Abstract
본 발명은 과망간산염(permanganate salt) 및 망간(II) 염을 포함하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제공하고, 상기 고체상 촉매는 과산화수소 분해 시, 나노 입자 형태의 고체 상태로 존재하여, 재사용을 위해서 회수 가능함과 동시에 분해 속도 또한 우수한 장점이 있으며, 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법은 과망간산염(permanganate salt), 망간(II) 염 및 유기산을 포함하는 용액으로부터 고체상 촉매를 제조함으로써, 제조된 고체상 촉매는 촉매 반응 후에도 고형성분으로 침전됨으로 재사용 가능하여 친환경적인 장점이 있으며, 촉매 제조 기법의 단순화로 비용 절감을 달성할 수 있다.
Description
본 발명은 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 및 이의 제조 방법에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는 재사용 가능하고, 유기산으로 처리되며, 과산화수소 내에서 불균일(heterogeneous)하게 결정화된 고체상으로 존재하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 및 이의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다.
과산화수소는 수소와 산소가 결합된 화합물로 강한 산화력을 가지고 있어 산화제, 표백제, 살균제 및 산소 공급원으로 활용된다. 과산화수소는 안정성의 이유로 통상 수용액 형태로 사용되며, 시판되고 있는 과산화수소는 30 % 내지 35 %의 농도를 갖고 있다. 로켓 추진제 등의 특정 목적으로 사용될 경우 90 % 이상의 농도를 갖는 과산화수소가 사용되나 폭발의 위험성이 있어 주의를 요한다. 저농도 과산화수소는 수용액 상에 안정한 형태로 존재하나, 촉매에 의해 하기 반응식 1과 같이 분해되어 산소와 물을 생성하고 열을 방출한다.

과산화수소 분해를 일으키는 촉매는 다양하게 존재한다. 망간(Mn), 은(Ag), 백금(Pt), 철(Fe), 등의 전이금속, 알칼리 금속 및 이들의 화합물, 효소, 유기물, 요오드화칼륨(KI), 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4), 차아염소산나트륨(NaOCl) 등도 과산화수소 분해 반응을 일으킨다. 대표적인 과산화수소 분해 촉매로는 망간계열 촉매가 알려져 있으며, 주로 이산화망간(MnO2) 형태를 사용한다. 이러한 촉매를 이용하여 과산화수소를 분해하여 고농도의 산소를 얻을 수 있고, 액체연료 및 산소 발생장치에 산소 공급원으로 활용할 수 있다. 또한, 과산화수소 분해 반응 중 발생되는 HO· HOO· 등의 라디칼들은 수용액 상에 존재하는 오염원들을 산화 및 제거하기 위한 공정에도 활용된다.
과산화수소 분해 반응을 통한 산소 발생 또는 오염원 제거의 경우 과산화수소 함량 및 촉매의 성능이 산소량 및 오염원 저감 성능을 좌우한다. 망간계열 촉매인 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4)의 경우, 수용액 상에서 균일한(homogeneous) 형태로 존재하므로, 저온 영역에서도 빠른 분해 반응을 유도할 수 있다. 하지만, 반응 종료 후 수용액 상에 촉매 성분이 균일하게 분산되어 있어 회수가 용이하지 않고, 이로 인한 추가적인 환경 문제를 유발할 수 있다. 반면, 고체형 촉매는 과산화수소 분해 반응 후 수용액 상에 침전되어 층분리되기 때문에 회수가 용이하고, 촉매를 재사용할 수 있다는 이점이 있지만, 과산화수소 내에서 불균일(heterogeneous) 상태로 존재하여 촉매 반응을 하므로 분해 반응 속도가 느리다는 단점이 있다(대한민국 등록특허 제 10-2013-0030314호).
이에, 본 발명자들은 저온에서 빠른 과산화수소 분해능을 보이면서도, 반응 종료 후 회수가 용이한 형태로 침전되어 재사용이 가능한 고체상 촉매를 개발하였고, 과망간산염 및 망간(II) 염을 화학적으로 처리하여 반응 후에도 고형성분으로 침전될 수 있는 방법을 개발하여 본 발명을 완성하였다.
본 발명의 목적은 과산화수소 분해 능력이 향상된 고체상 촉매 및 이의 제조 방법을 제공하는 데 있다.
상기 목적을 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명은
과망간산염(permanganate salt) 및 망간(II) 염을 포함하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제공한다.
또한, 본 발명은
과망간산염(permanganate salt), 망간(II) 염 및 유기산을 포함하는 수용액을 준비하는 단계(단계 1);
상기 단계 1의 수용액을 숙성(aging) 처리하여, 고체상 촉매를 형성하는 단계(단계 2); 및
상기 단계 2에서 형성된 고체상 촉매를 세정하고, 건조 및 소성하는 단계(단계 3);를 포함하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법을 제공한다.
나아가, 본 발명은

제1항의 고체상 촉매를 과산화수소에 침지시켜 상기 과산화수소를 물과 산소로 분해시키는 단계(단계 a);
상기 단계 a의 촉매 반응 후, 잔류하는 고체상 촉매를 회수하는 단계(단계 b);를 포함하는 과산화수소 분해 방법을 제공한다.
본 발명에 따른 고체상 촉매는 과산화수소 분해 시, 나노 입자 형태의 고체 상태로 존재하여, 재사용을 위해서 회수 가능함과 동시에 분해 속도 또한 우수한 장점이 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 고체상 촉매 제조 방법은 과망간산염(permanganate salt), 망간(II) 염 및 유기산을 포함하는 용액으로부터 고체상 촉매를 제조함으로써, 제조된 고체상 촉매는 촉매 반응 후에도 고형성분으로 침전됨으로 재사용 가능하여 친환경적인 장점이 있으며, 촉매 제조 기법의 단순화로 비용 절감을 달성할 수 있다.

이하, 하기 실시예 및 실험예에 의하여 본 발명을 상세히 설명한다.
단, 하기 실시예 및 실험예는 본 발명을 예시하는 것일 뿐, 발명의 범위가 실시예 및 실험예에 의해 한정되는 것은 아니다.
< 실시예 1> 아세트산(acetic acid) 처리된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조
단계 1 : 20 ml의 증류수에 1 M 농도의 과망간산칼륨 10 ml와 1 M 농도의 망간(II) 아세테이트 30 ml를 용해시키고, 99 % 농도의 아세트산을 추가로 혼합하였으며, 이후 상온에서 10 분 동안 교반하여 혼합물을 제조하였다.
단계 2 : 단계 1에서 제조된 혼합물을 완전 밀봉한 후, 상온 및 상압 분위기의 암실(darkroom)에서 72 시간 동안 숙성(aging) 처리 하였다.
단계 3 : 단계 2를 수행한 혼합물 내에 생성된 고체상 촉매를 회수하고, 에탄올 90 ml로 세정하였으며, 70 ℃의 감압 오븐에서 건조 후 200 ℃의 온도에서 소성하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
< 실시예 2> 포름산(formic acid) 처리된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조
상기 실시예 1의 단계 1에서, 유기산으로 아세트산 대신 96% 농도의 포름산 15 ml을 사용한 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 수행하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
< 실시예 3> 옥살산(oxalic acid) 처리된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조
상기 실시예 1의 단계 1에서, 유기산으로 아세트산 대신 3 M 농도의 옥살산 8 ml을 사용한 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 수행하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
< 실시예 4> 시트르산(citric acid) 처리된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조
상기 실시예 1의 단계 1에서, 유기산으로 아세트산 대신 12 M 농도의 시트르산 8 ml을 사용한 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 수행하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
이하, 본 발명의 바람직한 실시 형태들을 다음과 같이 설명한다. 그러나, 본 발명의 실시 형태는 여러 가지 다른 형태로 변형될 수 있으며, 본 발명의 범위가 이하 설명하는 실시 형태로 한정되는 것은 아니다. 또한, 본 발명의 실시 형태는 당해 기술분야에서 평균적인 지식을 가진 자에게 본 발명을 더욱 완전하게 설명하기 위해서 제공되는 것이다. 덧붙여, 명세서 전체에서 어떤 구성요소를 "포함"한다는 것은 특별히 반대되는 기재가 없는 한 다른 구성요소를 제외하는 것이 아니라 다른 구성요소를 더 포함할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다.

이하, 본 발명에 따른 과망간산염(permanganate salt) 및 망간(II) 염을 포함하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매에 대하여 상세히 설명한다.
종래 망간계열 촉매인 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4)의 경우, 수용액 상에서 균일한(homogeneous) 형태로 존재하므로, 저온 영역에서도 빠른 분해 반응을 유도할 수 있다. 하지만, 반응 종료 후 수용액 상에 촉매 성분이 균일하게 분산되어 있어 회수가 용이하지 않고, 이로 인한 추가적인 환경 문제를 유발할 수 있다. 반면, 고체형 촉매는 과산화수소 분해 반응 후 수용액 상에 침전되어 층분리되기 때문에 회수가 용이하고, 촉매를 재사용할 수 있다는 이점이 있지만, 과산화수소 내에서 불균일(heterogeneous) 상태로 존재하여 촉매 반응을 하므로 분해 반응 속도가 느리다는 단점이 있다.
본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매는 상기 균일 촉매와 불균일 촉매의 단점을 개선한 것으로, 상기 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매는 유기산 처리를 통해 제조됨으로써, 과산화수소 내에서 불균일(heterogeneous)하게 나노 입자 상태로 존재할 수 있어, 과산화수소의 분해 속도를 높일 뿐만 아니라, 분해 이후 회수 또한 용이하게 이루어 질 수 있다.
상기 나노 입자 형태는, 과망간산염과 망간(II) 염이 망간산화물로 전환된 나노 입자의 집합체(aggregate)와 같은 형태로 존재할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 과망간산염(permanganate salt) 및 망간(II) 염을 포함하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매에 있어서, 상기 과망간산염(permanganate salt)은 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4), 과망간산아연(Zn(MnO4)2), 과망간산칼슘(CaMnO4), 과망간산은(AgMnO4), 과망간산나트륨(NaMnO4), 과망간산바륨(Br(MnO4)2), 과망간산마그네슘(Mg(MnO4)2), 과망간산스트론튬(Sr(MnO4)2), 과망간산리튬(LiMnO4), 과망간산카드뮴(Cd(MnO4)2), 과망간산세슘(CsMnO4) 및 과망간산루비듐(RbMnO4) 등을 사용할 수 있고, 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4)인 것이 바람직하나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
나아가, 상기 망간(II) 염은 망간 아세테이트(manganese acetate), 망간 니트레이트(manganese nitrate), 망간 클로라이드(manganese chloride), 망간 아세틸아세토네이트(manganese acetylacetonate), 망간 브로마이드(manganese bromide), 망간 카보네이트(manganese carbonate), 망간 플루오라이드(manganese fluoride), 망간 아이오다이드(manganese iodide) 및 망간 설페이트(manganese sulfate) 등을 사용할 수 있고, 망간 아세테이트(manganese acetate)인 것이 바람직하나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
상기 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매로 과산화수소 분해 시, 물과 산소 기체가 발생하는 발열 반응이 진행되며, 산소 발생 속도는 8 L/min·g 내지 22 L/min·g일 수 있고 9 L/min·g 내지 21 L/min·g일 수 있으며, 10 L/min·g 내지 20 L/min·g일 수 있다.

이하, 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법에 대하여 각 단계별로 상세히 설명한다.
먼저, 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법에 있어서, 상기 단계 1은 과망간산염(permanganate salt), 망간(II) 염 및 유기산을 포함하는 수용액을 준비하는 단계이다.
상기 단계 1에서는 고체상 촉매를 형성하기 위한 전 단계로, 고체상 촉매에 포함되는 과망간산염과 망간(II) 염을 증류수에 침지시키고, 유기산을 혼합한다.
상기 단계 1의 과망간산염(permanganate salt)은 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4), 과망간산아연(Zn(MnO4)2), 과망간산칼슘(CaMnO4), 과망간산은(AgMnO4), 과망간산나트륨(NaMnO4), 과망간산바륨(Br(MnO4)2), 과망간산마그네슘(Mg(MnO4)2), 과망간산스트론튬(Sr(MnO4)2), 과망간산리튬(LiMnO4), 과망간산카드뮴(Cd(MnO4)2), 과망간산세슘(CsMnO4) 및 과망간산루비듐(RbMnO4) 등을 사용할 수 있고, 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4)인 것이 바람직하나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
상기 단계 1의 망간(II) 염은 망간 아세테이트(manganese acetate), 망간 니트레이트(manganese nitrate), 망간 클로라이드(manganese chloride), 망간 아세틸아세토네이트(manganese acetylacetonate), 망간 브로마이드(manganese bromide), 망간 카보네이트(manganese carbonate), 망간 플루오라이드(manganese fluoride), 망간 아이오다이드(manganese iodide) 및 망간 설페이트(manganese sulfate) 등을 사용할 수 있고, 망간 아세테이트(manganese acetate)인 것이 바람직하나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
상기 단계 1의 유기산은 포름산(formic acid), 아세트산(acetic acid), 옥살산(oxalic acid) 및 시트르산(citric acid) 등을 사용할 수 있으나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
또한, 상기 단계 1의 혼합물 제조 시, 상기 과망간산염과 망간(II) 염의 일례로 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4) 및 망간 아세테이트(manganese acetate)를 사용할 수 있으며, 이때 과망간산칼륨과 망간 아세테이트의 혼합 중량비는 1 : 1 내지 5 일 수 있고, 1 : 2 내지 4 일 수 있으며, 1 : 2.8 내지 3.6 일 수 있으나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
더욱 나아가, 상기 단계 1의 수용액 제조 시, 상기 유기산의 농도는 50.0 % 내지 99.9% 일 수 있고, 75.0 % 내지 99.9% 일 수 있으며, 90.0 % 내지 99.9% 일 수 있으나, 상기 과망간산염과 망간(II)염을 처리하여 과산화수소 내에서 고체상으로 존재하는 촉매를 제조할 수 있는 조건이라면 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
다음으로, 본 발명에 따른 고체상 촉매 제조 방법에 있어서, 상기 단계 2는 상기 단계 1의 수용액을 숙성(aging) 처리하여, 고체상 촉매를 형성하는 단계이다.
상기 단계 2에서는 과산화수소 내에서 촉매 반응 시 고체상으로 존재하는 촉매를 형성하기 위하여 상기 단계 1에서 제조된 수용액을 숙성한다.
상기 단계 2의 숙성 처리는 상기 수용액을 암실(darkroom) 분위기에서 밀봉하고, 상압 및 상온에서 5 시간 내지 80 시간 동안 수행될 수 있고, 35 시간 내지 75 시간 동안 수행될 수 있으며, 65 시간 내지 75 시간 동안 수행될 수 있으나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
다음으로, 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법에 있어서, 상기 단계 3은 상기 단계 2에서 형성된 고체상 촉매를 세정하고, 건조 및 소성하는 단계이다.
상기 단계 3에서는 최종적으로 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하기 위해, 상기 단계 2에서 형성된 고체상 촉매를 회수하고, 세정하며, 건조 및 소성한다.
상기 단계 3의 세정은 증류수, 알코올 및 아세톤 등으로 세정할 수 있으나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
상기 단계 3의 건조는 상압 이하에서 50 ℃ 내지 110 ℃의 온도로 수행할 수 있다.
상기 단계 3의 소성은 공기 또는 불활성 기체 분위기에서 50 ℃ 내지 350 ℃의 온도로 수행될 수 있고, 60 ℃ 내지 330 ℃의 온도로 수행될 수 있으며, 65 ℃ 내지 300 ℃의 온도로 수행될 수 있으나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.

상기의 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 포함하는 과산화수소 분해 장치를 제공한다.
이하, 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해 장치에 대하여 상세히 설명한다.
본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해 장치는
과산화수소 저장탱크;
상기 과산화수소 저장탱크와 연결되며, 내부에 상기의 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매가 충전된 반응기;
상기 반응기와 연결되며 상기 반응기에서 과산화수소 분해반응에 의해 발생된 산소를 저장하는 산소 저장부;를 포함할 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해 장치에 있어서, 상기 반응기는 과산화수소 저장탱크로부터 유입되는 과산화수소를 상기 반응기에 충전된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매로 분해할 수 있다.
이때, 과산화수소 분해 반응 종료 후 반응기 내에 생성된 여액인 물로부터 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 회수할 수 있고, 반응 시 생성되는 산소는 상기 산소 저장부로 저장될 수 있다.
더욱 나아가, 본 발명은
상기의 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 과산화수소에 침지시켜 상기 과산화수소를 물과 산소로 분해시키는 단계(단계 a);

먼저, 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해 방법에 있어서, 상기 단계 a는 상기의 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 과산화수소에 침지시켜 상기 과산화수소를 물과 산소로 분해시키는 단계이다.
상기 단계 a에서는 하기 반응식 1과 같이 과산화수소를 물과 산소로 분해하기 위하여, 과산화수소에 상기 고체상 촉매를 침지시킨다.

상기 단계 a에서, 과산화수소의 농도는 5 % 내지 50 %의 농도일 수 있고, 1 ℃ 내지 50 ℃의 저온 분위기에서 수행될 수 있으나, 이에 제한하는 것은 아니다.
다음으로, 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해 방법에 있어서, 상기 단계 b는 상기 단계 a의 촉매 반응 후, 잔류하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 회수하는 단계이다.
상기 단계 b에서는 상기 반응 후 물에 잔류하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 회수하여, 재사용 할 수 있도록 한다.
상기 회수된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매는 과산화수소 분해 촉매로 재 사용 시, 본래 분해능의 70 % 내지 90 %의 성능을 발휘할 수 있다.
이하, 하기 실시예 및 실험예에 의하여 본 발명을 상세히 설명한다.

상기 실시예 1의 단계 1에서, 유기산으로 아세트산 대신 96% 농도의 포름산 15 ml을 사용한 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 수행하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
< 실시예 3> 옥살산(oxalic acid) 처리된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조
상기 실시예 1의 단계 1에서, 유기산으로 아세트산 대신 3 M 농도의 옥살산 8 ml을 사용한 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 수행하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
< 실시예 4> 시트르산(citric acid) 처리된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조
상기 실시예 1의 단계 1에서, 유기산으로 아세트산 대신 12 M 농도의 시트르산 8 ml을 사용한 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 수행하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
<비교예 1> 균일 촉매
Junsei 사의 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4)(CAS No.: 7722-64-7, Lot No.: 2015C1513, Assay: min. 99.3%)을 구비하였다.
<비교예 2> 불균일 촉매
Sigma-Aldrich 사의 이산화망간(MnO2)(CAS No.: 1313-13-9, 025-001-00-3
Lot No.: MKBS8414V, Assay: min. 99.99%(trace metal basis))을 구비하였다.
< 비교예 3> 프로피온산( propionic acid) 처리된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조
상기 실시예 1의 단계 1에서, 유기산으로 아세트산 대신 99% 농도의 프로피온산 30 ml을 사용한 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 수행하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
< 비교예 4> 부티르산(butyric acid) 처리된 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조
상기 실시예 1의 단계 1에서, 유기산으로 아세트산 대신 99% 농도의 부티르산 40 ml을 사용한 것을 제외하고, 상기 실시예 1과 동일하게 수행하여 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제조하였다.
<실험예 1> 결정화 여부 비교 분석
본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매가 처리되는 유기산 종류에 따른 결정화 여부를 확인하기 위하여, 상기 실시예 1 내지 실시예 4, 비교예 3 및 비교예 4에서 제조된 고체상 촉매를 육안으로 확인하였으며, 그 결과를 하기 표 1로 나타내었다.

상기 표 1에 나타낸 바와 같이, 프로피온산과 부티르산을 사용한 비교예 3 및 비교예 4의 경우 고체상의 침전물 촉매가 생성되지 않았고, 아세트산, 포름산, 옥살산, 시트르산을 사용한 실시예 1 내지 실시예 4는 고체상의 침전물 촉매가 생성된 것을 확인하였다.
<실험예 2>
과산화수소 촉매의 산소 발생 속도 비교 분석
본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매의 과산화수소 분해 시 산소 발생 속도를 확인하기 위하여, 상기 실시예 1, 비교예 1 및 비교예 2의 촉매를 2 ℃의 온도의 10 % 과산화수소 20 ml에 침지시켜 측정하였으며, 그 결과를 하기 표 2 및 도 1에 나타내었다.

상기 표 2 및 도 1에 나타낸 바와 같이, 과산화수소에 균일하게 존재하는 과망간산칼륨 촉매인 비교예 1은 40.8 L/min·g의 가장 높은 산소 발생 속도를 나타내었고, 과산화수소에 불균일하게 고체상으로 존재하는 실시예 1은 15.4 L/min·g의 산소 발생 속도를 나타내었으며, 마찬가지로 과산화수소에 불균일하게 고체상으로 존재하는 비교예 2는 0.7 L/min·g의 산소 발생 속도를 나타내어, 고체상 촉매의 산소 발생 속도는 실시예 1이 가장 우수한 것을 확인하였다.
또한, 실시예 1을 사용하여 과산화수소를 분해하고, 회수하여 재사용했을 시의 산소 발생 속도는 원촉매 대비 대략 80 %의 성능인 12 L/min·g의 산소 발생 속도를 나타내는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
<실험예 3> 과산화수소 분해 후 여액 분석
본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매의 과산화수소 분해 후 여액의 반응성 및 pH를 확인하기 위하여, 상기 실시예 1, 비교예 1 및 비교예 2의 촉매를 이용하여 과산화수소를 분해한 뒤 그 여액의 pH를 측정하고, 과산화수소와 추가로 반응시켰으며, 그 결과를 도 2 및 하기 표 3 및 도 2에 나타내었다.

상기 표 3 및 도 2에 나타낸 바와 같이, 과산화수소에 균일하게 존재하는 과망간산칼륨 촉매인 비교예 1은 과산화수소 분해 반응으로 생성된 KOH 등으로 인해 pH 9의 염기성을 보였고, 과산화수소에 불균일하게 고체상으로 존재하는 실시예 1은 증류수와 동일한 pH 7을 나타냈으며, 마찬가지로 과산화수소에 불균일하게 고체상으로 존재하는 비교예 2는 pH 7을 나타내었다.
또한, 비교예 1은 과산화수소를 추가로 주입하였을 시 반응이 발생하여 여액 내 잔존하는 촉매 성분을 확인할 수 있었고, 층분리가 일어난 실시예 1 및 비교예 2는 과산화수소를 추가로 주입하여도 반응이 발생하지 않은 것을 확인하였다.
이로써 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매의 유기산 처리에 따른 과산화수소 분해 성능, 과산화수소 반응 후 잔류하는 형태를 확인하였으며, 기존 고체상 촉매인 이산화망간보다 월등한 과산화수소 분해 속도를 나타내면서도 반응 후 고체상으로 잔류하여 회수가 용이한 장점을 확인할 수 있었다.
본 발명은 과망간산염(permanganate salt) 및 망간(II) 염을 포함하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 제공하고, 상기 고체상 촉매는 과산화수소 분해 시, 나노 입자 형태의 고체 상태로 존재하여, 재사용을 위해서 회수 가능함과 동시에 분해 속도 또한 우수한 장점이 있으며, 본 발명에 따른 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법은 과망간산염(permanganate salt), 망간(II) 염 및 유기산을 포함하는 용액으로부터 고체상 촉매를 제조함으로써, 제조된 고체상 촉매는 촉매 반응 후에도 고형성분으로 침전됨으로 재사용 가능하여 친환경적인 장점이 있으며, 촉매 제조 기법의 단순화로 비용 절감을 달성할 수 있다.
Claims (10)
- 과망간산염(permanganate salt) 및 망간(II) 염을 포함하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 고체상 촉매는 나노 입자의 불균일(heterogeneous) 촉매인 것을 특징으로 하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 과망간산염(permanganate salt)은 과망간산칼륨(KMnO4), 과망간산아연(Zn(MnO4)2), 과망간산칼슘(CaMnO4), 과망간산은(AgMnO4), 과망간산나트륨(NaMnO4), 과망간산바륨(Br(MnO4)2), 과망간산마그네슘(Mg(MnO4)2), 과망간산스트론튬(Sr(MnO4)2), 과망간산리튬(LiMnO4), 과망간산카드뮴(Cd(MnO4)2), 과망간산세슘(CsMnO4) 및 과망간산루비듐(RbMnO4)으로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택된 1종인 것을 특징으로 하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 망간(II) 염은 망간 아세테이트(manganese acetate), 망간 니트레이트(manganese nitrate), 망간 클로라이드(manganese chloride), 망간 아세틸아세토네이트(manganese acetylacetonate), 망간 브로마이드(manganese bromide), 망간 카보네이트(manganese carbonate), 망간 플루오라이드(manganese fluoride), 망간 아이오다이드(manganese iodide) 및 망간 설페이트(manganese sulfate)로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매.
- 과망간산염(permanganate salt), 망간(II) 염 및 유기산을 포함하는 수용액을 준비하는 단계(단계 1);상기 단계 1의 수용액을 숙성(aging) 처리하여, 고체상 촉매를 형성하는 단계(단계 2); 및상기 단계 2에서 형성된 고체상 촉매를 세정하고, 건조 및 소성하는 단계(단계 3);를 포함하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 단계 1의 유기산은 포름산(formic acid), 아세트산(acetic acid), 옥살산(oxalic acid) 및 시트르산(citric acid)으로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상인 것을 특징으로 하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 단계 2의 숙성 처리는 상기 혼합물을 암실 분위기에서 밀봉하고, 상압 및 상온에서 5 시간 내지 80 시간 동안 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 단계 3의 소성은 공기 또는 불활성 기체 분위기에서 50 ℃ 내지 350 ℃의 온도로 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매 제조 방법.
- 제1항의 과산화수소 분해용 고체상 촉매를 포함하는 과산화수소 분해 장치.
- 제1항의 고체상 촉매를 과산화수소에 침지시켜 상기 과산화수소를 물과 산소로 분해시키는 단계(단계 a); 및상기 단계 a가 수행된 후, 잔류하는 고체상 촉매를 회수하는 단계(단계 b);를 포함하는 과산화수소 분해 방법.
