Definitions
- the present invention relates to a technique for improving lymph circulation.
- the lymphatic system begins with capillary lymphatics that absorb tissue fluid present in the interstitial space, continues to the collecting lymphatics, and then to the thick lymphatic trunk (such as the thoracic duct), then the venous horn (the subclavian and internal jugular veins meet) Part) is connected to the vein. Therefore, unlike the vascular system that constitutes the closed circulatory system, the lymphatic system is semicircular. Lymphatic circulation refers to the flow of lymph in the lymphatic system and is synonymous with lymphatic transport.
- lymphatic circulatory disturbance a worsening of the flow of lymph fluid
- fluid containing a large amount of protein accumulates in the cell gap, resulting in lymphedema.
- lymphedema develops, immunity is reduced, and bacteria and other infections may be caused by slight trauma, causing acute inflammation (cellulitis or lymphangitis).
- lymphedema may develop when the lymph nodes near the lesion are removed with the treatment of breast cancer, uterine cancer, prostate cancer, etc., and its onset significantly reduces the patient's QOL.
- lymphedema develops, it is not easy to cure, and it is very difficult to improve the symptoms once the chronic phase begins, when changes in the subcutaneous tissue (the condition where the surface of the skin becomes hard is called elephant dermatosis) begins. Therefore, appropriate self-care is necessary from an early stage.
- lymphedema treatment Yes There have been few reports on compositions for improving lymphedema orally.
- lymphatic system in which lymphocytes (immune cells) circulate plays an important role as a place of biological defense.
- antigens such as foreign substances (proteins) and bacteria in the lymph are blocked and taken up by macrophages and dendritic cells to transmit antigen information to the immune system. Therefore, improvement of lymphatic circulation is considered important for improving immune function.
- EPA eicosapentaenoic acid
- DHA docosahexaenoic acid
- EPA is known to have an improving effect on dyslipidemia (hyperlipidemia) such as hypertriglyceridemia. Therefore, these highly unsaturated fatty acids are widely used as pharmaceuticals, health foods, food materials and the like.
- ethyl esters of highly unsaturated fatty acids are used, and when used as health foods, they are often used as triglycerides such as purified fish oil.
- medium chain fatty acids are fatty acids that are well absorbed, there is a report of increasing the absorption of highly unsaturated fatty acids by using triglycerides containing highly unsaturated fatty acids and medium chain fatty acids.
- Patent Document 1 contains 1 to 20% fatty acid having 20 to 22 carbon atoms, 30 to 50% fatty acid having 14 to 18 carbon atoms, and 40 to 60% fatty acid having 6 to 12 carbon atoms as constituent fatty acids.
- Compositions containing triglycerides and suitable for parenteral administration, which can be used for the treatment or prevention of arteriosclerosis, hyperlipidemia are described.
- Patent Document 2 describes that triglycerides obtained by transesterifying fish oil and medium-chain fatty acid triglycerides are rapidly absorbed, and thus are suitable as nutritional substitutes for patients with reduced infection resistance.
- Patent Document 3 describes an oil and fat composition having a blood lipid regulating function, which is a triglyceride containing 5 to 55% of an n-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid and 2 to 40% of a medium-chain fatty acid.
- a blood lipid regulating function which is a triglyceride containing 5 to 55% of an n-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid and 2 to 40% of a medium-chain fatty acid.
- Patent Documents 4 to 6 from the knowledge that fatty acids bonded to the 1st and 3rd positions of triglycerides are not easily decomposed and absorbed by lipase, highly unsaturated fatty acids are bonded to the 2nd position, and the medium chain is located at the 1st and 3rd positions. It is described that triglycerides combined with fatty acids are suitable as an infusion or enteral nutrient for patients with reduced absorption.
- Patent Document 7 when triglyceride having a fatty acid derived from fish oil containing EPA and a medium chain fatty acid as a constituent fatty acid is ingested, it is compared with a mixed oil of purified fish oil and a triglyceride having a medium chain fatty acid as a constituent fatty acid. Is absorbed quickly and can maintain a high blood EPA concentration.
- JP 63-154618 A Japanese Patent No. 2722229 JP 2001-226893 A U.S. Pat. No. 4,607,052 WO88 / 09325 WO90 / 04010 WO2015 / 050071
- An object of the present invention is to provide means for alleviating various symptoms associated with stagnation of lymph circulation.
- the inventors of the present invention evaluated the lymph fluid flow rate when ingesting various diets using semipermanent thoracic lymph cannulation model rats. Unexpectedly, intake of a diet containing highly unsaturated fatty acids increased lymph fluid flow rate. I found out that Furthermore, it has been found that the increase in the flow rate of the lymph fluid is more remarkable when a triglyceride containing a highly unsaturated fatty acid and a medium chain fatty acid in one molecule is ingested as a constituent fatty acid. The present inventors have further studied based on these findings and have completed the present invention.
- the present invention is as follows.
- a composition for improving lymph circulation comprising a component selected from polyunsaturated fatty acids, salts thereof and esters thereof as an active ingredient.
- a component selected from polyunsaturated fatty acids, salts thereof and esters thereof as an active ingredient.
- the composition according to [1] further comprising as an active ingredient a component selected from medium chain fatty acids, salts thereof and esters thereof.
- the active ingredient is a triglyceride containing a highly unsaturated fatty acid as a constituent fatty acid and a triglyceride containing a medium chain fatty acid as a constituent fatty acid.
- the highly unsaturated fatty acid is 10 to 70% by weight and the medium chain fatty acid is 20 to 70% by weight in the fatty acid composition of the composition.

Abstract
