Definitions
- the present invention relates to a paint drying apparatus and a paint drying method.
- various types such as electrodeposition coating, intermediate coating and top coating, and rust prevention treatment are performed with lids such as doors and hoods attached to the body shell body for the purpose of productivity improvement and color matching. Processing is performed.
- intermediate coating and top coating the automobile body that is the object to be coated is placed on a coating carriage, the coating is applied while being transported through the coating booth, and then transported to a coating drying furnace to be baked and dried.
- the coating drying apparatus used in the painting line is provided with a hot-air supply duct in a tunnel-shaped drying furnace body, blows hot air over the entire automobile body transported in the drying furnace body, and burns and dries the wet coating film ( Patent Document 1).
- Bake-hardening paints are used for automobile bodies.
- holding at 140 ° C. for 20 minutes is the standard for quality assurance of cured paint films.
- hot air does not easily flow into a narrow portion such as around the hinge of the door due to the structure of the automobile body, compared to the outer plate portion where hot air is easily blown. For this reason, there is a problem that it is difficult to satisfy the quality assurance standard such as holding at 140 ° C. ⁇ 20 minutes for the narrow portion.
- the problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a coating / drying apparatus and a coating / drying method that can satisfy the drying conditions of the wet paint film over the entire automobile body.
- This invention solves the said subject by providing a local drying area

- the best embodiment of the present invention will be described by taking the top coat coating drying apparatus 1 to which the coating drying apparatus and the coating drying method of the present invention are applied as an example.
- the coating drying apparatus and the coating drying of the present invention will be described.
- the method can be applied to an intermediate coating drying device, an undercoating drying device (electrodeposition coating drying device), or an intermediate coating / top coating drying device described later, in addition to the top coating drying device.
- the topcoat coating drying apparatus 1 is one of the apparatuses constituting the coating line PL, and the vehicle body B is transported while the body shell B (also referred to as an automobile body B) mounted on the coating carriage 50 is conveyed. It is an apparatus for drying the top coat film applied on the surface.
- the outline of the automobile production line and the coating line PL will be described, and then the automobile body B and the top coat drying apparatus 1 will be described in detail.
- the automobile production line has four main lines: a press molding line PRL, a body assembly line (also referred to as a welding line) WL, a painting line PL, and a vehicle assembly line (also referred to as an outfitting line) ASL. It is composed of In the press molding line PRL, various panels constituting the automobile body B are respectively press-molded and conveyed to the vehicle body assembly line WL in the state of a single press. In the vehicle body assembly line WL, sub-assemblies are assembled for each part of the automobile body such as the front body, center floor body, rear floor body, and side body, and welding is performed on predetermined parts of the assembled front body, center floor body, and rear floor body.
- the underbody is assembled, and the side body and the roof panel are welded to the underbody to assemble the body shell main body B1 (referring to the body shell excluding the lid). Finally, cover parts such as the hood F, side doors D1 and D2, and the trunk lid T (or back door) assembled in advance with respect to the body shell main body B1 are hinges H (described later with reference to FIG. 2F). Wear through. Then, after passing through the painting line PL, it is conveyed to the vehicle assembly line ASL, and various automobile parts such as an engine, a transmission, a suspension device, and interior parts are assembled to the finished body shell.

As a result, as shown in FIGS. 4D and 4E, the hot air blown out from each second hot air outlet 26 is directed to the hinge position corresponding to the vehicle type, so that the narrowed portions N1, N2 are more reliably provided. The drying conditions of the coated surface can be satisfied.
- the narrow portion N1 near the hinge H, is provided. In addition to ensuring a local temperature rise on the N2 application surface, it is possible to prevent dust near the narrow portions N1 and N2 from adhering to the outer plate portion of the automobile body B.
- the edge part of the side surface 15 of the 1st furnace body 121 and the edge part of the side surface 15 of the 2nd furnace body 122 are connected. Since the side surface is an inclined surface 123 that decreases in diameter from the second furnace body 122 toward the first furnace body 121, the flow of hot air generated inside the first furnace body 121 and the second furnace body 122 is smoothly performed. It is possible to suppress uneven distribution of the temperature distribution due to stagnation at the boundary between the first furnace body 121 and the second furnace body 122.
- the hot air supply device 20 corresponds to the hot air generation and supply means of the present invention, and the second hot air outlet 26 corresponds to the local outlet of the present invention.

Abstract
