Description
また、建築・建材分野及び自動車・車両分野等の屋外用途では、耐候性のみならず、使用者や通行者の安全性確保の点から、塗膜の滑りにくさ(以下、「防滑性」という。)及び塗膜の60゜鏡面光沢を40%以下に抑えること(以下、「艶消性」という。)、意匠性の点から塗膜の平滑性、いずれの物性も同時に満足することが求められている。
特許文献2及び3に記載の組成物では、塗膜の平滑性には優れるものの、キセノン式ウェザーメーター試験による耐候性には劣るという問題があった。
特許文献4に記載の組成物では、塗膜の平滑性及び艶消性に優れるものの、キセノン式ウェザーメーター試験による耐候性には劣る上、防滑性にも劣るという問題があった。
特許文献5に記載の組成物では、塗膜の平滑性に優れるものの、耐候性については何ら示唆されておらず、塗膜の防滑性及び艶消性には劣るものであった。
以上のように、耐候性、防滑性、艶消性及び平滑性を同時に満足することは困難であった。
本発明は、上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的は、硬化膜の耐候性、防滑性、艶消性及び平滑性に優れる粉体塗料用組成物を提供することである。
[1]下記(A)及び(B)成分を必須成分として含有する粉体塗料用組成物。
(A)成分:重量平均分子量が20,000~140,000、分子量分布が4.0~26であって、ジカルボン酸化合物(а)成分及び2級水酸基を有しない脂肪族多価アルコール(b)成分の反応物を含む水酸基含有ポリエステル樹脂
(B)成分:ブロックイソシアネート化合物
[2]前記(a)成分がイソフタル酸を含有する、[1]に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
[3]前記(b)成分の水酸基β位が第4級炭素である、[1]又は[2]に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
[4]前記(A)成分の200℃における溶融粘度が50~150dPa・sである、[1]~[3]のいずれか一に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
[5] さらに、ワックス(C)成分を含有する、[1]~[4]のいずれか一に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
[6]前記(C)成分がポリプロピレンワックスを含有する、[5]に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
[7] [1]~[6]のいずれか一に記載の粉体塗料用組成物から形成された硬化膜を表面に有する塗装物品。
(A)成分:重量平均分子量が20,000~140,000、分子量分布が4.0~26であって、ジカルボン酸化合物(以下、「(a)成分」という。)及び2級水酸基を有しない脂肪族多価アルコール(以下、「(b)成分」という。)の反応物を含む水酸基含有ポリエステル樹脂
(B)成分:ブロックイソシアネート
以下、(A)成分、(B)成分、粉体塗料用組成物、粉体塗料用組成物の製造方法、塗装物品及び用途について説明する。
(A)成分は、重量平均分子量が20,000~140,000、分子量分布が4.0~26であって、(a)成分及び(b)成分の反応物を含む水酸基含有ポリエステル樹脂である。
本発明において、重量平均分子量(以下、「Mw」という。)及び数平均分子量(以下、「Mn」という。)とは、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(以下、「GPC」)という。)により測定した分子量をポリスチレン換算した値であり、分子量分布(以下、「Mw/Mn」という。)はMwをMnで除して得られる値である。
・検出器:示差屈折計(RI検出器)
・カラムの種類:架橋ポリスチレン系カラム
・カラムの温度:25~50℃の範囲内
・溶離液:テトラヒドロフラン(以下、「THF」という。)
尚、本発明において水酸基価とは、試料1g中の水酸基と当量の水酸化カリウムのmg数を意味する。
(a)成分は、ジカルボン酸化合物である。
(a)成分の具体例としては、コハク酸、グルタル酸、アジピン酸、ピメリン酸、スベリン酸、セバシン酸、アゼライン酸、1,9-ノナンジカルボン酸、1,10-デカンジカルボン酸、1,12-ドデカンジカルボン酸及び1,2-オクタデカンジカルボン酸等の脂肪族ジカルボン酸化合物、1,3-シクロヘキサンジカルボン酸、1,4-シクロヘキサンジカルボン酸及びヘキサヒドロフタル酸等の脂環族ジカルボン酸化合物、フタル酸、イソフタル酸、テレフタル酸、ナフタレンジカルボン酸、トリメリット酸及びピロメリット酸の芳香族ジカルボン酸化合物、及びこれらの酸無水物等が挙げられる。
(b)成分は、2級水酸基を有しない脂肪族多価アルコールである。
(b)成分の具体例としては、エチレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、トリエチレングリコール、1,2-プロパンジオール、1,3-ブタンジオール、1,4-ブタンジオール、1,5-ペンタンジオール、1,6-ヘキサンジオール、1,10-デカンジオール、1,4-シクロヘキサンジメタノール、ネオペンチルグリコール、スピログリコール及び2-ブチル-2-エチル-1,3-プロパンジオール等の2価アルコール、トリメチロールプロパン等の3価アルコール、及びペンタエリスリトール等の4価アルコール等が挙げられる。
(B)成分は、ブロックイソシアネート化合物であり、室温で固体のものが好ましい。
本発明の粉体塗料用組成物は、前記(A)及び(B)成分を必須成分として含有するものであるが、目的に応じて種々のその他成分を配合することができる。なお、本発明の粉体塗料用組成物は、基材上へプライマー処理が施される塗装(以下、2コート塗装)において、プライマー層との密着性に優れる点で、フッ素樹脂を含まないことが好ましい。
尚、後記するその他の成分は、例示した化合物の1種のみを使用しても、2種以上を併用しても良い。
(C)成分は、ワックスであり、塗膜の艶消性を付与する目的で配合することができる。
(D)成分は、硬化触媒であり、硬化を促進し、優れた塗膜物性を得る目的で配合することができる。
本発明の粉体塗料用組成物は、硬化の容易性や塗膜物性の点から、さらに(D)成分を含有することが好ましい。
(E)成分は、紫外線吸収剤であり、硬化膜の耐光性を向上させる目的で配合することができる。
(F)成分は、ヒンダードアミン系光安定剤であり、硬化膜の耐光性を向上させる目的で配合することができる。
(G)成分は、顔料であり、種々の目的で配合することができる。
本発明の粉体塗料用組成物は、公知の方法で製造できる。
(1)(A)及び(B)成分と、必要に応じて(C)~(G)成分、レベリング剤及びピンホール防止剤(以下、まとめて「原料」ともいう。)をそれぞれ予め粉末状に粉砕した後に混合する方法
(2)原料を固体状態で混合した後に粉末状に粉砕する方法
(3)原料を固体状態で混合した後、溶融混練し、冷却して塊状とし、これを粉末状に粉砕する方法
本発明の塗装物品は、基材の表面に、粉体塗料用組成物から形成されてなる硬化膜を有する。
プライマーとしては、アクリル樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂及びエポキシ樹脂から選ばれる少なくとも一種を主成分とする各種塗料を適宜用いることができる。
プライマー層の膜厚は、1~60μmが好ましく、5~30μmがより好ましい。
本発明の塗装物品は、本発明の粉体塗料用組成物を基材に塗装して、基材上に当該組成物の溶融物からなる塗膜を形成し、当該組成物中の反応成分を反応させ、次いで、溶融状態の塗膜を室温まで冷却して固化させて製造することが好ましい。
塗装方法としては、静電塗装法、静電吹付法、静電浸漬法、噴霧法、流動浸漬法、吹付法、スプレー法、溶射法及びプラズマ溶射法等が挙げられる。溶融膜の表面平滑性に優れ、塗膜の隠ぺい性に優れる点から、粉体塗装ガンを用いた静電塗装法が好ましい。
摩擦帯電型塗装ガンを用いる場合、摩擦帯電処理による粉体塗料の内部発生電流値は、塗着効率と塗膜の外観に優れる点から、1~8μAが好ましい。
本発明の粉体塗料用組成物から形成される塗装物品は、建築・建材分野、電気・通信分野、自動車・車両分野、道路資材分野、水道・ガス資材分野、鋼製家具分野及び建機・産機分野等の様々な工業用製品分野において使用することができる。特に、好ましい用途の例としては、建築・建材分野及び自動車・車両分野等の屋外用途が挙げられる。
下記表1に、使用した水酸基含有ポリエステル樹脂の(а)成分、(b)成分、(b)成分以外の脂肪族多価アルコール(以下、「(b')成分」という。)、Mw、Mw/Mn、水酸基価、酸価及び溶融粘度を示す。
・装置:Waters(株)製 GPC システム名 1515 2414 717P RI
・検出器:RI検出器
・カラム:ガードカラム 昭和電工(株)製 Shodex KFG(8μm 4.6×10mm)、本カラム2種類 Waters(株)製 styragel HR 4E THF(7.8×300mm)+styragel HR 1THF(7.8×300mm)
・カラムの温度:40℃
・溶離液組成:THF(内部標準として硫黄を0.03%含むもの)、流量0.75mL/分
ピリジン溶媒中で、試料にアセチル化試薬として無水酢酸を加えて92℃の温浴槽中で1時間加熱処理する。放冷後、少量の水を添加して92℃の温浴槽中で10分間加熱処理する。放冷後、フェノールフタレイン溶液を指示薬として水酸化カリウムエタノール溶液で酢酸を逆滴定して水酸基価を求めた。
アセトン溶媒中で、フェノールフタレイン溶液を指示薬として水酸化カリウムエタノール溶液で試料を滴定して酸価を求めた。
200℃における粘度をコーンプレート法で測定した。
1)粉体塗料用組成物の調製
下記表2に示す化合物を表2に示す質量部で混合した後、溶融混練し、冷却して塊状とし、これを粉末状に粉砕することで、粉体塗料用組成物を調製した。
得られた組成物を使用し、後記する評価を行った。それらの結果を表2に示す。
又、表2における略号は下記を意味する。
・B1530:イソホロンジイソシアネート・アダクト・ε-カプロラクタム・ブロック体、エボニックデグサジャパン(株)製VESTAGON B1530
・CF970:ポリプロピレンワックス(融点160℃)、BYK社製CERAFLOUR970
・AH3:高密度ポリエチレンンワックス(融点114℃)、BASF社製LuwaxAH3
・KS1B:ジ-ノルマルブチルスズマレートポリマー、共同薬品(株)製KS-1B
・TI460:2,4-ビス(2-ヒドロキシ-4-ブトキシフェニル)-6-(2,4-ジブトキシフェニル)-1,3,5-トリアジン(分子量629.8、融点:93~102℃)、BASF社製TINUVIN460
・LA63P:高分子量型ヒンダードアミン系光安定剤(分子量約2,000、融点:85~105℃)、(株)ADEKA製アデカスタブLA-63P
・重炭A:重質炭酸カルシウム、丸尾カルシウム(株)製重質炭酸カルシウムA
・20L:カーボンブラック、オリオン・エンジニアドカーボンズ(株)製ハイブラック20L
前記2.1)で得られた粉体塗料用組成物を用い、リン酸亜鉛による化成処理を行なった冷間圧延鋼板(以下、「鋼鈑」という。)の一面に、静電塗装機(日本パーカライジング(株)製、商品名:GX7500C)を用いて静電塗装を行い、200℃雰囲気中で15分間保持し、次いで、放置して室温まで冷却し、平均膜厚105μm(最小:60μm、最大150μm)の硬化膜付き鋼鈑(以下、「塗装鋼鈑」という。)を得た。
前記2.2)で得られた塗装鋼鈑を用い、後記する評価を行った。
(1)耐候性
340nmランプ照度0.55W/m2、相対湿50%RH、ブラックパネル温度70℃、降雨あり、照射2時間+暗黒1時間サイクルの条件下で、キセノンウェザーメーター(ATLAS社製、商品名:Ci4000)を用いた促進耐候性試験を行った。促進耐候性試験後の硬化膜の色差ΔEを、分光測色計(コニカミノルタ(株)製、商品名CM-5)を用いて測定し、3.0を超えるまでのエネルギー量を計測し、以下の5水準で評価を行った。それらの結果を表2に示す。
◎ :2,750kJ/m2以上
〇 :2,000kJ/m2以上、2,750kJ/m2未満
△ :1,500kJ/m2以上、2,000kJ/m2未満
× :1,000kJ/m2以上、1,500kJ/m2未満
×× :1,000kJ/m2未満
(2)防滑性
塗装鋼鈑の動摩擦係数を、表面性測定機(新東科学(株)製、商品名TYPE-14)を用いて測定し、以下の4水準で評価を行った。それらの結果を表2に示す。
◎ :0.15以上
〇 :0.10以上、0.15未満
△ :0.05以上、0.10未満
× :0.05未満
(3)艶消性
塗装鋼鈑の60°光沢を、光沢計(日本電色工業(株)製、商品名VG2000)を用いて測定し、以下の4水準で評価を行った。それらの結果を表2に示す。
◎ :30%未満
〇 :30%以上、40%未満
△ :40%以上、50%未満
× :50%以上
(4)平滑性
塗装鋼鈑表面の平滑性を目視観察し、以下の4水準で評価を行った。それらの結果を表2に示す。
◎ :極めて良好
〇 :良好
△ :やや悪い
× :非常に悪い
実施例1~7の結果から明らかなように、本発明の粉体塗料用組成物は、硬化膜の耐候性、防滑性、艶消性及び平滑性のいずれの物性にも優れるものであった。
これに対して、比較例1及び同2の組成物は、(b)成分以外の脂肪族多価アルコールからなる水酸基価含有ポリエステル樹脂を含む組成物であり、実施例の組成物と比較して、硬化膜の耐候性が非常に悪いものであった。

- 下記(A)及び(B)成分を必須成分として含有する粉体塗料用組成物。
(A)成分:重量平均分子量が20,000~140,000、分子量分布が4.0~26であって、ジカルボン酸化合物(а)成分及び2級水酸基を有しない脂肪族多価アルコール(b)成分の反応物を含む水酸基含有ポリエステル樹脂
(B)成分:ブロックイソシアネート化合物 - 前記(a)成分がイソフタル酸を含有する、請求項1に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
- 前記(b)成分の水酸基β位が第4級炭素である、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
- 前記(A)成分の200℃における溶融粘度が50~150dPa・sである、請求項1~請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
- さらに、ワックス(C)成分を含有する、請求項1~請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
- 前記(C)成分がポリプロピレンワックスを含有する、請求項5に記載の粉体塗料用組成物。
- 請求項1~請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の粉体塗料用組成物から形成された硬化膜を表面に有する塗装物品。
