Abstract

A lubricating oil composition for a trunk piston diesel engine including: (A) a lubricant base oil comprising one or more selected from the group consisting of: a mineral or synthetic oil having a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 3 to 6 mm 2 /s, a mineral or synthetic oil having a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 5 to 10 mm 2 /s, a mineral or synthetic oil having a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 9 to 13 mm 2 /s, a mineral or synthetic oil having a kinematic viscosity at 100°C of 25 to 35 mm 2 /s, and any combination thereof; (B) a metallic detergent; (C) a 10 nitrogen-containing ashless dispersant; and (D) a hydrocarbyl carboxylic anhydride, or a hydrocarbyl carboxylate ester, or any combination thereof.
