同期リラクタンスモータ
 本開示は、同期リラクタンスモータに関する。
 電動機は様々な用途に用いられており、一例として、鉄道車両の推進力を生じさせるために用いられている。鉄道車両の床下のスペースには限りがあるため、鉄道車両に設けられている電動機は、少ない数で目標とする推進力を生じさせることが可能な高効率の電動機であることが好ましい。そこで、電気鉄道車両に設けられる電動機として、誘導電動機より効率の高い同期電動機が用いられることがある。同期電動機の一種である同期リラクタンスモータの一例が特許文献1に開示されている。
 特許文献1に開示される同期リラクタンスモータは、回転子と、回転子と径方向に間隔を空けて対向する固定子と、を備える。回転子は、例えば円の中心に向かって凸に湾曲するスリットが周方向に並んで形成された円形の電磁鋼板を積層することで形成される。貫通孔が形成されていることで、磁気抵抗が周方向の位置によって異なるため、回転子は、磁気抵抗が低い部分である複数の突極を有する。固定子に形成されたスロットに挿入される固定子コイルが通電されると、回転子の突極が固定子コイルに引きつけられることで、回転子が回転する。

 同期リラクタンスモータは、誘導電動機と比べて高効率であるが、例えばより少ないモータ数で目標とする鉄道車両の推進力を生じさせる必要がある場合、同期リラクタンスモータの効率を向上させることが求められている。同期リラクタンスモータの効率を向上させるために、例えば、固定子コイルに流れる電流を増大させる、固定子のスロットを増やして固定子コイルの周方向の配置間隔を狭くする、固定子と回転子との間の空隙を狭くする等の方法がとられる。
 固定子コイルに流れる電流が大きくなり過ぎると、同期リラクタンスモータの内部の温度が上昇してしまうため、同期リラクタンスモータの冷却性能を高める必要がある。例えばファンを大型化して冷却性能を高めると、同期リラクタンスモータが大型化してしまう。固定子コイルの周方向の配置間隔を狭くする、または固定子と回転子との間隔を狭くする場合、固定子の磁気パーミアンスの変動が大きくなるため、固定子に生じる高調波磁束の振幅が増大する。この結果、トルクリプル、電磁加振力、および高調波損失が増大してしまう。これらの課題は、鉄道車両に設けられる同期リラクタンスモータに限られず、同期リラクタンスモータの効率を向上させる際に生じる。
 本開示は上述の事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、コイル電流および磁気パーミアンスの変動の増大を抑制可能な高効率の同期リラクタンスモータを提供することを目的とする。
 上記目的を達成するために、本開示の同期リラクタンスモータは、シャフトと、回転子と、固定子と、複数の磁性楔と、を備える。シャフトは、回転軸周りに回転可能に支持される。回転子は、シャフトの径方向の外側に位置してシャフトと一体に回転し、複数の突極を有する。固定子は、回転子と空隙を挟んで径方向に対向し、回転子に向いて開口している複数のスロットが回転軸周りの周方向に並んで形成される固定子鉄心と、複数のスロットに挿入される複数の固定子コイルと、を有する。複数の磁性楔は、複数のスロットの少なくとも一部について、固定子コイルが挿入された状態でスロットを塞ぐ。
 本開示の同期リラクタンスモータは、固定子に形成される複数のスロットの少なくとも一部について、固定子コイルが挿入された状態でスロットを塞ぐ複数の磁性楔を備える。効率を高めるために、固定子コイルに流れる電流の大きさを変化させない状態で、固定子コイルの周方向の配置間隔または固定子と回転子との間の空隙を狭くしても、複数の磁性楔がスロットを塞いで設けられていることで、固定子の磁気パーミアンスの変動の増大が抑制される。この結果、コイル電流および磁気パーミアンスの変動の増大を抑制可能な高効率の同期リラクタンスモータが得られる。

 以下、本開示の実施の形態に係る同期リラクタンスモータについて図面を参照して詳細に説明する。なお図中、同一または同等の部分には同一の符号を付す。
 (実施の形態1)
 鉄道車両を駆動するための同期リラクタンスモータを用いて、実施の形態1に係る同期リラクタンスモータ1について説明する。図1に示す同期リラクタンスモータ1は、鉄道車両の床下に取り付けられる。図1において、Z軸方向は、鉄道車両が水平に位置している状態で鉛直方向を示す。Y軸方向は、鉄道車両の幅方向を示す。X軸方向は、鉄道車両の進行方向を示す。換言すれば、鉄道車両は、X軸正方向またはX軸負方向に進む。X軸、Y軸、およびZ軸は互いに直交する。
 同期リラクタンスモータ1は、図1において一点鎖線で示す回転軸AX周りに回転可能に支持されるシャフト11と、シャフト11の径方向の外側に位置してシャフト11と一体に回転する回転子12と、回転子12と空隙30を挟んで径方向に間隔を空けて対向する固定子13と、シャフト11を回転可能に支持する軸受14,15と、を備える。同期リラクタンスモータ1はさらに、シャフト11が挿通された状態で回転子12、固定子13、および軸受14,15を収容するフレーム16と、フレーム16を回転軸AXの延伸方向に挟む第1ブラケット17および第2ブラケット18と、を備える。図1におけるII-II線での矢視断面図である図2に示すように、同期リラクタンスモータ1はさらに、固定子13に形成されるスロット33aを塞ぐ磁性楔19を備える。
 同期リラクタンスモータ1の各部の詳細について説明する。
 図1に示すシャフト11の第2ブラケット18に近い一端は、図示しない継手および歯車を介して鉄道車両の車軸に連結されている。シャフト11が回転することで、鉄道車両の推進力が発生する。
 回転子12は、シャフト11に取り付けられる回転子鉄心31と、回転子鉄心31を回転軸AXの延伸方向に挟んで固定する一対の挟持部材32と、を有する。回転子鉄心31は、図2に示すように、複数の突極31aを有する。突極は、回転子鉄心31の内、他の部分より磁気抵抗が低く、固定子13が通電されることで生じる磁束を内部に誘導する部分である。
 実施の形態1では、図1および図2に示すように、回転子鉄心31には、回転軸AXの延伸方向に貫通し径方向の中心に向かって凸に湾曲する複数のスリット31bが、周方向に並んで形成される。具体的には、回転軸AX周りの周方向に6個、さらに径方向に4個のスリット31bが並んで形成される。径方向内側のスリット31bの周方向の長さは、径方向外側のスリット31bの周方向の長さより短い。スリット31bが径方向内側に向かって延びる部分の近傍、具体的には周方向に互いに隣接する2つのスリット31bが隣接している部分の近傍に突極31aが形成される。換言すれば、周方向に互いに隣接する2つのスリット31bに挟まれた部位に突極31aが形成される。周方向に6個のスリット31bが並んで形成されることで、回転子12は6つの突極31aを有する。換言すれば、回転子12の極数は6である。径方向に4個のスリット31bが並んで形成されることで、スリット31bの径方向の間に、互いに隣接する2つの突極31aをつなぐ磁路31cが形成される。
 例えば、回転子鉄心31は、図2に示す複数のスリット31bに対応する貫通孔およびシャフト11が挿通される貫通孔が形成された円盤形状の電磁鋼板を積層することで形成される。詳細には、各電磁鋼板には、円板の中心に向かって突出する湾曲形状の複数の貫通孔と中心に位置する円形の貫通孔が形成されている。電磁鋼板を積層することで、各電磁鋼板の湾曲形状の貫通孔がスリット31bを形成する。
 図1に示す一対の挟持部材32は、回転軸AXの延伸方向に直交する断面の形状が円環である板状部材である。一対の挟持部材32が回転子鉄心31を挟むことで、回転子鉄心31が有する複数の電磁鋼板の互いの周方向の相対位置がずれることが抑制される。
 固定子13は、フレーム16の内周面に取り付けられる固定子鉄心33と、固定子鉄心33に形成された複数スロット33aに挿入される複数の固定子コイル34と、を有する。固定子鉄心33は、回転子鉄心31と空隙30を挟んで径方向に対向する。固定子鉄心33には、図2に示すように、回転軸AXの延伸方向に延びる複数のスロット33aが形成される。例えば、固定子鉄心33は、複数のスロット33aに対応する切り欠きが形成された円環形状の電磁鋼板を積層することで形成される。
 スロット33aは、回転子12に向いて開口する形状を有している。例えば、スロット33aは、回転軸AXに直交する断面の形状が矩形形状であって、固定子鉄心33を回転軸AXの延伸方向に貫通し、径方向内側に向いて開口している溝である。実施の形態1では、36個のスロット33aが周方向に等間隔に形成される。各スロット33aに固定子コイル34が挿入される。
 上述のスロット33aに挿入された固定子コイル34には、図示しないリード線を介して、外部から三相交流電流が供給される。
 複数のスロット33aの少なくとも一部について、固定子コイル34が挿入された状態でスロット33aを塞ぐ複数の磁性楔19が設けられる。磁性楔19は、スロット33aを塞いで固定子コイル34の脱落を防ぎながら、磁性パーミアンスの変動の増大を抑制可能な形状および材質の部材で形成される。例えば、各磁性楔19は、板状の強磁性体、具体的には、板状の鉄、または、固定子鉄心33を形成する電磁鋼板と同じ材質等で形成される。磁性楔19の径方向の厚みは、スロット33aが形成されることで生じる磁性パーミアンスの変動を抑制可能な厚み、例えば、空隙30の径方向の長さの1/2以上であることが好ましい。具体的には、磁性楔19の径方向の厚みは、1ミリメートル以上、かつ、4ミリメートル以下であることが好ましい。磁性楔19は、径方向外側に向かって突出している湾曲形状を有し、内周面が固定子鉄心33の内周面と同一の曲面上にあることが好ましい。
 実施の形態1では、全てのスロット33aの開口が磁性楔19で塞がれる。例えば、磁性楔19は、各スロット33aの開口に嵌合する。各スロット33aの開口が磁性楔19で塞がれている場合、各スロット33aの開口が塞がれていない場合と比べて、固定子13の内周面の磁気抵抗の変動が小さくなる。このため、固定子13の磁気パーミアンスの変動を小さくすることが可能となる。さらに、各スロット33aの開口に磁性楔19が嵌合することで、各スロット33aに挿入された固定子コイル34の脱落が防止される。
 実施の形態1では、各磁性楔19は、薄板状の形状を有する。磁性楔19の形状は、各スロット33aの開口の形状、および、磁性楔19がない場合に固定子13に生じる高調波磁束の振幅に応じて定められる。詳細には、磁性楔19は、スロット33aの開口に、スロット33aの開口からの脱落が防止される程度に強固に嵌合する形状を有すればよい。例えば、磁性楔19は径方向外側の端面の周方向の幅が、スロット33aの開口の周方向の幅に一致する薄板状の形状を有すればよい。さらに、磁性楔19は、高調波磁束の振幅によって生じ得るトルクリプル、電磁加振力、および高調波損失を許容可能な程度まで減衰させるために、高調波磁束の振幅の増大を抑制することを可能とする径方向の厚みを有する薄板状の形状を有すればよい。
 軸受14は、第1ブラケット17に保持されて、シャフト11を回転可能に支持する。
 軸受15は、第2ブラケット18に保持されて、シャフト11を回転可能に支持する。
 フレーム16は、図示しない固定部材によって鉄道車両の床下に固定される。フレーム16は、筒状の形状を有する。実施の形態1では、フレーム16は、両端が開口している筒の形状を有し、筒の両端が第1ブラケット17および第2ブラケット18に塞がれる。
 上記構成の同期リラクタンスモータ1において、磁性楔19の形状に応じた回転子12の損失の変化について以下に説明する。図2の部分拡大図である図3に示すように、磁性楔19の径方向の厚みをW1とし、空隙30の径方向の長さをG1とする。空隙30の径方向の長さG1に対する磁性楔19の径方向の厚みW1の比率を変化させると、図4に示すように、回転子12の損失が変化する。
 図4の横軸は、空隙30の径方向の長さG1に対する磁性楔19の径方向の厚みW1の比率、すなわち、磁性楔19の径方向の厚みW1を空隙30の径方向の長さG1で除算することで得られる値を示す。図4の横軸の値が0である場合は、固定子のスロットが磁性楔で塞がれていない同期リラクタンスモータを示す。空隙30の径方向の長さG1と磁性楔19の径方向の厚みW1が一致する場合、図4の横軸の値は1となる。
 図4の縦軸は、回転子12の損失を示す。詳細には、図4の縦軸は、空隙30の径方向の長さG1と磁性楔19の径方向の厚みW1が一致する場合の回転子12の損失を1として、回転子12の損失の程度を示す。図4に示すように、空隙30の径方向の長さG1に対する磁性楔19の径方向の厚みW1の比率を増大させることで、回転子12の損失を低減させることが可能となる。回転子12の損失を低減させることで、回転子12の発熱量が低減する。この結果、回転子12が取り付けられているシャフト11を回転可能に支持する軸受14,15の温度上昇を抑制することが可能となる。換言すれば、軸受14,15の温度を許容温度以下に維持しながら、同期リラクタンスモータ1の出力を増大させることが可能となる。
 以上説明したとおり、実施の形態1に係る同期リラクタンスモータ1が備える固定子13が有する固定子鉄心33に形成されるスロット33aは、磁性楔19で塞がれている。強磁性体で形成される磁性楔19によってスロット33aの開口が塞がれることで、固定子13の内周面の磁気抵抗の変動が小さくなる。これにより、固定子13の磁気パーミアンスの変動を小さくすることが可能となる。この結果、トルクリプル、電磁加振力、および高調波損失を低減することが可能となる。
 換言すれば、同期リラクタンスモータ1は、固定子鉄心33のスロット33aを磁性楔19で塞ぐことで磁気パーミアンスの変動を小さくすることができるため、固定子のスロットが塞がれていない同期リラクタンスモータと比べて、磁気パーミアンスの変動を同程度に維持しながら、回転子12と固定子13との間の空隙30をより狭くすることが可能となる。例えば、空隙30は、径方向の長さが10ミリメートル未満、具体的には2ミリメートルである。回転子12と固定子13との間の空隙30をより狭くすることで、回転子12の回転が容易となり、同期リラクタンスモータ1の効率が向上する。
 また、固定子のスロットが磁性楔で塞がれていない同期リラクタンスモータと比べて、磁気パーミアンスの変動を同程度に維持しながら、スロット33aの個数を増やして固定子コイル34の周方向の配置間隔を狭くすることが可能となる。固定子コイル34の周方向の配置間隔を狭くすることで、回転子12の回転が容易となり、同期リラクタンスモータ1の効率が向上する。
 固定子コイル34に流れる電流を増大させることなく、上述したように、回転子12と固定子13との間の空隙30をより狭くすること、または、固定子コイル34の周方向の配置間隔を狭くすることによって、同期リラクタンスモータ1の効率を向上させることが可能となる。換言すれば、固定子鉄心33のスロット33aを磁性楔19で塞ぐことで、固定子コイル34に流れる電流および磁気パーミアンスの変動の増大を抑制可能な高効率の同期リラクタンスモータ1が得られる。
 (実施の形態2)
 実施の形態1に係る同期リラクタンスモータ1では、全てのスロット33aの開口が磁性楔19で塞がれているが、磁性楔19の個数はスロット33aの個数より少なくてもよい。磁性楔19の個数がスロット33aの個数より少ない同期リラクタンスモータについて実施の形態2で説明する。
 実施の形態2に係る同期リラクタンスモータ2は、実施の形態1に係る同期リラクタンスモータ1の構成に加えて、図5に示すように、複数のスロット33aの内、磁性楔19で塞がれていないスロット33aを塞ぐ非磁性楔20を備える。図5は、図2と同じ断面で同期リラクタンスモータ2を見た図である。非磁性楔20は、非磁性体、具体的には、比透磁率が1とみなせる材質、例えばアルミニウムで形成される。非磁性楔20は、磁性楔19と同じ形状を有すればよい。
 同期リラクタンスモータ2が備える磁性楔19の個数は、スロット33aの個数より少なく、回転子12の極数と固定子13の相数との積の倍数である。詳細には、スロット33aの個数を回転子12の極数と固定子13の相数の積で除算して得られる毎相毎極のスロット数がnの場合、スロット33aの個数に対する磁性楔19の個数の割合はk/nで表すことができる。kはn以下の自然数である。実施の形態2では、回転子12の極数が6であって、スロット33aの個数が36個であるため、固定子コイル34に三相交流電流を流す場合は、毎相毎極のスロット数n=2である。実施の形態2では、k=1とする。図5に示すように、磁性楔19と非磁性楔20は、周方向に交互に並んで設けられることが好ましい。
 以上説明したとおり、同期リラクタンスモータ2において、複数のスロット33aの一部は磁性楔19で塞がれ、残りのスロット33aは非磁性楔20で塞がれる。固定子鉄心33のスロット33aを磁性楔19で塞ぐことで、固定子コイル34に流れる電流および磁気パーミアンスの変動の増大を抑制可能な高効率の同期リラクタンスモータ2が得られる。さらに、磁性楔19と磁性楔19より安価な非磁性楔20とを併用することで、同期リラクタンスモータ2の製造コストを低減することが可能となる。
 本開示は、上述の実施の形態に限られない。回転子鉄心31の形状は、回転子12が複数の突極31aを有することを可能にする形状であれば任意である。一例として、回転軸AXの延伸方向に直交する断面における回転子鉄心31の形状は円環でなくてもよい。具体的には、図6に示す同期リラクタンスモータ3のように、回転子鉄心31の外周面に径方向の外方に突出する複数の突起31dが周方向に並んで形成されてもよい。突起31dに突極31aが形成される。同期リラクタンスモータ3が備える回転子12が有する回転子鉄心31は、例えば、円板形状の電磁鋼板に、円板の中心に向かって突出する湾曲形状の複数の貫通孔を形成し、円板の外縁から円板の中心に向かって突出する湾曲形状の切り欠きを形成し、電磁鋼板を積層することで形成される。
 同期リラクタンスモータ3が備える回転子12の回転子鉄心31において、スリット31bが形成されず、突起31dのみが形成されてもよい。この場合でも、突起31dによって、回転子12の複数の突極31aが形成される。
 回転子12の極数は上述の例に限られない。極数は、6に限られず、任意の偶数である。一例として、回転子鉄心31には、周方向に4個、さらに径方向に4個のスリット31bが並んで形成されてもよい。この場合の回転子12の極数は4である。
 回転子12の極数が4であって、スロット33aの個数が36個である場合に、固定子コイル34に三相交流電流を流す場合、毎相毎極のスロット数n=3である。スロット33aの個数に対する磁性楔19の個数の割合は、上述の実施の形態のように1または1/2に限られず、例えば、スロット33aの個数に対する磁性楔19の個数の割合は1/3でもよい。換言すれば、スロット33aの個数に対する磁性楔19の個数の割合を示す式k/nにおいて、k=1とすればよい。この場合、36個の1/3に相当する12個の磁性楔19が周方向に等間隔で設けられればよい。具体的には、1つの磁性楔19と2つの互いに隣接する非磁性楔20とが交互に周方向に並んで設けられればよい。
 同期リラクタンスモータ2におけるスロット33aの個数に対する磁性楔19の個数の割合は2/3でもよい。この場合、36個の2/3に相当する24個の磁性楔19は、互いに隣接する2つの磁性楔19ごとに周方向に等間隔で設けられればよい。具体的には、互いに隣接する2つの磁性楔19と1つの非磁性楔20とが交互に周方向に並んで設けられればよい。
 毎相毎極のスロット数n=3の場合に、スロット33aの個数に対する磁性楔19の個数の割合の変化に応じた同期リラクタンスモータ1,2の損失の変化を図7に示す。図7の横軸は、スロット33aの個数に対する磁性楔19の個数の割合k/nを示す。図7の横軸の値が0である場合は、固定子のスロットが磁性楔で塞がれていない同期リラクタンスモータを示す。図7の横軸の値が0より大きく、かつ、1より小さい場合は、一部のスロット33aに磁性楔19が設けられている同期リラクタンスモータ2を示す。図7の横軸の値が1である場合は、全てのスロット33aに磁性楔19が設けられている同期リラクタンスモータ1を示す。
 図7の縦軸は、同期リラクタンスモータ1,2の損失を示す。詳細には、図7の縦軸は、固定子のスロットが磁性楔で塞がれていない同期リラクタンスモータの損失を1として、同期リラクタンスモータ1,2の損失の程度を示す。図7に示すように、スロット33aの一部にのみ磁性楔19を設ける場合でも、固定子のスロットが磁性楔で塞がれていない同期リラクタンスモータと比べて、損失を低減することが可能となる。
 固定子13の相数は、上述の例に限られず、例えば固定子コイル34に二相交流電流が流されてもよい。
 スリット31bの形状は、上述の例に限られず、回転子12に突極31aをもたせることができる形状であれば任意である。
 スロット33aの個数は、上述の例に限られず、任意の偶数である。例えば、スロット数は54個でもよい。
 スロット33aの形状は、上述の例に限られず、固定子コイル34を挿入可能な形状であれば任意である。一例として、スロット33aは、周方向の幅が径方向内側に近づくにつれて狭くなる形状でもよい。
 同期リラクタンスモータ1-3は、鉄道車両の推進力を生じさせるための電動機に限られず、汎用電動機、例えばポンプを駆動するための電動機に適用可能である。
 同期リラクタンスモータ1-3は、インナーロータ型のモータに限られず、アウターロータ型のモータに適用可能である。
 本開示は、本開示の広義の精神と範囲を逸脱することなく、様々な実施の形態及び変形が可能とされるものである。また、上述した実施の形態は、この開示を説明するためのものであり、本開示の範囲を限定するものではない。すなわち、本開示の範囲は、実施の形態ではなく、特許請求の範囲によって示される。そして、特許請求の範囲内及びそれと同等の開示の意義の範囲内で施される様々な変形が、この開示の範囲内とみなされる。

Claims (9)

  1.  回転軸周りに回転可能に支持されるシャフトと、
     前記シャフトの径方向の外側に位置して前記シャフトと一体に回転し、複数の突極を有する回転子と、
     前記回転子と空隙を挟んで前記径方向に対向し、前記回転子に向いて開口している複数のスロットが前記回転軸周りの周方向に並んで形成される固定子鉄心と、前記複数のスロットに挿入される複数の固定子コイルと、を有する固定子と、
     前記複数のスロットの少なくとも一部について、前記固定子コイルが挿入された状態で前記スロットを塞ぐ複数の磁性楔と、
     を備える同期リラクタンスモータ。
  2.  前記複数の磁性楔の個数は、前記複数のスロットの個数に一致する、
     請求項1に記載の同期リラクタンスモータ。
  3.  前記複数の磁性楔の個数は、前記回転子の極数と前記固定子の相数との積の倍数であって、前記複数のスロットの個数よりも少ない、

  6.  前記複数のスロットの内、前記磁性楔で塞がれていない前記スロットについて、前記固定子コイルが挿入された状態で前記スロットを塞ぐ非磁性楔をさらに備える、

  7.  前記磁性楔の径方向の厚みは、前記固定子と前記回転子との間の前記空隙の径方向の長さより長い、
