この構成によれば、側面視で、ヘッドパイプの後方でキーユニットの下方に配置され、かつ、メインフレームの上方でカウル部材の前方に配置された制御装置を備えることで、以下の効果を奏する。制御装置がヘッドパイプの後方でキーユニットの下方に配置されることで、キーユニットの下方の空間を有効活用して制御装置を配置することができる。すなわち、ヘッドパイプの側方に制御装置の配置スペースを確保することを要しない。したがって、制御装置をヘッドパイプの側方に配置した場合と比較して、車両前部の幅の大型化を抑制することができる。加えて、制御装置が、ヘッドパイプ、キーユニット、メインフレームおよびカウル部材で囲まれるため、制御装置を外的要因から保護することができる。加えて、制御装置が後方からカウル部材で覆われるため、盗難されにくい。加えて、制御装置を車両後部に配置した場合と比較して、前方の電装品(例えばヘッドライト)と制御装置との距離が近くなるため、ハーネスの短縮に寄与する。加えて、制御装置がスマートECUの場合、乗員との通信距離を短くすることができる。

図1は、鞍乗り型電動車両の一例として、ユニットスイング式の自動二輪車1を示す。図1を参照し、自動二輪車1は、前輪3と、後輪4と、を備える。前輪3は、ハンドル2によって操向される。後輪4は、動力源を含むパワーユニット10(スイングユニット)によって駆動される。以下、自動二輪車を単に「車両」ともいうことがある。自動二輪車1は、シート8に着座した乗員5が足を載せるステップフロア9を有する。実施形態の自動二輪車1は、スクータ型の車両である。
メインフレーム13は、ヘッドパイプ12の上下中央位置に接続されている。メインフレーム13は、ヘッドパイプ12から斜め後下方へ延びている。
図示はしないが、左右ロアフレーム14および左右シートフレーム15の適所には、各フレームの車幅方向間をわたすように車幅方向に延びるクロスメンバが設けられている。
フロントサイドカバー22は、フロントセンターカバー21の側方に左右一対設けられている。フロントサイドカバー22は、ヘッドパイプ周りを前外側方から覆っている。
レッグシールド23は、乗員5の脚部と対向する位置に左右一対設けられている。
フロアフロントカバー25は、フロントサイドカバー22の後下方に連なるように左右一対設けられている。
フロアサイドカバー26は、フロアフロントカバー25の下部後方に連なるように左右一対設けられている。
センターサイドカバー28は、フロントインナーカバー24の下部後方に連なっている。センターサイドカバー28は、センタートンネル19の後部側面を形成するように左右一対設けられている。
リアサイドカバー29は、センターアッパーカバー27およびセンターサイドカバー28の後方に連なるように左右一対設けられている。リアサイドカバー29は、車体後部を側方から覆っている。
図1に示すように、制御装置50は、車両前部に配置されている。例えば、制御装置50は、ヘッドパイプ周辺に設けられたヘッドライト35および左右ウインカなどの電装品(操作系部品)を制御する。図示はしないが、エンジンを含むパワーユニット10(エンジン系部品)を制御するECUは、車両後部に設けられている。実施形態において、操作系部品の制御装置50とエンジン系部品の制御装置(ECU)とは、車両前後で別に設けられている。
側面視で、第一傾斜部45aは、キーユニット30を後方から覆うように下側ほど前方に位置するように傾斜している。
側面視で、第二傾斜部45bは、第一傾斜部45aの下端からメインフレーム13に向けて前下方に傾斜している。第二傾斜部45bは、支持部材60と第一カウル45との接続部位48を形成している。
側面視で、第三傾斜部45cは、第二傾斜部45bの下端からメインフレーム13に沿うように後下方に傾斜している。
第二カウル46は、支持部材60と第一カウル45との接続部位48を後方から覆っている。第二カウル46によって、接続部位48が外部に露出することを回避することができるため、外観性が向上する。
前後壁部71,72は、それぞれ車幅方向に延在している。前壁部71は、制御装置50の下部前面に当接する。後壁部72は、制御装置50の下部後面に当接する。
左右壁部73,74は、それぞれ前後壁部71,72の左右側端を接続している。左壁部73は、制御装置50の下部左側面に当接する。右壁部74は、制御装置50の下部右側面に当接する。左右壁部73,74のそれぞれには、支持部材60を差し込むための差込孔75が形成されている。差込孔75は、前後壁部71,72の対向方向(概ね前後方向)に開口している。
側面視で、制御装置50は、マフラ17よりも上方に配置されている。図6において符号HLは、マフラ17の排気口の上端17eを通る水平線(以下「仮想水平線」ともいう。)を示す。側面視で、制御装置50は、仮想水平線HLよりも上方に配置されている。
本実施形態によれば、側面視で、ヘッドパイプ12の後方でキーユニット30の下方に配置され、かつ、メインフレーム13の上方でカウル部材40の前方に配置された制御装置50を備えることで、以下の効果を奏する。制御装置50がヘッドパイプ12の後方でキーユニット30の下方に配置されることで、キーユニット30の下方の空間を有効活用して制御装置50を配置することができる。すなわち、ヘッドパイプ12の側方に制御装置50の配置スペースを確保することを要しない。したがって、制御装置50をヘッドパイプ12の側方に配置した場合と比較して、車両前部の幅の大型化を抑制することができる。加えて、制御装置50が、ヘッドパイプ12、キーユニット30、メインフレーム13およびカウル部材40で囲まれるため、制御装置50を外的要因から保護することができる。加えて、制御装置50が後方からカウル部材40で覆われるため、盗難されにくい。加えて、制御装置50を車両後部に配置した場合と比較して、前方の電装品(例えばヘッドライト35)と制御装置50との距離が近くなるため、ハーネス51の短縮に寄与する。加えて、制御装置50がスマートECUの場合、乗員5との通信距離を短くすることができる。
上記実施形態では、操作系部品の制御装置50とエンジン系部品の制御装置(ECU)とが、車両前後で別に設けられている例を挙げて説明したが、これに限らない。例えば、操作系部品の制御装置50とエンジン系部品の制御装置(ECU)とが、一体に設けられていてもよい。例えば、一体の制御装置が、側面視で、ヘッドパイプ12の後方でキーユニット30の下方に配置され、かつ、メインフレーム13の上方でカウル部材40の前方に配置されていてもよい。
そして、上記実施形態における構成は本発明の一例であり、実施形態の構成要素を周知の構成要素に置き換える等、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の変更が可能である。

- 車両(1)の前部に位置するヘッドパイプ(12)と、
前記ヘッドパイプ(12)から下方に延びるメインフレーム(13)と、
前記ヘッドパイプ(12)の後方に位置するキーユニット(30)と、
前記キーユニット(30)を後方から覆うカウル部材(40)と、
側面視で、前記ヘッドパイプ(12)の後方で前記キーユニット(30)の下方に配置され、かつ、前記メインフレーム(13)の上方で前記カウル部材(40)の前方に配置された制御装置(50)と、を備えることを特徴とする鞍乗型車両の制御装置配置構造。 - 側面視で、前記制御装置(50)は、前記キーユニット(30)の後端(30e)と前記ヘッドパイプ(12)との間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鞍乗型車両の制御装置配置構造。
- 前記制御装置(50)を支持可能に前記カウル部材(40)から延びる支持部材(60)を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の鞍乗型車両の制御装置配置構造。
- 前記制御装置(50)は、車両上下方向に沿う長辺(50L)を有することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の鞍乗型車両の制御装置配置構造。
- 前記制御装置(50)を支持する弾性部材(70)と、
前記弾性部材(70)を支持可能に前記カウル部材(40)から延びる支持部材(60)と、を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の鞍乗型車両の制御装置配置構造。 - 側面視で、前記制御装置(50)は、マフラ(17)よりも上方に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の鞍乗型車両の制御装置配置構造。
