Description
(1)自動車ボディBは、その構造上、熱風が当たり易い部位と当たり難い部位を含んで構成されることが殆どである。たとえば、サイドドアDのヒンジH1,H2の近傍の狭隘部N1、N2は、サイドドアDを閉じた状態で上塗り塗装乾燥装置1へ流しても、熱風が廻り込み難く、昇温し難い。これに対して、サイドドアDのアウタパネルなどの外板部は、熱風が直接吹き付けられ易く、昇温し易い。このため、上塗り塗装乾燥装置1の熱風温度や通過時間などの設定条件を、昇温し難い狭隘部N1,N2に合わせると、昇温し易い外板部が品質保証基準を大幅に超えて無駄なエネルギが消費されるだけでなく、場合によってはオーバーベークが生じ、却って塗膜品質を低下させるおそれもある。かと言って、上塗り塗装乾燥装置1の熱風温度や通過時間などの設定条件を、昇温し易い外板部に合わせると、狭隘部N1,N2の塗膜の乾燥条件が品質保証基準を満たさず、いわゆる焼き甘が生じて、塗膜性能の低下や塗膜剥がれが生じるおそれがある。本実施形態では、サイドドアDが開いた状態で搬送される第2炉体122において、相対的に昇温し難い狭隘部N1,N2の塗布面に向かって熱風を局所的に吹き付けることで、自動車ボディBの塗膜全域に亘る乾燥条件の均一化を図ることができ、塗膜品質だけでなく省エネルギも実現することができる。またこれ以外は、炉幅が狭い第1炉体121とすることで乾燥炉本体10の総合スペースを最小限にすることができる。

Claims (9)
- ボディシェル本体にヒンジを介してサイドドアが装着された自動車ボディを搬送しながら、前記自動車ボディに塗布したウェット塗膜を乾燥する塗装乾燥装置であって、乾燥炉本体と、前記乾燥炉本体内に熱風を供給する熱風生成供給手段とを備える塗装乾燥装置において、
前記乾燥炉本体は、
前記サイドドアを閉じた状態の自動車ボディの車幅に対応する側面幅の第1炉体と、
前記サイドドアを開いた状態の自動車ボディの車幅に対応し、前記第1炉体の側面幅より幅広の第2炉体と、を含み、
前記第2炉体は、前記自動車ボディの温度を昇温させる昇温領域に設けられ、
前記第1炉体は、前記自動車ボディの温度を保持する温度保持領域に設けられている塗装乾燥装置。 - 前記第1炉体の側面の端部と前記第2炉体の側面の端部とを接続する側面は、前記第2炉体から前記第1炉体に向かって縮径する傾斜面とされている請求項1に記載の塗装乾燥装置。
- 前記熱風生成供給手段は、前記第2炉体において、前記ヒンジの近傍の前記ボディシェル本体と前記サイドドアに塗布されたウェット塗膜に向かって熱風を吹き付ける局所吹出口を含む請求項1又は2に記載の塗装乾燥装置。
- 前記熱風生成供給手段は、前記第2炉体において、前記自動車ボディの外板部に塗布されたウェット塗膜に向かって熱風を吹き付ける外板部吹出口を含む請求項3に記載の塗装乾燥装置。
- 前記第2炉体の上流部に前記サイドドアを開くドア開放機構が設けられ、
前記第2炉体の下流部に前記サイドドアを閉じるドア閉塞機構が設けられている請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の塗装乾燥装置。 - 前記自動車ボディには、前記サイドドアの開放状態と閉塞状態とを維持するドア開閉維持部材が装着され、
前記ドア開放機構は、前記ドア開閉維持部材を操作することにより前記サイドドアを開放状態とし、
前記ドア閉塞機構は、前記ドア開閉維持部材を操作することにより前記サイドドアを閉塞状態とする請求項5に記載の塗装乾燥装置。 - 対向する側面の炉幅が相対的に狭い第1炉体と広い第2炉体とを含む乾燥炉本体と、前記乾燥炉本体内に熱風を供給する熱風生成供給手段とを備える塗装乾燥装置を用いて、
ボディシェル本体にヒンジを介してサイドドアが装着された自動車ボディを搬送しながら、前記自動車ボディに塗布したウェット塗膜を乾燥する塗装乾燥方法であって、
前記第1炉体においては前記サイドドアを閉じた状態で前記自動車ボディを搬送し、前記第2炉体においては前記サイドドアを開いた状態で前記自動車ボディを搬送し、
前記第2炉体において、前記自動車ボディの温度を昇温させ、
前記第1炉体において、前記自動車ボディの温度を保持する塗装乾燥方法。 - 前記第2炉体において、前記ヒンジの近傍の前記ボディシェル本体と前記サイドドアに塗布されたウェット塗膜に向かって熱風を吹き付ける請求項7に記載の塗装乾燥方法。
- 前記第2炉体において、前記自動車ボディの外板部に塗布されたウェット塗膜に向かって熱風を吹き付ける請求項8に記載の塗装乾燥方法。
