一方の主面はコンデンサ素子21aに当接し、伝熱部材22aの他方の主面はコンデンサ素子21bに当接する。伝熱部材22bは板状部材であって、伝熱部材22bの一方の主面はコンデンサ素子21bに当接し、伝熱部材22bの他方の主面はコンデンサ素子21cに当接する。伝熱部材22cは板状部材であって、伝熱部材22cの一方の主面はコンデンサ素子21cに当接し、伝熱部材22cの他方の主面はコンデンサ素子21dに当接する。
 同様に、伝熱部材32aは板状部材であって、伝熱部材32aの一方の主面はコンデンサ素子31aに当接し、伝熱部材32aの他方の主面はコンデンサ素子31bに当接する。伝熱部材32bは板状部材であって、伝熱部材32bの一方の主面はコンデンサ素子31bに当接し、伝熱部材32bの他方の主面はコンデンサ素子31cに当接する。伝熱部材32cは板状部材であって、伝熱部材32cの一方の主面はコンデンサ素子31cに当接し、伝熱部材32cの他方の主面はコンデンサ素子31dに当接する。
 伝熱部材22aがコンデンサ素子21a,21bに当接する板状部材であることで、コンデンサ素子21a,21bから伝熱部材22aへの伝熱効率が高まり、コンデンサ素子21a,21bの冷却性能が向上する。伝熱部材22b,22c,32a,32b,32cについても同様である。これによって、コンデンサユニット11の内部温度の上昇を低減することが可能となる。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cは、熱伝導率の高い材料、例えば、銅、アルミニウム等の金属で形成されることが好ましい。
 上述のように、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cが設けられることで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dで生じた熱は、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cに伝達され、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの内部で分散される。また、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cが設けられることで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dからコンデンサユニット11の外面までの伝熱効率が向上し、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dとコンデンサユニット11の外面との温度差が減少する。この結果、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度の上昇が低減され、コンデンサユニット11の外面の温度は上昇する。
 さらに、上述のように伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの内部で熱が分散されることで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度のばらつきが抑制される。換言すれば、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの最大温度が低減される。
 第1バスバー23aは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21dの鉛直方向上端に当接することで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21dのそれぞれの正極41aに電気的に接続する。同様に、第1バスバー33aは、コンデンサ素子31a,31b,31c,31dの鉛直方向上端に当接することで、コンデンサ素子31a,31b,31c,31dのそれぞれの正極41aに電気的に接続する。
 第2バスバー23bは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21dの鉛直方向下端に当接することで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21dのそれぞれの負極41bに電気的に接続する。同様に、第2バスバー33bは、コンデンサ素子31a,31b,31c,31dの鉛直方向下端に当接することで、コンデンサ素子31a,31b,31c,31dのそれぞれの負極41bに電気的に接続する。
 第1端子24aは、図示しない締結部材によって第1バスバー23aに当接した状態で第1バスバー23aに取り付けられる。この結果、第1端子24aは、第1バスバー23aに電気的に接続される。第1端子34aは、図示しない締結部材によって第1バスバー33aに当接した状態で第1バスバー33aに取り付けられる。この結果、第1端子34aは、第1バスバー33aに電気的に接続される。
 同様に、第2端子24bは、図示しない締結部材によって第2バスバー23bに当接した状態で第2バスバー23bに取り付けられる。この結果、第2端子24bは、第2バスバー23bに電気的に接続される。第2端子34bは、図示しない締結部材によって第2バスバー33bに当接した状態で第2バスバー33bに取り付けられる。この結果、第2端子34bは、第2バスバー33bに電気的に接続される。
 上述のコンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d、第1バスバー23a、第2バスバー23b、第1端子24a、および第2端子24bによって、第1コンデンサC1が実現される。第1端子24aは第1コンデンサC1の正極端子に相当し、第2端子24bは第1コンデンサC1の負極端子に相当する。第1端子24aは図示しないバスバーによって、正極端子1aおよび電力変換部12に電気的に接続される。第2端子24bは、図示しないバスバーによって、電力変換部12および第2コンデンサC2に電気的に接続される。
 上述のコンデンサ素子31a,31b,31c,31d、第1バスバー33a、第2バスバー33b、第1端子34a、および第2端子34bによって、第2コンデンサC2が実現される。第1端子34aは第2コンデンサC2の正極端子に相当し、第2端子34bは第2コンデンサC2の負極端子に相当する。第1端子34aは図示しないバスバーによって、電力変換部12および第1コンデンサC1に電気的に接続される。第2端子34bは、図示しないバスバーによって、負極端子1bおよび電力変換部12に電気的に接続される。
 絶縁部材25は、例えば、エポキシ、ウレタン、シリコーン等の樹脂で形成される。絶縁部材25は、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dおよび伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cを互いに絶縁する。実施の形態では、絶縁部材25は、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31d、および伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cのそれぞれの少なくとも一部を被覆する。換言すれば、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31d、および伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cのそれぞれの少なくとも一部は、絶縁部材25に封止されている。これにより、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dに対する伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの相対的位置が固定される。
 実施の形態では、絶縁部材25は、第1バスバー23a,33aおよび第2バスバー23b,33bを被覆し、第1端子24a,34aのそれぞれの一部および第2端子24b,34bのそれぞれの一部を露出させた状態で、第1端子24a,34aおよび第2端子24b,34bを被覆する。これにより、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31d、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32c、第1バスバー23a,33a、第2バスバー23b,33b、第1端子24a,34a、および第2端子24b,34bの相対的な位置関係が固定される。第1端子24a,34aのそれぞれの一部および第2端子24b,34bのそれぞれの一部が露出していることで、バスバーを第1端子24a,34aおよび第2端子24b,34bに電気的に接続することが可能となる。
 例えば、図示しないケースの内部にコンデンサユニット11の構成要素を並べて、エポキシ樹脂をケースに充填して硬化させてケースから取り出すことで、上述したようにコンデンサユニット11の構成要素を被覆する絶縁部材25が得られる。
 冷却性能を高めるために、コンデンサユニット11は、図5に示すように、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cに熱的に接続され、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dから伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cを介して伝達された熱を放熱する冷却部26をさらに備えることが好ましい。図5は、図3と同じ断面でコンデンサユニット11を見た図である。
 冷却部26は、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cに熱的に接続される受熱ブロック27と、受熱ブロック27から伝達された熱を放熱する放熱器28と、を有する。受熱ブロック27の一方の主面27aに絶縁部材25が取り付けられ、受熱ブロック27の他方の主面27bに放熱器28が取り付けられる。受熱ブロック27が伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cに熱的に接続されることで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dから伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cを介して受熱ブロック27に熱が伝達される。受熱ブロック27は、熱伝導率の高い材料、例えば、銅、アルミニウム等の金属で形成されることが好ましい。
 受熱ブロック27は、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cに当接することが好ましい。実施の形態では、絶縁部材25は、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cのそれぞれの冷却部26に近い端面を露出させた状態で、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cを被覆する。そして、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cのそれぞれの端面が冷却部26に直接的に当接した状態で、絶縁部材25は、冷却部26に取り付けられる。例えば、絶縁部材25は、図示しない締結部材によって、冷却部26が有する受熱ブロック27に取り付けられる。
 受熱ブロック27が伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの端面に当接することで、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cから受熱ブロック27に直接的に熱が伝達され、伝熱効率が高まる。この結果、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの冷却性能が向上して、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度の上昇を低減することが可能となる。
 放熱器28は、受熱ブロック27から伝達された熱を周囲の空気に放熱する。コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dから伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cを介して受熱ブロック27に伝達された熱が、放熱器28によって周囲の空気に放熱されることで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dが冷却される。実施の形態では、放熱器28は、図6に示すように主面がYZ平面に平行な複数のフィンを有する。放熱器28は、熱伝導率の高い材料、例えば、銅、アルミニウム等の金属で形成されることが好ましい。
 図7に示すように、電子機器1は、上記構成を有するコンデンサユニット11と、電力変換部12を筐体内部に収容する。詳細には、電子機器1は、コンデンサユニット11および電力変換部12を収容する筐体13と、電力変換部12を冷却する電力変換部冷却装置14と、を備える。図の複雑化を避けるため、図7において、電力変換部12については、電力変換部12が有する複数のスイッチング素子SWのみを記載し、電力変換部12の他の構成要素、例えば、正極端子1a、負極端子1b、正極端子1aおよび負極端子1bに接続されるバスバー、ならびに、負荷51に接続される端子およびバスバーについて記載を省略した。
 電子機器1の各部の詳細について以下に説明する。筐体13には、開口13a,13bが形成される。実施の形態では、開口13a,13bは互いに異なる面に形成される。
 コンデンサユニット11は、筐体13の内部に収容される。コンデンサユニット11が有する冷却部26は、一部が開口13aから筐体13の外部に露出した状態で開口13aを塞ぐ。冷却部26の一部が開口13aを塞ぐことで、塵埃、水分等の異物を含む筐体13の外部の空気が開口13aから筐体13の内部に流入することが抑制される。詳細には、放熱器28が筐体13の外部に露出した状態で、受熱ブロック27は筐体13の内部から開口13aを塞ぐ。放熱器28が筐体13の外部に露出しているため、放熱器28は、受熱ブロック27から伝達された熱を筐体13の外部の空気に放熱する。この結果、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dが冷却される。筐体13の外部の空気の温度は、筐体13の内部の空気の温度より低いため、筐体の内部の空気に放熱するコンデンサユニットと比べて、コンデンサユニット11の冷却性能は高い。
 電力変換部冷却装置14は、複数のスイッチング素子SWが取り付けられる受熱ブロック15と、受熱ブロック15を介して複数のスイッチング素子SWから伝達された熱を放熱する放熱器16と、を有する。受熱ブロック15の一方の主面15a、具体的には、筐体13の内部に向く面に複数のスイッチング素子SWが取り付けられる。例えば、電力変換部12は6つのスイッチング素子SWを有し、6つのスイッチング素子は二次元に配列されて、受熱ブロック15の主面15aに取り付けられる。受熱ブロック15の他方の主面15b、具体的には、筐体13の外部に向く面に放熱器16が取り付けられる。受熱ブロック15は、熱伝導率の高い材料、例えば、銅、アルミニウム等の金属で形成されることが好ましい。
 上記構成を有する電力変換部冷却装置14は、筐体13の内部に収容されて、一部が開口13bから筐体13の外部に露出した状態で開口13bを塞ぐ。電力変換部冷却装置14の一部が開口13bを塞ぐことで、塵埃、水分等の異物を含む筐体13の外部の空気が筐体13の内部に流入することが抑制される。詳細には、放熱器16が筐体13の外部に露出した状態で、受熱ブロック15は筐体13の内部から開口13bを塞ぐ。放熱器16が筐体13の外部に露出しているため、放熱器16は、受熱ブロック15を介して複数のスイッチング素子SWから伝達された熱を筐体13の外部の空気に放熱する。この結果、複数のスイッチング素子SWが冷却される。
 放熱器16は、主面がXY平面に平行な複数のフィンを有する。Y軸が鉄道車両の進行方向に一致する向きで電子機器1を鉄道車両に取り付けることで、放熱器16が有する複数のフィンの間を走行風が流れる。これにより、複数のスイッチング素子SWの冷却性能が向上する。
 ラミネートバスバー17は、コンデンサユニット11と電力変換部12を電気的に接続する。詳細には、ラミネートバスバー17は、絶縁層と導電層を積層することで形成されていて、第1端子24a,34aおよび第2端子24b,34bのそれぞれを対応するスイッチング素子SWに電気的に接続する。ラミネートバスバー17は、図示しない締結部材によって、第1端子24a,34a、第2端子24b,34b、およびスイッチング素子SWに取り付けられる。
 上記構成を有する電子機器1に電力が供給されると、具体的には、電子機器1が集電装置に電気的に接続されると、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dに電流が流れて、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dが発熱する。コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dで生じた熱は、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cを介して冷却部26が有する受熱ブロック27に伝達される。受熱ブロック27に伝達された熱は、受熱ブロック27に取り付けられる放熱器28または受熱ブロック27が当接する筐体13を介して、筐体13の外部の空気に放熱される。この結果、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dが冷却されて、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度上昇が低減される。
 電力変換部12の動作時は、スイッチング素子SWのオンオフが切り替わるため、スイッチング素子SWが発熱する。スイッチング素子SWで生じた熱は、受熱ブロック15に伝達され、受熱ブロック15に伝達された熱は、放熱器16から筐体13の外部の空気に放熱される。この結果、スイッチング素子SWが冷却される。
 上述したように、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dで生じた熱およびスイッチング素子SWのいずれで生じた熱も筐体13の外部の空気に放熱されるため、筐体13の内部の空気の温度上昇が低減される。この結果、コンデンサユニット11の内部温度の上昇およびスイッチング素子SWの温度の上昇が低減される。
 以上説明した通り、実施の形態に係るコンデンサユニット11においては、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dで生じた熱は、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cに伝達され、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの内部で分散される。この結果、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dとコンデンサユニット11の外面との温度差が減少し、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度の上昇が低減される。
 さらに、上述のように伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの内部で熱が分散されることで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度のばらつきが抑制される。換言すれば、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの最大温度が低減される。
 コンデンサユニット11が冷却部26を備える場合は、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dで生じた熱は、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cを介して冷却部26に伝達され、冷却部26から放熱される。この結果、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dがより冷却されて、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度の上昇がより低減される。
 フィルム41c,41dの劣化の程度は、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度およびコンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの電位傾度に応じて変化する。具体的には、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度または電位傾度が増大すると、フィルム41c,41dの寿命は短くなる。
 上述のように、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの温度上昇が低減されると、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの寿命を長くすることができる。また、同程度の寿命で、電位傾度を増大させることが可能となる。換言すれば、同程度の寿命で、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dに印加される電圧を高くすること、または、フィルム41c,41dを薄くすることが可能となる。換言すれば、コンデンサユニット11の設計の制約が緩和される。
 コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dに印加される電圧を高くすることで、コンデンサユニット11の大容量化が可能となる。フィルム41c,41dを薄くすることで、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの小型化、すなわち、コンデンサユニット11の小型化が可能となる。
 本開示の実施の形態は、上述の例に限られない。
 コンデンサユニット11が備えるコンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの数は、上述の例に限られず、任意である。実施の形態ではコンデンサユニット11は第1コンデンサC1と第2コンデンサC2の2つのコンデンサ群を有するが、コンデンサ群の数は任意である。例えば、コンデンサユニットは第1コンデンサC1のみを有してもよいし、第1コンデンサC1と第2コンデンサC2に加えて、第3コンデンサを有してもよい。
 コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの構成は、上述の例に限られない。一例として、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dは、金属箔を用いたフィルムコンデンサでもよい。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの個数および形状は、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dで生じた熱を内部で分散することができる形状であれば任意である。一例として、コンデンサユニット11は、平板状の単一の伝熱部材を有してもよい。他の一例として、コンデンサユニット11は、図8に示すように、棒状部材である伝熱部材29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cを有してもよい。伝熱部材29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの少なくともいずれかに隣接した位置に設けられて、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの少なくともいずれかから伝達された熱を内部で分散する。コンデンサユニット11が冷却部26を備える場合は、伝熱部材29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの少なくともいずれかから伝達された熱を冷却部26に伝達する。
 伝熱部材29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの内、互いに隣接している2つのコンデンサ素子の間に設けられることが好ましい。さらに、伝熱部材29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの内、互いに異なるコンデンサ素子に隣接した位置に設けられることが好ましい。
 図8に示すように、伝熱部材29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cはそれぞれ、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dの内、互いに隣接している2つのコンデンサ素子の間に設けられ、かつ、互いに異なる位置に設けられることが好ましい。
 他の一例として、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cは、U字型に折り曲げられた板状部材でもよいし、U字型に折り曲げられた棒状部材でもよい。他の一例として、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cは、内部に形成された流路に冷媒が封入されている板状部材でもよい。伝熱部材29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cについても同様である。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32c,29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cが設けられる位置は、上述の例に限られない。一例として、上述の位置に加えて、コンデンサ素子21dにのみ隣接した位置、具体的には、コンデンサ素子21dのX軸正方向に向く面に隣接した位置に伝熱部材が設けられてもよい。他の一例として、第1バスバー23aとコンデンサ素子21aのX軸負方向に向く面との間に伝熱部材が設けられてもよい。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32c,29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、全体が絶縁部材25に覆われていてもよい。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32c,29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、冷却部26に間接的に当接してもよい。一例として、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32c,29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cと冷却部26が有する受熱ブロック27の間に、接触熱抵抗を低減する部材、例えば、放熱シート、グリス等のTIM(Thermal Interface Material)が設けられてもよい。
 伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32c,29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、金属に限られず、内部で熱を分散させることができる部材で形成されればよい。一例として、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32c,29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、異方性を有する熱輸送部材、例えばグラファイトで形成されてもよい。他の一例として、伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32c,29a,29b,29c,35a,35b,35cは、複数種類の材料で形成される部材、例えば、異種金属で形成されるクラッド材でもよい。
 コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dに対する伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの相対的位置を固定する方法は、絶縁部材25による封止に限られず、任意である。電子機器1が鉄道車両に搭載される場合には、鉄道車両の走行時に生じる振動によって、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dに対する伝熱部材22a,22b,22c,32a,32b,32cの相対的位置が変動しない程度に強固に固定可能な手法が採用されることが好ましい。
 冷却部26の形状は、伝達された熱を放熱することができる形状であれば任意である。一例として、図9に示すように、伝熱部材22a,22b,22cの一部が受熱ブロック27を貫通し、放熱器としての役割を果たしてもよい。同様に、伝熱部材32a,32b,32cの一部が、受熱ブロック27を貫通し、放熱器としての役割を果たしてもよい。図9に示す冷却部26は、図5と同様の放熱器28をさらに備えてもよい。
 放熱器28の形状は、受熱ブロック27から伝達された熱を放熱することができる形状であれば任意である。一例として、放熱器28が有する複数のフィンは、放熱器28の近傍の空気の流れに応じて任意に変更可能である。他の一例として、放熱器28は、複数の棒状の突起を有してもよい。他の一例として、放熱器28は、ヒートパイプを有してもよいし、内部に形成された流路に冷媒が封入されている板状部材を有してもよい。
 冷却部26が設けられる位置は、上述の例に限られない。具体的には、冷却部26は、筐体13の外部ではなく、筐体13の内部に設けられてもよい。この場合、冷却部26は、図10に示すように、筐体13の内部であって、筐体13の外部の空気が流入する位置に設けられることが好ましい。図7に示す電子機器1の構成と異なる点を中心に、図10に示す電子機器1について以下に説明する。
 電子機器1は、筐体13の内部を筐体13の外部の空気の流入が抑制されている第1空間19aと筐体13の外部の空気が流入する第2空間19bとに仕切る仕切部材18を備える。第2空間19bに面する筐体13の面には複数の開口13cが形成されていて、複数の開口13cから筐体13の外部の空気が第2空間19bに流入する。
 仕切部材18には開口18aが形成されている。冷却部26は、一部が第2空間19bに位置した状態で、開口18aを塞ぐ。冷却部26の一部が開口18aを塞ぐことで、塵埃、水分等の異物を含む筐体13の外部の空気が開口18aから第1空間19aに流入することが抑制される。詳細には、放熱器28が第2空間19bに露出した状態で、受熱ブロック27は第1空間19aから開口18aを塞ぐ。放熱器28が第2空間19bに露出しているため、放熱器28は、受熱ブロック27から伝達された熱を第2空間19bに流入した筐体13の外部の空気に放熱する。この結果、コンデンサ素子21a,21b,21c,21d,31a,31b,31c,31dが冷却される。
 他の一例として、図7に示す開口13a,13bが筐体13の同一面に形成されて、スイッチング素子SWが冷却部26に熱的に接続されてもよい。換言すれば、コンデンサユニット11とスイッチング素子SWは、共通の冷却装置によって冷却されてもよい。この場合、受熱ブロック27の主面27a,27bは、絶縁部材25に加えて、スイッチング素子SWを取り付け可能な程度に大きければよい。
 絶縁部材25を受熱ブロック27に取り付ける方法は、任意である。一例として、接着剤によって絶縁部材25を受熱ブロック27に接着してもよい。
 図7に示す電子機器1は、図3に示すコンデンサユニット11を備えてもよい。この場合、絶縁部材25は、図7に示す開口13aを塞いだ状態で筐体13の内面に取り付けられればよい。同様に、図10に示す電子機器1は、図3に示すコンデンサユニット11を備えてもよい。この場合、絶縁部材は、図10に示す開口18aを塞いだ状態で仕切部材18に取り付けられればよい。
 電子機器1は、3レベル電力変換装置に限られず、コンデンサユニット11を備える任意の機器である。一例として、電子機器1は、整流装置でもよい。電子機器1は、鉄道車両に限られず、自動車、船舶、航空機等の任意の移動体に搭載可能である。
 負荷51は、三相誘導電動機に限られず、電子機器1から電力供給を受ける任意の機器である。例えば、負荷51は、空調機器、照明機器等である。
 本開示は、本開示の広義の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく、様々な実施の形態及び変形が可能とされるものである。また、上述した実施の形態は、この開示を説明するためのものであり、本開示の範囲を限定するものではない。すなわち、本開示の範囲は、実施の形態ではなく、特許請求の範囲によって示される。そして、特許請求の範囲内及びそれと同等の開示の意義の範囲内で施される様々な変形が、この開示の範囲内とみなされる。

Claims (14)

  1.  複数のコンデンサ素子と、
     前記複数のコンデンサ素子の少なくともいずれかに隣接した位置に設けられて、前記複数のコンデンサ素子の少なくともいずれかから受けた熱を内部で分散させる1つまたは複数の伝熱部材と、
     を備えるコンデンサユニット。
  2.  前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材のそれぞれの少なくとも一部および前記複数のコンデンサ素子を被覆することで、前記複数のコンデンサ素子に対する前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材の相対的位置を固定する絶縁部材をさらに備える、
     請求項1に記載のコンデンサユニット。
  3.  前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材はそれぞれ、少なくとも一方の主面が前記複数のコンデンサ素子の少なくともいずれかに当接する板状部材である、
     請求項1または2に記載のコンデンサユニット。
  4.  前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材はそれぞれ、前記複数のコンデンサ素子の少なくともいずれかに当接する棒状部材である、
     請求項1または2に記載のコンデンサユニット。
  5.  前記複数の伝熱部材は、互いに異なる前記コンデンサ素子に隣接した位置に設けられる、
     請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載のコンデンサユニット。
  6.  前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材に熱的に接続され、前記複数のコンデンサ素子から前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材を介して伝達された熱を放熱する冷却部をさらに備える、
     請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載のコンデンサユニット。
  7.  前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材はそれぞれ、前記複数のコンデンサ素子の内、互いに隣接している2つの前記コンデンサ素子の間に設けられて、前記互いに隣接している2つのコンデンサ素子から受けた熱を前記冷却部に伝達する、
     請求項6に記載のコンデンサユニット。
  8.  前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材は前記冷却部に当接している、
     請求項6または7に記載のコンデンサユニット。
  9.  前記冷却部は、
     前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材に熱的に接続される受熱ブロックと、
     前記受熱ブロックから伝達された熱を放熱する放熱器と、を有する、
     請求項6から8のいずれか1項に記載のコンデンサユニット。
  10.  請求項1から9のいずれか1項に記載のコンデンサユニットを備える、
     電子機器。
  11.  請求項6から8のいずれか1項に記載のコンデンサユニットと、
     前記コンデンサユニットを介して電源から供給される電力を負荷に供給するための電力に変換し、変換した前記電力を出力する電力変換部と、
     前記コンデンサユニットおよび前記電力変換部を収容する筐体と、を備え、
     前記コンデンサユニットが備える前記冷却部は、前記複数のコンデンサ素子から前記1つまたは複数の伝熱部材を介して伝達された熱を、前記筐体の外部の空気に放熱する、
     電子機器。
  12.  前記筐体の内部を、前記コンデンサユニットおよび前記電力変換部が収容され、前記筐体の外部の空気の流入が抑制されている第1空間と、前記筐体の外部の空気が流入する第2空間とに仕切る仕切部材をさらに備え、
     前記コンデンサユニットが備える前記冷却部は、一部が前記仕切部材に形成された開口から前記第2空間に露出した状態で前記開口を塞ぐ、
     請求項11に記載の電子機器。
  13.  前記コンデンサユニットが備える前記冷却部は、一部が前記筐体に形成された開口から前記筐体の外部に露出した状態で前記開口を塞ぐ、
     請求項11に記載の電子機器。
  14.  前記電力変換部から伝達された熱を前記筐体の外部の空気に放熱する電力変換部冷却装置をさらに備える、
     請求項11から13のいずれか1項に記載の電子機器。
