Definitions
- the present invention relates to an ultraviolet sterilizer that uses floating microorganisms such as bacteria, molds, and viruses in the air as processing objects, and an air conditioner equipped with the ultraviolet sterilizer.
- Ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 200 nm to 360 nm not only act on nucleic acid which is a protoplasm of bacteria to inhibit DNA replication and take away the growth ability but also destroy proteins such as cytoplasm and cell membrane forming substances. It is known to have an action of killing bacteria. And the ultraviolet sterilizer which irradiates such an ultraviolet-ray and sterilizes air etc. is put in practical use. An ultraviolet sterilizer irradiates ultraviolet rays with respect to the air etc. which flowed in, and sterilizes the microorganisms in air (for example, refer patent documents 1 and 2).
- the upper part of one of the two opposing side surfaces of the sterilization chamber is provided with an air inlet so that the irradiated ultraviolet rays do not leak from the sterilization chamber in the box-shaped housing.
- the lower part of the other side is opened as an air outlet, and air is passed through the sterilization chamber through these openings.
- the ultraviolet sterilization apparatus of patent document 2 installs a reflecting plate in the wall surface in the flow path through which the fluid flows, and irradiates ultraviolet rays from an oblique direction with respect to the reflecting plate. By doing so, ultraviolet rays are reflected multiple times to sterilize the fluid.
- the ultraviolet sterilizer of Patent Document 1 requires many ultraviolet light emitting diodes and a relatively large sterilization chamber.
- the ultraviolet sterilization apparatus of Patent Document 2 has a wide ultraviolet irradiation range in the fluid traveling direction in order to reflect the ultraviolet light a plurality of times and increase the amount of ultraviolet irradiation. That is, the conventional ultraviolet sterilizer has a low sterilization efficiency per unit volume, and requires a larger apparatus.
- the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object thereof is to provide an ultraviolet sterilizer and an air conditioner that efficiently sterilize a fluid in a space-saving manner.
- the ultraviolet sterilization apparatus is an ultraviolet sterilization apparatus that sterilizes air using ultraviolet rays, and includes a sterilization light film generation unit that emits ultraviolet light to generate a film-like sterilization light film.
- An air conditioner according to the present invention is an air conditioner that performs air conditioning on captured air, and includes an ultraviolet sterilizer that emits ultraviolet rays to the air.
- the ultraviolet sterilizer is a film-like sterilizer based on the emitted ultraviolet rays.
- a sterilizing light film generating unit for generating a light film is provided.
- the germicidal light film generating unit emits ultraviolet rays to generate a film-shaped germicidal light film, the fluid can be sterilized efficiently in a small space.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic sectional view of the ultraviolet sterilizer along the line AA in FIG. 2. It is explanatory drawing which illustrates the shape of the reflecting plate which the ultraviolet sterilizer of FIG. 3 has. It is explanatory drawing regarding the incident angle and reflection angle of light.
- FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram illustrating an inclination angle of a reflecting surface with respect to a flat surface when ultraviolet rays are vertically incident on the reflecting plate illustrated in FIG. 4.
- FIG. 5 is a schematic diagram illustrating an inclination angle of a reflecting surface with respect to a flat surface when ultraviolet rays are vertically reflected from the reflecting plate illustrated in FIG. 4.
- An explanation will be given of the tilt angle required to reflect the ultraviolet light incident perpendicularly to the reflecting plate constituting one side of the polygon which is the cross-sectional shape of the reflecting portion shown in FIG. 3 to the reflecting plate constituting one specific side.
- FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram for explaining an inclination angle necessary for vertically reflecting ultraviolet rays from a reflecting plate constituting one side of a polygon which is a cross-sectional shape of the reflecting portion shown in FIG. 3 to a reflecting plate constituting a specific side.

Can be suppressed. That is, the ultraviolet rays reflected by the reflector 3 of the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a only decrease in irradiation intensity due to reflection, and proceed with almost no attenuation of intensity even when passing through the air. Therefore, ultraviolet rays are applied to the entire inner surface of the reflecting portion 30a of the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a, and the intensity thereof increases from the intensity at the time of emission according to the number of reflections.
- the intensity of ultraviolet rays increases according to the number of reflections, and the sterilization efficiency of microorganisms contained in the air can be increased.

- the ultraviolet irradiation amount by the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a is defined like the following formula 1.
- the ultraviolet intensity is the intensity of the ultraviolet light incident on each of the reflecting plates 3 when each of the reflecting plates 3 is reflected until the total radiant flux of the ultraviolet rays emitted from the emitting portion 20a is attenuated to 1%. It is set as an amount obtained by integrating the intensity of ultraviolet rays reflected at.
- the reflectance of ultraviolet rays is 95%.
- the total radiant flux of ultraviolet rays is 1.2 W. .
- the irradiation time is 0.0033 s when the thickness of the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a in the direction of the air path is 1 cm because the wind speed by the blower 15 is 3 m / s.
- the ultraviolet rays emitted from the emission portion 20a are continuously reflected by the reflector 3 until the total radiant flux is attenuated to 1% or less, and the entire cross section of the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a is irradiated with the ultraviolet rays.

- the reflecting plate 3K it becomes 4.5 mW ⁇ s / cm 2 or more
- the emitting part 20a and the reflecting plate 3F it becomes 2.2 mW ⁇ s / cm 2 or more.
- the output part 20a and the reflecting plate 3F are surfaces where reflection is turned back, the number of times of reflection is smaller than that of other reflecting plates, so that the amount of ultraviolet irradiation is about half.
- the integrated value of the irradiation amount of each overlapping ultraviolet light becomes the ultraviolet irradiation amount.

- the vertical axis indicates the survival rate of floating influenza, that is, the rate of influenza that can be infected with respect to the initial floating influenza of 2.5 ⁇ 10 5 PFU / m 3 .
- the horizontal axis represents the irradiation amount of UV-LED light having a wavelength of 254 nm.
- PFU is an abbreviation of “place forming unit”.
- a survival rate falls exponentially with the increase in the amount of ultraviolet irradiation.
- the survival rate of airborne influenza is 0.01 at an ultraviolet irradiation amount of 2 mW ⁇ s / cm 2 .
- the survival rate of floating influenza is irradiated with 2 mW ⁇ s / cm 2 of ultraviolet light having a wavelength of 254 nm, 99% of floating influenza can be inactivated.
- the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a has only the total radiation flux 1.2W of the ultraviolet rays emitted from the emitting portion 20a, and the ultraviolet irradiation amount is 99% less than the floating influenza in all areas on the cross section in the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a. It can be kept at 2 mW ⁇ s / cm 2 or more that can be activated. Therefore, even in a case where the side surface is open like the cylindrical case 40a, the ultraviolet rays irradiated from the emitting portion 20a are reflected outside the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a with respect to the air traveling direction Da. Therefore, it is not necessary to consider the deterioration of the member and the influence on the human body due to the leakage of ultraviolet rays.
- the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a since the ultraviolet sterilizer 10a has a small thickness d in the air travel direction Da, unlike the ultraviolet sterilizer of Patent Document 2, the ultraviolet irradiation distance with respect to the air travel direction Da does not increase. Therefore, the apparatus can be prevented from being enlarged and can be suitably applied to an air conditioner or the like.
