Abstract

본 실시예들은, 양극 활물질 및 이를 포함하는 리튬 이차 전지에 관한 것이다. 일 실시예에 따르면, 하기 화학식 1로 표시되는 리튬 금속 산화물이고, 상기 리튬 금속 산화물 입자의 중심과 표면에서 Mg의 농도 차이가 1mol% 이하이며, 상기 리튬 금속 산화물 입자의 평균 입경(D50)은 10 ㎛ 내지 20㎛인 리튬 이차 전지용 양극 활물질을 제공할 수 있다. [화학식 1] (상기 화학식 1에서, M은 코발트 및 망간 중 적어도 하나를 포함하고 a는 0.95 ≤ a ≤ 1.15, x는 0.80 ≤ x ≤ 0.98, y는 0 < y ≤ 0.2임)
