前記誘電体基板に配置され、前記誘電体基板の表面に平行な方向に指向性を持ち、第1の方向に平行な偏波特性を持つ少なくとも1つの第1のエンドファイアアンテナと、
前記誘電体基板に配置され、前記誘電体基板の表面に平行な方向に指向性を持ち、前記第1の方向と直交する第2の方向に平行な偏波特性を持つ少なくとも1つの第2のエンドファイアアンテナと、
前記誘電体基板に配置され、相互に異なる第1の給電点及び第2の給電点が設けられた少なくとも1つのパッチアンテナと
を有し、
前記第1の給電点から前記パッチアンテナに給電を行うと、前記第1の方向と平行な偏波方向を持つ電波が励振され、前記第2の給電点から前記パッチアンテナに給電を行うと、前記第1の方向と直交する偏波方向を持つ電波が励振される。
前記第2の給電点から前記パッチアンテナに給電を行うと、前記第2の方向と平行な偏波方向を持つ電波が放射される。
前記パッチアンテナが、前記第1の方向と前記第2の方向に行列状に並んだアレイアンテナ構造を有する。
前記第1の方向に並ぶ前記パッチアンテナの個数が、前記第2の方向に並ぶ前記パッチアンテナの個数より多く、一部の前記パッチアンテナの各々には、前記第1の給電点及び前記第2の給電点から給電が行われ、残りのパッチアンテナの各々には、前記第2の給電点のみから給電が行われるように構成されている。
前記第1のエンドファイアアンテナが、前記第1の方向に並んだアレイアンテナ構造を有し、
前記第2のエンドファイアアンテナが、前記第2の方向に並んだアレイアンテナ構造を有する。
前記第1のエンドファイアアンテナには、前記第1のエンドファイアアンテナごとに、移相器を通して独立に位相が制御された高周波信号が供給可能であり、
前記第2のエンドファイアアンテナには、同一位相の高周波信号が供給される。
前記第1の方向に並ぶ前記パッチアンテナの個数が、前記第2の方向に並ぶ前記パッチアンテナの個数より多く、
前記第2のエンドファイアアンテナから放射された電波を収束する電波レンズを、さらに有する。
前記第1の方向及び前記第2の方向の一方が、前記誘電体基板の表面と平行であり、他方が、前記誘電体基板の厚さ方向と平行である。
図1に、実施例1による無線通信モジュールの平面図、及び信号送受信回路のブロック図を示す。誘電体基板10の表面に平行な方向をx軸方向及びy軸方向とし、法線方向をz軸方向とするxyz直交座標系を定義する。誘電体基板10は、x軸方向またはy軸方向に平行な辺を有する正方形または長方形の平面形状を有する。
図2に、実施例2による無線通信モジュールの平面図を示す。以下、図1に示した実施例1による無線通信モジュールとの相違点について説明し、共通の構成については説明を省略する。
図3に、実施例3による無線通信モジュールの平面図を示す。以下、図2に示した実施例2による無線通信モジュールとの相違点について説明し、共通の構成については説明を省略する。
図4に、実施例4による無線通信モジュールの平面図を示す。以下、図2に示した実施例2による無線通信モジュールとの相違点について説明し、共通の構成については説明を省略する。

図7に、実施例7による無線装置の概略部分断面図を示す。実施例7による無線装置には、例えば携帯無線端末、家電機器等が含まれる。マザーボード61に無線通信モジュール60が実装されている。無線通信モジュール60には、実施例1乃至実施例6のいずれか1つによる無線通信モジュールが用いられる。マザーボード61は、レドーム62に収容される。

Claims (8)
- 誘電体基板と、
前記誘電体基板に配置され、前記誘電体基板の表面に平行な方向に指向性を持ち、第1の方向に平行な偏波特性を持つ少なくとも1つの第1のエンドファイアアンテナと、
前記誘電体基板に配置され、前記誘電体基板の表面に平行な方向に指向性を持ち、前記第1の方向と直交する第2の方向に平行な偏波特性を持つ少なくとも1つの第2のエンドファイアアンテナと、
前記誘電体基板に配置され、相互に異なる第1の給電点及び第2の給電点が設けられた少なくとも1つのパッチアンテナと
を有し、
前記第1の給電点から前記パッチアンテナに給電を行うと、前記第1の方向と平行な偏波方向を持つ電波が励振され、前記第2の給電点から前記パッチアンテナに給電を行うと、前記第1の方向と直交する偏波方向を持つ電波が励振される無線通信モジュール。 - 前記第2の給電点から前記パッチアンテナに給電を行うと、前記第2の方向と平行な偏波方向を持つ電波が放射される請求項1に記載の無線通信モジュール。
- 前記パッチアンテナは、前記第1の方向と前記第2の方向に行列状に並んだアレイアンテナ構造を有する請求項2に記載の無線通信モジュール。
- 前記第1の方向に並ぶ前記パッチアンテナの個数が、前記第2の方向に並ぶ前記パッチアンテナの個数より多く、一部の前記パッチアンテナの各々には、前記第1の給電点及び前記第2の給電点から給電が行われ、残りのパッチアンテナの各々には、前記第2の給電点のみから給電が行われるように構成されている請求項3に記載の無線通信モジュール。
- 前記第1のエンドファイアアンテナは、前記第1の方向に並んだアレイアンテナ構造を有し、
前記第2のエンドファイアアンテナは、前記第2の方向に並んだアレイアンテナ構造を有する請求項3または4に記載の無線通信モジュール。 - 前記第1のエンドファイアアンテナには、前記第1のエンドファイアアンテナごとに、移相器を通して独立に位相が制御された高周波信号が供給可能であり、
