Then, the average value is compared with the set threshold value, and when the average value exceeds the set threshold value, the robot is diagnosed as abnormal or broken.
- the failure is diagnosed based on whether or not the disturbance torque exceeds a predetermined set threshold value. Therefore, regardless of the operating posture of the robot or the weight of a workpiece held by the robot hand, An anomaly was detected.
- an object of the present invention is to exclude the influence of a single outlier to improve the diagnosis accuracy of the failure, and to reduce the failure by an inexpensive system configuration.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a failure diagnosis apparatus and method that can be diagnosed.
- the failure diagnosis apparatus and method calculate the change from the reference value for each of the acquired disturbance torque values, and the change from the reference value is a predetermined threshold.
- the disturbance torque value is accumulated except for the disturbance torque value which is the above.
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an entire configuration of a failure diagnosis system according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 is a block diagram for explaining the procedure for obtaining the disturbance torque.
- FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing a procedure of disturbance torque selection processing by the failure diagnosis apparatus according to the embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing a procedure of failure diagnosis processing by the failure diagnosis device according to the embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a fault diagnosis system provided with the fault diagnosis apparatus according to the present embodiment.
- the failure diagnosis system 100 includes a robot 1, a robot control device 2, and a failure diagnosis device 3.
- the robot 1 is, as an example of a mechanical device, a multi-axis teaching playback type robot, and an articulated robot. However, the robot 1 may be a single-axis machine instead of a multi-axis machine.
- the robot 1 is provided with a plurality of motor drive systems as joint axes which are operation axes, but FIG. 1 shows a motor drive system for one axis.
- the robot arm 5 is driven by a servomotor (hereinafter simply referred to as a motor) 6 via a reduction gear 8.
- the motor 6 is accompanied by a pulse coder (pulse generator or encoder) 7 which is a detector of rotational angle position and velocity.
- the robot control device 2 includes an operation general control unit 9, a communication unit 10, a servo control unit 11, and a servo amplifier unit 14.
- the servo control unit 11 includes a disturbance torque calculation unit 12 and a state data acquisition unit 13 and drives the motor 6 through the servo amplifier unit 14 in response to a command from the operation general control unit 9 of the upper level.
- the pulse coder 7 attached to the motor 6 forms a feedback loop with the servo control unit 11 for control processing of the rotational angle position and speed of the motor 6.
- the servo control unit 11 includes, in addition to the disturbance torque calculation unit 12 and the state data acquisition unit 13, a processor that performs processing for controlling the rotational angle position, speed, and current of the motor 6, ROM for storing control programs, and setting values. And a non-volatile storage unit for storing various parameters.
- the servo control unit 11 further includes a RAM for temporarily storing data during arithmetic processing, a register for counting the position feedback pulse from the pulse coder 7 and detecting the absolute rotation angle position of the motor 6.
- the motor drive system as shown in FIG. 1 is required as many as the number of joint axes, but in FIG. 1 only one axis is shown and the other motor drive systems are not shown. doing.
- a speed change gear train may be interposed between the motor 6 and the reduction gear 8 of FIG.
- the motion general control unit 9 is located above the servo control unit 11 and directly controls the motion of the robot 1.
- the communication unit 10 exchanges necessary data with, for example, a communication unit 15 of the failure diagnosis device 3 described later, by using a LAN or the like.
- the state data acquisition unit 13 also has a function of periodically collecting various data related to the operating state of each joint axis of the robot 1. The collected data includes data indicating a collection period.
- the disturbance torque calculation unit 12 has a function of calculating a disturbance torque value based on the data acquired by the state data acquisition unit 13. Since the servo control unit 11 is configured to include the disturbance torque calculation unit 12 and the state data acquisition unit 13, the disturbance torque value obtained by the calculation of the disturbance torque calculation unit 12 causes failure diagnosis via the communication unit 10. It is output to the device 3. With this configuration, the servo control unit 11 is in the form of so-called software servo.
- the failure diagnosis device 3 includes a communication unit 15, a disturbance torque selection unit 16, a disturbance torque database 17, a failure diagnosis unit 18, and a maintenance result database 19.
- the failure diagnosis device 3 is composed of a microcomputer, a microprocessor, a general-purpose electronic circuit including a CPU, and peripheral devices such as a memory. Therefore, by executing a specific program, the failure diagnosis device 3 operates as the communication unit 15, the disturbance torque selection unit 16, and the failure diagnosis unit 18.
- the communication unit 15 has a function of exchanging necessary data with, for example, the communication unit 10 of the robot control device 2 described above by a LAN or the like.
- the disturbance torque selection unit 16 has a function of selecting a value to be stored among the disturbance torque values collected according to the operating condition of the robot 1.
- the disturbance torque selection unit 16 calculates the change from the reference value for each of the acquired disturbance torque values, and stores the disturbance torque value except for the disturbance torque value whose change from the reference value is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value. I do.
- the disturbance torque selection unit 16 may delete the disturbance torque value whose change from the reference value is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold value, or may replace the disturbance torque value with the reference value.
- the disturbance torque selection unit 16 calculates the rate of change with respect to the reference value as the change from the reference value. Specifically, it can be determined by the following equation.
- Rate of change relative to the reference value (disturbance torque value-reference value) / reference value
- rate of change relative to the reference value not only the rate of change relative to the reference value but also the difference between the disturbance torque value and the reference value Good.
- other numerical values may be calculated as long as they indicate changes from the reference value.
- the disturbance torque selection part 16 uses the average value of the latest disturbance torque value as a reference value, you may use a median value or dispersion value other than an average value.
- the threshold value to be compared with the change from the reference value is a threshold value for determining a single outlier, and a single outlier is reliably excluded with reference to a single outlier that has occurred in the past. It should be set to a value that can be used.
- the disturbance torque database 17 has a function of sequentially storing the disturbance torque values sorted by the disturbance torque selection unit 16. Therefore, disturbance torque values for the past are accumulated in the disturbance torque database 17.
- the failure diagnosis unit 18 has a function of actively performing failure diagnosis of the robot 1 based on the disturbance torque value accumulated by the disturbance torque selection unit 16. Since this fault diagnosis unit 18 is provided with a memory function, data obtained by accessing the disturbance torque database 17 and the maintenance record database 19 are temporarily stored, and fault diagnosis is performed based on those data. Run. In particular, the failure diagnosis unit 18 acquires the movement position of each operation axis and the disturbance torque value for each movement position applied to each operation axis at predetermined intervals, and the failure occurs when the acquired disturbance torque value is larger than the failure determination threshold. To diagnose.
- the maintenance result database 19 has a function for storing the maintenance result for each joint axis when maintenance is performed on the robot 1. Therefore, the maintenance result data for the past will be accumulated in the maintenance result database 19.
- the disturbance torque (disturbance load torque) applied to the motor 6 for driving each joint axis of the robot 1 is detected, and the abnormality of the corresponding motor drive system is determined as a failure of the robot based on the disturbance torque value. Diagnose.
- the procedure for obtaining this disturbance torque is roughly as follows.
- the actual velocity Vr of the motor 6 obtained by the velocity feedback signal from the pulse coder 7 is differentiated to obtain an acceleration, and this acceleration is multiplied by all inertias J applied to the motor 6
- the acceleration torque Ta is determined.
- the determined acceleration torque Ta is subtracted from the torque command Tc to the motor 6 determined by the velocity loop processing of the servo control unit 11, and the moment M is further reduced to determine the disturbance torque Tb.
- predetermined filtering processing is performed to remove the irregular component of the disturbance to obtain the disturbance torque TG.
- the servo control unit 11 executes such processing every predetermined sampling cycle to obtain the disturbance torque TG.
- the servo control unit 11 is provided with a register, which counts the feedback pulses of the position from the pulse coder 7 every predetermined sampling period to obtain the absolute position of the motor 6. Therefore, the servo control unit 11 detects the absolute position of the motor 6 from the register, and determines the rotational angle position (moving position) of the joint shaft driven by the motor 6 from the absolute position of the motor 6. Further, as described above, the servo control unit 11 performs the process of FIG. 2 to obtain the disturbance torque TG.
- FIG. 3 is a flowchart showing the procedure of the disturbance torque selection process by the disturbance torque selection unit 16.
- step S1 the disturbance torque selection unit 16 periodically and automatically collects and acquires the disturbance torque value calculated by the robot control device 2.
- the disturbance torque value is a value for each movement position of each motion axis. Further, the timing of the automatic collection is, for example, every hour, and the disturbance torque value calculated in one hour is collected and acquired.
- step S2 the disturbance torque selection unit 16 compares all sampling data of the acquired disturbance torque value with the reference value to calculate the rate of change with respect to the reference value.
- the difference between the disturbance torque value and the reference value may be used.
- the reference value uses the average value of the latest disturbance torque values, it is also possible to use a median value or a variance value other than the average value.
- step S3 disturbance torque selection unit 16 determines whether or not the rate of change with respect to the reference value is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value, and if it is equal to or greater than the threshold value, determines that the sampling data is a single abnormal value. Then, the process proceeds to step S4. On the other hand, if the rate of change with respect to the reference value is less than the threshold value, it is determined that the sampling data is not a single abnormal value, and the process proceeds to step S5.
- the disturbance torque selection unit 16 excludes sampling data of the disturbance torque value that is determined to be a single abnormal value and does not accumulate it in the disturbance torque database 17. For example, sampling data may be deleted or replaced with a reference value. If the reference value is not the average value of the latest disturbance torque values, it may be replaced with the average value of the latest disturbance torque values.
- step S5 the disturbance torque selection unit 16 accumulates sampling data of disturbance torque values excluding one-off abnormal values in the disturbance torque database 17, and ends the disturbance torque selection process according to the present embodiment.
- FIG. 4 is a flowchart showing the processing procedure of the failure diagnosis processing by the failure diagnosis unit 18.
- the failure diagnosis unit 18 collectively acquires from the disturbance torque database 17 the latest disturbance torque value and the disturbance torque values of the same month of the previous year of the day on which the diagnosis is performed.
- the failure diagnosis unit 18 calculates at least one (or a plurality of) of an average value, a variance value, and a median value based on the disturbance torque values of the same month of the previous year on the day of diagnosis. Based on that, the failure judgment threshold is calculated and set. For example, any one of an average value, a variance value, and a median value may be set as the failure determination threshold, or a plurality of them may be set as the failure determination threshold.
- step S13 the failure diagnosis unit 18 calculates at least one (or more than one) of the mean value, the variance value, and the median value of the latest disturbance torque values, and the value of the failure is set in step S12. It is determined whether it is equal to or less than the determination threshold. Then, if the calculated value of the mean value, the variance value, and the median value of the latest disturbance torque values is equal to or less than the failure determination threshold, it is determined that a failure has not occurred, and the failure diagnosis processing according to the present embodiment is immediately performed. Finish. On the other hand, if the calculated value among the mean value, the variance value, and the median value of the latest disturbance torque values is larger than the failure determination threshold value, it is determined that there is a possibility of failure, and the process proceeds to step S14.
- step S14 the failure diagnosis unit 18 determines, based on the data stored in the maintenance record database 19, whether or not maintenance has been performed within the last three months. Then, if maintenance is not performed, it is determined that a failure has occurred, and the process proceeds to step S21. On the other hand, if the maintenance has been carried out within the last three months, the process proceeds to step S15.
- step S ⁇ b> 15 the failure diagnosis unit 18 determines whether or not there is an operation axis having a correlation regarding the disturbance torque value and the movement axis for which the disturbance torque value is determined to be larger than the failure determination threshold in step S13. To judge. The determination as to whether or not there is a correlation is made, for example, based on whether or not a change appears in the disturbance torque value on another operation axis of the same robot before and after maintenance is performed on one operation axis. Then, if there is a correlated motion axis, the process proceeds to step S16, and if there is no correlated motion axis, the process proceeds to step S17.
- step S16 the failure diagnosis unit 18 extracts all the motion axes determined to have a correlation in step S15, and proceeds to step S17.
- step S17 the failure diagnosis unit 18 calculates at least one (or more than one) of the average value, the variance value, and the median value of the disturbance torque values after maintenance execution, and the failure determination is performed based on the values. Calculate and reset the threshold.
- step S18 the failure diagnosis unit 18 determines whether or not there is a seasonal fluctuation in the disturbance torque value of the joint axis. If there is no seasonal fluctuation, the process proceeds to step S20, and if there is a seasonal fluctuation, it proceeds to step S19. move on.
- the determination as to whether or not there is a seasonal fluctuation in the disturbance torque value can be made based on, for example, the degree of correlation between the change in the outside air temperature for each season and the disturbance torque value. This can be determined by collating the data of and the data of the disturbance torque value.
- step S19 the failure diagnosis unit 18 resets the failure determination threshold again by multiplying the failure determination threshold reset in step S17 by a constant (factor) according to the seasonal variation.
- step S20 the failure diagnosis unit 18 determines that at least one or more of the mean value, the variance value, and the median value of the latest disturbance torque values of the joint axis are reset to the failure determination threshold value or It is determined whether or not it is equal to or less than the reset failure determination threshold. Then, if the calculated average value, the variance value or the median value of the latest disturbance torque values is equal to or less than the failure determination threshold value, it is determined that a failure has not occurred and failure diagnosis processing according to the present embodiment Finish. On the other hand, when the calculated average value, the variance value or the median value of the latest disturbance torque values is larger than the failure determination threshold value, it is determined that a failure has occurred, and the process proceeds to step S21.
- step S21 the failure diagnosis unit 18 displays a failure alarm about the joint axis on the display screen of the monitor (not shown) installed as an adjunct to the failure diagnosis device 3, and performs the failure diagnosis processing according to the present embodiment. Finish.
- the change from the reference value is calculated for each of the acquired disturbance torque values, and the change from the reference value is equal to or more than the predetermined threshold.
- the disturbance torque value is accumulated except the disturbance torque value.
- the rate of change with respect to the reference value is calculated as the change from the reference value. This makes it possible to reliably eliminate the disturbance torque value that is affected by a single abnormal value, so that the failure diagnosis accuracy can be improved.
- the reference value is the average value of the latest disturbance torque values
- the reference value can be easily set. This makes it possible to reliably eliminate the disturbance torque value that is affected by a single abnormal value, so that the failure diagnosis accuracy can be improved.
- the failure diagnosis device 3 since the disturbance torque value whose change from the reference value is equal to or more than the predetermined threshold value is replaced with the reference value, the data number of the acquired disturbance torque value is not changed Can eliminate the effects of single outliers. Thereby, the diagnostic accuracy of the failure can be improved.
