Definitions
- the present invention relates to a water-in-oil cosmetic composition with maximized moisture and refreshing feeling, and more particularly, by including organic modified clay minerals and polar oil containing one or more ester groups in a specific content, emulsification even without a separate emulsifier It relates to a water-in-oil cosmetic composition that can maintain the stability of particles, form a water drop while reducing skin irritation upon application, improve visual aesthetics, and maximize moisture and refreshing feeling.
- Cosmetics have a function of protecting the skin from external factors such as ultraviolet rays and environmental pollution and delaying aging.
- Most cosmetics exist in a state in which an aqueous phase is dispersed in an oil phase or an oil phase is dispersed in an aqueous phase.
- an emulsifier surfactant
- An emulsifier is a molecule having an amphiphilic structure consisting of a hydrophilic group that is easily affinity to water and a hydrophobic group that is easy to be compatible with oil.
- the emulsifier is located at the interface between the oil phase and the water phase to lower the interfacial tension, and forms an oil/water interface film at the phase boundary to prevent particles from coalescing with each other.
- Emulsifiers can be classified according to various properties such as use, performance, chemical structure, etc. In general, they are divided into ionic and nonionic according to their dissociation in water. Ionic emulsifiers that dissociate when dissolved in water are again divided into anions, cations and amphoteric emulsifiers. A representative example of an anion is a fatty acid salt, soap, and a representative example of a cation is a quaternary ammonium compound. In addition, nonionic emulsifiers that do not dissociate into ions when dissolved in water have various hydrophilic parts such as glycerol, polyglycerol, sorbitan, polyoxyethylene glycol, etc. there is.
- emulsifiers Although many commercially available emulsifiers are used with safety approval, nevertheless, emulsifiers cause interfacial action in skin cells and destroy the phospholipid layer, and thus may cause skin irritation or allergies. When the lipid layer is lost, the barrier weakens and skin permeability increases. The barrier layer with increased permeability loses moisture easily, resulting in dull and dry skin. In addition, the penetration of foreign substances is facilitated, which causes a sensitive skin reaction such as an allergy.
- the stability of the emulsified particles is maintained even without a separate emulsifier, and the water-in-oil type cosmetic composition can improve visual aesthetics by forming water drops while minimizing skin irritation during application, and maximizing moisture and refreshing feeling.
- One object of the present invention is to maintain the stability of the emulsified particles even without a separate emulsifier by including organically modified clay minerals and polar oil containing one or more ester groups in a specific amount, thereby minimizing skin irritation during application. Description
