Abstract

La présente invention concerne un élément en acier nitruré dans lequel un acier au carbone ayant une teneur en carbone de 0,10 % en masse ou plus ou un acier faiblement allié constitue une phase parent et une couche de composé de nitrure de fer est formée sur la surface de la phase parent, l'élément en acier nitruré étant caractérisé en ce que l'épaisseur de la couche de composé de nitrure de fer est supérieure ou égale à 13 µm, la valeur Vaγ'/(Vaε+Vaγ') est supérieure ou égale à 0,5 ou plus, Vaγ' et Vaε représentant respectivement le rapport volumique d'une phase γ' et le rapport volumique d'une phase ε dans la totalité de la région de la couche de composé de nitrure de fer, et la valeur (Vbγ/(Vbε + Vbγ') est supérieure ou égale à 0,2 lorsque Vbγ' et Vbε représentent respectivement le rapport volumique d'une phase γ' et le rapport volumique d'une phase ε dans une région la plus basse de la couche de composé de nitrure de fer lorsque la couche de composé de nitrure de fer est divisée en quatre régions dans le sens de la profondeur.
