Ce système d'alimentation électrique comprend : une pluralité de moyens de stockage d'électricité (12, 13); et une unité de sélection qui comporte une pluralité de moyens de commutation (21 à 25) disposés sur des trajets électriques qui se connectent à chacun des moyens de stockage d'électricité, et qui sélectionne entre un état parallèle dans lequel la pluralité de moyens de stockage d'électricité sont connectés les uns aux autres en parallèle, et un état en série dans lequel la pluralité de moyens de stockage d'électricité sont connectés les uns aux autres en série. Le dispositif de commande d'alimentation électrique (30) comprend : une unité d'acquisition qui acquiert un paramètre d'état de commutation qui est corrélé à l'amplitude du courant circulant sur le trajet conducteur de courant qui comprend un trajet entre chacun des moyens de stockage d'électricité dans l'état parallèle ou dans l'état de série, en tant que paramètre indiquant l'état de la pluralité de moyens de commutation; et une unité de commande de résistance qui ajuste la valeur de résistance d'une résistance variable présente sur le trajet conducteur de courant à l'état parallèle ou à l'état en série sur la base du paramètre d'état de commutation.
