Abstract
Description
(A)100℃における動粘度が3~6mm2/sである鉱油および合成油、100℃における動粘度が5~10mm2/sである鉱油および合成油、100℃における動粘度が9~13mm2/sである鉱油および合成油、ならびに100℃における動粘度が25~35mm2/sである鉱油および合成油からなる群から選ばれる1種または2種以上の組み合わせである潤滑油基油と、
(B)金属系清浄剤と、
(C)窒素含有無灰分散剤と、
(D)ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸無水物および/またはヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルとを含み、
(C)成分の含有量が、潤滑油組成物全量基準で窒素分として200~500ppmであることを特徴とする。
本発明のトランクピストン型ディーゼル機関用潤滑油組成物における潤滑油基油は、100℃における動粘度が3~6mm2/sである鉱油および合成油、100℃における動粘度が5~10mm2/sである鉱油および合成油、100℃における動粘度が9~13mm2/sである鉱油および合成油ならびに100℃における動粘度が25~35mm2/sである鉱油および合成油からなる群から選ばれる1種または2種以上の組み合わせである。
(A-1)飽和炭化水素分が90質量%以上であり、硫黄分が0.03質量%以下であり、粘度指数が80以上である基油。
なお本出願でいう飽和炭化水素分とは、ASTM D 2007-93に規定の方法により測定される飽和分である。
基油(A-1)は鉱油系基油および合成系基油のいずれであってもよく、好ましくは鉱油系基油である。基油(A-1)としては、API分類のグループII基油を好ましく用いることができる。
基油(A-1)の芳香族分は10質量%以下であり、好ましくは5質量%未満、より好ましくは3質量%未満であり、0質量%であってもよい。
基油(A-1)の粘度指数は80以上であり、好ましくは85以上、より好ましくは90以上であり、通常120未満である。
本発明の潤滑油組成物における金属系清浄剤としては、カルシウムサリシレート清浄剤、カルシウムフェネート清浄剤、及びカルシウムスルホネート清浄剤から選ばれる1種または2種以上の組み合わせを好ましく用いることができる。本発明のトランクピストン型ディーゼル機関用潤滑油組成物において、金属系清浄剤は、カルシウムサリシレート清浄剤および/またはカルシウムフェネート清浄剤であることが好ましく、少なくともカルシウムサリシレート清浄剤を含むことがより好ましい。
アルキル芳香族スルホン酸としては、例えば、いわゆる石油スルホン酸や合成スルホン酸が挙げられる。ここでいう石油スルホン酸としては、鉱油の潤滑油留分のアルキル芳香族化合物をスルホン化したものや、ホワイトオイル製造時に副生する、いわゆるマホガニー酸等が挙げられる。また、合成スルホン酸の一例としては、洗剤の原料となるアルキルベンゼン製造プラントにおける副生成物を回収すること、もしくは、ベンゼンをポリオレフィンでアルキル化することにより得られる、直鎖状または分枝状のアルキル基を有するアルキルベンゼンをスルホン化したものを挙げることができる。合成スルホン酸の他の一例としては、ジノニルナフタレン等のアルキルナフタレンをスルホン化したものを挙げることができる。また、これらアルキル芳香族化合物をスルホン化する際のスルホン化剤としては、特に制限はなく、例えば発煙硫酸や無水硫酸を用いることができる。
カルシウムスルホネート清浄剤には、カルシウムスルホネートの中性塩に、さらに過剰のカルシウム塩やカルシウム塩基(酸化カルシウムや水酸化カルシウム)を水の存在下で加熱することにより得られる塩基性塩や、炭酸ガス又はホウ酸若しくはホウ酸塩等の存在下で上記中性塩を水酸化カルシウム等の塩基と反応させることにより得られる過塩基性塩も包含される。
本発明の潤滑油組成物における窒素含有無灰分散剤としては、潤滑油に用いられる公知の無灰分散剤を特に制限なく使用可能である。例えば、炭素数40~400の直鎖若しくは分枝状のアルキル基又はアルケニル基を分子中に少なくとも1個有する含窒素化合物又はその誘導体を挙げることができる。
式(1)及び式(2)におけるアルケニル基(R1、R2)の好適な重量平均分子量は800~3500である。
(C)成分の分子量には特に制限は無いが、好適な重量平均分子量は1000~8000である。
本発明の潤滑油組成物は、ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸無水物および/またはヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルを含有する。(D)成分の重量平均分子量は、好ましくは1,000~3,000であり、より好ましくは1,500~2,500である。
ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸無水物を構成するヒドロカルビルカルボン酸は、一塩基酸(モノカルボン酸)であってもよく、二塩基酸(ジカルボン酸)であってもよく、三塩基酸(トリカルボン酸)であってもよく、それらの組み合わせであってもよい。ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸無水物を構成する好ましいヒドロカルビルカルボン酸としては、ポリブテニルコハク酸を例示できる。
本発明において、(D)成分のヒドロカルビルカルボン酸無水物としては、ヒドロカルビルジカルボン酸の分子内脱水により生成する酸無水物を好ましく採用でき、それらの中でもアルケニルコハク酸無水物を特に好ましく採用できる。
ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルを構成するヒドロカルビルカルボン酸は、一塩基酸(モノカルボン酸)であってもよく、二塩基酸(ジカルボン酸)であってもよく、三塩基酸(トリカルボン酸)であってもよく、それらの組み合わせであってもよい。ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸が2以上のカルボキシ基を有する場合には、そのエステルは完全エステルであってもよく、不完全エステルであってもよい。ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルを構成する好ましいヒドロカルビルカルボン酸としては、ポリブテニルコハク酸を例示できる。
ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルを構成するアルコールは、一価アルコール(モノオール)であってもよく、二価アルコール(ジオール)であってもよく、三価アルコール(トリオール)であってもよく、それらの組み合わせであってもよい。またヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルを構成するアルコールは脂肪族アルコールであることが好ましい。ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルを構成する好ましいアルコールとしては、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール等を例示できる。
本発明において、(D)成分のヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルとしては、ヒドロカルビルジカルボン酸のエステルを好ましく採用でき、それらの中でもアルケニルコハク酸エステルを特に好ましく採用できる。
本発明の潤滑油組成物は、上記説明した潤滑油基油、金属系清浄剤、無灰分散剤、及びヒドロカルビルカルボン酸無水物/エステルのほかに、摩耗防止剤または極圧剤、摩擦調整剤、酸化防止剤、粘度指数向上剤、流動点降下剤、金属不活性化剤、腐食防止剤、(D)成分以外の防錆剤、抗乳化剤、および消泡剤からなる群から選ばれる1種以上の添加剤をさらに含有し得る。
本発明の潤滑油組成物の100℃における動粘度は、通常8.0~16.3mm2/sであり、好ましくは9.0~15.0mm2/sであり、より好ましくは9.0~12.5mm2/sであり、特に好ましくは10.0~12.5mm2/sである。組成物の動粘度が8.0mm2/sを下回ると、中速ディーゼル機関の信頼性に必要な油膜厚さや油圧を確保することが難しくなる。また組成物の動粘度が16.3mm2/sを上回ると、燃料消費の低減効果を発揮することが難しくなる。なお、ここでいう100℃における動粘度とは、ASTM D 445に規定の100℃での動粘度を意味する。
本出願において塩基価とは、ASTM D 2896により測定される過塩素酸法による塩基価を示す。
表1に示されるように、本発明の潤滑油組成物(実施例1~7)、及び比較用の潤滑油組成物(比較例1~7)をそれぞれ調製した。表中、「inmass%」は基油全量基準での質量%を意味し、「mass%」は組成物全量基準での質量%を意味し、「mass ppm」は組成物全量基準での質量ppmを意味する。
アスファルテン混入条件下での高温清浄性を評価するため、実施例1~7及び比較例1~7の潤滑油組成物のそれぞれについて、試料油90質量%とC重油10質量%とからなる混合物を調製し、該混合物についてホットチューブ試験を行った。試験温度は300℃、試験時間は16時間とした。結果を表1中に示している。評点が高いほど、アスファルテン混入条件下での高温清浄性に優れていることを意味する。
アスファルテン溶解分散性を評価するため、実施例1~7及び比較例1~7の潤滑油組成物のそれぞれについて、試料油90質量%とC重油10質量%とからなる混合物を調製し、該混合物を濾紙に1滴垂らして、12時間経過後に濾紙に形成されたリング状の模様の状態を0~5の6段階で評価した。0~5の各評点に対応するスポットの状態は図1の通りである。結果を表1中に示している。評点が高いほど、アスファルテン溶解分散性に優れていることを意味する。
表1から判るように、実施例1~7の潤滑油組成物はいずれも、グループII基油を基油全量基準で90質量%含むにも関わらず、アスファルテン混入条件下での高温清浄性とアスファルテン溶解分散性とを同時に高めることができた。
(D)成分(ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸無水物/エステル)を含有しない比較例1~4の潤滑油組成物は、実施例1~7の潤滑油組成物に対して、アスファルテン混入条件下での高温清浄性およびアスファルテン溶解分散性のいずれか又は両方で劣った成績を示した。
(C)無灰分散剤の含有量が本発明の範囲を下回る比較例5の潤滑油組成物は、実施例1~7の潤滑油組成物に対して、アスファルテン混入条件下での高温清浄性において劣った成績を示した。
(C)無灰分散剤の含有量が本発明の範囲を超える比較例6~7の潤滑油組成物は、実施例1~7の潤滑油組成物に対して、アスファルテン溶解分散性において劣った成績を示した。
Claims (8)
- (A)100℃における動粘度が3~6mm2/sである鉱油および合成油、100℃における動粘度が5~10mm2/sである鉱油および合成油、100℃における動粘度が9~13mm2/sである鉱油および合成油、ならびに100℃における動粘度が25~35mm2/sである鉱油および合成油からなる群から選ばれる1種または2種以上の組み合わせである潤滑油基油と、
(B)金属系清浄剤と、
(C)窒素含有無灰分散剤と、
(D)ヒドロカルビルカルボン酸無水物および/またはヒドロカルビルカルボン酸エステルとを含み、
前記(C)成分の含有量が、潤滑油組成物全量基準で窒素分として200~500ppmであることを特徴とする、トランクピストン型ディーゼル機関用潤滑油組成物。 - 前記(A)潤滑油基油が、飽和炭化水素分が90質量%以上であり、硫黄分が0.03質量%以下であり、粘度指数が80以上である基油を含む、
