A stationary portion such as a stationary blade is provided on the inner surface of the turbine casing.
- a rotating part such as a rotor with moving blades is horizontally inserted. The rotating part is rotatably supported by a bearing provided in the turbine casing.
- fluid such as high-temperature and high-pressure gas flows inside the turbine casing.
- the narrower the clearance between the stationary system and the rotating system the smaller the leaked fluid, and more energy can be transmitted to the rotating system.
