 従来、画像表示装置には、外光の反射、像の映り込み等によるコントラスト低下を防止することを目的として、防眩フィルムが用いられることがある。近年、画像表示装置の高精細化に伴い、防眩フィルムを起因とするギラツキが生じるという問題が生じている。具体的には、従来の防眩フィルムを高精細な画像表示装置に適用した場合、画素中に存在する輝度バラツキが強調されて、ギラツキが生じやすくなる。
 上記問題を解決する技術として、防眩フィルムの内部ヘイズを高くするという技術が提案されている。しかしながら、当該技術においては、近年求められるさらなる高精細化に対して、内部ヘイズをさらに高める必要があり、透明性の観点から実用に適さなくなるおそれがある。
 また、防眩フィルムの背面側に比較的厚いガラス等が配置される構成の画像表示装置、例えば、耐熱性が求められる車載用途の画像表示装置(例えば、カーナビゲーションのモニタ、インパネモニタ等)においては、上記ギラツキの問題がより顕著となる。
 このように、高精細化と耐熱性とが求められる画像表示装置においては、防眩性および透明性を維持しつつ、さらに、ギラツキを抑制し得る防眩フィルムの適用が求められる。

A.防眩フィルム
 図1は、本発明の1つの実施形態による防眩フィルムの概略断面図である。この防眩フィルム100は、透明基材10と、透明基材10の少なくとも一方の面に配置された防眩層20とを備える。代表的には、透明基材10は、樹脂フィルムから構成される。防眩層30は、代表的には、樹脂フィルムに防眩層形成用組成物を塗工して形成される。防眩層形成用組成物は、バインダー樹脂(あるいは、バインダー樹脂の前駆体)と粒子とを含み、このような防眩層形成用組成物から形成された防眩層30は、バインダー樹脂と粒子とを含む。好ましくは、防眩層20の透明基材10とは反対側の表面は、凹凸面であり、後述するように特定の表面形状を有する。なお、見やすくするために、図示例における各層の厚みに対する凹凸の大きさは実際とは異なって記載されていることに留意されたい。なお、図示していないが、防眩フィルムは、防眩層の透明基材とは反対側の面に、反射防止層をさらに備えていてもよい。反射防止層は、任意の適切な方法で形成され得る。
 図2は、本発明の別の実施形態による防眩フィルムの概略断面図である。この防眩フィルム100’は、透明基材10と、透明基材10の少なくとも片側に配置された防眩層30とを備え、透明基材10と防眩層30との間には、中間層1が形成されている。代表的には、上記のとおり、透明基材10は、樹脂フィルムから構成される。防眩層30は、代表的には、樹脂フィルムに防眩層形成用組成物を塗工して形成される。防眩層形成用組成物は、バインダー樹脂(あるいは、バインダー樹脂の前駆体)と粒子とを含み、このような防眩層形成用組成物から形成された防眩層30は、バインダー樹脂と粒子とを含む。中間層1は、代表的には、防眩層形成用組成物が上記樹脂フィルムに浸透して形成される。樹脂フィルムに防眩層形成用組成物を塗工して防眩層を形成する際、上記樹脂フィルムを構成する材料が、防眩層形成用組成物に溶出してもよい。このように樹脂フィルムを構成する材料が溶出して形成された部分も中間層1に該当する。すなわち、中間層1は、透明基材10を構成する材料の少なくとも一部、および防眩層30に含まれるバインダー樹脂の少なくとも一部を含み得る。中間層1は、透明基材10を構成する材料と防眩層30に含まれるバインダー樹脂とが相溶して形成された層であってもよい。また、中間層1は、透明基材10および防眩層20の両方に接する層である。
 上記防眩フィルムの厚みは、好ましくは15μm~500μmであり、より好ましくは25μm~300μmであり、さらに好ましくは30μm~100μmである。
 上記防眩フィルムは、外部ヘイズが、-5%~0.7%であり、より好ましくは-5%~0.5%であり、さらに好ましくは-2.5%~0.4%であり、特に好ましくは-2%以上0%未満である。
 外部ヘイズは、(外部ヘイズ=全体ヘイズ-内部ヘイズ)の式から求められる。全体ヘイズは、JIS K-7136に従って測定することができる。なお、ヘイズの測定は、防眩層の透明基板とは反対側の面を光出射面として行う。内部ヘイズは、防眩層の表面(ヘイズ測定時の光出射側)のヘイズに対する影響をなくした状態で、測定されたヘイズをいう。例えば、光出射側の面に、トリアセチルセルロース(TAC)フィルムを貼着し、これによって、防眩層の表面凹凸がつぶれ、平坦な層となった評価試料を作製し、該評価試料のヘイズを内部ヘイズとすることができる。すなわち、表面を平坦にした評価試料は、表面凹凸によるヘイズをもたない、内部ヘイズだけを持つ状態となっている。したがって、この評価試料のヘイズを測定して、内部ヘイズを求めることができる。また、評価試料として、光出射側の面に、樹脂(例えば、ペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレート)をトルエンなどで希釈し、固形分60重量%とした溶液を乾燥膜厚が8μmとなるように塗布して評価試料を用いてもよい。なお、防眩層を形成する組成物中にレベリング剤などが入っていることで、リコート剤がはじきやすく濡れにくいような場合は、あらかじめ防眩フィルムをケン化処理(2mol/lのNaOH(又はKOH)溶液55℃に3分浸したのち、水洗し、その後、水滴を完全に除去した後、50度オーブンで1分乾燥)により、親水処理を施すとよい。
 本発明の防眩フィルムは、外部ヘイズが上記範囲の防眩層を備えることにより、優れた防眩性および透明性を維持しつつ、ギラツキを抑制することができる。本発明の防眩フィルムは、該防眩フィルムの背面側に薄いガラス基板が設けられるような画像表示装置(例えば、パソコン)はもとより、比較的厚いガラス等が配置される構成の画像表示装置(例えば、車載用途)に対しても、優れた防眩効果を発揮し、かつ、ギラツキを抑制することができる。外部ヘイズ値は、防眩層に含まれる粒子(後述)の屈折率、防眩性を構成するバインダー樹脂の屈折率、防眩層表面の凹凸形状等により制御され得る。
 上記防眩フィルムの全体ヘイズは、好ましくは40%以下であり、より好ましくは5%~40%であり、さらに好ましくは15%~30%である。本発明によれば、防眩層の透明性を損なうことなく、すなわち、防眩層のヘイズを上昇させることなく、優れた防眩性を有し、かつ、ギラツキ抑制効果に優れた防眩フィルムを得ることができる。
 上記防眩フィルムの内部ヘイズは、好ましくは10%~40%であり、さらに好ましくは20%~32%である。
B.防眩層
 上記防眩層の一方の面(透明基材とは反対側の面)は、凹凸面であることが好ましい。該凹凸面の平均間隔Smは、好ましくは150μm~350μmであり、より好ましくは160μm~300μmであり、さらに好ましくは180μm~250μmである。
 上記凹凸面の平均傾斜角θaは、好ましくは0.1°~2.5°であり、より好ましくは0.2°~2.0°であり、さらに好ましくは0.3°~1.5°である。
 上記凹凸面の算術平均表面粗さRaは、好ましくは0.05μm~0.5μmであり、より好ましくは0.08μm~0.3μmであり、さらに好ましくは0.1μm~0.25μmである。
 なお、凹凸面の平均間隔Sm、平均傾斜角θa、算術表面粗さRaの定義は、JIS B 0601(1994年版)に基づく。また、これらの特性値は、触針式表面粗さ測定器(例えば、小阪研究所製、高精度微細形状測定器、商品名「サーフコーダET4000」)により測定することができる。なお、平均傾斜角θaは、θa=tan-1Δaの式で定義される値である。Δaは、JIS B 0601(1994年版)に規定される粗さ曲線において隣り合う凸部の頂点と凹部の最下点との差(高さh)の合計(h1+h2+h3+・・・・・・・+hn)から粗さ曲線の基準長さLを除した値であり、すなわち、Δa=(h1+h2+h3+・・・・・・・+hn)/Lの式で表される。
 本発明の防眩フィルムは、上記のような表面形状(凹凸面の平均間隔Sm、平均傾斜角θa、算術表面粗さRa)を有する防眩層を備えることにより、外部ヘイズが好ましい値となり得、その結果、優れた防眩性および透明性を維持しつつ、ギラツキを抑制することができる。防眩層の表面形状は、例えば、防眩層に含まれる粒子の種類、粒径および/または含有量、防眩層と粒子の粒径との関係、凝集性フィラー(後述)の種類および/または含有量等により制御することができる。
 好ましくは、凹凸面の平均間隔Sm(μm)、平均傾斜角θa(°)および算術表面粗さRa(μm)は、0≦Ra/Sm×θa×1000≦2の関係を示し、より好ましくは0.1≦Ra/Sm×θa×1000≦2の関係を示し、さらに好ましくは0.15≦Ra/Sm×θa×1000≦2の関係を示す。平均間隔Sm(μm)、平均傾斜角θa(°)および算術表面粗さRa(μm)の関係を上記特定の関係とすることにより、外部ヘイズが上記範囲の防眩層を容易に得ることができる。
 上記防眩層の厚みは、好ましくは3μm~15μmであり、より好ましくは4μm~13μmであり、さらに好ましくは5μm~12μmである。このような範囲であれば、画像表示装置の視認性を阻害し難い防眩フィルムを得ることができる。また、後述の粒子との組み合わせにより、凹凸形状が良好な防眩層とすることができる。
 上記防眩層は、好ましくはバインダー樹脂と粒子とを含む。該防眩層は、例えば、透明基材を構成する樹脂フィルム上に防眩層形成用組成物を塗布し、その後、該組成物を硬化して形成される。防眩層形成用組成物は、硬化性化合物、上記粒子等を含み得る。
 上記バインダー樹脂の屈折率は、好ましくは1.2~2.0であり、より好ましくは1.3~1.9であり、さらに好ましくは1.3~1.8であり、特に好ましくは1.4~1.7である。このような範囲であれば、粒子の屈折率(後述)との関係で、好ましい外部ヘイズを有する防眩層を形成することができる。「バインダー樹脂の屈折率」とは、防眩層においてバインダー樹脂で構成される領域の屈折率を意味し、粒子が存在しないと仮定した際の防眩層の屈折率に相当する。
 上記バインダー樹脂は、硬化性化合物を由来とする樹脂であり、該樹脂としては、例えば、熱硬化性樹脂、活性エネルギー線硬化性樹脂等が挙げられる。
 好ましくは、上記防眩層形成用組成物は、主成分となる硬化性化合物として、多官能モノマー、多官能モノマー由来のオリゴマーおよび/または多官能モノマー由来のプレポリマーを含む。多官能モノマーとしては、例えば、多官能アクリル系モノマーが挙げられる。具体的には、トリシクロデカンジメタノールジアクリレート、ペンタエリスリトールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ペンタエリスリトールトリ(メタ)アクリレート、トリメチロールプロパントリアクリレート、ペンタエリスリトールテトラ(メタ)アクリレート、ジメチロールプロパントテトラアクリレート、ジペンタエリスリトールヘキサ(メタ)アクリレート、1,6-ヘキサンジオール(メタ)アクリレート、1,9-ノナンジオールジアクリレート、1,10-デカンジオール(メタ)アクリレート、ポリエチレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ポリプロピレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ジプロピレングリコールジアクリレート、イソシアヌル酸トリ(メタ)アクリレート、エトキシ化グリセリントリアクリレート、エトキシ化ペンタエリスリトールテトラアクリレート等が挙げられる。多官能モノマーは、単独で用いてもよく、複数を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
 上記多官能モノマーは、水酸基を有していてもよい。水酸基を有する多官能モノマーを含む防眩層形成用組成物を用いれば、透明基材と防眩層との密着性を向上させることができる。水酸基を有する多官能モノマーとしては、例えば、ペンタエリスリトールトリ(メタ)アクリレート、ジペンタエリスリトールペンタアクリレート等が挙げられる。
 上記多官能モノマー、多官能モノマー由来のオリゴマーおよび多官能モノマー由来のプレポリマーの含有割合は、防眩層形成用組成物中のモノマー、オリゴマーおよびプレポリマーの合計量に対して、好ましくは10重量%~100重量%であり、より好ましくは30重量%~100重量%であり、さらに好ましくは40重量%~95重量%であり、特に好ましくは50重量%~95重量%である。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物は、単官能モノマーをさらに含んでいてもよい。単官能モノマーとしては、例えば、エトキシ化o-フェニルフェノール(メタ)アクリレート、メトキシポリエチレングリコール(メタ)アクリレート、フェノキシポリエチレングリコール(メタ)アクリレート、2-エチルヘキシルアクリレート、ラウリルアクリレート、イソオクチルアクリレート、イソステアリルアクリレート、シクロヘキシルアクリレート、イソホロニルアクリレート、ベンジルアクリレート、2-ヒドロキシ-3-フェノキシアクリレート、アクリロイルモルホリン、2-ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、4-ヒドロキシブチル(メタ)アクリレート、ヒドロキシエチルアクリルアミド等が挙げられる。
 上記単官能モノマーは、水酸基を有していてもよい。水酸基を有する単官能モノマーとしては、例えば、2-ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート、2-ヒドロキシプロピル(メタ)アクリレート、4-ヒドロキシブチル(メタ)アクリレート、2-ヒドロキシ-3-フェノキシアクリレート、1,4-シクロヘキサンメタノールモノアクリレート等のヒドロキシアルキル(メタ)アクリレート;N-(2-ヒドロキシエチル)(メタ)アクリルアミド、N-メチロール(メタ)アクリルアミド等のN-(2-ヒドロキシアルキル)(メタ)アクリルアミド等が挙げられる。なかでも好ましくは、4-ヒドロキシブチルアクリレート、N-(2-ヒドロキシエチル)アクリルアミドである。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物は、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートおよび/またはウレタン(メタ)アクリレートのオリゴマーを含んでいてもよい。ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートは、例えば、(メタ)アクリル酸または(メタ)アクリル酸エステルとポリオールとから得られるヒドロキシ(メタ)アクリレートを、ジイソシアネートと反応させることにより得ることができる。ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートおよびウレタン(メタ)アクリレートのオリゴマーは、単独で用いてもよく、複数を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
 上記(メタ)アクリル酸エステルとしては、例えば、メチル(メタ)アクリレート、エチル(メタ)アクリレート、イソプロピル(メタ)アクリレート、ブチル(メタ)アクリレート、シクロヘキシル(メタ)アクリレート等が挙げられる。
 上記ポリオールとしては、例えば、エチレングリコール、1,3-プロピレングリコール、1,2-プロピレングリコール、ジエチレングリコール、ジプロピレングリコール、ネオペンチルグリコール、1,3-ブタンジオール、1,4-ブタンジオール、1,6-ヘキサンジオール、1,9-ノナンジオール、1,10-デカンジオール、2,2,4-トリメチル-1,3-ペンタンジオール、3-メチル-1,5-ペンタンジオール、ヒドロキシピバリン酸ネオペンチルグリコールエステル、トリシクロデカンジメチロール、1,4-シクロヘキサンジオール、スピログリコール、水添ビスフェノールA、エチレンオキサイド付加ビスフェノールA、プロピレンオキサイド付加ビスフェノールA、トリメチロールエタン、トリメチロールプロパン、グリセリン、3-メチルペンタン-1,3,5-トリオール、ペンタエリスリトール、ジペンタエリスリトール、トリペンタエリスリトール、グルコース類等が挙げられる。
 上記ジイソシアネートとしては、例えば、芳香族、脂肪族または脂環族の各種のジイソシアネート類を使用することができる。上記ジイソシアネートの具体例としては、テトラメチレンジイソシアネート、ヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、イソホロンジイソシアネート、2,4-トリレンジイソシアネート、4,4-ジフェニルジイソシアネート、1,5-ナフタレンジイソシアネート、3,3-ジメチル-4,4-ジフェニルジイソシアネート、キシレンジイソシアネート、トリメチルヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート、4,4-ジフェニルメタンジイソシアネート、およびこれらの水添物等が挙げられる。
 上記のとおり、防眩層は粒子を含む。該粒子を含むことにより、防眩層表面を凹凸面とすることができる。また、防眩層のヘイズ値を制御することができる。上記粒子としては、例えば、無機粒子、有機粒子等が挙げられる。無機粒子の具体例としては、例えば、酸化ケイ素粒子、酸化チタン粒子、酸化アルミニウム粒子、酸化亜鉛粒子、酸化錫粒子、炭酸カルシウム粒子、硫酸バリウム粒子、タルク粒子、カオリン粒子、硫酸カルシウム粒子等が挙げられる。有機粒子の具体例としては、例えば、ポリメチルメタクリレート樹脂粒子(PMMA粒子)、シリコーン樹脂粒子、ポリスチレン樹脂粒子、ポリカーボネート樹脂粒子、アクリルスチレン樹脂粒子、ベンゾグアナミン樹脂粒子、メラミン樹脂粒子、ポリオレフィン樹脂粒子、ポリエステル樹脂粒子、ポリアミド樹脂粒子、ポリイミド樹脂粒子、ポリフッ化エチレン樹脂粒子等が挙げられる。上記粒子は、単独で用いてもよく、複数を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
 上記粒子の重量平均粒径は、好ましくは1μm~10μmであり、より好ましくは2μm~7μmである。このような範囲であれば、防眩性により優れ、かつ、白ボケを防止し得る防眩性フィルムを得ることができる。粒子の重量平均粒径は、コールターカウント法により測定され得る。なお、防眩層中あるいは防眩層形成用組成物中において、上記粒子は、1次粒子の形態および/または1次粒子が凝集した形態で存在し得るが、本明細書において「粒子の重量平均粒径」とは、粒子形態にかかわらず、防眩層形成用組成物中の粒子について、コールターカウント法により測定される重量平均粒径を意味する。
 上記防眩層の厚みと上記粒子の重量平均粒径との比(粒子の重量平均粒径/防眩層の厚み)は、好ましくは0.3~0.9であり、より好ましくは0.35~0.8である。このような範囲であれば、ギラツキ抑制効果のより大きい防眩層を形成することができる。
 上記粒子の屈折率n1は、好ましくは1.1~1.9であり、より好ましくは1.2~1.7である。このような屈折率n1を有する粒子としては、例えば、シリコーン粒子、ポリスチレン粒子、ポリメタクリル酸メチル、スチレンとメタクリル酸の共重合体等が挙げられる。また、上記粒子の屈折率(n1)と上記バインダー樹脂との屈折率(n2)との差(n1-n2)は、好ましくは0.5以下であり、より好ましくは0.3以下である。また、(n1-n2)の下限値は、好ましくは-0.9以上であり、より好ましくは-0.8以上である。このような範囲であれば、好ましい外部ヘイズを有する防眩層を形成することができる。また、バインダー樹脂の屈折率(n2)に対する上記粒子の屈折率(n1)の比(n1/n2)は、好ましくは0.8~1.2であり、より好ましくは0.9~1.1である。このような範囲であれば、透明性およびギラツキ抑制効果に優れる防眩フィルムを得ることができる。なお、複数種の粒子を含む場合、「粒子の屈折率(n1)」とは、複数の粒子の平均屈折率であり、例えば、粒子A(屈折率:na、重量比率:x)、粒子B(屈折率:nb、重量比率:y)および/または粒子C(屈折率:nc、重量比率:z)を含む場合、「粒子の屈折率n1」は、n1=na×x+nb×y+nc×zの式から求められる(ただし、0≦x、y、z≦1であり、x+y+z=1である)。
 上記粒子の形状は、特に限定されず、例えば、ビーズ状等の略球状であってもよく、粉末等の不定形状であってもよい。好ましくは、アスペクト比が1.5以下の略球状の粒子であり、より好ましくは球状の粒子である。
 上記防眩層において、粒子の含有割合は、バインダー樹脂100重量部に対して、好ましくは0.2重量部~12重量部であり、より好ましくは0.5重量部~12重量部であり、さらに好ましくは1重量部~7重量部である。このような範囲であれば、防眩性により優れ、かつ、白ボケを防止し得る防眩性フィルムを得ることができる。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物中において、上記粒子は、分散性よく(凝集が少ない状態で)存在していることが好ましい。粒子の分散性(分散度合い)は、レーザー回折散乱式粒度分布測定法、動的光散乱法、静的光散乱法等による粒度分布測定から評価することができる。また、走査電子顕微鏡等による顕微鏡観察により測定することができる。
 防眩層形成用組成物中の粒子の分散性をレーザー回折散乱式粒度分布測定法による粒度分布で評価した場合、D50(体積累積50%における粒径)と体積累積粒径D90(体積累積90%における粒径)との差の絶対値は、5μm以下であることが好ましく、3μm未満であることがより好ましく、1μm未満であることがさらに好ましく、0μm以上1μm未満であることが特に好ましい。このような範囲であれば、適切な表面形状を有する防眩層を形成することができる。このような範囲であれば、適切な表面形状を有する防眩層を形成することができる。
 防眩層形成用組成物中の粒子の分散性をレーザー回折散乱式粒度分布測定法による粒度分布で評価した場合、1μm以上5μm未満の粒子の含有割合は、該組成物中の粒子の全量に対して、50重量%を超えることが好ましく、70重量%以上であることがより好ましく、80重量%~100重量%であることがさらに好ましい。このような範囲であれば、適切な表面形状を有する防眩層を形成することができる。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物は凝集性フィラーをさらに含み得る。すなわち、上記防眩層は、凝集性フィラーをさらに含み得る。凝集性フィラーを凝集させることにより、防眩層表面の凹凸形状をより厳密に制御することができる。より具体的には、上記凝集性フィラーの凝集状態を調整して、好ましい形状の凹凸面を容易に得ることができる。凝集性フィラーの凝集状態は、該フィラーの性質(例えば、表面の化学的修飾状態、バインダー樹脂に対する親和性、防眩層形成用組成物に含まれる溶媒に対する親和性)、防眩層形成用組成物に含まれる溶媒の種類等により調整することができる。
 上記凝集性フィラーとしては、例えば、有機粘土、酸化ポリオレフィン、変性ウレア等が挙げられる。なかでも好ましくは、有機粘土である。
 上記有機粘土としては、例えば、スメクタイト、タルク、ベントナイト、モンモリロナイト、カオリナイト等が挙げられる。なかでも好ましくはスメクタイトである。有機粘土として市販品を用いてもよい。市販品の有機粘土としては、例えば、コープケミカル社製の商品名「ルーセンタイトSAN」、商品名「ルーセンタイトSTN」、商品名「ルーセンタイトSEN」、商品名「ルーセンタイトSPN」、商品名「ソマシフME-100」、商品名「ソマシフMAE」、商品名「ソマシフMTE」、商品名「ソマシフMEE」、商品名「ソマシフMPE」;ホージュン社製の商品名「エスベン」、商品名「エスベンC」、商品名「エスベンE」、商品名「エスベンW」、商品名「エスベンP」、商品名「エスベンWX」、商品名「エスベンN-400」、商品名「エスベンNX」、商品名「エスベンNX80」、商品名「エスベンNO12S」、商品名「エスベンNEZ」、商品名「エスベンNO12」、商品名「エスベンNE」、商品名「エスベンNZ」、商品名「エスベンNZ70」、商品名「オルガナイト」、商品名「オルガナイトD」、商品名「オルガナイトT」;クニミネ工業社製の商品名「クニピアF」、商品名「クニピアG」、商品名「クニピアG4」;ロックウッド・アディティブズ社製の商品名「チクソゲルVZ」、商品名「クレイトンHT」、商品名「クレイトン40」等が挙げられる。
 上記酸化ポリオレフィンとしては、例えば、楠本化成社製の商品名「ディスパロン4200-20」、共栄社化学社製の商品名「フローノンSA300」等が挙げられる。
 上記変性ウレアは、イソシアネート単量体またはそのアダクト体と有機アミンとの反応物である。変性ウレアとしては、例えば、ビッグケミー社製の商品名「BYK410」等が挙げられる。
 上記凝集性フィラーの含有割合は、上記バインダー樹脂100重量部に対して、好ましくは0.2重量部~5重量部であり、より好ましくは0.4重量部~4重量部である。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物は、好ましくは、任意の適切な光重合開始剤を含む。光重合開始剤としては、例えば、2,2-ジメトキシ-2-フェニルアセトフェノン、アセトフェノン、ベンゾフェノン、キサントン、3-メチルアセトフェノン、4-クロロベンゾフェノン、4,4’-ジメトキシベンゾフェノン、ベンゾインプロピルエーテル、ベンジルジメチルケタール、N,N,N’,N’-テトラメチル-4,4’-ジアミノベンゾフェノン、1-(4-イソプロピルフェニル)-2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチルプロパン-1-オン、チオキサントン系化合物等が挙げられる。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物は、溶媒を含んでいてもよく、含んでいなくてもよい。好ましくは、上記防眩層形成用組成物は、溶媒を含む。溶媒としては、例えば、メタノール、エタノール、イソプロピルアルコール、ブタノール、2-メトキシエタノール等のアルコール類;アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、メチルイソブチルケトン、シクロペンタノン等のケトン類;酢酸メチル、酢酸エチル、酢酸ブチル等のエステル類;ジイソプロピルエーテル、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテル等のエーテル類;エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール等のグリコール類;エチルセロソルブ、ブチルセロソルブ等のセロソルブ類;ヘキサン、ヘプタン、オクタン等の脂肪族炭化水素類;ベンゼン、トルエン、キシレン等の芳香族炭化水素類等が挙げられる。これらは、単独で用いてもよく、複数を組み合わせて用いてもよい。上記有機粘土含む防眩層形成用組成物を用いる場合、溶媒として、トルエン、シクロペンタノンおよび/またはキシレンを用いることが好ましい。
 1つの実施形態においては、上記溶媒として、シクロペンタノンおよび/またはメチルエチルケトンを含む混合溶媒(例えば、シクロペンタノンとトルエンとを含む混合溶媒、メチルエチルケトンとトルエンとを含む混合溶媒)が用いられる。このような混合溶媒を用いれば、シクロペンタノンまたはメチルエチルケトンの含有割合により中間層の厚みを調整することができる。混合溶媒中のシクロペンタノンまたはメチルエチルケトンの含有割合は、混合溶媒全量に対して、好ましくは1重量%~50重量%であり、より好ましくは3重量%~50重量%である。さらに好ましくは、シクロペンタノンとトルエンとの混合溶媒であり、シクロペンタノンの含有割合が1重量%~50重量%である混合溶媒が用いられる。このような混合溶媒を含む防眩層形成用組成物を用いれば、防眩フィルムの透明基材として好適な樹脂フィルム(例えば、トリアセチルセルロースフィルム)に対して、好ましい厚みの中間層を形成しつつ、防眩層を形成することができる。
 1つの実施形態においては、上記溶媒のSP値は、好ましくは7~12(cal/cm1/2であり、より好ましくは8~11(cal/cm1/2である。このような範囲であれば、防眩フィルムの透明基材として好適な樹脂フィルム(例えば、トリアセチルセルロースフィルム)に対して、好ましい厚みの中間層を形成しつつ、防眩層を形成することができる。なお、SP値は、Smallの式によって算出される溶解度パラメータである。SP値の計算は、公知の文献(例えば、Journal of Applied Chemistry,3,71,1953.など)に記載された方法で行うことができる。また、溶媒が混合溶媒である場合には、該混合溶媒のSP値は、混合溶媒を構成する各溶媒のモル分率に基づいて計算され得る。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物の固形分濃度は、好ましくは20重量%~80重量%であり、より好ましくは25重量%~60重量%であり、さらに好ましくは30重量%~50重量%である。このような範囲であれば、好ましい形状の凹凸面を得ることができ、外部ヘイズを適切に調整することができる。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物は、任意の適切な添加剤をさらに含み得る。添加剤としては、例えば、レベリング剤、ブロッキング防止剤、分散安定剤、揺変剤、酸化防止剤、紫外線吸収剤、消泡剤、増粘剤、分散剤、界面活性剤、触媒、滑剤、帯電防止剤等が挙げられる。
 上記防眩層は、上記防眩層形成用組成物を透明基材に塗布した後に硬化させて得ることができる。防眩層形成用組成物の塗布方法としては、任意の適切な方法を採用し得る。例えば、バーコート法、ロールコート法、グラビアコート法、ロッドコート法、スロットオリフィスコート法、カーテンコート法、ファウンテンコート法、コンマコート法が挙げられる。
 なお、1つの実施形態においては、上記防眩層形成用組成物を透明基材に塗布した後、硬化する前(あるは硬化処理中)において、塗布層が形成された透明基材を傾斜または回転させる。防眩層形成用組成物中に凝集性フィラーを含む場合、このような操作を行うことにより、凝集性フィラー同士の接触が促進されて、凝集性フィラーを適切に凝集(せん断凝集)させることができる。例えば、上記傾斜または回転における、傾斜角または回転速度を調整することにより、凝集性フィラーの凝集状態を制御することができる。
 上記防眩層形成用組成物の硬化方法としては、任意の適切な硬化処理が採用され得る。代表的には、硬化処理は紫外線照射により行われる。紫外線照射の積算光量は、好ましくは50mJ/cm~500mJ/cmである。
C.透明基材
 上記透明基材は、樹脂フィルムから形成され得る。上記透明基材(樹脂フィルム)としては、可視光線透過性を有する限り任意の適切な基材(樹脂フィルム)が用いられ得る。前記透明基材(樹脂フィルム)を構成する材料として、例えば、トリアセチルセルロース(TAC)、ポリカーボネート、アクリル系ポリマー、環状ポリオレフィン、ノルボルネン構造を有するポリオレフィン、ポリエチレンテレフタレート等が挙げられる。
 上記透明基材の厚みは、好ましくは10μm~500μmであり、より好ましくは20μm~300μmであり、さらに好ましくは30μm~100μmである。なお、防眩フィルムに中間層が形成されていない場合、透明基材の厚みは上記樹脂フィルムの厚みに相当する。また、防眩フィルムに中間層が形成されている場合、透明基材の厚みは、上記樹脂フィルム中の中間層が形成されていない部分の厚みに相当する。
 上記樹脂フィルムを構成する樹脂のSP値は、好ましくは10(cal/cm1/2以上であり、より好ましくは15(cal/cm1/2以上であり、さらに好ましくは20(cal/cm1/2以上である。このような範囲であれば、適切な厚みの中間層が形成され得る。上記樹脂のSP値の上限は、例えば、30(cal/cm1/2以下であり、好ましくは28(cal/cm1/2以下であり、より好ましくは25(cal/cm1/2以下である。1つの実施形態においては、上記防眩層形成用組成物に含まれる溶媒のSP値と、上記樹脂フィルムを構成する樹脂のSP値との差(樹脂SP値-溶媒SP値)は、好ましくは-10~20(cal/cm1/2であり、より好ましくは5~20(cal/cm1/2であり、10~15(cal/cm1/2である。
 上記透明基材の屈折率は、好ましくは1.30~1.80である。
D.中間層
 上記のとおり、透明基材と防眩層との間には、中間層が形成されていてもよい。
 上記中間層の厚み(図2における厚みb)は、該防眩層の厚み(図2における厚みa)に対して、好ましくは0.1%~123%である。上記防眩層の厚みに対する中間層の厚み比の下限は、好ましくは1%であり、より好ましくは3%である。また、上記防眩層の厚みに対する中間層の厚み比の上限は、好ましくは100%であり、より好ましくは85%であり、さらに好ましくは65%である。なお、中間層、防眩層および透明基材の厚みは、防眩フィルムの断面を顕微鏡(例えば、TEM)で観察し、中間層と、樹脂層および接着剤層の界面を特定して測定され得る。界面の特定には、所定の分析法(例えば、飛行時間型二次イオン質量分析法)を用いてもよい。
 本発明においては、防眩層を形成した際に形成される上記中間層の厚みが厚くなりすぎないよう、上記比率に制御することにより、ギラツキ抑制効果がより高い防眩フィルムを得ることができる。本発明の防眩フィルムは、高精細な画像表示装置に適用しても、優れたギラツキ抑制効果を発現し得る。また、本発明の防眩フィルムは、防眩層の内部ヘイズを比較的小さくしても、ギラツキが生じ難く、そのため、透明性に優れる。さらに、防眩層の厚みに対する中間層の厚みの比率を123%以下とすることにより、耐擦傷性に優れる防眩層が形成され得る。
 また、防眩層の厚みに対する中間層の厚みの比率を3%以上(より好ましくは10%以上)とすることにより、防眩層中で上記粒子が分散性よく(凝集が少ない状態で)存在し得、その結果、ギラツキを抑制し得る防眩フィルムを得ることができる。
 上記中間層の厚みは、好ましくは0.1μm~30μmであり、より好ましくは0.3μm~20μmであり、さらに好ましくは1μm~10μmであり、特に好ましくは1.5μm~5μmである。
D.画像表示装置
 図3は、本発明の防眩フィルムを用いた画像表示装置の一例を示す概略断面図である。図3においては、画像表示装置200の一部(視認側)を示す。画像表示装置200は、防眩フィルム100と、画像表示セル30とを備える。好ましくは、防眩フィルム100は透明基材10を画像表示セル30側にして配置される。防眩フィルム100と画像表示セル30との間には、任意の適切な光学部材Aが配置され得、防眩層10と画像表示セル30との間には所定のギャップXが形成される。光学部材Aとしては、例えば、ガラス基板、偏光板、位相差フィルム、接着剤層、粘着剤層等が挙げられる。防眩フィルム100と画像表示セル30との間には、単独の光学部材が配置されていてもよく、複数個、複数種の光学部材が配置されていてもよい。
 上記画像表示セルとしては、任意の適切な画像表示セルが用いられ得る。例えば、上記画像表示装置が液晶表示装置の場合は液晶セル、有機EL画像表示装置の場合は有機EL素子が、画像表示セルに該当する。液晶セルは代表的には、一対の基板と、該基板間に配された表示媒体としての液晶層とを有する。
 防眩フィルムにおける防眩層と画像表示セルとのギャップXは、好ましくは50μm~800μmである。1つの実施形態においては、上記画像表示装置のギャップXは、100μm以上である。本発明の防眩フィルムは、このようにギャップXの大きい場合にもギラツキを抑制することができる。なお、防眩フィルムにおける防眩層と画像表示セルとのギャップXとは、防眩層の背面(画像表示セル側の面)と画像表示セルの視認側面(防眩フィルム側の面)とがなす距離を意味する。したがって、ギャップXは、防眩フィルム100と画像表示セル30との間に配置される光学部材Aの総厚(例えば、偏光板、ガラス基板および/または粘着剤層の合計厚み)と、防眩フィルムにおける透明基材(中間層が形成されている場合は透明基材および中間層)との合計厚みに該当する。また、画像表示セルが液晶セルの場合は、該液晶セルが備える視認側基板の視認側面と、防眩層の背面との距離が上記ギャップXである。
 本発明の防眩フィルムは、ギャップXが小さい画像表示装置はもとより、ギャップXが大きい画像表示装置(例えば、比較的厚いガラス基板(例えば、厚みが100μm~800μmのガラス基板)を備える画像表示装置)にも好適に用いられる。従来、耐熱性、強度等が要求される用途(例えば、車載用途)においては、ガラス基板を厚くすることにより耐熱性を高めている。しがしながら、ガラス基板を厚くするに伴い、すなわち、上記ギャップXを厚くするにともない、防眩フィルムを適用した場合に生じるギラツキが大きくなるということを、本発明の発明者らは見いだした。すなわち、本発明の防眩フィルムは、当該課題を解決し得るものであり、車載用途の画像表示装置に好適に用いられ得る。また、本発明の防眩フィルムを用いることの効果は、高精細な画像表示装置に対して、より顕著となる。
 上記画像表示装置は、任意の適切な部材をさらに含み得る。例えば、画像表示セルの背面側に設けられる偏光板、光学フィルム、バックライト等をさらに含み得る。
 以下、実施例によって本発明を具体的に説明するが、本発明はこれら実施例によって限定されるものではない。
 なお、粒子の重量平均粒径は、コールターカウント法により、測定した。具体的には、防眩層形成用組成物について、細孔電気抵抗法を利用した粒度分布測定装置(ベックマン・コールター社製、商品名「コールターマルチサイザー」)を用い、粒子が細孔を通過する際の粒子の体積に相当する電解液の電気抵抗を測定することにより、粒子の数と体積を測定し、重量平均粒径を算出した。
 また、各層の厚みは、断面を光学顕微鏡(キーエンス社製、商品名「VHX-700F」)またはTEM(Hitachi社製、商品名「H-7650」)で観察して測定した。光学顕微鏡による観察の際には、樹脂包埋を行った防眩フィルムをミクロトームにより切断して、観察用サンプルを作製した。また、TEMによる観察の際には、重金属染色処理を含む超薄切片法によりサンプルを作製した。
 また、屈折率は、アタゴ社製のアッベ屈折率計(商品名:DR-M2/1550)を用い、中間液としてモノブロモナフタレンを選択し、測定対象の測定面に対して測定光を入射させるようにして、前記装置に示される規定の測定方法により測定を行った。
[実施例1]
 バインダー樹脂としてのペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレート(大阪有機化学社製、商品名「ビスコート♯300」)50重量部およびウレタンアクリレートプレポリマー(新中村化学工業社製、商品名「UA-53H-80BK」)50重量部と、シリコーン粒子(モメンティブ・パフォーマンス・マテリアルズ・ジャパン合同会社製、商品名「トスパール130」、重量平均粒径:3μm、屈折率:1.42)3.5重量部と、有機粘土である合成スメクタイト(コープケミカル社製、商品名「ルーセンタイトSAN」)2重量部と、光重合開始剤(BASF社製、商品名「イルガキュア907」)3重量部と、レベリング剤(DIC社製、商品名「PC4100」、固形分10%)0.2重量部とを混合し、トルエン/シクロペンタノン(CPN)混合溶媒(重量比70/30)で希釈して、固形分濃度35重量%の防眩層形成用組成物を調製した。なお、有機粘土は、トルエンで固形分が6重量%になるよう希釈して用いた。
 透明基材としてのトリアセチルセルロースフィルム(コニカミノルタオプト社製、商品名「KC4UA」、厚み:40μm)に、上記防眩層形成用組成物をコンマコーター(登録商標)を用いて塗布し、80℃で1分間加熱した後、高圧水銀ランプにて積算光量300mJ/cmの紫外線を照射して、透明基材上に防眩層(厚み:6.3μm)が形成された防眩フィルムを得た。また、該防眩フィルムの透明基材と防眩層との間には、1.7μmの中間層が形成されていた。
[実施例2]
 バインダー樹脂としてのペンタエリスリトールトリアクリレート(大阪有機化学社製、商品名「ビスコート♯300」)50重量部およびウレタンアクリレートプレポリマー(新中村化学工業社製、商品名「UA-53H-80BK」)50重量部と、シリコーン粒子(モメンティブ・パフォーマンス・マテリアルズ・ジャパン合同会社製、商品名「トスパール130」、重量平均粒径:3μm、屈折率:1.42)1.7重量部と、ポリスチレン粒子(積水化成品工業社製、商品名「テクポリマー」、重量平均粒径:3μm、屈折率:1.59)2.3重量部と、有機粘土である合成スメクタイト(コープケミカル社製、商品名「ルーセンタイトSAN」)2重量部と、光重合開始剤(BASF社製、商品名「イルガキュア907」)3重量部と、レベリング剤(DIC社製、商品名「PC4100」、固形分10%)0.2重量部とを混合し、トルエン/シクロペンタノン(CPN)混合溶媒(重量比70/30)で希釈して、固形分濃度35重量%の防眩層形成用組成物を調製した。なお、有機粘土は、トルエンで固形分が6重量%になるよう希釈して用いた。
 透明基材としてのトリアセチルセルロースフィルム(コニカミノルタオプト社製、商品名「KC4UA」、厚み:40μm)に、上記防眩層形成用組成物をコンマコーター(登録商標)を用いて塗布し、80℃で1分間加熱した後、高圧水銀ランプにて積算光量300mJ/cmの紫外線を照射して、透明基材上に防眩層(厚み:6.3μm)が形成された防眩フィルムを得た。また、該防眩フィルムの透明基材と防眩層との間には、1.7μmの中間層が形成されていた。
[比較例1]
 シリコーン粒子(モメンティブ・パフォーマンス・マテリアルズ・ジャパン合同会社製、商品名「トスパール130」、重量平均粒径:3μm、屈折率:1.42)3.5重量部に代えて、ポリスチレン粒子(積水化成品工業社製、商品名「テクポリマー」、重量平均粒径:3μm、屈折率:1.59)5重量部を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、防眩フィルムを得た。
[比較例2]
 有機粘土である合成スメクタイト(コープケミカル社製、商品名「ルーセンタイトSAN」)の配合量を1.85重量部とし、防眩層形成用組成物の固形分濃度を36重量%としたた以外は、比較例1と同様にして防眩フィルムを得た。
[比較例3]
 バインダー樹脂としてのウレタンアクリレート(DIC社製、商品名「ユニディック 17-806」)100重量部と、ポリスチレン粒子(綜研化学社製、商品名「SX-350H」、重量平均粒径:3.5μm、屈折率:1.59)15重量部と、光重合開始剤(BASF社製、商品名「イルガキュア907」)3重量部と、レベリング剤(DIC社製、商品名「PC4100」、固形分10%)0.2重量部とを混合し、トルエン/シクロペンタノン(CPN)混合溶媒(重量比70/30)で希釈して、固形分濃度32重量%の防眩層形成用組成物を調製した。なお、有機粘土は、トルエンで固形分が6重量%になるよう希釈して用いた。
 透明基材としてのトリアセチルセルロースフィルム(コニカミノルタオプト社製、商品名「KC4UA」、厚み:40μm)に、上記防眩層形成用組成物をコンマコーター(登録商標)を用いて塗布し、80℃で1分間加熱した後、高圧水銀ランプにて積算光量300mJ/cmの紫外線を照射して、透明基材上に防眩層(厚み:6.3μm)が形成された防眩フィルムを得た。
[比較例4]
 ポリスチレン粒子(綜研化学社製、商品名「SX-350H」、重量平均粒径:3.5μm、屈折率:1.59)15重量部に代えて、多孔質シリカ粒子(富士シリシア化学社製、商品名「サイロホービック702」、重量平均粒径:2.5μm、屈折率:1.46)1.56重量部と多孔質シリカ粒子(富士シリシア化学社製、商品名「サイロホービック100」、重量平均粒径:1.4μm、屈折率:1.46)1.35重量部とを用い、防眩層形成用組成物の固形分濃度を48重量%とした以外は、比較例3と同様にして防眩フィルムを得た。
[比較例5]
 ポリスチレン粒子(綜研化学社製、商品名「SX-350H」、重量平均粒径:3.5μm、屈折率:1.59)15重量部に代えて、多孔質シリカ粒子(富士シリシア化学社製、商品名「サイロホービック100」、重量平均粒径:1.4μm、屈折率:1.46)11.6重量部を用い、防眩層形成用組成物の固形分濃度を42重量%とした以外は、比較例3と同様にして防眩フィルムを得た。
[比較例6]
 シリコーン粒子(モメンティブ・パフォーマンス・マテリアルズ・ジャパン合同会社製、商品名「トスパール130」、重量平均1次粒径:3μm、屈折率:1.42)の配合量を1.6重量部とし、ポリスチレン粒子(積水化成品工業社製、商品名「テクポリマー」、重量平均粒径:3μm、屈折率:1.59)の配合量を2.4重量部とした以外は、実施例2と同様にして防眩フィルムを得た。
<評価>
 実施例および比較例で得られた防眩フィルムを以下の評価に供した。結果を表1に示す。
1、防眩層凹凸面の形状(Ra、Sm、θa)
 JIS B0601(1994年度版)に従って、平均凹凸間距離Sm(mm)および算術平均表面粗さRa(μm)を測定した。具体的には、防眩フィルムの透明基材の防眩層とは反対側の面に、ガラス板(MATSUNAMI社製、MICRO SLIDE GLASS、品番S、厚み1.3mm、45×50mm)を粘着剤で貼り合わせ、試料を作製した。先端部(ダイヤモンド)の曲率半径R=2μmの測定針を有する触針式表面粗さ測定器((株)小阪研究所製、高精度微細形状測定器、商品名「サーフコーダET4000」)を用い、走査速度0.1mm/秒、カットオフ値0.8mm、測定長4mmの条件で、前記試料おける防眩層の表面形状を一定方向に測定し、平均凹凸間距離Sm(mm)および算術平均表面粗さRaを求めた。また、得られた表面粗さ曲線から平均傾斜角度θa(°)を求めた。なお、前記高精度微細形状測定器は、前記各測定値を自動算出する。
2、全体ヘイズ
 JIS K 7136(2000年版)のヘイズ(曇度)に準じ、ヘイズメーター(村上色彩技術研究所製、商品名「HM-150」)を用いて測定した。
3、内部ヘイズおよび外部ヘイズ
 防眩フィルムの防眩層表面(透明基材とは反対側の面)に、トリアセチルセルロース(TAC)フィルムを貼着して得られた評価試料のヘイズ値を、上記(2)の方法で測定して得られた値を内部ヘイズとした。
 全体ヘイズから内部ヘイズを減じた値を外部ヘイズとした。
4、ギラツキ評価
(ギャップX=60μmでの評価)
 バックライト(ハクバ写真産業社製、商品名「ライトビューワー5700」)上にガラス板(厚み:700μm)を配置し、該ガラス板のバックライトとは反対側の面に、ブラックマトリックスパターンを配置して評価用テーブルを準備した。
 この評価用テーブル上に、ギャップXの一部を構成する部材Aとして、粘着剤層(厚み:20μm)を配置した。
 上記部材Aの上に、透明基材を下にして(すなわち、粘着剤層と透明基材とが対向するようにして)、実施例および比較例で得られた防眩フィルムを配置した。このような構成は、ギャップXが60μm(=粘着剤層20μm+透明基材と中間層との合計40μm)である場合のギラツキを評価する構成である。
 次いで、防眩フィルムに光を照射して、防眩フィルムに生じるギラツキを、下記の基準で評価した。
 なお、ブラックマトリックスパターンの精細度は、105ppi、200ppi、267ppiとし、それぞれの精細度について上記評価を行った。
 ○:ギラツキがほとんどない
 △:ギラツキはあるが、実用上問題がない程度である
 ×:実用上問題のあるギラツキがみられた
(ギャップX=500μmでの評価)
 上記と同様にして、評価用テーブルを準備した。
 この評価用テーブル上に、ギャップXの一部を構成する部材Aとして、TACフィルム(厚み:80μm)4枚と粘着剤層(厚み:20μm)4層とをそれぞれ交互に積層し、さらにTACフィルム(厚み:40μm)と粘着剤層(厚み:20μm)とを積層した。
 上記部材Aの上に、透明基材を下にして(すなわち、粘着剤層と透明基材とが対向するようにして)、実施例および比較例で得られた防眩フィルムを配置した。なお、このような構成は、ギャップXが500μm(=TAC80μm×4+TAC40μm×1+粘着剤層20μm×5+透明基材と中間層との合計40μm)である場合のギラツキを評価する構成である。
 このような構成で、上記と同様の評価を行った。
(ギャップX=800μmでの評価)
 上記と同様にして、評価用テーブルを準備した。
 この評価用テーブル上に、ギャップXの一部を構成する部材Aとして、TACフィルム(厚み:80μm)7枚と粘着剤層(厚み:20μm)7層とをそれぞれ交互に積層し、さらにTACフィルム(厚み:40μm)と粘着剤層(厚み:20μm)とを積層した。
 上記部材Aの上に、透明基材を下にして(すなわち、粘着剤層と透明基材とが対向するようにして)、実施例および比較例で得られた防眩フィルムを配置した。このような構成は、ギャップXが800μm(=TAC80μm×7+TAC40μm×1+粘着剤層20μm×8+透明基材と中間層との合計40μm)である場合のギラツキを評価する構成である。
 このような構成で、上記と同様の評価を行った。
5、白ボケ
 透明基材の防眩層とは反対側の面に、黒色アクリル板(三菱レイヨン社製、厚み:2mm)を粘着剤を介して貼り合わせ、裏面反射の影響を抑えた評価試料を作製した。
 照度1000Lxの環境下(ディスプレイを用いる一般的なオフィス環境に相当)、該評価試料の上面に対し、垂直方向を基準(0°)として60°の方向から、白ボケ現象の程度を目視により観察し、下記の評価基準で評価した。
 ○:白ボケが見られない
 △:視認性への影響が少ない程度の白ボケが見られる
 ×:視認性を著しく低下させるほどの強い白ボケが見られる
6、防眩性
 透明基材の防眩層とは反対側の面に、黒色アクリル板(三菱レイヨン社製、厚み:2mm)を粘着剤を介して貼り合わせ、裏面反射の影響を抑えて評価試料を作製した。
 照度1000Lxの環境下(ディスプレイを用いる一般的なオフィス環境に相当)、該評価試料を蛍光灯(三波長光源)で照らし、防眩フィルムの防眩性を、以下の評価基準で目視にて評価した。
 ○:写り込む蛍光灯の輪郭の像を残さず、防眩性に優れる

 表1から明らかなように、本発明の防眩フィルムは、背面側に配置された部材の厚みによらず、ギラツキを抑制することができ、かつ、透明性および防眩性に優れる。また、高精細な画像表示装置においても、当該効果を発揮し得る。

Claims (8)

  1.  透明基材と、該透明基材の少なくとも一方の面に配置された防眩層とを備え、
     外部ヘイズが、-5%~0.7%である、
     防眩フィルム。
  2.  全体ヘイズが、5%~40%である、請求項1に記載の防眩フィルム。
  3.  内部ヘイズが、10%~40%である、請求項1または2に記載の防眩フィルム。
  4.  前記防眩層の前記透明基材とは反対側の表面が、凹凸面であり該凹凸面における凹凸の平均間隔Smと、平均傾斜角θaと、凹凸面の算術平均表面粗さRaとが、0≦Ra/Sm×θa×1000≦2の関係を示す、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の防眩フィルム。
  5.  前記防眩層が、バインダー樹脂と粒子とを含み、
     該粒子の屈折率n1と、該バインダー樹脂の屈折率n2との差(n1-n2)が、0.5以下である、請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の防眩フィルム。
  6.  前記防眩層が、凝集性フィラーを含む、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の防眩フィルム。
  7.  前記凝集性フィラーが、有機粘土である、請求項6に記載の防眩フィルム。
  8.  前記透明基材と前記防眩層との間に形成され、該透明基材を構成する材料の少なくとも一部および/または該バインダー樹脂の少なくとも一部とを含む、中間層をさらに備え、
     該中間層の厚みが、該防眩層の厚みに対して、0.1%~123%である、
     請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の防眩フィルム。
