Abstract
Description
最初に本開示の実施態様を列記して説明する。
(1)ケースに取り付けられるコネクタであって、前記ケースに形成された取付穴を貫通するハウジングと、前記ハウジングに保持された端子金具と、前記ケースの内側において前記端子金具に接続される内側ハーネスと、前記ハウジングの外周面に装着されたCリングと、を備え、前記ハウジングの外周面は、外周側に突出したフランジと、前記Cリングが装着されるCリング装着溝とを有し、前記フランジと前記Cリングとは、前記ケースのうち前記取付穴の周縁部を挟み込むようになっており、前記端子金具は、前記内側ハーネスが接続される内側接続部と、前記ハウジングから前記ケースの外側に突出する外側接続部とを有し、前記ハウジングのうち前記外側接続部が突出する外側端子保持面には、前記外側端子保持面を覆うようにポッティング材が配置され、前記内側接続部は、前記内側ハーネスを接続する締結部材を有し、前記締結部材の軸線は、前記ハウジングの前記取付穴への貫通方向に延び、前記内側ハーネスは、前記内側接続部から前記貫通方向と交差する方向に延びるように配置されるものである。このような構成によれば、フランジ及びCリングによって、ハウジングを取付穴に保持できるから、ボルト締結することなく、コネクタをケースに取り付けることができる。また、ハウジングのうち外側接続部が突出する外側端子保持面には、ポッティング材が配置されているから、ケース内の液体が、端子金具とハウジングとの間の境界を伝ってハウジングの外部に漏れ出ることを防ぐことができる。加えて、締結部材の軸線と、ハウジングの取付穴への貫通方向とは、同一の方向であるから、締結作業を行うスペースを確保しやすい。さらに、内側ハーネスは、内側接続部からハウジングの取付穴への貫通方向と交差する方向に延びるから、内側ハーネスがハウジングの取付穴への貫通方向に延びる場合よりも、コネクタを低背化できる。
(2)前記Cリング装着溝は、前記ハウジングの外周面に周方向に延びて形成され、前記ハウジングの外周面における互いに反対側の位置に第一凸部及び第二凸部を有し、前記第一凸部の前記周方向の寸法は、前記第二凸部の前記周方向の寸法よりも小さく、前記Cリングは、前記Cリング装着溝に装着された状態で前記第一凸部に嵌合する嵌合部を有し、前記嵌合部の前記周方向の寸法は、前記第二凸部の前記周方向の寸法よりも小さいことが好ましい。このような構成によれば、嵌合部が第一凸部に嵌合する向きでのみ、CリングをCリング装着溝に装着できる。したがって、Cリングの向きを設定できる。
(3)前記ハウジングのうち複数の前記内側接続部が突出する内側端子保持面は、第一リブ及び第二リブを備え、前記第一リブは、隣接する前記内側接続部の間に設けられ、前記第二リブは、隣接する前記内側接続部の一方に対して前記第一リブと反対の位置に設けられていると良い。このような構成によれば、第一リブによって、隣接する内側接続部の短絡を防止できる。また、第一リブと第二リブとによって、内側ハーネスの延び方向を所定の範囲に制限できる。
(4)前記第一リブは、隣接する前記内側接続部のうち一方に設けられた前記締結部材の締め付け時の回転方向における先側に位置し、前記第二リブは、隣接する前記内側接続部のうち他方に設けられた前記締結部材の締め付け時の回転方向の先側に位置していると良い。このような構成によれば、第一リブは、一方の内側接続部に内側ハーネスを締結する際の回り止めとして機能する。第二リブは、他方の内側接続部に内側ハーネスを締結する際の回り止めとして機能する。したがって、内側ハーネスの接続作業を容易に行うことができる。
(5)前記内側接続部には、貫通穴が形成され、前記締結部材は、前記貫通穴に圧入された圧入ナットと、前記圧入ナットに取り付けられるボルトと、を有していると良い。このような構成によれば、圧入ナットに内側ハーネスをボルト締結することによって、内側接続部に内側ハーネスを接続できる。
(6)前記ハウジングは、前記外周面の周方向の一部から突出した外周突出部を備えていると良い。このような構成によれば、ケースに設けられた位置決め部に外周突出部を当てることによって、コネクタを所定の向きでケースに固定できる。
(7)前記端子金具は、前記内側接続部、前記外側接続部、及び前記内側接続部と前記外側接続部との間のつなぎ部を有するバスバーであると良い。このような構成によれば、インサート成形によって端子金具をハウジングに埋設できるから、コネクタを容易に製造できる。
(8)前記ハウジングは、前記ケースの外側に配置されて相手側コネクタと嵌合可能なフード部を有し、前記外側端子保持面は、前記フード部の奥面であり、複数の前記外側接続部は、前記外側端子保持面において間隔をあけて並び、前記つなぎ部は、前記外側接続部の並び方向に屈曲した屈曲部を備えていることが好ましい。このような構成によれば、複数の外側接続部の間隔を相手側コネクタの端子金具の間隔にあわせて配置し、ハウジングの内部では、つなぎ部の間隔を、外側接続部の間隔よりも小さくできる。したがって、ハウジングの外径寸法を小さくできる。
本開示のコネクタの具体例を、以下に図面を参照しつつ説明する。なお、本発明はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、請求の範囲によって示され、請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。
今回開示された実施の形態はすべての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えるべきである。
上記実施形態の場合、内側端子保持面19は、第一リブ26及び第二リブ27を備えているが、他の実施形態としては、第一リブ及び第二リブに加えて第三リブを設けてもよい。リブの数、配置、形状等は、端子金具の本数、内側接続部の形態等によって適宜変更できる。
上記実施形態の場合、Cリング装着溝14は、第一凸部32及び第二凸部33を有しているが、必ずしもCリング装着溝に第一凸部及び第二凸部を設けなくてもよい。
上記実施形態の場合、コネクタCは2本の端子金具40F,40Sを備えているが、他の実施形態として、コネクタは端子金具を1本、または3本以上を備えていてもよい。
上記実施形態の場合、第一凸部32及び第二凸部33は、Cリング装着溝14を分断しているが、他の実施形態として、第一凸部及び第二凸部は、Cリング装着溝の内周側の一部を埋めた形態をなし、Cリング装着溝は、第一凸部及び第二凸部の外周側に延びていてもよい。

- ケースに取り付けられるコネクタであって、
前記ケースに形成された取付穴を貫通するハウジングと、前記ハウジングに保持された端子金具と、前記ケースの内側において前記端子金具に接続される内側ハーネスと、前記ハウジングの外周面に装着されたCリングと、を備え、
前記ハウジングの外周面は、外周側に突出したフランジと、前記Cリングが装着されるCリング装着溝とを有し、
前記フランジと前記Cリングとは、前記ケースのうち前記取付穴の周縁部を挟み込むようになっており、
前記端子金具は、前記内側ハーネスが接続される内側接続部と、前記ハウジングから前記ケースの外側に突出する外側接続部とを有し、
前記ハウジングのうち前記外側接続部が突出する外側端子保持面には、前記外側端子保持面を覆うようにポッティング材が配置され、
前記内側接続部は、前記内側ハーネスを接続する締結部材を有し、
前記締結部材の軸線は、前記ハウジングの前記取付穴への貫通方向に延び、
前記内側ハーネスは、前記内側接続部から前記貫通方向と交差する方向に延びるように配置されるコネクタ。 - 前記Cリング装着溝は、前記ハウジングの外周面に周方向に延びて形成され、前記ハウジングの外周面における互いに反対側の位置に第一凸部及び第二凸部を有し、
前記第一凸部の前記周方向の寸法は、前記第二凸部の前記周方向の寸法よりも小さく、

前記嵌合部の前記周方向の寸法は、前記第二凸部の前記周方向の寸法よりも小さい請求項1に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記ハウジングのうち複数の前記内側接続部が突出する内側端子保持面は、第一リブ及び第二リブを備え、
前記第一リブは、隣接する前記内側接続部の間に設けられ、
前記第二リブは、隣接する前記内側接続部の一方に対して前記第一リブと反対の位置に設けられている請求項1または請求項2に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記第一リブは、隣接する前記内側接続部のうち一方に設けられた前記締結部材の締め付け時の回転方向における先側に位置し、
前記第二リブは、隣接する前記内側接続部のうち他方に設けられた前記締結部材の締め付け時の回転方向の先側に位置している請求項3に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記内側接続部には、貫通穴が形成され、
前記締結部材は、前記貫通穴に圧入された圧入ナットと、前記圧入ナットに取り付けられるボルトと、を有している請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。 - 前記ハウジングは、前記外周面の周方向の一部から突出した外周突出部を備えている請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記端子金具は、前記内側接続部、前記外側接続部、及び前記内側接続部と前記外側接続部との間のつなぎ部を有するバスバーである請求項1から請求項6のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記ハウジングは、前記ケースの外側に配置されて相手側コネクタと嵌合可能なフード部を有し、
前記外側端子保持面は、前記フード部の奥面であり、
複数の前記外側接続部は、前記外側端子保持面において間隔をあけて並び、
前記つなぎ部は、前記外側接続部の並び方向に屈曲した屈曲部を備えている請求項7に記載のコネクタ。
