ラベル貼付システム1の構成を、図1に基づき説明する。ラベル貼付システム1は、容器にラベルを貼付するシステムである。容器は物体に対応する。図1における右方向を方向R、図1における左方向を方向L、図1における下方向を方向B、図1における上方向を方向F、図1において紙面に直交し、手前に向かう方向を方向U、図1において紙面に直交し、奥に向かう方向を方向Dとする。方向Uは鉛直上向きである。方向Dは鉛直下向きである。
搬送装置5の構成を、図1~図12に基づき説明する。搬送装置5は、レールユニット21と、複数の保持ユニット23と、ガイド25と、を備える。
搬送装置5が実行する処理を説明する。容器導入装置3は、容器101を、搬送装置5における導入位置15に導入する。容器101は、例えば、円筒形状の胴部を備える。導入位置15は、搬送装置5のうち、方向Bの側であり、方向Lの側にある位置である。導入位置15において、保持ユニット23は、図7に示すように、ガイド25との間に1つの容器101を保持する。
物品選別装置9の構成を、図13~図15に基づき説明する。図13~図15に示すように、物品選別装置9は回転テーブル71を備える。回転テーブル71は円板状の形態を有する。回転テーブル71における回転軸は方向U、Dに平行である。回転テーブル71は図13、図14に示すY方向に回転可能である。
物品選別装置9が実行する処理を説明する。ここでは、任意に選択された1つのポケット73に着目する。いずれのポケット73も、同様の動作を行うことができる。回転テーブル71は一定の速度でY方向に回転している。ポケット73も、一定の速度でY方向に回転している。ポケット73の周方向における位置が、図13、図14に示す導入位置107に来たとき、保持ユニット23は、搬送してきた容器101をポケット73に導入する。すなわち、導入位置107は、容器101をポケット73に導入する位置である。ポケット73は、導入された容器101を保持する。ガイド103は、容器101がポケット73から脱落することを抑制する。
(1A)搬送装置5は、上方変位状態と、下方変位状態とになることができる。上方変位状態である場合におけるガイド25と下部ローラー59A、59Bとの距離は、下方変位状態である場合におけるガイド25と上部ローラー57A、57Bとの距離よりも小さい。
(1F)物品選別装置9は、ポケット73の周方向における位置が、導入位置107を通過してから選別位置105に到達するまでに、ポケット73の径方向における位置を、第1位置、及び第2位置のうち、指定された位置に制御する。第1位置は、カムフォロア89が当接面93Bに接しながら進むときのポケット73の位置である。第2位置は、カムフォロア89が当接面93Cに接しながら進むときのポケット73の位置である。

前記回転テーブルの外周部に、径方向における位置を変更可能に取付けられ、物品を保持するように構成されたポケットと、
前記ポケットよりも径方向外側に設けられ、前記物品が前記ポケットから脱落することを抑制するように構成されたガイドと、
前記ポケットの周方向における位置が、前記物品が前記ポケットに導入される導入位置を通過してから選別位置に到達するまでに、前記ポケットの径方向における位置を、第1位置、及び前記第1位置よりも径方向外側にある第2位置のうち、指定された位置に制御するように構成された位置制御ユニットと、
前記ポケットの周方向における位置が前記選別位置に到達したとき、前記ポケットの径方向における位置が前記第1位置である場合と、前記第2位置である場合とで、異なる経路に前記物品を案内するように構成された選別ユニットと、
を備える、

前記ポケットに対し固定されたカムフォロアと、
前記カムフォロアと接するカムと、をさらに備え、
