It is preferable that one of the strength members 6A (strength member 6A2) is disposed in a region surrounded by a virtual line that is inclined and extends radially outward.
- the semi-cylindrical outer sheath 2 When the cable body 1 is taken out from the semi-cylindrical outer sheath 2 divided by the lip cord 4 by making the positions of the lip cord 4 and the strength member 6 in the cable circumferential direction close to each other, the semi-cylindrical outer sheath The opening direction of 2 and the direction in which the cable body 1 is easily bent can be matched. - the outer sheath 2 is formed in a corrugated shape in which protrusions 2 a extending in the circumferential direction and grooves 2 b extending in the circumferential direction are alternately formed in the cable length direction. It is desirable that By forming the outer sheath 2 in a corrugated shape, the strength of the outer sheath 2 can be increased and the function of protecting the cable body 1 can be enhanced.
- the extending direction of the protrusion 2a and the groove 2b may not be strictly the circumferential direction of the outer sheath 2, and may be inclined with respect to the circumferential direction of the outer sheath 2.
- the reinforcing sheet 3 and the outer sheath 2 are cut by the lip cord 4.
- the outer sheath 2 is divided into two and becomes a half cylinder.

- a part of the optical fiber 8 is cut, and the optical fiber 8 is connected to an optical fiber provided at a branch destination.
- the positions of the lip cord 4 and the overlapping portion 13 in the cable circumferential direction are different, so the position of the lip cord 4 in the cable circumferential direction is a place where the reinforcing sheet 3 is a single layer. Therefore, the reinforcing sheet 3 can be reliably cut by the lip cord 4. Therefore, the workability of taking out the optical fiber 8 for intermediate rear branching or the like is improved. Further, since the reinforcing sheet 3 can be surely cut by the lip cord 4, it is not necessary to set the strength (for example, tensile strength) of the lip cord 4 high. Therefore, cost reduction can also be achieved. Since the optical fiber cable 10 includes the reinforcing sheet 3 that surrounds the cable body 1, the optical fiber 8 can be prevented from being damaged due to animal damage.
