Abstract

【課題】近接場を用いて、微小な標的物質を、高感度でかつ迅速に検出する光学的検出方法及び装置を提供する。 【解決手段】近接場を用いて検出板の表面上の標的物質を含む結合体による蛍光等を光信号として検出する標的物質の光学的検出方法であって、結合体は少なくとも標的物質と磁性粒子の結合によって形成され、結合体を表面に平行な方向又は前記表面から遠ざける方向に移動等させる第1の磁場の印加によって生じる光信号の低減等を計測して、標的物質を検出する。光学的検出装置は、裏面側から全反射条件で照射される光により表面上に近接場を形成可能な検出板を備え、かつ標的物質を含む液体の試料及び標的物質と結合体を形成する磁性粒子を検出板の表面上に保持可能な液体保持部と、光照射部と、光検出部と、結合体を表面に平行な方向又は表面から遠ざける方向に移動させる磁場を印加する磁場印加部等とを備える。
