L'invention est caractérisée en ce que la couche de base en matériau synthétique forme un revêtement en matériau synthétique ponctuellement élastique qui présente au moins sur une face, de préférence sur sa face tournée vers la couche de revêtement dur, une structure profilée, et en ce que la couche de revêtement dur est composée d'une pluralité de dalles de revêtement dur liées, de préférence collées, les unes aux autres. L'invention concerne par ailleurs un procédé de fabrication d'un revêtement pour terrain de sport extérieur, ainsi qu'un procédé permettant de transformer un court de tennis existant en un court de tennis muni d'un revêtement pour terrain de sport extérieur.
