Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A SECAGEM DE SUBSTRATOS REVESTIDOS COM REVESTIMENTOS DE BASE LìQUIDOS CARREGADOS PELA áGUA". Trata-se de um processo de múltiplos estágios para a secagem e a cura de substratos revestidos com um revestimento de base líquido conduzido pela água e um revestimento de topo, o qual inclui: (a) a aplicação de uma composição de revestimento de base líquido conduzido pela água à superfície do substrato; (b) a exposição da composição de revestimento de base ao ar que tem uma temperatura que varia da temperatura ambiente até cerca de a 40<198>C por um período de cerca de 30 segundos para volatilizar pelo menos uma parte do material volátil da composição de revestimento de base líquida, sendo que a velocidade do ar na superfície da composição de revestimento de base é de cerca de 0.3 a cerca de 1 metro por segundo; (c) a aplicação de ar aquecido à composição de revestimento de base por um período que varia de cerca de 30 a cerca de 45 segundos, sendo que a velocidade do ar na superfície da composição de revestimento de base varia de cerca de 1,5 a 15 metros por segundo, e o ar tem uma temperatura que varia de cerca de 30<198>C a cerca de 90<198>C; (d) a aplicação de radiação infravermelha e de ar aquecido simultaneamente à composição de revestimento de base por um período que varia de cerca de 30 a 45 segundos, sendo que a velocidade do ar na superfície do revestimento de base varia de cerca de 1,5 a 5 metros por segundo, e o ar tem uma temperatura que varia de cerca de 30<198>C a cerca de 60<198>C, de maneira tal que um revestimento de base suficientemente seco é formado sobre a superfície do substrato; (e) a aplicação de uma composição de revestimento de topo sobre o revestimento de base; e (f) a cura simultânea da composição de revestimento de base e da composição de revestimento de topo em conjunto.
