Abstract

 車両に搭載され、汎用OSにより動作するメインCPU(11)と、そのメインCPUにより制御される周辺デバイス(3,4)とを備える車載システム(1)は、リアルタイムOSにより動作するサブCPU(12)を備えると共に、起動時において、サブCPUにより、各周辺デバイスの初期化処理を行い、その後、サブCPUからメインCPUにそれら周辺デバイスの制御を譲渡する。

Description

車載システム 関連出願の相互参照
 本出願は、2015年3月25日に出願された日本出願番号2015-62519号に基づくもので、ここにその記載内容を援用する。
 本開示は、車両に搭載され、汎用OSにより動作するメインCPUと、そのメインCPUにより制御される複数の周辺デバイスとを備える車載システムに関する。
 近年、例えばIVI(In-Vehicle Infotainment)システムと称される車載システムが普及してきている。この種の車載システムでは、例えばナビゲーション装置、オーディオ装置、バックガイドカメラ装置等の複数の車載装置を、メインCPUが統合管理する構成とされている。この場合、メインCPUは、標準的なOS(汎用OS)として、例えばLinux(登録商標)のOSにより動作し、例えばメインCPUのアプリケーションを格納するメディアデバイス(eMMC)や、バックガイドカメラの映像を取込むビデオデコーダ等の周辺デバイスを制御するようになっている。
 このような車載システムにあっては、メインCPUにおけるLinuxの起動時間が比較的長くかかる事情もあり、自動車のアクセサリスイッチがオンされてから、ユーザ(運転者)の所望の機器の起動処理が完了するまで長く待たなければならない事情があった。特に、アクセサリスイッチのオン時における、CPUのアプリケーションを格納するメディアデバイスの初期化や、各種周辺デバイス例えば映像IF(ビデオデコーダ)の初期化に長い時間がかかるため、ユーザにとって待ち時間が長くなり、例えばバックガイドカメラの機能をすぐ使うことができないといった不都合があった。
 尚、特許文献1では、カーナビゲーション装置において、エンジン停止時に、DRAMにバックアップ電源を供給し、動作途中の状態を記憶しておくことにより、再起動時の立ち上りの高速性を確保する技術が開示されている。

 上記のような車載システムにおけるメインCPUの起動処理としては、例えば、電源オン直後の電源安定化時間の経過後に、プログラムブート、メディアデバイス(eMMC)の初期化、アプリプログラムロード、各種デバイス初期化、アプリ実行の処理が順に実行される。そのうち、例えばメディアデバイスの初期化に1000ms程度、デバイスのうち映像IF(ビデオデコーダ)の初期化に400ms程度がかかり、バックガイドカメラ画像が表示されるまで、全体で、例えば3.4s程度かかるものとなっている。安全性を高めるといった観点からは、カメラ画像の表示に要する時間を、例えば2秒以内に抑えることが要望されるのである。
 本開示の目的は、起動処理が完了するまでに要する時間の短縮化を図ることができる車載システムを提供するにある。
 上記目的を達成するために、本開示の一つの例によれば、車載システムは、車両に搭載され、汎用OSにより動作するメインCPUと、そのメインCPUにより制御される周辺デバイス(その数は少なくとも一つである)と、リアルタイムOSにより動作するサブCPUを設けるように構成される。さらに、起動時において、サブCPUにより、周辺デバイスの初期化処理を行い、その後、サブCPUからメインCPUに周辺デバイスの制御を譲渡するように構成されている。
 上記構成においては、起動時において、周辺デバイスの初期化処理については、リアルタイムOSにより動作するサブCPUが実行する。従って、メインCPUにおける起動処理、即ち、電源安定化時間及びプログラムブートの処理と並行して、周辺デバイスの初期化処理を行うことができ、その分、起動処理に要する時間が短縮化される。周辺デバイスの初期化処理の後は、その周辺デバイスに対する制御が、サブCPUから、汎用OSにより動作するメインCPUに譲渡される、という制御譲渡(制御切替)の手順あるいは制御譲渡(制御切替)の構成要素が、備わっており、この後、通常の制御を行うことができる。
 このように、周辺デバイスの起動時と通常動作時との間で、周辺デバイスを制御するCPUを変更したことにより、制御を最適化することができた。この結果、起動処理の高速化を実現することができ、起動処理が完了するまでに要する時間の短縮化を図ることができるという優れた効果を奏する。
 本開示についての上記目的およびその他の目的、特徴や利点は、添付の図面を参照しながら下記の詳細な記述により、より明確になる。

 以下、本開示を具体化した一実施形態について、図面を参照しながら説明する。図1は、車両(自動車)に搭載される本実施形態に係る車載システム1の電気的構成を概略的に示している。車載システム1は、制御装置2(電子制御装置2あるいは制御部2とも言及される)、及び、その制御装置2の含むCPUにより制御される複数の周辺デバイス3、4、電源制御部5等を備えている。本実施形態では、周辺デバイスの具体例として、表示装置6(図5A,図5B参照)の画面表示を行うビデオデコーダ等を含む映像IF3と、アプリケーションを格納するSD又はeMMC等のメディアデバイス4とを含んでいる。
 また、図示はしないが、制御装置2には、操作部、スピーカやマイク、FPGA等も接続され、それらの制御も行うようになっている。さらに、図示はしないが、制御装置2には、ナビゲーション装置(ナビゲーションECU)、GPS装置、オーディオ装置(オーディオECU)、バックガイドカメラ装置(カメラECU)等の各種車載機器も接続され、それらを統合管理するようになっている。制御装置2(車載システム1)には、携帯電話やスマートフォン等の外部電子機器の無線接続も可能とされている。
 これにて、図5A,図5Bに示すように、制御装置2は、映像IF3を介して、表示装置6の画面に、バックガイドカメラの映像、ナビゲーション装置による地図表示、TVや映画等のビデオ画像の表示、初期画面を含む各種インフォメーション画面の表示等を行うようになっている。このとき、映像IF3と表示装置6との間の接続は、例えばLVDS規格等によりなされている。
 図1に示すように、電源制御部5は、車両の起動スイッチ(アクセサリスイッチ)がオンされた起動時に、制御装置2や各周辺デバイスに、駆動電源を供給する。但し、後述するサブCPUに対しては、起動スイッチがオフされても、スタンバイ状態を維持するための電源を供給し続けるようになっている。尚、車載システム1は、ナビゲーション機能やオーディオ機能を制御装置2にて実現する構成としても良いし、ナビゲーション機能やオーディオ機能を備えていない構成であっても良い。
 制御装置2は、メインCPU11と、サブCPU12とを備えている。そのうちメインCPU11は、汎用OS、例えばLinux(登録商標)により動作する。これに対し、サブCPU12は、リアルタイムOS(RTOS)により動作するように構成されている。これらメインCPU11とサブCPU12とは、例えばUSB、UART、PORT等の規格により相互間での通信可能に接続されている。また、メインCPU11には、コンピュータの立ち上げ(起動)を行うためのBSPプログラムを記憶したブートメモリ13が接続されている。更に、制御装置2には、メインCPU11及びサブCPU12の双方からアクセス可能な共有メモリ14が設けられている。
 このとき、メインCPU11、サブCPU12は、共に、映像IF3及びメディアデバイス4を夫々制御可能な構成とされている。そして、詳しくは後の作用説明で述べるように、本実施形態では、システム起動時、つまり起動スイッチ(アクセサリスイッチ)のオン時において、サブCPU12により、映像IF3及びメディアデバイス4の初期化処理を行い、その後、該サブCPU12からメインCPU11にそれら映像IF3及びメディアデバイス4の制御を譲渡する(アクセス権を切替える)ように構成されている。
 より具体的には、図5A,図5Bに示すように、映像IF3に対し、メインCPU11とサブCPU11との間でアクセス権を切替えるための第1のセレクタ15が設けられ、その第1のセレクタ15は、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により切替え制御される。尚、CPU11、12と映像IF3との間は、I2Cによる通信方式が採用される。また、図6A、図6Bに示すように、メディアデバイス4に対し、メインCPU11とサブCPU11との間でアクセス権を切替えるための第2のセレクタ16が設けられ、その第2のセレクタ16は、やはり、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により切替え制御されるようになっている。この場合、CPU11、12とメディアデバイス4との間は、CMD(SPI方式)による通信が行われる。
 更に、本実施形態では、システム終了時、即ち、起動スイッチ(アクセサリスイッチ)のオフ時においては、メインCPU11は、サブCPU12に対し、映像IF3及びメディアデバイス4の制御を再度譲渡し、自らの終了処理を行う。そして、サブCPU12は、映像IF3及びメディアデバイス4の終了処理を行った後、メインCPU11の電源をオフした上で、スタンバイ(スリープ)状態に移行するようになっている。
 次に、上記構成の作用について、図2~図6も参照して述べる。図2のタイミングチャートは、上記構成の車載システム1の起動時(アクセサリスイッチのオン時)における、メインCPU11及びサブCPU12の時間経過に伴う処理内容を示している。また、図3のフローチャートは、起動時(アクセサリスイッチのオン時)における、サブCPU12及びメインCPU11の実行する処理手順を示している。
 記載されるフローチャートは、複数のセクション(あるいはステップと言及される)を含み、各セクションは、たとえば、S1或はM1と表現される。さらに、各セクションは、複数のサブセクションに分割されることができる、一方、複数のセクションが合わさって一つのセクションにすることも可能である。各セクションは、デバイス、モジュール、あるいは、固有名として、譲渡セクション、譲渡デバイス、譲渡モジュール、あるいはアサイナーと言及されることができる。また、セクションは、(i)ハードウエアユニット(例えば、コンピュータ、CPU)と組み合わさったソフトウエアのセクションのみならず、(ii)ハードウエア(例えば、集積回路、配線論理回路)のセクションとして、関連する装置の機能を含みあるいは含まずに実現できる。さらに、ハードウエアのセクションは、マイクロコンピュータの内部に含まれることもできる。
 図3に示すように、アクセサリスイッチがオンされると、まず、サブCPU12側においては、S1にてサブCPU12の起動処理が行われる。この場合、サブCPU12は、システムの停止状態(アクセサリスイッチのオフ時)に、スタンバイ状態(スリープ状態)になっているので、極めて短時間での起動が可能である(図2の処理(1))。サブCPU12が起動すると、S2にて、サブCPU12からの指示によりメインCPU11の起動の処理がなされる。
 このとき、メインCPU11にあっては、電源制御部5からの電源供給が開始されるのであるが、M1にて、電源安定化に一定の時間(例えば280ms)を要するものとなる(図2及の処理(2))。メインCPU11にあって、電源安定化時間が終了すると、M2にて、プログラムのブート(メインCPU11の立ち上げ)が実行される(図2の処理(5))。
 一方、サブCPU12にあっては、S3にて、アプリ格納用のメディアデバイス4の初期化処理が実行される。図2に示すように、このメディアデバイス4の初期化処理は(図2の処理(3))、メインCPU11における電源安定化(図2の処理(2))及びプログラムブート(図2の処理(5))と並行して実行され、一定時間(例えば500ms)を要する。図3において、S4では、メディアデバイス4の初期化処理が終了したかどうかが判断され、終了した場合には(S4にてYes)、S5にて、メインCPU11に対し、メディアデバイス4の初期化処理が終了した旨の通知を行うと共に、メディアデバイス4のアクセス権を譲渡する処理が行われる。このアクセス権譲渡の処理については、後の図6A、図6Bの説明で述べる。
 更に、サブCPU12にあっては、S6にて、メディアデバイス4以外の各種デバイス、この例では映像IF3の初期化処理が実行される(図2の処理(4))。この映像IF3の初期化処理は、図2に示すように、メディアデバイス4の初期化処理(図2の処理(3))と並行して実行することができ、やはり一定時間(例えば500ms)を要する。図3において、S7では、映像IF3の初期化処理が終了したかどうかが判断され、終了した場合には(S7にてYes)、S8にて、メインCPU11に対し、映像IF3の初期化処理が終了した旨の通知を行うと共に、映像IF3のアクセス権を譲渡する処理が行われる。このアクセス権譲渡の処理については、後の図5A,図5Bの説明で述べる。
 これに対し、メインCPU11にあっては、M2のプログラムブートの処理が終了した後、上記のようにサブCPU12からメディアデバイス4のアクセス権が譲渡されると(S5)、M3にて、メディアデバイス4からのアプリケーションプログラムのロードを実行する。このアプリケーションプログラムのロードの処理には、例えば1000msを要する(図2の処理(6))。図3において、サブCPU12から映像IF3のアクセス権が譲渡されると(S8)、メインCPU11は、M4にて映像設定の処理を行い、更にM5にて、アプリを実行する(図2の処理(7))。
 これにより、アクセス権が譲渡されたメインCPU11における、複数のデバイスに対する通常の制御等が行われるようになる。また、サブCPU12は、メインCPU11に対してアクセス権を譲渡した後(S8)、スリープ(スタンバイ)状態に移行される。このとき、図2から明らかなように、起動時において、周辺デバイスであるメディアデバイス4及び映像IF3の初期化処理については、リアルタイムOSにより動作するサブCPU12が実行する。従って、メインCPU11における起動処理、即ち、電源安定化時間(2)及びプログラムブート(5)の処理と並行して、メディアデバイス4及び映像IF3の初期化処理を行うことができ、その分、車載システム1全体としての起動処理に要する時間を短縮化することができるのである。
 次に、図4のフローチャートは、システムの終了時即ちアクセサリスイッチがオフされた時点における、サブCPU12及びメインCPU11の実行する処理手順を示している。即ち、アクセサリスイッチがオフされると、まず、S11にて、スタンバイ状態のサブCPU12の起動処理が行われる。起動処理が行われると、S12にて、メインCPU11からの通知待ち状態となる。
 このとき、メインCPU11にあっては、各デバイスに関する制御プログラムの終了等の終了処理が実行される(M11)。メインCPU11にあって、終了処理が完了すると(M11にてYes)、M12にて、サブCPU12に対して、終了通知を行うと共に、各デバイス3,4に対するアクセス権の譲渡が行われる。この終了時における、メインCPU11からサブCPU12へのアクセス権の譲渡の処理についても、後の図5A、図5B、図6A,図6Bの説明で述べる。
 また、メインCPU11においては、引続き、M13にて、自らの終了処理が実行される。M14では、終了処理が終了したかどうかが判断され、終了したときには(M14にてYes)、M15にて、サブCPU12に対し終了通知が行われる。これにて、メインCPU11におけるアクセサリスイッチのオフ時の処理が終了し、サブCPU12によりメインCPU11の電源オフがされる(後述のS15)。
 一方、サブCPU12にあっては、メインCPU11からの終了通知及びアクセス権の譲渡が行われると(M12)、終了待ち状態が終り(S12にてYes)、S13にて、各デバイス3,4の終了処理(リセット、電源オフ等)を実行する。S14では、メインCPU11からの終了通知待ち状態となる。メインCPU11からM15の終了通知があると(S14にてYes)、S15にて、メインCPU11の電源オフを実行し、引続きS16にて、自らの終了処理を実行する。この後は、サブCPU12はスタンバイ状態(スリープ状態)とされる。
 このように、システム終了時においても、メインCPU11からサブCPU12に周辺デバイス3,4の制御を譲渡し、サブCPU12がそれら周辺デバイス3,4の終了処理を行う構成としたので、メインCPU11、周辺デバイス3、4、サブCPU12の終了処理を効率的に行うことができ、短時間での終了処理が可能となる。また、サブCPU12がスタンバイ状態となって各周辺デバイス3,4を監視することができ、次の起動時における起動処理を短時間で行うことが可能となる。
 次に、図5A、図5Bを参照して、デバイスのうち映像IF3に対するメインCPU11とサブCPU12との間での制御の切替え(譲渡)の手順について述べる。図5Aはシステム起動時の動作手順、図5Bはシステム終了時の動作手順を夫々示すものである。上記したように、映像IF3と、メインCPU11及びサブCPU11との間は、I2C規格による通信方式が採用され、それらの間に設けられた第1のセレクタ15は、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により切替え制御され、アクセス権を切替える。
 図5Aに示すように、起動時(アクセサリスイッチオン時)においては、第1のセレクタ15によりアクセス権がサブCPU12側に設定されており(動作(1))、サブCPU12は、映像IF3の初期化処理を実行する(動作(2))。映像IF3の初期化が完了すると、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により、第1のセレクタ15はアクセス権をメインCPU11に切替え(動作(3))、サブCPU12は、CPU間通信でメインCPU11に対しアクセス権を譲渡した旨を通知する(動作(4))。引続き、メインCPU11は、映像IF3に対し映像フォーマットの設定等を行ない(動作(5))、メインCPU11からの映像信号の入出力が開始される(動作(6))。
 これに対し、図5Bに示すように、終了時(アクセサリスイッチオフ時)においては、次の動作が実行される。即ち、サブCPU12がアクセサリスイッチのオフを検知すると(動作(1))、サブCPU12は、CPU間通信でメインCPU11に対しアクセサリスイッチがオフされた旨を通知する(動作(2))。次に、メインCPU11は、デバイス(映像IF3)の終了処理(表示装置6の画面の黒画)を行い(動作(3))、サブCPU12に対し、CPU間通信で終了処理完了を通知する(動作(4))。そして、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により、第1のセレクタ15はアクセス権をサブCPU12に切替え(動作(5))、サブCPU12は、映像IF3のリセット処理を実行する(動作(6))。
 図6A、図6Bは、デバイスのうちメディアデバイス4に対するメインCPU11とサブCPU12との間での制御の切替え(譲渡)の動作手順を示すもので、図6Aはシステム起動時の動作手順、図6Bはシステム終了時の動作手順を夫々示している。上記したように、メディアデバイス4と、メインCPU11及びサブCPU11との間は、CMD規格による通信方式が採用され、それらの間に設けられた第2のセレクタ16は、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により切替え制御され、アクセス権を切替える。
 図6Aに示すように、起動時(アクセサリスイッチオン時)においては、第2のセレクタ16によりアクセス権がサブCPU12側に設定されており(動作(1))、サブCPU12は、メディアデバイス4の初期化処理を実行する(動作(2))。メディアデバイス4の初期化が完了すると、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により、第2のセレクタ16はアクセス権をメインCPU11に切替え(動作(3))、サブCPU12は、CPU間通信でメインCPU11に対しアクセス権を譲渡した旨を通知する(動作(4))。引続き、メインCPU11は、メディアデバイス4に対するリード/ライトのコマンドを実行し(動作(5))、メディアデバイス4からメインCPU11へのデータ転送を実行する(動作(6))。
 図6Bに示すように、終了時(アクセサリスイッチオフ時)においては、サブCPU12がアクセサリスイッチのオフを検知すると(動作(1))、サブCPU12は、CPU間通信でメインCPU11に対しアクセサリスイッチがオフされた旨を通知する(動作(2))。次に、メインCPU11は、メディアデバイス4の終了処理(例えばCMD0信号の出力)を行い(動作(3))、サブCPU12に対し、CPU間通信で終了処理完了を通知する(動作(4))。そして、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により、第2のセレクタ16はアクセス権をサブCPU12に切替え(動作(5))、サブCPU12は、メディアデバイス4の電源オフ又はスタンバイの処理を実行する(動作(6))。
 このように本実施形態の車載システム1にあっては、周辺デバイスとしての映像IF3及びメディアデバイス4について、通常動作時には、LinuxのOSにより動作するメインCPU11により制御を行い、システムの起動時にあっては、リアルタイムOSにより動作するサブCPU12が初期化処理を行うように構成した。これにより、システム起動時と通常動作時との間で、デバイスを制御するCPU11,12を変更したことにより、制御を最適化することができた。
 従って、本実施形態によれば、システムの起動処理の高速化を実現することができ、起動処理が完了するまでに要する時間の短縮化を図ることができるという優れた効果を得ることができる。ちなみに、アクセサリスイッチのオン時における、バックガイドカメラの機能により表示装置6にカメラ画を表示するまでには、従来では、例えば3.4秒かかっていてユーザにとって待ち時間が長くなっていたものを、本実施形態では、2秒以下に短縮することができ、安全性を高める観点からも有効となる。
 また、特に本実施形態では、周辺デバイス3,4に対し、メインCPU11とサブCPU12との間でアクセス権を切替えるためのセレクタ15,16が設けられ、サブCPU12からの切替え信号により該セレクタ15,16の切替え制御を行うように構成したので、制御の譲渡を容易に実現することができる。
 更に、本実施形態では、終了時においても、メインCPU11からサブCPU12に周辺デバイス3,4の制御を譲渡し、サブCPU12は、周辺デバイス3,4の終了処理を行った後、スタンバイ状態に移行する構成とした。これにより、システム終了時の終了処理についても効率的に行うことができる。しかも、アクセサリスイッチオフ時にもサブCPU12がスタンバイ状態となって各周辺デバイス3、4を監視することができると共に、起動時において、周辺デバイス3、4を速やかに起動処理することが可能となる。
 本開示は、実施例に準拠して記述されたが、本開示は当該実施例や構造に限定されるものではないと理解される。本開示は、様々な変形例や均等範囲内の変形をも包含する。加えて、様々な組み合わせや形態、さらには、それらに一要素のみ、それ以上、あるいはそれ以下、を含む他の組み合わせや形態をも、本開示の範疇や思想範囲に入るものである。
 尚、上記実施形態では、メインCPUが動作する汎用OSとしてLinuxを採用した場合を例示したが、これに限定されるものではなく、例えばWindows(登録商標)等の各種のOSを採用することもできる。各部における通信方式や、データ伝送の規格等についても、一例を示したに過ぎず、各種の技術を採用することができる。また、上記実施形態では、周辺デバイスとして、映像IF3及びメディアデバイス4を例示したが、本開示は、車両に搭載されているデバイス全般を対象として適用することができる。その他、車載システム全体のハードウエア構成や、制御装置のソフトウエアあるいはハードウエア構成等についても種々の変更が可能である。

Claims (5)

  1.  車両に搭載され、汎用OSにより動作するメインCPU(11)と、そのメインCPU(11)により制御される周辺デバイス(3,4)とを備える車載システム(1)であって、
     リアルタイムOSにより動作するサブCPU(12)を設けると共に、
     起動時において、前記サブCPUにより、前記周辺デバイスの初期化処理を行い、その後、該サブCPUから前記メインCPUに前記周辺デバイスの制御を譲渡するように構成されている
     車載システム。
  2.  前記周辺デバイスには、表示装置(6)の画面表示を行う映像インターフェース(3)が含まれている
     請求項1記載の車載システム。
  3.  前記周辺デバイスには、前記メインCPUのアプリケーションプログラムを格納するメディアデバイス(4)が含まれている
     請求項1又は2記載の車載システム。
  4.  前記周辺デバイス(3,4)に対し、前記メインCPUとサブCPUとの間でアクセス権を切替えるためのセレクタ(15,16)が設けられ、前記サブCPUからの切替え信号により該セレクタを切替え制御することにより、制御の譲渡が行われる
     請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の車載システム。
  5.  終了時においては、前記メインCPUから前記サブCPUに前記周辺デバイスの制御を譲渡し、該サブCPUは、前記周辺デバイスの終了処理を行った後、スタンバイ状態に移行する
     請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の車載システム。
