Definitions

  • the present invention refers to a differential pedaling system. Inserted in the technical field of mechanical engineering, more precisely in systems for improving the use of mechanical energy applied to human-powered vehicles, the apparatus consists of an angled counterweight juxtaposed to the transmission system of bicycles/tricycles and the like.
  • the developed set can be adapted in existing equipment or manufactured in new models. Allowing great accessibility and applicability of technology.
  • CN1080901A discloses a mechanism to keep the left pedal in the third quadrant of the rectangular coordinate system. Your principle is that two pedals, two larger cranks, two crank studs, center axle and sprocket are integrated into a whole and the center of gravity which is originally on the axle centerline is offset by counterweight.
  • TW201236891 provides a counterweight, which is adapted for a bicycle wheel, comprises a connecting part and two counterweight parts.
  • the connecting part is made of a bendable material.
  • the counterweight portions respectively connect to two distal ends of the connecting portion. In this way, users can bend the connecting part to attach the counterweight to the bicycle wheel and thus counterbalance an eccentric wheel structure.

  • CP refers to a counterweight
  • P to a generic pedal
  • E to region in which an axis will be inserted to transmit the movement.
  • FIG. 2 identifies the same apparatus (1), in front view. Detailed description of the invention:
  • the intelligent pedaling system is used from the insertion of the apparatus (1) on the crown axis of human-powered vehicles.
  • an apparatus (1) is required for each side of the vehicle (bicycle, tricycle, pedal boat, etc.)
  • the apparatus (1) has a central region (E) for inserting the crown axle of the bicycle or similar vehicle.
  • Counterweight (CP) can be produced in different designs and shapes, especially from materials with a high specific weight, such as lead.
  • the counterweight (CP) has the function of returning the pedal to a higher vertical position, after the cyclist exerts a downward force on it. From these mechanisms it will not be necessary to make the classic circular movement to pedal, but an "up and down” movement. These changes serve to optimize the user's effort with the aid of gravity and also prevent wear and tear and injuries in the knee region.
