Definitions

  • This disclosure relates to a high-pressure pump that pressurizes and discharges fuel.
  • a high pressure pump in which a discharge valve and a relief valve are integrally provided in a discharge passage through which fuel pressurized in a pressurizing chamber flows is known.
  • a spherical valve is used as the valve body of the relief valve.
  • the high-pressure pump of Patent Document 1 includes a holder that holds a valve body of a relief valve, and a biasing member that biases the valve body toward the valve seat via the holder.
  • the movement of the valve body and the holder is not guided by other members, and can move relatively freely in the space on the pressurizing chamber side with respect to the valve seat.
  • the fuel discharged from the pressurizing chamber of the high pressure pump flows around the valve body and the holder and is discharged to the outside of the high pressure pump. For this reason, the valve body and the holder may move or vibrate due to the flow of fuel. If the valve element moves or vibrates while the valve element is in contact with the valve seat, the valve seat or the valve element may be worn. If the valve seat or the valve body is worn, the valve opening pressure of the relief valve may change over time.
  • valve body and the holder since the valve body and the holder are formed separately, the valve body and the holder may move relative to each other, and the position of the valve body may become unstable. As a result, wear of the valve seat or the valve body may be promoted.
  • the present disclosure has been made in view of the above-described points, and an object thereof is to provide a high-pressure pump that can suppress a change over time in the valve opening pressure of a relief valve member.
  • the high-pressure pump includes a pump body, a valve seat portion, a discharge valve member, a discharge valve biasing member, a relief valve member, a relief valve biasing member, and a support portion.
  • the pump body has a pressurizing chamber for pressurizing the fuel, and a discharge passage through which the fuel pressurized and discharged in the pressurizing chamber flows.
  • the valve seat portion has a valve seat portion main body, a discharge valve passage, a relief valve passage, a discharge valve seat, and a relief valve seat.
  • the valve seat body is provided in the discharge passage so as to divide the discharge passage into a first space that is a space on the pressurizing chamber side and a second space that is a space on the opposite side of the pressurizing chamber.
  • the discharge valve passage is provided in the valve seat body so as to connect the first space and the second space.
  • the relief valve passage is provided in the valve seat main body so as to connect the second space and the first space and not to communicate with the discharge valve passage.
  • the discharge valve seat is formed in an annular shape around the opening on the second space side of the discharge valve passage of the valve seat body.
  • the relief valve seat is formed in an annular shape around the opening on the first space side of the relief valve passage of the valve seat body.
  • the discharge valve member is provided in the second space so as to be able to come into contact with the discharge valve seat, and opens and closes the discharge valve passage when separated from the discharge valve seat or in contact with the discharge valve seat.
  • the discharge valve biasing member biases the discharge valve member toward the discharge valve seat.
  • the relief valve member has a relief valve main body and a relief valve seat portion.
  • the relief valve body is formed in a rod shape.
  • the relief valve seat portion is formed integrally with the relief valve main body at the first axial end of the relief valve main body so as to be able to contact the relief valve seat.
  • the relief valve member is provided in the first space so as to be capable of reciprocating in the axial direction.
  • the relief valve biasing member biases the relief valve member toward the relief valve seat.
  • the support part has a support part body that slidably supports the outer wall of the relief valve body so as to guide the axial reciprocation of the relief valve member.
  • the support body of the support section slidably supports the outer wall of the relief valve body so as to guide the axial reciprocation of the relief valve member. Therefore, even if the fuel discharged from the pressurizing chamber of the high pressure pump flows around the relief valve member, the relief valve seat portion of the relief valve member is prevented from moving or vibrating in the radial direction relative to the relief valve seat. The Thereby, abrasion of a relief valve seat or a relief valve seat part can be controlled. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the change with time of the valve opening pressure of the relief valve member.
  • the relief valve seat portion is formed integrally with the relief valve body. Therefore, the relief valve seat portion and the relief valve main body do not move relative to each other. Therefore, for example, the position of the relief valve seat portion is stabilized as compared with a configuration in which the relief valve body and the relief valve seat portion are formed separately. Therefore, wear of the relief valve seat or the relief valve seat portion can be further suppressed.
