Abstract
Description
以下、図面を用いて本発明の実施例について説明する。図1は、本実施例に係る内燃機関とその吸排気系の概略構成を示す図である。図1に示す内燃機関1は、圧縮着火式の内燃機関(ディーゼルエンジン)である。ただし、本発明は、ガソリン等を燃料とする火花点火式のリーンバーン内燃機関にも適用することができる。
次に、本発明の第2の実施例について説明する。上述した第1の実施例は、診断時供給量が還元用必要量よりも多い所定の一定量とされる例である。これに対して、本実施例は、診断時供給量が還元用必要量よりも多い所定の可変量とされる例である。なお、本実施例において、上述した第1の実施例と実質的に同一の構成、実質的に同一の制御処理については、その詳細な説明を省略する。
次に、上述した第2の実施例の変形例について説明する。なお、本変形例において、上述した実施例と実質的に同一の構成、実質的に同一の制御処理については、その詳細な説明を省略する。
次に、本発明の第3の実施例について説明する。上述した実施例に係る排気浄化装置では、SCR触媒51よりも上流側の排気通路5に排気中のNOxを還元するNSR触媒50が設けられている。これに対して、本実施例に係る排気浄化装置では、SCR触媒51よりも上流側の排気通路5には排気中のNOxを還元するNSR触媒50等のNOx浄化触媒は設けられない。なお、本実施例において、上述した実施例と実質的に同一の構成、実質的に同一の制御処理については、その詳細な説明を省略する。
次に、本発明の第4の実施例について図10に基づいて説明する。上述した実施例は、低減制御として触媒昇温制御が実行される例である。これに対し、本実施例は、低減制御として、SCR触媒51へ流入するNOxの流量を増加させるNOx流量増加制御が実行される例である。なお、本実施例において、上述した実施例と実質的に同一の構成、実質的に同一の制御処理については、その詳細な説明を省略する。
本実施例では、ECU10によって、SCR触媒51における異常時アンモニア吸着量と正常時アンモニア吸着量とがそれぞれ推定される。ここで、異常時アンモニア吸着量は、SCR触媒51が異常診断により異常が生じていると診断される状態であると仮定したときの該該SCR触媒51におけるアンモニアの吸着量である。また、正常時アンモニア吸着量は、SCR触媒51が正常な状態であると仮定したときの該SCR触媒51におけるアンモニアの吸着量である。

Claims (7)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、該排気通路内にアンモニアの前駆体またはアンモニアを還元剤として供給する還元剤供給装置と、
前記還元剤供給装置よりも下流側の排気通路に設けられ、アンモニアによって排気中のNOxを還元する選択還元型NOx触媒と、
前記選択還元型NOx触媒よりも下流側の排気中のアンモニア濃度を検出する検出手段と、
を有する排気浄化装置に適用され、前記検出手段によって検出されるアンモニア濃度に基づいて前記選択還元型NOx触媒の異常診断を行う、排気浄化装置の異常診断システムであって、
前記選択還元型NOx触媒が正常であると仮定したときの該選択還元型NOx触媒におけるアンモニアの吸着量であるアンモニア吸着量を推定する推定手段と、
前記異常診断の実行に伴って、前記選択還元型NOx触媒によるNOxの還元を目的として前記還元剤供給装置により供給される前記還元剤の量よりも多い所定の一定量の診断時供給量の前記還元剤を前記還元剤供給装置により供給する供給制御を実行する供給制御手段と、
前記供給制御による前記還元剤の供給に伴って前記検出手段によって検出されるアンモニア濃度に基づいて前記選択還元型NOx触媒の異常診断を行う異常診断手段と、
直近の前記異常診断の実行後で且つ次回の前記異常診断の実行前の所定のタイミングにおいて、該所定のタイミングにおける前記アンモニア吸着量が所定の上限吸着量よりも多くなっている場合、次回の前記供給制御の実行後の前記アンモニア吸着量が、前記選択還元型NOx触媒が前記異常診断により異常が生じていると診断される状態である場合に該選択還元型NOx触媒からアンモニアのスリップが開始するときの該選択還元型NOx触媒に吸着しているアンモニアの吸着量である異常時スリップ発現吸着量よりも多くて、前記選択還元型NOx触媒が正常な状態である場合に該選択還元型NOx触媒からアンモニアのスリップが開始するときの該選択還元型NOx触媒に吸着しているアンモニアの吸着量である正常時スリップ発現吸着量よりも少なくなるように、前記選択還元型NOx触媒に吸着しているアンモニアの吸着量を低減させる低減制御を実行する低減制御手段と、
を備える、排気浄化装置の異常診断システム。 - 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、該排気通路内にアンモニアの前駆体またはアンモニアを還元剤として供給する還元剤供給装置と、
前記還元剤供給装置よりも下流側の排気通路に設けられ、アンモニアによって排気中のNOxを還元する選択還元型NOx触媒と、
前記選択還元型NOx触媒よりも下流側の排気中のアンモニア濃度を検出する検出手段と、
を有する排気浄化装置に適用され、前記検出手段によって検出されるアンモニア濃度に基づいて前記選択還元型NOx触媒の異常診断を行う、排気浄化装置の異常診断システムであって、
前記選択還元型NOx触媒が正常であると仮定したときの該選択還元型NOx触媒におけるアンモニアの吸着量であるアンモニア吸着量を推定する推定手段と、
前記異常診断の実行に伴って、前記選択還元型NOx触媒によるNOxの還元を目的として前記還元剤供給装置により供給される前記還元剤の量よりも多い診断時供給量の前記還元剤を前記還元剤供給装置により供給する供給制御を実行する供給制御手段であって、該供給制御の実行後の前記アンモニア吸着量が、前記選択還元型NOx触媒が前記異常診断により異常が生じていると診断される状態である場合に該選択還元型NOx触媒からアンモニアのスリップが開始するときの該選択還元型NOx触媒に吸着しているアンモニアの吸着量である異常時スリップ発現吸着量よりも多くて、前記選択還元型NOx触媒が正常な状態である場合に該選択還元型NOx触媒からアンモニアのスリップが開始するときの該選択還元型NOx触媒に吸着しているアンモニアの吸着量である正常時スリップ発現吸着量よりも少なくなるように、該供給制御を実行する供給制御手段と、
前記供給制御による前記還元剤の供給に伴って前記検出手段によって検出されるアンモニア濃度に基づいて前記選択還元型NOx触媒の異常診断を行う異常診断手段と、
直近の前記異常診断の実行後で且つ次回の前記異常診断の実行前の所定のタイミングにおいて、該所定のタイミングにおける前記アンモニア吸着量が所定の上限吸着量よりも多くなっている場合、該アンモニア吸着量が該所定の上限吸着量以下となるように前記選択還元型NOx触媒に吸着しているアンモニアの吸着量を低減させる低減制御を実行する低減制御手段と、
を備える、排気浄化装置の異常診断システム。 - 前記異常診断の実行条件が成立したときに、該異常診断の実行条件が成立したときの前記アンモニア吸着量に基づいて、前記診断時供給量を決定する決定手段であって、該異常診断の実行条件が成立したときの前記アンモニア吸着量に該診断時供給量に基づくアンモニア量を加算した量が、前記異常時スリップ発現吸着量よりも多く且つ前記正常時スリップ発現吸着量よりも少なくなるように、該診断時供給量を決定する決定手段を、更に備え、
前記供給制御手段は、前記供給制御において、前記決定手段によって決定された前記診断時供給量の前記還元剤を前記還元剤供給装置により供給する、
請求項2に記載の排気浄化装置の異常診断システム。 - 前記決定手段は、前記異常診断の実行条件が成立したときの前記アンモニア吸着量に前記診断時供給量に基づくアンモニア量を加算した量が、前記異常時スリップ発現吸着量に所定の検出可能アンモニア量を加算した量である異常診断可能量以上で前記正常時スリップ発現吸着量よりも少なくなるように、該診断時供給量を決定する、
請求項3に記載の排気浄化装置の異常診断システム。 - 前記排気浄化装置は、前記選択還元型NOx触媒よりも上流側の排気通路に設けられ排気中のNOxを還元するNOx浄化触媒を更に有する、
請求項1から4の何れか1項に記載の排気浄化装置の異常診断システム。 - 前記低減制御手段は、前記低減制御として、前記選択還元型NOx触媒の温度を上昇させる触媒昇温制御と、前記選択還元型NOx触媒へ流入するNOxの流量を増加させるNOx流量増加制御と、の少なくとも何れか一方を実行する、
請求項1から5の何れか1項に記載の排気浄化装置の異常診断システム。 - 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、該排気通路内にアンモニアの前駆体またはアンモニアを還元剤として供給する還元剤供給装置と、
前記還元剤供給装置よりも下流側の排気通路に設けられ、アンモニアによって排気中のNOxを還元する選択還元型NOx触媒と、
前記選択還元型NOx触媒よりも下流側の排気中のアンモニア濃度を検出する検出手段と、
を有する排気浄化装置に適用され、前記検出手段によって検出されるアンモニア濃度に基づいて前記選択還元型NOx触媒の異常診断を行う、排気浄化装置の異常診断システムであって、
前記選択還元型NOx触媒が前記異常診断により異常が生じていると診断される状態であると仮定したときの該選択還元型NOx触媒におけるアンモニアの吸着量である異常時アンモニア吸着量を推定する第1推定手段と、
前記選択還元型NOx触媒が正常な状態であると仮定したときの該選択還元型NOx触媒におけるアンモニアの吸着量である正常時アンモニア吸着量を推定する第2推定手段と、
前記選択還元型NOx触媒が前記異常診断により異常が生じていると診断される状態である場合に該選択還元型NOx触媒からアンモニアのスリップが開始するときの該選択還元型NOx触媒に吸着しているアンモニアの吸着量を異常時スリップ発現吸着量とし、前記選択還元型NOx触媒が正常な状態である場合に該選択還元型NOx触媒からアンモニアのスリップが開始するときの該選択還元型NOx触媒に吸着しているアンモニアの吸着量を正常時スリップ発現吸着量としたときに、前記異常診断を実行する際に、前記第1推定手段によって推定される前記異常時アンモニア吸着量が前記異常時スリップ発現吸着量以上の第1所定吸着量以上となり、且つ、前記第2推定手段によって推定される前記正常時アンモニア吸着量が前記正常時スリップ発現吸着量以下の第2所定吸着量より少なくなるように、前記還元剤供給装置により前記還元剤を供給する診断用供給制御を実行する供給制御手段と、
前記供給制御による前記診断用供給制御の実行に伴って前記検出手段によって検出されるアンモニア濃度に基づいて前記選択還元型NOx触媒の異常診断を行う異常診断手段と、
を備える、排気浄化装置の異常診断システム。
