Description

変位検出装置
 本発明は、変位検出装置に関し、特に、複数の磁気センサによって磁石の変位を検出する変位検出装置に関する。
 変位検出装置の構成を開示した先行文献として、特開2014-145714号公報(特許文献1)、特開2002-22403号公報(特許文献2)および特開2002-277308号公報(特許文献3)がある。
 特許文献1に記載された液面レベル検出装置は、タンクに貯蔵された液体の液面レベルに応じて上下方向に移動する磁石と、上下方向に互いに間隔をあけて順次並べて配置された複数の磁気センサとを備える。
 特許文献2に記載された変位検出器は、磁石の軌道と平行となるように複数のホール素子を互いに間隔をあけて配設している。
 特許文献3に記載された液面レベル検出装置は、液面に追従して昇降するフロートと、フロートに取り付けられた永久磁石と、永久磁石の昇降位置に応じて変化する磁束密度を検出する複数の磁気センサとを備える。

 特許文献1に記載された液面レベル検出装置においては、複数の磁気センサの温度特性のばらつきについては考慮されていない。
 特許文献2には、複数のホール素子の素子感度のばらつきによる検出誤差を、適宜の補正方法を適用することによって小さくすることができると記載されているが、具体的な補正方法に関する記載はない。
 特許文献3には、磁気センサの温度特性については記載されているが、複数の磁気センサの温度特性のばらつきについては記載されていない。
 本発明は上記の問題点に鑑みてなされたものであって、複数の磁気センサの温度特性のばらつきによる検出誤差を低減できる変位検出装置を提供することを目的とする。
 本発明に基づく変位検出装置は、複数の磁気センサと、磁石とを備える。複数の磁気センサは、第1の方向に沿って並んで配置されている。磁石は、第1の方向に沿って移動可能に設けられている。磁気センサにおいて、第1温度下での磁石からの印加磁界と検出値との相関関数における磁石からの印加磁界が0である時の検出値を第1オフセット値とし、上記第1温度より高い第2温度下での磁石からの印加磁界と検出値との相関関数における磁石からの印加磁界が0である時の検出値を第2オフセット値とする。複数の磁気センサは、磁石からの印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出する1組の磁気センサを含む。この1組の磁気センサの一方が第2オフセット値から第1オフセット値を引いた値が正である第1磁気センサであり、他方が第2オフセット値から第1オフセット値を引いた値が負である第2磁気センサである。

 以下、本発明の一実施形態に係る変位検出装置について図を参照して説明する。以下の実施形態の説明においては、図中の同一または相当部分には同一符号を付して、その説明は繰り返さない。本実施形態においては、液面計として用いられる変位検出装置について説明するが、変位検出装置の用途は、液面計に限られず、たとえば、工作機械のシリンダの位置検出装置として用いられてもよい。
 図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係る変位検出装置の構成を示す断面図である。図1に示すように、本発明の一実施形態に係る変位検出装置100は、基板110と、複数の磁気センサH0~H10と、磁石121と、制御部111とを備える。Z軸方向は第1の方向であり、X軸方向は第2の方向である。
 基板110は、矩形状の外形を有し、鉛直方向(Z軸方向)に沿う長手方向、および、水平方向(X軸方向)に沿う短手方向を有する。基板110の第1の面上に、磁気センサH0~H10および制御部111が、Z軸方向に並んで設けられている。
 磁気センサH0~H10は、下から、磁気センサH0、磁気センサH1、磁気センサH2、磁気センサH3、磁気センサH4、磁気センサH5、磁気センサH6、磁気センサH7、磁気センサH8、磁気センサH9および磁気センサH10の順に、直線状に並んで配置されている。磁気センサH10の上方に、制御部111が配置されている。磁気センサH0~H10の各々は、制御部111と電気的に接続されている。磁気センサH0~H10の各々は、電圧値を出力する。制御部111は、磁気センサH0~H10の各々が出力する電圧値を検出する。
 磁気センサH0~H10の各々は、Z軸方向の磁界を検出する。磁気センサH0~H10の各々は、4つのAMR(Anisotropic Magneto Resistance)素子からなるホイートストンブリッジ型のブリッジ回路を有する。AMR素子は、磁気抵抗素子である。なお、磁気センサH0~H10の各々が、AMR素子に代えて、GMR(Giant Magneto Resistance)素子、TMR(Tunnel Magneto Resistance)素子、BMR(Ballistic Magneto Resistance)素子、CMR(Colossal Magneto Resistance)素子などの磁気抵抗素子を有していてもよい。
 また、磁気センサH0~H10の各々が、2つの磁気抵抗素子からなるハーフブリッジ回路を有していてもよい。その他にも、磁気センサH0~H10の各々として、ホール素子を有する磁気センサ、磁気インピーダンス効果を利用するMI(Magneto Impedance)素子を有する磁気センサまたはフラックスゲート型磁気センサなどを用いることができる。
 基板110は、図示しない円柱状のハウジング内に収容されている。ハウジングの周囲には、液体が配置されている。この液体は液面Sの高さが変化する。本発明の一実施形態に係る変位検出装置は、液面Sの高さを検出する。ハウジングは、測定対象の液面Sの下方に位置する部分と、液面Sの上方に位置する部分とを有するように、Z軸方向に延在している。
 フロート120は、円環状の外形を有している。フロート120の孔は、上記ハウジングに挿通されている。フロート120は、ハウジングに沿って、液面Sに追従して昇降する可動部材である。フロート120の可動領域に、磁気センサH0~H10が位置している。
 磁石121は、フロート120に一体に設けられている。磁石121は、円環状の外形を有している。磁石121は、フロート120の内部に収容されている。磁石121は、フロート120の昇降により磁気センサH0~H10の並んでいるZ軸方向に沿って移動可能に設けられている。磁石121は、磁石121の周りを磁石121の内周側から外周側に向かう磁界122を形成する。
 磁石121は、焼結磁石、ボンド磁石または薄膜で構成されていてもよい。磁石121の種類は、特に限定されず、フェライト磁石、サマリウムコバルト磁石、アルニコ磁石またはネオジム磁石などを用いることができる。本発明の一実施形態に係る変位検出装置は、磁石121のZ軸方向における変位を、磁気センサH0~H10により検出し、液面Sの高さを検出するものである。
 図2は、本発明の一実施形態に係る変位検出装置が備える磁気センサの検出値を示すグラフである。図2においては、縦軸に磁気センサH0~H10の各々の検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に磁気センサH0~H10の各々のZ軸方向の位置を示している。ここで、Z軸方向の位置を高さとする。
 図1および図2に示すように、液面Sの高さが、磁気センサH5の高さと略同一であるとき、磁気センサH5の検出値は略0となり、磁気センサH4の検出値と磁気センサH6の検出値とが、互いに逆極性となる。すなわち、磁気センサH4と磁気センサH6とは、磁石121の形成する磁界122、言い換えれば、磁石121からの印加磁界である磁界122を検出磁界方向においてを互いに逆極性で検出する。ここで検出磁界方向はZ軸方向である。
 このとき、磁気センサH4は液面Sよりも下にあり、磁気センサH6は液面Sよりも上にある。すなわち、磁石121からの印加磁界である磁界122を検出磁界方向であるZ軸方向において互いに逆極性で検出する磁気センサH4と磁気センサH6とは、一方が液面Sよりも下にあり、他方が液面Sよりも上にある関係にある。
 ここで、磁石121からの印加磁界である磁界122を検出磁界方向であるZ軸方向において互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの検出値と、この2つの磁気センサの高さとの関係を、直線近似することにより液面の高さを推定する方法について説明する。ただし、磁石121からの印加磁界である磁界122を検出磁界方向であるZ軸方向において互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの検出値と、この2つの磁気センサの高さとの関係から、液面の高さを推定するアルゴリズムは、直線近似に限られず、種々の公知のアルゴリズムを用いることができる。また、3つ以上の磁気センサの検出値と、この3つ以上の磁気センサの高さとの関係から、液面の高さを推定するようにしてもよい。
 図3は、磁石からの印加磁界を検出磁界方向であるZ軸方向において互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの検出値と、この2つの磁気センサの高さとの関係を、直線近似することにより液面の高さを推定する方法を、説明する図である。図3においては、縦軸に磁気センサA,Bの各々のZ軸方向の位置を示し、横軸に磁気センサA,Bの各々の検出値(Vout)を示している。
 図3に示すように、磁気センサAの検出値をVa、磁気センサAの高さをHa、磁気センサBの検出値をVb、磁気センサBの高さをHbとし、磁気センサA,Bの検出値と高さとの関係を、下記の式(1)を満たす直線L1で近似すると、液面Sの高さHpを求めることができる。なお、検出値Vaは負の値であり、検出値Vbは正の値である。

 制御部111は、たとえば上記の方法により、磁気センサH0~H10のうち、磁石121の形成する磁界122を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの検出結果から、磁気センサH0~H10の並んでいる方向であるZ軸方向における磁石121の変位を検出する。つまり、磁気センサA,Bが磁石121からの印加磁界を検出磁界方向であるZ軸方向において互いに逆極性で検出している場合、磁石121は磁気センサA,Bの間の高さにあるため、磁気センサA,Bが出力する電圧値によって、制御部111は磁石121の変位を検出できる。
 次に、磁気センサの温度特性について説明する。
 図4は、磁石からの印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの第1温度下での印加磁界と検出値との相関関数を示すグラフである。印加磁界は、検出磁界方向の印加磁界である。図4においては、縦軸に磁気センサA,Bの各々の検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図4においては、磁気センサAの相関関数を実線で、磁気センサBの相関関数を点線で示している。なお、図4において第1温度は25℃である。
 図4に示すように、第1温度下において、磁気センサAの相関関数を示す直線と、磁気センサBの相関関数を示す直線とは、略平行である。検出磁界方向の印加磁界が0である時、磁気センサAの検出値はVoAであり、磁気センサBの検出値はVoBである。このように、複数の磁気センサの各々は、第1温度下において検出磁界方向の印加磁界が0である時の特有の検出値を有している。
 そこで、複数の磁気センサの各々において、第1温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数が0点を通過するように0点合わせを行なうための、第1オフセット値が設定される。磁気センサAの第1オフセット値はVoAであり、磁気センサBの第1オフセット値はVoBである。
 第1温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数が0点合わせされた磁気センサが、第1温度より高い第2温度下に置かれた場合、一般的には、磁気センサを構成する磁性材料の温度特性によって、検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数の傾きが変化する。
 図5は、第1温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数が0点合わせされた磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図5においては、縦軸に検出磁界方向の磁気センサの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図5においては、第1温度下での磁気センサの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での磁気センサの相関関数を点線で示している。なお、図5において第1温度は25℃であり、第2温度は125℃である。
 図5に示すように、第2温度下における磁気センサの相関関数を示す直線の傾きは、第1温度下における磁気センサの相関関数を示す直線の傾きより小さい。すなわち、磁気センサの感度は、第1温度下に比較して、第2温度下では低下している。
 図5に示す例においては、第2温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数は、0点を通過しており、第2温度下において検出磁界方向の印加磁界が0である時の検出値は0である。よって、図5に示す例においては、第2温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数が0点を通過するように0点合わせを行なうための、磁気センサの第2オフセット値が設定された場合、第2オフセット値は、第1オフセット値と同一の値となる。すなわち、第2オフセット値から第1オフセット値を引いた値(Δoffset)は、0となる。
 後述するように、複数の磁気センサの全てにおいて、第2オフセット値を、第1オフセット値と同一の値とすることは困難である。そのため、磁気センサH0~H10は、第2オフセット値から第1オフセット値を引いた値(Δoffset)が正である第1磁気センサと、第2オフセット値から第1オフセット値を引いた値(Δoffset)が負である第2磁気センサとを含む。
 図6は、第1温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数が0点合わせされた第1磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図6においては、縦軸に第1磁気センサの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図6においては、第1温度下での第1磁気センサの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での第1磁気センサの相関関数を点線で示している。
 図7は、第1温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数が0点合わせされた第2磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図7においては、縦軸に第2磁気センサの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図7においては、第1温度下での第2磁気センサの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での第2磁気センサの相関関数を点線で示している。
 図6に示すように、図5に示す例と同様に、第2温度下における第1磁気センサの相関関数を示す直線の傾きは、第1温度下における第1磁気センサの相関関数を示す直線の傾きより小さい。すなわち、第1磁気センサの感度は、第1温度下に比較して、第2温度下では低下している。
 第2オフセット値から第1オフセット値を引いた値(Δoffset)が正であり、第1温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数が0点合わせされた第1磁気センサにおいては、第2温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界が0である時の検出値はΔoffsetとなる。
 図7に示すように、図5に示す例と同様に、第2温度下における第2磁気センサの相関関数を示す直線の傾きは、第1温度下における第2磁気センサの相関関数を示す直線の傾きより小さい。すなわち、第2磁気センサの感度は、第1温度下に比較して、第2温度下では低下している。
 第2オフセット値から第1オフセット値を引いた値(Δoffset)が負であり、第1温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界と検出値との相関関数が0点合わせされた第2磁気センサにおいては、第2温度下での検出磁界方向の印加磁界が0である時の検出値はΔoffsetとなる。
 ここで、複数の磁気センサにおいて、第2オフセット値から第1オフセット値を引いた値(Δoffset)に、ばらつきが生じる原因の一例について説明する。
 図8は、本発明の一実施形態に係る変位検出装置が備える複数の磁気センサの各々の構成を示す平面図である。図8に示すように、本実施形態においては、磁気センサH0~H10の各々は、ホイートストンブリッジ型のブリッジ回路1を構成する、第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4を含む。
 具体的には、第1AMR素子R1および第2AMR素子R2の直列接続体と、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の直列接続体とが、電源端子Vccと接地端子GNDとの間に並列接続されている。第1AMR素子R1と第2AMR素子R2との接続点には、第1の出力端子Vが接続される。第3AMR素子R3と第4AMR素子R4との接続点には、第2の出力端子Vが接続される。これにより、ブリッジ回路1に、駆動電圧(Vdd)が印加可能とされている。
 第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の各々は、電流が流れる電流経路の長手方向が互いに平行になるようにつづら折り形状の磁性体パターンを有している。第1AMR素子R1の電流経路の長手方向と第4AMR素子R4の電流経路の長手方向とは、互いに平行になるように配置されている。第2AMR素子R2の電流経路の長手方向と第3AMR素子R3の電流経路の長手方向とは、互いに平行になるように配置されている。第2AMR素子R2の電流経路および第3AMR素子R3の電流経路の長手方向は、第1AMR素子R1の電流経路および第4AMR素子R4の電流経路の長手方向に対して、直交している。
 第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の各々の磁性体パターンは、たとえば、パーマロイからなる薄膜をパターニングすることにより形成される。
 ブリッジ回路1を間に挟むように、第1バイアス磁石2aと第2バイアス磁石2bとが、互いに間隔をあけて配置されている。第1バイアス磁石2aおよび第2バイアス磁石2bの各々は、四角柱状の形状を有している。第1バイアス磁石2aのN極と第2バイアス磁石2bのS極とが、互いに対向している。なお、第1バイアス磁石2aのS極と第2バイアス磁石2bのN極とが、互いに対向していてもよい。
 第1バイアス磁石2aおよび第2バイアス磁石2bの各々の材料として、等方性フェライト、異方性フェライト、サマリウムコバルト、アルニコまたはネオジムなどを用いることができる。第1バイアス磁石2aおよび第2バイアス磁石2bの各々は、焼結磁石、ボンド磁石または薄膜で構成されていてもよい。
 第1バイアス磁石2aと第2バイアス磁石2bとの間に発生するバイアス磁界の方向は、第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の各々の電流経路の長手方向に対して、45°で交差する。第1バイアス磁石2aと第2バイアス磁石2bとの間に発生するバイアス磁界の方向は、第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の検出磁界方向と直交している。検出磁界方向は、Z軸方向である。
 図9は、本発明の一実施形態に係る変位検出装置が備える複数の磁気センサの各々の出力と外部磁界の強さとの関係を示すグラフである。図9においては、縦軸に磁気センサの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に外部磁界の強さ(B)を示している。なお、磁気センサの検出値(Vout)は、たとえば磁気センサが出力する電圧値である。
 図8に示すように、第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の各々の電流経路の長手方向に対して、45°で交差するバイアス磁界が印加されている状態においては、図9に示すように、磁気センサから外部磁界の強さ(B)に比例した検出値(Vout)を得ることができる。
 しかし、第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の位置と、第1バイアス磁石2aおよび第2バイアス磁石2bの位置との、相対的な位置ずれが生じた場合、第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の各々の電流経路の長手方向に対するバイアス磁界の交差角度が、45°からずれる。
 この場合、図9に示す、外部磁界の強さ(B)と磁気センサの検出値(Vout)との比例関係を示す直線部分は、傾きが変化するとともに、0点を通過しなくなる。その結果、磁気センサの第1オフセット値および第2オフセット値の各々にばらつきが生じる。
 図6に示す例においては、第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の各々の電流経路の長手方向に対するバイアス磁界の交差角度は、たとえば、47°である。図7に示す例においては、第1AMR素子R1、第2AMR素子R2、第3AMR素子R3および第4AMR素子R4の各々の電流経路の長手方向に対するバイアス磁界の交差角度は、たとえば、43°である。
 なお、複数の磁気センサの各々が、GMR素子またはTMR素子で構成されている場合は、ピンド層およびフリー層の各々の磁化方向のばらつきによって、磁気センサの第1オフセット値および第2オフセット値の各々にばらつきが生じる。
 ここで、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの各々において、第2オフセット値が、第1オフセット値と同一の値である場合の、第1温度下での液面の推定高さと、第2温度下での液面の推定高さとの関係について説明する。
 図10は、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサのうちの一方の、Δoffset=0である磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図10においては、縦軸に磁気センサAの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図10においては、第1温度下での磁気センサAの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での磁気センサAの相関関数を点線で、磁気センサAに磁石121から印加される磁界122の強さを二点鎖線で示している。
 図11は、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサのうちの他方の、Δoffset=0である磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図11においては、縦軸に磁気センサBの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図11においては、第1温度下での磁気センサBの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での磁気センサBの相関関数を点線で、磁気センサBに磁石121から印加される磁界122の強さを二点鎖線で示している。
 図12は、第1温度下および第2温度下の各々における、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの検出値と、この2つの磁気センサの高さとの関係を、直線近似することにより推定した液面の高さを示す図である。図12においては、縦軸に2つの磁気センサの各々のZ軸方向の位置を示し、横軸に2つの磁気センサの各々の検出値(Vout)を示している。ここで、Z軸方向の位置を高さとする。
 図10および図12に示すように、磁石121から磁気センサAに印加される磁界122の強さはBaであり、磁気センサAの第1温度下における検出値はVa1であり、磁気センサAの第2温度下における検出値はVa2である。
 図11および図12に示すように、磁石121から磁気センサBに印加される磁界122の強さはBbであり、磁気センサBの第1温度下における検出値はVb1であり、磁気センサBの第2温度下における検出値はVb2である。
 図12に示すように、磁気センサAの第1温度下での検出値をVa1、磁気センサAの高さをHaとし、磁気センサBの第1温度下での検出値をVb1、磁気センサBの高さをHbとし、この2つの磁気センサの検出値と高さとの関係を、直線L2で近似すると、第1温度下での液面Sの高さHp1を求めることができる。同様に、磁気センサAの第2温度下での検出値をVa2、磁気センサAの高さをHaとし、磁気センサBの第2温度下での検出値をVb2、磁気センサBの高さをHbとし、この2つの磁気センサの検出値と高さとの関係を、直線L3で近似すると、第2温度下での液面Sの高さHp2を求めることができる。
 磁気センサAおよび磁気センサBの各々がΔoffset=0である場合、第1温度下での液面Sの推定高さHp1と、第2温度下での液面Sの推定高さHp2とは、同一となる。すなわち、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの検出値を用いた液面の高さの推定値は、温度変化による影響を受けない。しかし、複数の磁気センサの全てにおいて、Δoffset=0とすることは難しく、ほとんどの磁気センサにおいて、Δoffset≠0である。
 次に、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサの各々がΔoffset>0である第1磁気センサである場合の、第1温度下での液面の推定高さと、第2温度下での液面の推定高さとの関係について説明する。
 図13は、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサのうちの一方の、Δoffset>0である第1磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図13においては、縦軸に磁気センサAの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図13においては、第1温度下での磁気センサAの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での磁気センサAの相関関数を点線で、磁気センサAに磁石121から印加される磁界122の強さを二点鎖線で示している。
 図14は、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサのうちの他方の、Δoffset>0である第1磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図14においては、縦軸に磁気センサBの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図14においては、第1温度下での磁気センサBの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での磁気センサBの相関関数を点線で、磁気センサBに磁石121から印加される磁界122の強さを二点鎖線で示している。
 図15は、第1温度下および第2温度下の各々における、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの第1磁気センサの検出値と、この2つの第1磁気センサの高さとの関係を、直線近似することにより推定した液面の高さを示す図である。図15においては、縦軸に2つの第1磁気センサの各々のZ軸方向の位置を示し、横軸に2つの第1磁気センサの各々の検出値(Vout)を示している。
 図13および図15に示すように、磁石121から磁気センサAに印加される磁界122の強さはBaであり、磁気センサAの第1温度下における検出値はVa1であり、磁気センサAの第2温度下における検出値はVa2である。
 図14および図15に示すように、磁石121から磁気センサBに印加される磁界122の強さはBbであり、磁気センサBの第1温度下における検出値はVb1であり、磁気センサBの第2温度下における検出値はVb2である。
 図15に示すように、磁気センサAの第1温度下での検出値をVa1、磁気センサAの高さをHaとし、磁気センサBの第1温度下での検出値をVb1、磁気センサBの高さをHbとし、この2つの第1磁気センサの検出値と高さとの関係を、直線L4で近似すると、第1温度下での液面Sの高さHp1を求めることができる。同様に、磁気センサAの、第2温度下での検出値をVa2、高さをHaとし、磁気センサBの、第2温度下での検出値をVb2、高さをHbとし、この2つの第1磁気センサの検出値と高さとの関係を、直線L5で近似すると、第2温度下での液面Sの高さHp2を求めることができる。
 磁気センサAおよび磁気センサBの各々がΔoffset>0である第1磁気センサである場合、第1温度下での液面Sの推定高さHp1と、第2温度下での液面Sの推定高さHp2とに、大きな差が生じる。すなわち、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの第1磁気センサの検出値を用いた液面の高さの推定値は、温度変化による影響が大きい。また、磁気センサAおよび磁気センサBの各々がΔoffset<0である第2磁気センサである場合も同様に、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの第2磁気センサの検出値を用いた液面の高さの推定値は、温度変化による影響が大きい。
 次に、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサのうちの一方がΔoffset>0である第1磁気センサであり、他方がΔoffset<0である第2磁気センサである場合の、第1温度下での液面の推定高さと、第2温度下での液面の推定高さとの関係について説明する。
 図16は、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサのうちの一方の、Δoffset>0である第1磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図16においては、縦軸に磁気センサAの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図16においては、第1温度下での磁気センサAの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での磁気センサAの相関関数を点線で、磁気センサAに磁石121から印加される磁界122の強さを二点鎖線で示している。
 図17は、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した2つの磁気センサのうちの他方の、Δoffset<0である第2磁気センサにおける、第1温度下での相関関数と、第2温度下での相関関数とを示す、グラフである。図17においては、縦軸に磁気センサBの検出値(Vout)を示し、横軸に検出磁界方向の印加磁界(B)を示している。また、図17においては、第1温度下での磁気センサBの相関関数を実線で、第2温度下での磁気センサBの相関関数を点線で、磁気センサBに磁石121から印加される磁界122の強さを二点鎖線で示している。
 図18は、第1温度下および第2温度下の各々における、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサの検出値と、この第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサの高さとの関係を、直線近似することにより推定した液面の高さを示す図である。図18においては、縦軸に第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサの各々のZ軸方向の位置を示し、横軸に第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサの各々の検出値(Vout)を示している。
 図16および図18に示すように、磁石121から磁気センサAに印加される磁界122の強さはBaであり、磁気センサAの第1温度下における検出値はVa1であり、磁気センサAの第2温度下における検出値はVa2である。
 図17および図18に示すように、磁石121から磁気センサBに印加される磁界122の強さはBbであり、磁気センサBの第1温度下における検出値はVb1であり、磁気センサBの第2温度下における検出値はVb2である。
 図18に示すように、磁気センサAの第1温度下での検出値をVa1、磁気センサAの高さをHaとし、磁気センサBの第1温度下での検出値をVb1、磁気センサBの高さをHbとし、第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサの検出値と高さとの関係を、直線L6で近似すると、第1温度下での液面Sの高さHp1を求めることができる。同様に、磁気センサAの第2温度下での検出値をVa2、磁気センサAの高さをHaとし、磁気センサBの第2温度下での検出値をVb2、磁気センサBの高さをHbとし、第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサの検出値と高さとの関係を、直線L7で近似すると、第2温度下での液面Sの高さHp2を求めることができる。
 磁気センサAがΔoffset>0である第1磁気センサであり、磁気センサBがΔoffset<0である第2磁気センサである場合、第1温度下での液面Sの推定高さHp1と、第2温度下での液面Sの推定高さHp2との差が、図15に示す例に比較して、小さくなっている。すなわち、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出した第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサの検出値を用いた液面の高さの推定値は、2つの第1磁気センサの検出値を用いた液面の高さの推定値に比較して、温度変化による影響が低減されていた。
 そこで、本実施形態に係る変位検出装置100が備える磁気センサH0~H10においては、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出する1組の磁気センサが第1磁気センサと第2磁気センサとからなるように、第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサが配置されている。
 具体的には、磁気センサH0、磁気センサH1、磁気センサH4、磁気センサH5、磁気センサH8および磁気センサH9が第1磁気センサであり、磁気センサH2、磁気センサH3、磁気センサH6、磁気センサH7および磁気センサH10が第2磁気センサである。なお、磁気センサH0、磁気センサH1、磁気センサH4、磁気センサH5、磁気センサH8および磁気センサH9が第2磁気センサであり、磁気センサH2、磁気センサH3、磁気センサH6、磁気センサH7および磁気センサH10が第1磁気センサであってもよい。
 上記のように磁気センサH0~H10を第1磁気センサと第2磁気センサとで構成することにより、温度変化による液面高さの推定値の誤差を低減することができる。すなわち、磁気センサH0~H10の温度特性のばらつきによる変位検出装置100の検出誤差を低減できる。よって、磁気センサH0~H10の温度特性に起因する変位検出装置100の検出精度の低下を抑制することができる。特に、検出磁界方向の印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出する第1磁気センサのΔoffsetの絶対値と、第2磁気センサのΔoffsetの絶対値とが、略同一であることが、磁気センサH0~H10の温度特性に起因する変位検出装置100の検出精度の低下を効果的に抑制する観点から、より好ましい。
 なお、第1磁気センサおよび第2磁気センサの配置は、上記に限られず、磁石121が印加する磁界122に応じて、適宜変更される。図19は、本発明の一実施形態の変形例に係る変位検出装置における、磁気センサと磁石との配置関係および磁気センサに印加される検出磁界を示す部分平面図である。
 図19に示すように、本発明の一実施形態の変形例に係る変位検出装置においては、磁石121aのZ軸方向の長さが長く、2つの磁石121aに挟まれた領域に、磁気センサAおよび磁気センサBが配置されている。磁気センサAには、Z軸方向の一方に向いた磁界122aが主に印加され、磁気センサBには、Z軸方向の他方に向いた磁界122aが主に印加される。その結果、実線Hzで示すように、磁気センサAおよび磁気センサBには、互いに逆極性の磁界が印加される。
 磁気センサAと磁気センサBとが、互いに隣り合って配置されている場合には、磁気センサAが第1磁気センサであり、磁気センサBが第2磁気センサである。若しくは、磁気センサAが第2磁気センサであり、磁気センサBが第1磁気センサである。このような配置の場合は、複数の磁気センサにおいて、第1磁気センサと第2磁気センサとが交互に配置される。
 上述した実施形態の説明において、組み合わせ可能な構成を相互に組み合わせてもよい。なお、複数の磁気センサは、Z軸方向に沿って直線状に並んでいる場合に限られず、水平方向(X軸方向)に沿って直線状に並んでいてもよいし、円弧状など任意の形状沿って並んでいてもよい。
 今回開示された実施形態はすべての点で例示であって制限的なものではないと考えられるべきである。本発明の範囲は上記した説明ではなくて請求の範囲によって示され、請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。

Claims (9)

  1.  第1の方向に沿って並んで配置された複数の磁気センサと、
     前記第1の方向に沿って移動可能に設けられた磁石とを備え、
     前記磁気センサにおいて、第1温度下での前記磁石からの印加磁界と検出値との相関関数における前記磁石からの印加磁界が0である時の検出値を第1オフセット値とし、前記第1温度より高い第2温度下での前記磁石からの印加磁界と検出値との相関関数における前記磁石からの印加磁界が0である時の検出値を第2オフセット値とし、
     前記複数の磁気センサは、前記磁石からの印加磁界を互いに逆極性で検出する1組の磁気センサを含み、該1組の磁気センサの一方が前記第2オフセット値から前記第1オフセット値を引いた値が正である第1磁気センサであり、他方が前記第2オフセット値から前記第1オフセット値を引いた値が負である第2磁気センサである、変位検出装置。
  2.  前記複数の磁気センサが直線状に並んでいる、請求項1に記載の変位検出装置。
  3.  可動部材をさらに備え、
     前記磁石が、前記可動部材に設けられている、請求項1または請求項2に記載の変位検出装置。
  4.  前記第1の方向において、前記第1磁気センサと前記第2磁気センサとが交互に配置されている、請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の変位検出装置。
  5.  前記1組の磁気センサの検出結果から前記第1の方向における前記磁石の変位を検出する制御部をさらに備える、請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の変位検出装置。
  6.  各前記検出値は、前記磁気センサが出力する電圧値である、請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の変位検出装置。
  7.  前記磁気センサにおいて前記印加磁界が0のとき、前記磁気センサと前記磁石の前記第1の方向における位置は略同一である、請求項1から請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の変位検出装置。
  8.  前記第1の方向における前記1組の磁気センサの間の位置に、前記磁石が位置する、請求項1から請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の変位検出装置。
  9.  前記磁石は液体の液面に追従して昇降し、前記第1の方向における前記1組の磁気センサの間の位置に、前記液面が位置する、請求項1から請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の変位検出装置。
