Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Alkalimetallmonohydridotricyanoboraten oder Alkalimetalldihydridodicyanoboraten durch Umsetzung eines Dichlorhydrido-Boran-Komplexes oder eines Chlordihydrido-Boran-Komplexes mit einem Alkalimetallcyanid und einem Trialkylsilylcyanid.

Description

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Salzen mit Hydridocyanoborat-Anionen
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Alkalimetall- monohydridotricyanoboraten oder Alkalimetalldihydridodicyanoboraten durch Umsetzung eines Dichlorhydrido-Boran-Komplexes oder eines Chlordihydrido-Boran-Komplexes mit einem Alkalimetallcyanid und einem Trialkylsilylcyanid.
Alkalimetallsalze mit Monohydridotricyanoborat-Anionen sind aus der Offenlegungsschrift WO 2012/163489 bekannt und dienen beispielsweise als Ausgangsstoffe zur Synthese von Monohydridotricyanoborat-Salzen mit vorzugsweise organischen Kationen. Derartige ionische Flüssigkeiten mit Monohydridotricyanoborat-Anionen sind beispielsweise als
Elektrolytkomponente für elektrochemische Zellen, insbesondere für Farbstoffsolarzellen, geeignet. In WO 2012/163489 wird auch die Synthese dieser Alkalimetallsalze beschrieben, beispielsweise durch die Verfahren der Ansprüche 4 bis 6.
In diesen Verfahren werden als Ausgangsstoffe entweder
Alkalimetalltetracyanoborate oder Alkalimetalltetrahydridoborate eingesetzt.
In B. Gyöh et al, Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 255, 1983, 17-28 wird beispielsweise die Isomerisierung von Natriumtriisocyanohydridoborat (Addukt mit 0.5 mol Dioxan) zu Natriummonohydridotricyanoborat in siedendem n-Dibutylether beschrieben.
Alkalimetallsalze mit Dihydridodicyanoborat-Anionen sind aus den
Offenlegungsschriften WO 2012/163490 und WO 2012/163488 bekannt und dienen ebenfalls als Ausgangsstoffe zur Synthese von
Dihydridodicyanoborat-Salzen mit vorzugsweise organischen Kationen, die beispielsweise für die Anwendung als Elektrolytkomponente in
elektrochemischen Zellen, insbesondere Farbstoffsolarzellen, geeignet sind. In WO 2012/163488 werden Verfahren zur Herstellung der
Alkalimetalldihydridodicyanoborate beschrieben, in denen entweder ein Alkalimetalltetrahydridoborat oder ein Alkalimetalltrihydridocyanoborat als Ausgangsstoffe verwendet werden.
Eine Synthese von Lithium [BH2(CN)2] ist beispielsweise aus B. Györi et al, Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1983, 255, 17-28 bekannt, wobei oligomeres 1/n (BH2CN)n mit L1CN CH3CN in Dimethylsulfid umgesetzt wird.
Eine Synthese von Natrium [BH2(CN)2] ist beispielsweise aus B.F.
Spielvogel et al, Inorg. Chem. 1984, 23, 3262-3265 bekannt, wobei ein Komplex aus Anillin mit BH2CN mit Natriumcyanid umgesetzt wird. Als Lösemittel wird Tetrahydrofuran beschrieben. Auch P.G. Egan et al, Inorg. Chem. 1984, 23, 2203-2204 beschreiben die Synthese des Dioxan- Komplexes Na[BH2(CN)2] 0.65(Dioxan) basierend auf den Arbeiten von Spielvogel et al., unter Verwendung einer anderen Aufarbeitungsvariante.
In Zhang Y. und Shreeve J.M., Angew. Chem. 201 , 123, 965-967 wird beispielsweise die Verwendung von Ag[BH2(CN)2] zur Herstellung von ionischen Flüssigkeiten mit dem Dihydridodicyanoborat-Anion beschrieben.
Es besteht jedoch weiterhin ein Bedarf nach wirtschaftlichen alternativen Synthesemethoden, um Alkalimetallmonohydridotricyanoborate oder Alkalimetalldicyanodihydridoborate herzustellen.
Die Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist daher alternative
Herstellverfahren zu entwickeln, welche von leicht zugänglichen und vergleichsweise billigeren Ausgangsstoffen ausgehen. Insbesondere besteht dieser Bedarf für die Synthese von
Alkalimetallmonohydridotricyanoboraten. Überraschenderweise wurde gefunden, dass Dichlorhydrido-Boran- oder Chlordihydrido-Boran-Komplexe hervorragende Ausgangsstoffe für die Synthese der gewünschten Monohydridotricyanoborate bzw.
Dihydridodicyanoborate darstellen, die leicht zugänglich sind.
Dichlorhydrido-Boran-Komplexe mit einem organischen koordinierenden Molekül, beispielsweise 1 ,4-Dioxan oder 1 ,2-Dimethoxyethan, sind bekannt. Sie sind kommerziell erhätlich oder über Syntheseverfahren herstellbar, die dem Fachmann bekannt sind.
Chlordihydrido-Boran-Komplexe, stabilisiert mit Dimethylsulfid, sind kommerziell erhältlich. Chlordihydrido-Boran-Komplexe mit anderen organischen koordinierenden Molekülen sind über Syntheseverfahren herstellbar, die dem Fachmann bekannt sind.
Durch die Komplexierung wird die Elektrophilie des Dichlorhydridoborans oder des Chlordihydridoborans reduziert. Überraschenderweise ist das Boran jedoch immer noch reaktiv genug, um mit einem schwachen Nukleophil zu reagieren, biespielsweise einem Cyanid-Anion.
In B. Györi et al., Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1983, 255, S. 19, wird beschrieben, dass die Umsetzung eines Dibromhydridoborans mit AgCN lediglich zu einem Isocyanoborat führt. Eine Reaktion mit LiCN und NaCN wurde nicht beobachtet.
Der Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel I

mit einem Alkalimetallcyanid und einem Trialkylsilylcyanid, wobei die Alkylgruppen des Trialkylsilylcyanids jeweils unabhängig voneinander eine lineare oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 10 C-Atomen bedeuten.
Alkalimetalle sind die Metalle Lithium, Natrium, Kalium, Cäsium oder Rubidium. Bevorzugte Alkalimetalle sind Kalium und/oder Natrium.
In Verbindungen der Formel I steht [Me]+ bevorzugt für ein Natrium-Kation oder ein Kalium-Kation, besonders bevorzugt für ein Kalium-Kation.
Demzufolge ist das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren bevorzugt zur Synthese von Natriummonohydridotricyanoborat oder
Kaliummonohydridotricyanoborat sowie für Natriumdihydridodicyanoborat oder Kaliumdihydridodicyanoborat geeignet.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren wird bevorzugt zur Synthese von
Verbindungen der Formel I eingesetzt, in denen n 1 bedeutet.
Das koordinierende organische Molekül X ist bevorzugt 1 ,4-Dioxan, 1 ,2- Dimethoxyethan, Tetrahydrofuran, 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran, Diethylether, Diglyme, Triglyme oder Dimethylsulfid. Besonders bevorzugt wird ein 1,4- Dioxan-Komplex der Formel IIa oder IIb, ein 1 ,2-Dimethoxyethan-Komplex der Formel IIa oder IIb, ein Tetrahydrofuran-Komplex der Formel IIa oder IIb, ein Dimethylsulfid-Komplex der Formel IIa oder IIb oder ein 2- Methyltetrahydrofuran-Komplex der Formel IIa oder IIb eingesetzt oder in situ erzeugt, wie nachfolgend beschrieben. Ganz besonders bevorzugt wird ein 1 ,4-Dioxan-Komplex der Formel IIa eingesetzt oder in situ erzeugt. Ganz besonders bevorzugt wird ein Dimethylsulfid-Komplex der Formel IIb eingesetzt. Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist das zuvor beschriebene Verfahren, wobei das koordinierende organische Molekül ausgewählt wird aus 1 ,4-Dioxan, 1 ,2-Dimethoxyethan, Tetrahydrofuran, 2-Methyl- tetrahydrofuran, Diethylether, Diglyme, Triglyme oder Dimethylsulfid.
Alkalimetallcyanide sind kommerziell erhältlich. Vorzugsweise wird Natriumcyanid oder Kaliumcyanid eingesetzt. Besonders bevorzugt wird Kaliumcyanid in dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzt.
Das Alkalimetallcyanid wird bevorzugt in einer äquimolaren Menge eingesetzt, bezogen auf die Menge an B in den Verbindungen der Formel IIa oder IIb.
Trialkylsilylcyanid ist kommerziell erhältlich oder kann in situ erzeugt werden. In dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren wird bevorzugt ein aufgereinigtes Trialkylsilylcyanid eingesetzt.
Die Alkylgruppen des Trialkylsilylcyanids sind jeweils unabhängig voneinander eine lineare oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 10 C-
Atomen.
Eine lineare oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 10 C-Atomen ist beispielsweise Methyl, Ethyl, /7-Propyl, /so-Propyl, π-Butyl, sec-Butyl, tert- Butyl, n-Pentyl, /7-Hexyl, n-Heptyl, n-Octyl, Ethyl-hexyl, /7-Nonyl oder n- Decyl.
Die Alkylgruppen des Trialkylsilylcyanids können gleich oder verschieden sein. Bevorzugt sind die Alkylgruppen gleich. Beispiele von geeigneten Trialkylsilylcyaniden sind daher Trimethylsilylcyanid, Triethylsilylcyanid, Triisopropylsilylcyanid, Tripropylsilylcyanid, Octyldimethylsilylcyanid oder Tributylsilylcyanid. Besonders bevorzugt wird Trimethylsilylcyanid verwendet, welches käuflich zu erwerben ist oder auch in situ hergestellt werden kann. Das Trialkylsilylcyanid wird bevorzugt in einer Menge von 1 bis 2.6 mol bezogen auf die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb eingesetzt. Zur
Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel I, in denen n für 1 steht, wird das Trialkylsilylcyanid besonders bevorzugt in einer Menge von 2 bis 2.6 mol eingesetzt, bezogen auf die Verbindung der Formel IIa. Zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel I, in denen n für 1 steht, wird das
Trialkylsilylcyanid ganz besonders bevorzugt in einer Menge von 2 bis 2.2 mol eingesetzt, bezogen auf die Verbindung der Formel IIa.
Zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel I, in denen n für 2 steht, wird das Trialkylsilylcyanid besonders bevorzugt in einer Menge von 1 mol eingesetzt, bezogen auf die Verbindung der Formel IIb.
Das Trialkylsilylcyanid kann auch in situ hergestellt werden. Es sind viele Herstellungsmethoden für die Synthese von Trialkylsilylcyanid beschrieben.
Trialkylsilylcyanid kann beispielsweise aus einem Alkalimetallcyanid und einem Trialkylsilylchlond hergestellt werden. In EP 76413 wird beschrieben, dass diese Umsetzung in Gegenwart eines Alkalimetalliodids und in
Anwesenheit von N-Methylpyrrolidon durchgeführt wurde.
In EP 40356 wird beschrieben, dass diese Umsetzung in Gegenwart eines
Schwermetallcyanids durchgeführt wurde.
In WO 2008/102661 wird beschrieben, dass diese Umsetzung in
Gegenwart von lod und Zinkiodid durchgeführt wurde.
In WO 201 1/085966 wird beschrieben, dass diese Umsetzung in
Anwesenheit von einem Alkalimetalüodid und gegebenenfalls lod erfolgen kann. Bevorzugt wird hierbei Natriumcyanid und Natriumiodid oder
Kaliumcyanid und Kaliumiodid verwendet, wobei das Alkalimetalüodid bevorzugt in einer Molmenge von 0,1 mol/l bezogen auf 1 mol/l
Alkalimetallcyanid und Trialkylsilylchlond zugegeben wird. Generell basiert dieses Verfahren zur Herstellung auf der Beschreibung von M.T. Reetz, I. Chatziiosifidis, Synthesis, 1982, p. 330; J.K. Rasmussen, S. M. Heilmann and L.R. Krepski, The Chemistry of Cyanotrimethylsilane in G.L. Larson (Ed.)„Advances in Silicon Chemistry", Vol. 1 , p. 65-187, JAI Press Inc., 991 oder WO 2008/102661.
Bei der erfindungsgemäßen Herstellung der Verbindungen der Formel I ist es bevorzugt, wenn sich der Umsetzung der Reaktionspartner ein
Aufreinigungsschritt anschließt, um das Endprodukt der Formel I, wie zuvor beschrieben, von Nebenprodukten oder Reaktionsprodukten abzutrennen. Geeignete Aufreinigungsschritte umfassen das Abtrennen von leicht flüchtigen Komponenten durch Destillation oder Kondensation, eine
Extraktion mit einem organischen Lösemittel, eine Fällung durch Zugabe eines organischen Lösemittels, einer Umsalzung oder eine Kombination dieser Methoden. Jede bekannte Trennmethode kann hierfür verwendet oder kombiniert werden.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben, wobei der Umsetzung ein
Aufreinigungsschritt folgt.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ebenfalls das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben oder bevorzugt beschrieben, wobei der Aufreinigungsschritt mindestens eine Umsalzungsreaktion umfasst.
Eine bevorzugte Umsalzungsreaktion im Zuge der Aufreinigung der Verbindungen der Formel I ist die Umsetzung mit einem
Trialkylammoniumchlorid oder Trialkylammoniumbromid, wobei die
Alkylgruppen des Chlorids oder Bromids jeweils unabhängig voneinander eine lineare oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 10 C-Atomen sind.
Bevorzugt sind die Alkylgruppen gleich.
Bevorzugt sind die Alkylgruppen linear oder verzweigt und haben 1 bis 4 C- Atome. Der Vorteil der Trialkylammoniumsalze liegt in der besseren Löslichkeit hinischtlich organischer Lösemittel. Die Umsalzung ist in manchen Fällen vorteilhaft, aber keine Notwendigkeit. Die direkte Aufreinigung der Alkalimetallsalze durch Extraktion, beispielsweise in Tetrahydrofuran, ist ebenfalls eine bevorzugte Aufreinigung.
Geeignete Trialkylammoniumchloride sind beispielsweise
Trimethylammoniumchlorid, Triethylammoniumchlorid,
Triisopropylammoniumchlorid, Tri(n-propyl)ammoniumchlorid oder Tri(n- butyl)ammoniumchlorid. Besonders geeignet sind
Trimethylammoniumchlorid und Triethylammoniumchlorid. Die genannten Chloride sind bevorzugt vor den nachfolgend genannten Bromiden einzusetzen.
Geeignete Trialkylammoniumbromide sind beispielsweise
Trimethylammoniumbromid, Triethylammoniumbromid,
Triisopropylammoniumbromid, Tri(/7-propyl)ammoniumbromid oder Tri(n- butyl)ammoniumbromid. Besonders geeignet ist
Trimethylammoniumbromid.
In einer weiteren bevorzugten Ausführungsform des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens schließt sich der Umsalzungsreaktion mit einem
Trialkylammoniumchlorid oder Trialkylammoniumbromid ein weiterer Kationenaustausch an, wobei in einem letzten Verfahrensschritt mit einem Carbonat der Formel (Me)2CO3 und/oder einem Hydrogencarbonat MeHC03 umgesetzt wird, wobei das Alkalimetallkation des Carbonats und/oder des Hydrogencarbonats dem Alkalimetallkation der Verbindung der Formel I entspricht.
Auch ohne den zuvor erwähnten Umsalzungsschritt durch Reaktion mit einem Trialkylammoniumchlorid oder Trialkylammoniumbromid kann es notwendig sein, dass sich ein Metallkationenaustausch nach erfolgter Umsetzung der Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb mit den angegebenen Reaktionspartnern, wie zuvor beschrieben, anschließt, weil das
entsprechende Alkalimetallkation [Me]+ für das Zielprodukt der Formel I noch nicht im Reaktionsgemisch enthalten ist.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist das erfindungsgemäße
Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben oder als bevorzugt beschrieben, wobei die Verbindung der Formel I in einem letzten Verfahrensschritt durch Umsetzung mit einer Verbindung (Me)2C03 und/oder MeHCO3 erfolgt, wobei das Alkalimetallkation der Verbindung (Me)2C03 und/oder MeHCO3 dem Alkalimetallkation [Me]+ der Verbindung der Formel I entspricht.
Eine bevorzugte Ausführungsform des letzten Verfahrensschrittes ist beispielsweise die Zugabe eines organischen Lösemittels entweder zur Extraktion eines Alkalimetallsalzes, das nicht das gewünschte Kation im Zielprodukt enthält oder als Lösemittel für die entsprechenden
Trialkylammoniummonohydridotricyanoborate bzw.
Trialkylammoniumdihydridodicyanoborate und Zugabe des Carbonats (Me)2CO3 und/oder Hydrogencarbonats MeHCO3. Die entstehenden Niederschläge werden abgetrennt und durch die geeignete Auswahl eines Lösemittels wird das Endprodukt der Formel I von dem überschüssigen Carbonat bzw. Hydrogencarbonat abgetrennt.
In einer weiteren Ausführungsform des Verfahrens, wie zuvor beschrieben oder als bevorzugt beschrieben, ist es vorteilhaft, wenn die Reaktion der Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb, wie zuvor beschrieben oder als bevorzugt beschrieben, in Gegenwart eines organischen Lösemittels stattfindet.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben, wobei die Reaktion der Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb, wie zuvor beschrieben oder als bevorzugt beschrieben in Gegenwart eines organischen Lösemittels stattfindet.
Geeignete Lösemittel sind 1 ,4-Dioxan, Diethylether, Tetrahydrofuran, 2- Methyltetrahydrofuran, 1 ,2-Dimethoxyethan, Diglyme, Triglyme oder eine Mischung von Lösemitteln.
Ein bevorzugtes Lösemittel ist 1 ,4-Dioxan, 1 ,2-Dimethoxyethan, 2- Methyltetrahydrofuran oder eine Mischung dieser Lösemittel. Es kann ebenfalls von Vorteil sein, dem verwendeten Lösemittel oder
Lösemittelgemisch Diglyme zuzusetzen.
Es ist für diese Ausführungsform des Verfahrens vorteilhaft, wenn das Kaliumcyanid bei 0°C in dem organischen Lösemittel vorgelegt wird und bei dieser Temperatur die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb, gegebenenfalls in einer Lösung, und das Trialkylsilylcyanid zugegeben wird. Das
Reaktionsgemisch wird anschließend erwärmt und bei einer
Reaktionstemperatur von 70 bis 120°C gerührt. Nach vollständiger
Reaktion schließt sich eine Aufreinigung an, wie zuvor beschrieben.
Es ist bevorzugt, die Startmaterialien in einer Inertgasatmosphäre zu mischen, deren Sauerstoffgehalt maximal 1000 ppm ist. Es ist besonders bevorzugt, wenn der Sauerstoffgehalt kleiner 500 ppm ist, ganz besonders bevorzugt maximal 100 ppm ist.
Der Wassergehalt der Reagenzien sowie der Inertgasatmosphäre beträgt maximal 1000 ppm. Es ist besonders bevorzugt, wenn der Wassergehalt der Reagenzien sowie der Atmosphäre kleiner 500 ppm ist, ganz
besonders bevorzugt 10 bis 100 ppm ist.
Die Bedingungen hinsichtlich des Wassergehalts und des Sauerstoffgehalts gelten nicht für die Aufarbeitung nach erfolgreicher Umsetzung der
Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb mit dem Trialkylsilylcyanid. Es ist bevorzugt, die erfindungsgemäße Reaktion in einem geschlossenen System durchzuführen.
In einer Ausführungsform der Erfindung, wie zuvor beschrieben oder als bevorzugt beschrieben, ist es vorteilhaft, wenn die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb in situ hergestellt wird.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben, wobei die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb in situ hergestellt wird.
In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform des Verfahrens wird die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb, wie zuvor beschrieben, durch Reaktion von
Bortrichlorid mit einem Akalimetalltetrahydridoborat hergestellt.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben oder als bevorzugt beschrieben, wobei die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb durch Reaktion von Bortrichlorid mit einem Alkalimetalletrahydridoborat in situ hergestellt wird.
Geeignete Alkalimetalltetrahydridoborate sind kommerziell erhältlich.
Bevorzugt wird Natriumtetrahydridoborat eingesetzt.
Es ist in dieser Ausführungsform der Verfahrensvariante daher vorteilhaft, wenn das Alkalimetalltetrahydridoborat vorgelegt wird und das
entsprechende organische Lösemittel und gegebenenfalls ein weiteres koordinierendes organisches Lösemittel zugegeben wird. Das Gemisch wird dann auf -78°C gekühlt und es wird Bortrichlorid einkondensiert. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird auf Raumtemperatur erwärmt und das
Alkalimetallcyanid und Trialkylsilylcyanid wird zugegeben. Das
Reaktionsgemisch wird anschließend erwärmt und bei einer Reaktionstemperatur von 70 bis 120°C gerührt. Nach vollständiger
Reaktion schließt sich eine Aufreinigung an, wie zuvor beschrieben.
Auch in dieser Ausführungsform ist es bevorzugt, die Startmaterialien in einer Inertgasatmosphäre zu mischen, deren Sauerstoffgehalt maximal 1000 ppm ist. Es ist besonders bevorzugt, wenn der Sauerstoffgehalt kleiner 500 ppm ist, ganz besonders bevorzugt maximal 100 ppm ist.
Der Wassergehalt der Reagenzien sowie der Inertgasatmosphäre beträgt maximal 1000 ppm. Es ist besonders bevorzugt, wenn der Wassergehalt der Reagenzien sowie der Atmosphäre kleiner 500 ppm ist, ganz
besonders bevorzugt 10 bis 100 ppm ist.
Die Bedingungen hinsichtlich des Wassergehalts und des Sauerstoffgehalts gelten nicht für die Aufarbeitung nach erfolgreicher Umsetzung der
Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb mit dem Trialkylsilylcyanid.
Das zuvor beschriebene Verfahren, in dem die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb in situ hergestellt wird, kann ebenfalls als Eintopf-Verfahren beschrieben werden.
Die Wortwahl„Eintopf-Verfahren" bedeutet, dass die intermediär
entstehende Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb, wie zuvor beschrieben oder als bevorzugt beschrieben, nicht isoliert wird. Es ist auch in der Verfahrensvariante des„Eintopf-Verfahrens" möglich, überschüssig vorhandene Reaktanden und/oder Nebenprodukte und/oder Hilfsmittel wie Lösemittel abzutrennen.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist demzufolge ein Verfahren, bevorzugt ein Eintopf-Verfahren, zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel I,

entsteht, wobei X ein koordinierendes organisches Molekül ist, welches den Dichlorhydrido-Boran- oder Chlordihydrido-Boran-Komplex stabilisiert, und nachfolgender Reaktion mit einem Alkalimetallcyanid und einem
Trialkylsilylcyanid, wobei die Alkylgruppen des Trialkylsilylcyanids jeweils unabhängig voneinander eine lineare oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 10 C-Atomen bedeuten.
Bevorzugt wird Natriumtetrahydridoborat in der Umsetzung mit Bortrichlorid eingesetzt.
Die genannten Ausführungen hinsichtlich der Aufreinigung, wie zuvor beschrieben, gelten entsprechend für dieses Eintopfverfahren.
Dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren, wie zuvor beschrieben oder bevorzugt beschrieben, kann sich nun eine klassische Metathesereaktion
anschließen, wobei eine Verbindung der Formel III
[Kt]z+ z[BHn(CN)4-n]- III, entsteht,
in der
[Kt]z+ ein anorganisches oder organisches Kation ist, z der Ladung des Kations entspricht und
n 1 oder 2 bedeutet und n die gleiche Bedeutung hat wie in der
Ausgangsverbindung der Formel I.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung ist daher ein Verfahren zur
Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel III
[Kt]2+ Z[BHn(CN)4-n]- III,
wobei [Kt]z+ ein anorganisches oder organisches Kation ist,
z der Ladung des Kations entspricht und
n 1 oder 2 bedeutet,
durch Anionenaustausch, wobei ein Salz enthaltend das Kation [Kt]z+ mit einer Verbindung der Formel I

hergestellt nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren, wie zuvor
beschrieben, umgesetzt wird, wobei [Me]+ ein Alkalimetallkation bedeutet und n die gleiche Bedeutung wie in der Verbindung der Formel III hat.
Diese klassische Metathese kann sowohl mit einer aufgereinigten
Verbindung der Formel I erfolgen, als auch mit dem Rohprodukt, das direkt aus der Umsetzung mit dem Alkalimetallcyanid und dem Trialkylsilylcyanid entsteht.
Vorzugsweise hat [Kt]2+ die Bedeutung eines organischen Kations oder eines anorganischen Kations, wobei das Kation [Kt]z+ nicht dem
eingesetzten Kation Me+ der Verbindung der Formel I entspricht und das Anion A des Salzes enthaltend [Kt]z+
Cl -, Br-, I -, [CN] - [SCN]-, [RiCOO] -, [RiOC(0)0]-, [R1SO3]- [R2COO] - , [R2SO3]- [R1OSO3] -, [PF6]-, [BF4] ~ [HS04] 1~ [NOs] -, [(R2)2P(O)0]-, [R2P(0)02]2-, [(RiO)2P(O)0]-; [(RiO)P(0)02]2-, [(RiO)RiP(0)0]", Tosylat, Malonat, das mit geradkettigen oder verzweigten Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen substituiert sein kann, [HOC02]~ oder [CO3] 2~ bedeutet, wobei R1 jeweils unabhängig voneinander eine geradkettige oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12 C-Atomen bedeutet und
R2 jeweils unabhängig voneinander eine geradkettige oder verzweigte perfluorierte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12 C-Atomen bedeutet und wobei in der Formel des Salzes [KtA] die Elektroneutralität berücksichtigt wird.
Eine perfluorierte lineare oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen ist beispielsweise Trifluormethyl, Pentafluorethyl, n-Heptafluorpropyl, iso- Heptafluorpropyl, n-Nonafluorbutyl, sec-Nonafluorbutyl oder tert- Nonafluorbutyl. R2 definiert in Analogie eine lineare oder verzweigte perfluorierte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 12 C-Atomen, umfassend die zuvor genannten Perfluoralkylgruppen und beispielsweise perfluoriertes n-Hexyl, perfluoriertes n-Heptyl, perfluoriertes n-Octyl, perfluoriertes Ethylhexyl, perfluoriertes n-Nonyl, perfluoriertes n-Decyl, perfluoriertes n-Undecyl oder perfluoriertes n-Dodecyl.
Besonders bevorzugt ist R2 Trifluormethyl, Pentafluorethyl oder
Nonafluorbutyl, ganz besonders bevorzugt Trifluormethyl oder
Pentafluorethyl.
Besonders bevorzugt ist R1 Methyl, Ethyl, n-Butyl, n-Hexyl oder n-Octyl, ganz besonders bevorzugt Methyl oder Ethyl.
Substituierte Malonate sind beispielsweise die Verbindungen - Methyloder Ethyl-Malonat.
Vorzugsweise ist das Anion A des Salzes enthaltend [Kt]z+ Cl _, Br~ I -, [CH3SO3]- [CH3OSO3]-, [CFsCOO]-, [CF3SO3]-, [(C2F5)2P(0)0]- oder [COs]2", besonders bevorzugt CI ", Br", [CH3OSO3]-, [CF3SO3] - [CH3SO3]- oder [(C2F5)2P(0)0]-.
Das organische Kation für [Kt]z+ wird beispielsweise ausgewählt aus lodoniumkationen, Ammoniumkationen, Sulfoniumkationen,
Phosphoniumkationen, Uroniumkationen, Thiouroniumkationen,
Guanidiniumkationen, Trityliumkationen oder heterozyklischen Kationen.
Bevorzugte anorganische Kationen sind Metallkationen der Metalle der Gruppe 2 bis 12. Bevorzugte anorganische Kationen sind Ag+, Mg2+, Cu+, Cu2+, Zn2+,Ca2+, Y+3j YD+3 |_a+3> Sc +3, Ce+3, Nd+3, Tb+3, Sm+3 oder komplexe (Liganden enthaltende) Metallkationen, die Seltenerd-, Übergangs- oder Edelmetalle wie Rhodium, Ruthenium, Iridium, Palladium, Platin, Osmium, Kobalt, Nickel, Eisen, Chrom, Molybdän, Wolfram, Vanadium, Titan, Zirconium, Hafnium, Thorium, Uran, Gold enthalten.
Die Umsalzungsreaktion des Salzes der Formel I mit einem Salz enthaltend [Kt]z+, wie zuvor beschrieben, wird vorteilhaft in Wasser durchgeführt, wobei Temperaturen von 0°-100°C, bevorzugt 15°-60°C geeignet sind. Besonders bevorzugt wird bei Raumtemperatur (25°C) umgesetzt.
Die zuvor genannte Umsalzungsreaktion kann jedoch alternativ auch in organischen Lösemitteln bei Temperaturen zwischen -30° und 100°C stattfinden. Geeignete Lösemittel sind hier Acetonitril, Propionitril, Dioxan, Dichlormethan, Dimethoxyethan, Dimethylsulfoxid, Tetrahydrofuran, Dimethylformamid, Aceton oder Alkohol, beispielsweise Methanol, Ethanol oder Isopropanol, Diethylether oder Mischungen der genannten Lösemittel.
Die erhaltenen Stoffe werden mittels NMR-Spektren charakterisiert. Die NMR-Spektren werden an Lösungen in deuteriertem Aceton-Ü6 oder in
CD3CN an einem Bruker Avance 200 Spektrometer mit Deuterium-Lock gemessen. Die Messfrequenzen der verschiedenen Kerne sind: 1H: 199.93 MHz, 11B: 64.14 MHz . Die Referenzierung erfolgt mit externer Referenz: TMS für 1H- und BF3 Et2O - für 1 B- NMR-Spektren.
Beispiel 1. Herstellung von K[BH(CN)3]
HBCI Dioxan + KCN + 2 (CH3)3SiCN *~
THF
► K[HB(CN)3] + 2 (CH3)3SiCI + Dioxan Kaliumcyanid (2.0 g, 30.72 mmol) wird in THF (25 mL) suspendiert und bei 0 °C mit einer Lösung des Dichlorboran-Dioxan-Komplexes in
Dichlormethan (3 mol/L, 9.5 mL, 28.5 mmol) und Trimethylsilylcyanid
(TMSCN, 10.0 mL, 74.99 mmol) in einer Inertgasatmosphäre versetzt. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird langsam auf Raumtemperatur erwärmt und anschließend für 3 Stunden bei 80 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem
geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Anschließend wird es im Vakuum auf wenige Milliliter eingeengt und in Aceton (5 mL) gelöst. Durch die Zugabe von CH2CI2 (50 mL) wird K[HB(CN)3] ausgefällt.
Die Ausbeute an K[HB(CN)3] beträgt 3.3 g (25.58 mmol), entsprechend 89% bezogen auf das eingesetzte Boran.

Beispiel 2. Eintopfsynthese von K[BH(CN)3]
1 ,4-Dioxan, Diglyme 8 TMSCN, 4 KCN
3 BCI3 + Na[BH4] RT, 12 h 100 °C, 24 h

-8 (CH3)3SiCI
Na[BH ] (307 mg, 8.12 mmol) wird vorgelegt und in Diglyme (1 mL) suspendiert. 1 ,4-Dioxan (20 mL) wird zugegeben und das
Reaktionsgemisch auf -78 °C in einer Inertgasatmosphäre abgekühlt.
Anschließend wird BC (2.86 g, 24.4 mmol) einkondensiert. Das
Reaktionsgemisch wird auf RT erwärmt und 12 h gerührt. KCN (2.12 g, 32.6 mmol) sowie Trimethylsilylcyanid (TMSCN, 8.2 mL, 65.1 mmol) werden in einer Inertgasatmosphäre zugegeben und 24 h bei 100 °C
(Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Anschließend werden alle flüchtigen Bestandteile im Feinvakuum entfernt und der erhaltene Rückstand in Aceton (20 mL) aufgenommen. Nachfolgend werden unlösliche Bestandteile abfiltriert und das Filtrat mittels eines
Rotationsverdampfers auf ein Restvolumen von 5 ml_ eingeengt. Zur weiteren Aufarbeitung erfolgt die Zugabe von Trimethylammoniumchlorid (3.11 g, 32.5 mmol; gelöst in 30 ml_ entionisiertem Wasser). Das Gemisch wird anschließend bei RT 30 min gerührt. Das Ammoniumsalz wird mit 3 x 60 mL CH2CI2 extrahiert und die vereinten organischen Phasen werden über K2CO3 (40 g) getrocknet. Nachfolgend wird abfiltriert, der
Filterrückstand in Aceton aufgenommen und anschließend im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 x 103 mbar getrocknet. Die wässrige Phase wird mittels eines Rotationsverdampfers eingeengt, der Rückstand in
CH2CI2 suspendiert und anschließend mit K2CO3 versetzt. Es wird
abfiltriert, der Filterrückstand in Aceton aufgenommen, von unlöslichen Bestandteilen befreit und im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 x IO-3 mbar getrocknet. Die Gesamtausbeute an K[BH(CN)3] ist 3.1 g (24.0 mmol), entsprechend 74% bezogen auf das eingesetzte Tetrahydridoborat. Das Produkt enthält ca. 3 mol% von K[BH2(CN)2].
Das Produkt wird durch NMR-Spektren in Aceton-De Lösung charakterisiert. Die Spektren von K[BH(CN)3] sind identisch zu Beispiel 1 und entsprechen denjenigen aus der Literatur [WO2012/163489A1].
Beispiel 3. Eintopfsynthese von K[BH(CN)3] A)
DME, Diglyme 8 TMSCN, 4 KCN
3 BCI3♦ Na[BH4] °;N C A 4 BHCI2. DME . 4 K[BH(CN)3]
BCb (2.94 g, 25.1 mmol) wird bei -78 °C in 1,2-Dimethoxyethan (DME, 20 mL) in einer Inertgasatmosphäre einkondensiert. Die erhaltene Lösung wird auf 0 °C erwärmt und anschließend mit Na[BH4] (318 mg, 8.4 mmol) sowie katalytischen Mengen Diglyme (ca. 0.6 mL) versetzt. Das
Reaktionsgemisch wird für 1 h bei 0 °C in einer Inertgasatmosphäre gerührt und nachfolgend KCN (2.18 g, 33.5 mmol) sowie Trimethylsilylcyanid
(TMSCN, 8.90 mL, 67.0 mmol) zugegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird dann für 12 h bei 90 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt, wobei sich das Gemisch dunkelbraun färbt. Anschließend werden alle flüchtigen Bestanteile im Feinvakuum entfernt und der erhaltene
Rückstand in Aceton (20 ml_) aufgenommen. Nachfolgend werden
unlösliche Bestandteile abfiltriert und das Filtrat mittels
Rotationsverdampfer auf ein Restvolumen von ca. 5 mL eingeengt. Es erfolgt die Zugabe von Tnethylammoniumchlorid (4.61 g, 33.5 mmol; gelöst in 30 mL entionisiertem Wasser) und es wird anschließend bei RT für 30 min gerührt. Das Ammoniumsalz, Et3NH[BH(CN)3], wird mit 3 x 30 mL CH2CI2 extrahiert und die vereinten organischen Phasen mit K2CO3 (50 g) versetzt und 3 Stunden gerührt. Die Suspension wird dann filtriert und der Feststoff (überschüssiges K2CO3 und K[BH(CN)3]) mit Aceton (5 x 50 mL) extrahiert. Der Extrakt wird auf 20 mL eingeengt und durch Zugabe von
CH2CI2 (150 mL) wird K[BH(CN)3] ausgefällt. Dieses wird abfiltriert und im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 x 10~3 mbar getrocknet.
Die Ausbeute an K[BH(CN)3] beträgt 3.93 g (30.5 mmol), entsprechend 91% bezüglich des eingesetzten Na[BH4]. Reinheit: 96% K[BH(CN)3], 2% K[BH2(CN)2] und 2% Bor-haltige Verunreinigung.
Die NMR-Spektren von K[BH(CN)3] sind identisch zu den in Beispiel 1 angegebenen Daten.
B)
DME, Diglyme 8 TMSCN, 4 KCN
3 BCI3 + Na[BH4] ° °^h » 4 BHCI2- DME ^ " > 4 K[BH(CN)3]
- Na i -8 (Crl3)3SiCl
Na[BH4] (743 mg, 19.6 mmol) wird in einer Inertgasatmosphäre vorgelegt und in Diglyme (2.5 mL) suspendiert. Anschließend werden 35 mL DME zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch wird auf -78 °C abgekühlt. BCb (58.9 mmol, 6.9 g) wird nachfolgend in einer Inertgasatmosphäre
einkondensiert und dann auf 0 °C erwärmt. Es wird 5 h bei 0 °C gerührt. KCN (79 mmol, 5.11 g) und Trimethylsilylcyanid (TMSCN, 157 mmol, 19.7 mL) werden bei 0 °C zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch anschließend 12 h bei 90 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Nachfolgend werden alle flüchtigen Bestandteile im Vakuum entfernt und der Rückstand in Aceton (60 ml_) aufgenommen. Alle unlöslichen
Bestandteile werden abfiltriert und das Lösemittel im Vakuum entfernt. Der Rückstand wird in H2O (50 ml_) gelöst und es wird
Triethylammoniumchlorid (79 mmol, 10.8 g) zugegeben. Es wird 2 h bei Raumtemperatur gerührt und anschließend mit CH2CI2 (6 χ 60 ml_) extrahiert. Die vereinten organischen Phasen werden mit K2CO3 (45 g) versetzt und 3 h gerührt. Die Suspension wird anschließend filtriert und der Feststoff (Überschüssiges K2CO3 und K[BH(CN)3]) mit Aceton (5 * 50 ml_) extrahiert. Der Extrakt wirdauf 20 ml_ eingeengt und durch Zugabe von
CH2CI2 (150 ml_) wird K[BH(CN)3] ausgefällt. Dieses wird abfiltriert und im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 χ 10"3 mbar getrocknet.
Die Ausbeute beträgt 5.37 g (41.6 mmol), entsprechend 53% bezüglich des eingesetzten Na[BH4] mit einer Reinheit > 99%.
Die NMR Spektren von K[BH(CN)3] sind identisch zu den in Beispiel 1 angegebenen Daten.
Beispiel 4. Herstellung von K[BH2(CN)2]
DME, Diglyme 2 TMSCN, 2 KCN
BCI3 + Na[BH4] ° °;c; h » 2 BH2CI · DME » 2 K[BH2(CN)2]
Na[BH4] (404 mg, 0.7 mmol) wird in einer Inertgasatmosphäre in Diglyme (1.1 ml_) und 1 ,2-Dimethoxyethan (DME, 20 ml_) suspendiert. Das
Reaktionsgemisch wird auf -78 °C abgekühlt und anschließend wird BCb (1.25 g, 10.7 mmol) in einer Inertgasatmosphäre einkondensiert. Es wird 1 h bei 0 °C gerührt und nachfolgend werden KCN (1.40 g, 21.5 mmol) sowie Trimethylsilylcyanid (TMSCN, 6.0 ml_, 48.0 mmol) zugegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird dann 5 h bei 100 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Anschließend werden alle flüchtigen
Bestandteile im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 x 10~3 mbar entfernt und der erhaltene Rückstand wird in 20 mL Aceton aufgenommen. Nachfolgend werden alle unlöslichen Bestandteile abfiltriert und das Filtrat mittels eines Rotationsverdampfers auf ein Restvolumen von 5 mL
eingeengt. Es erfolgt die Zugabe von Triethylammoniumchlorid (3.0 g, 21 .8 mmol), gelöst in 30 mL entionisiertem Wasser, und es wird
anschließend bei RT 30 min gerührt. Das Ammoniumsalz wird mit 4 x
60 mL CH2CI2 extrahiert und die vereinten organischen Phasen werden mit K2CO3 (50 g) versetzt und anschließend 3 Stunden gerührt. Die
Suspension wird dann filtriert und der Feststoff (überschüssiges K2CO3 und K[BH2(CN)2]) mit Aceton (5 x 50 mL) extrahiert. Der Extrakt wird auf 20 mL eingeengt und durch Zugabe von CH2CI2 (150 mL) wird K[BH2(CN)2] als farbloser Feststoff-ausgefällt. Dieses wird abfiltriert und im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 x 10"3 mbar getrocknet.
Die Ausbeute an K[BH2(CN)2] ist 1 .74 g (16.7 mmol), entsprechend 78% bezüglich des eingesetzten Na[BH4]. Das Produkt enthält ca. 5 mol%
K[BH(CN)3]).
Das Produkt wird in Aceton-De Lösung charakterisiert:

Die Abtrennung des Monohydridotricyanoborats kann über Kristallisation oder über eine Umsalzungsreaktion erfolgen.
Beispiel 5. Herstellung von K[BH(CN)3]
DME, Triglyme 8 TMSCN, 4 KCN
3 BCI3 + Na[BH4] °;Ν^ . 4 BHCb- DME™ > 4 K[BH(CN)3]
Na[BH4] (241 mg, 6.38 mmol) wird in Triglyme (1.1 mL) und 1 ,2- Dimethoxyethan (DME, 20 mL) in einer Inertgasatmosphäre suspendiert. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird auf -78 °C abgekühlt und anschließend wird BC (2.24 g, 19.1 mmol) in einer Inertgasatmosphäre einkondensiert. Es wird 1 h bei 0 °C gerührt und nachfolgend werden KCN (1.70 g, 26.1 mmol) sowie Trimethylsilylcyanid (TMSCN, 7.0 mL, 56.0 mmol) zugegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird 24 h bei 100 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt, wobei sich das Reaktionsgemisch
dunkelbraun färbt. Anschließend werden alle flüchtigen Bestandteile im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 x 103 mbar entfernt und der erhaltene Rückstand wird in 20 mL Aceton aufgenommen. Nachfolgend werden alle unlöslichen Bestandteile abfiltriert und das Filtrat mittels eines Rotationsverdampfers auf ein Restvolumen von 5 mL eingeengt. Es erfolgt die Zugabe von Triethylammoniumchlorid (3.51 g, 25.5 mmol), gelöst in 30 mL entionisiertem Wasser. Nach 30 min. Rühren bei RT wird das Ammoniumsalz mit 3 x 60 mL CH2CI2 extrahiert und die vereinten
organischen Phasen mit K2CO3 (30 g) versetzt und anschließend 4
Stunden gerührt. Die Suspension wird anschließend filtriert und der
Feststoff (überschüssiges K2CO3 und K[BH(CN)3]) mit Aceton (5 χ 50 mL) extrahiert. Der Extrakt wird auf 20 mL eingeengt und durch Zugabe von CH2CI2 (150 mL) wird K[BH(CN)3] ausgefällt. Es wird abfiltriert und das Produkt im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 χ 10-3 mbar getrocknet.
Die Ausbeute an K[BH(CN)3] ist 1.56 g (12.1 mmol), entsprechend 48% bezüglich des eingesetzten Na[BH4]). Das Produkt enthält ca. 3 mol% K[BH2(CN)2] und ca. 3 mol% Bor-haltige Verunreinigung.
Die Abtrennung des Dihydridodicyanoborats kann über Kristallisation oder über eine Umsalzungsreaktion erfolgen. Beispiel 6. Herstellung von [PPh4][BH(CN)3]

^ 4 K[BH(CN)3] RT' 30 min » 4 [PPh4][BH(CN)3] Na[BH4] (257 mg, 6.80 mmol) wird in Digylme (1.0 mL) und 1,2- Dimethoxyethan (DME, 20 mL) in einer Inertgasatmosphäre suspendiert. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird auf -78 °C abgekühlt und anschließend wird BC (2.39 g, 20.4 mmol) einkondensiert. Es wird 12 h bei RT gerührt und nachfolgend werden KCN (1.80 g, 27.6 mmol) sowieTrimethylsilylcyanid, (TMSCN, 7.0 mL, 56.0 mmol) zugegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird 12 h bei 100 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt, wobei sich das Reaktionsgemisch dunkelbraun färbt. Anschließend werden alle flüchtigen Bestandteile im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 x 10"3 mbar entfernt und der erhaltene Rückstand wurde in 20 mL Aceton aufgenommen. Nachfolgend werden alle unlöslichen Bestandteile abfiltriert und das Filtrat mittels eines Rotationsverdampfers auf ein Restvolumen von 5 mL eingeengt. Es erfolgt die Zugabe von Tetraphenylphosphoniumbromid (11.4 g, 27.2 mmol), gelöst in 30 mL entionisiertem Wasser, und es wird anschließend 30 min bei RT gerührt. Das Phosphoniumsalz wird mit 3 x 80 mL CH2CI2 extrahiert und die vereinten organischen Phasen über K2CO3 (20 g) getrocknet. Das Trockenmittel wird abfiltriert und das Filtrat wird auf 20 mL eingeengt. Der Rückstand wird in Aceton aufgenommen, von unlöslichen Bestandteilen abfiltriert und anschließend im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 x 10'3 mbar getrocknet. Die Ausbeute an
[PPh4][BH(CN)3] ist 9.96 g (23.2 mmol), entsprechend 85% bezogen auf das eingesetzte Natriumtetrahydridoborat. Das Produkt enthält ca. 13 mol% [PPh4][BH2(CN)2].

Die Abtrennung von [PPh4][BH(CN)3] und [PPh4][BH2(CN)2] kann
beispielsweise durch Kristallisation erfolgen. Beispielsweise kann das Gemisch mit 36%-iger HCl (20 mL pro 1 g der Mischung) bei 75 °C für drei Stunden gerührt werden. Nach Kühlung auf Raumtemperatur kristallisiert die Verbindung [PPh4][BH(CN)3] aus und kann abfiltriert werden.
Beispiel 7. Herstellung von K[BH(CN)3]

Na[BH4] ( 412 mg, 10.9 mmol) wird in einer Inertgasatmosphäre vorgelegt und in Diglyme (1.5 mL) suspendiert. Anschließend werden 15 mL Et2Ü zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch wird auf -78 °C abgekühlt. BC
(3.83 g, 32.7 mmol) wird nachfolgend in einer Inertgasatmosphäre
einkondensiert und dann das Reaktionsgemisch auf 0 °C erwärmt und 4 Stunden gerührt. KCN ( 2.84 g, 43.6 mmol) und Trimethylsilylcyanid
(TMSCN, 11.0 mL, 87.9 mmol) werden in einer Inertgasatmosphäre bei 0 °C zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch anschließend 17 h bei 85 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Nachfolgend werden alle flüchtigen Bestandteile im Vakuum entfernt und der Rückstand in Aceton (20 mL) aufgenommen. Alle unlöslichen Bestandteile werden abfiltriert und das Lösemittel im Vakuum entfernt. Der Rückstand wird in H2O (50 mL) aufgenommen und mit CH2CI2 (3 * 25 mL) gewaschen. Die wässrige Phase wird mit Triethylammoniumchlorid ( 6.0 g, 43.6 mmol) versetzt und 1 h gerührt. Das Ammoniumsalz wird mit CH2CI2 (8 x 30 mL) extrahiert. Die vereinten organischen Phasen werden mit K2CO3 (40 g) versetzt und anschließend 3 h bei Raumtemperatur gerührt. Die
Suspension wird anschließend filtriert und der Feststoff (überschüssiges K2CO3 und K[BH(CN)3]) mit Aceton (5 * 20 mL) extrahiert. Die vereinten Aceton-Phasen werden mittels eines Rotationsverdampfers auf ein
Restvolumen von etwa 20 mL eingeengt. Durch die Zugabe von CH2CI2 (200 mL) wird K[BH(CN)3] ausgefällt. Dieses wird abfiltriert und im
Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 * 0~3 mbar getrocknet. Die Ausbeute beträgt 2.0 g ( 15.5 mmol), entsprechend 36% bezüglich des eingesetzten Na[BH4].
Die NMR Spektren von K[BH(CN)3] sind identisch zu den in Beispiel 1 angegebenen Daten.
Beispiel 8. Herstellung von 1-Butyl-3-Methyl-lmidazolium
Hydridotricyanoborat, [B IM][BH(CN)3]
THF, Diglyme 8 TMSCN, 4 KCN

Na[BH4] (920 mg, 24.3 mmol) wird in einer Inertgasatmosphäre vorgelegt und in Diglyme (2.5 mL) suspendiert. Anschließend werden 30 mL THF zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch auf -78 °C abgekühlt. BCb (8.55 g, 73 mmol,) wird nachfolgend in einer Inertgasatmosphäre einkondensiert und dann auf 0 °C erwärmt. Es wird 5 h bei 0 °C gerührt. KCN (6.34 g, 97 mmol) und Trimethylsilylcyanid (TMSCN, 24.4 mL, 195 mmol) werden bei 0 °C in einer Inertgasatmosphäre zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch anschließend 12 h bei 90 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Nachfolgend werden alle flüchtigen Bestandteile im Vakuum entfernt und der Rückstand in Aceton aufgenommen. Alle unlöslichen Bestandteile werden abfiltriert und das Lösemittel im Vakuum entfernt. Der Rückstand wird in H2O (50 mL) gelöst und es wird 1-Butyl-3- methylimidazoliumchlorid (17 g, 97 mmol) zugegeben. Das
Reaktionsgemisch wird 30 min bei Raumtemperatur gerührt und
nachfolgend mit CH2CI2 (4 χ 60 mL) extrahiert. Die vereinten organischen Phasen werden mit K2CO3 (60 g) getrocknet, anschließend abfiltriert und im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 * 10~3 mbar getrocknet.
Die Ausbeute beträgt 3.91 g ( 7.1 mmol), entsprechend 8% bezogen auf das eingesetzte Natriumtetrahydridoborat mit einer Reinheit > 99%.
Das Produkt wird durch NMR-Spektren in CD2CI2 Lösung charakterisiert: 1B{1H}-NMR, δ, ppm: -40.0 s.

Beispiel 9. Herstellung von K[BH2(CN)2]
TMSCN / KCN
BH2CI - S(CH3)2 , (°Η ) ' 33 " KCBH2(CN)2]
KCN (3.12 g, 47.9 mmol) wird in einer Inertgasatmosphäre in
Trimethylsilylcyanid (TMSCN, 48 mmol, 6.0 mL) vorgelegt. Anschließend wird auf 0 °C abgekühlt und es wird langsam BH2CI SMe2 (5.3 g, 48.0 mmol; Sigma Aldrich, Art. Nr. 298441 , Reinheit 76%, Verunreinigungen: 14% BHCI2, 10% BH3) in einer Inertgasatmosphäre zugegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird anschließend 12 h bei 90 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Nachfolgend werden alle flüchtigen Bestandteile im Vakuum entfernt und der Rückstand in Aceton
aufgenommen. Alle unlöslichen Bestandteile werden abfiltriert und das Lösemittel im Vakuum entfernt. Der Rückstand wird in H2O (50 mL) gelöst und mit CH2CI2 (3x 70 mL) gewaschen. Die wässrige Phase wird mit Triethylammoniumchlorid (48 mmol, 6.60 g) versetzt und 1 h bei
Raumtemperatur gerührt. Nachfolgend wird mit CH2CI2 (5 x 50 mL) extrahiert, die vereinten organischen Phasen werden mit K2CO3 versetzt und anschließend 3.5 h bei Raumtemperatur gerührt. Die Suspension wird anschließend filtriert und der Feststoff (überschüssiges K2CO3 und
K[BH2(CN)2] mit Aceton (5 χ 50 mL) extrahiert. Der Extrakt wird auf 20 mL eingeengt und durch Zugabe von CH2CI2 (170 mL) wird farbloses
K[BH2(CN)2] ausgefällt. Dieses wird abfiltriert und im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 χ 10-3 mbar getrocknet. Die Ausbeute beträgt 3.48 g (33.5 mmol), entsprechend 70% bezüglich des eingesetzten BhbCI-SMea) mit einer Reinheit von 88%, enthaltend 12%

Die Abtrennung des Monohydridotricyanoborats kann über Kristallisation oder über eine Umsalzungsreaktion erfolgen.
Beispiel 10. Herstellung von K[BH(CN)3]
2-CH3-THF / Diglyme 8 T SCN, 4 KCN
3 BCI3 + Na[BH4] o^ 3 h ^4 BHCI2 - 2-CH3-THF 83 °C' 2 h— >- 4 K[BH(CN)31
- NaCI -8 (CH3)3SiCI
Na[BH4] (290 mg, 7.65 mmol) wird in Diglyme (1.5 mL) in einer
Inertgasatmosphäre suspendiert. Anschließend werden 15 mL 2-Methyl- THF zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch auf -78 °C abgekühlt. BC
(2.69 g, 23.0 mmol) wird in einer Inertgasatmosphäre einkondensiert und das Reaktionsgemisch auf 0 °C erwärmt. Es wird 3 h bei 0 °C gerührt. KCN (30.6 mmol, 1.99 g) und Trimethylsilylcyanid (TMSCN, 7.66 mL, 61.2 mmol) werden bei 0 °C in einer Inertgasatmosphäre zugegeben und das
Reaktionsgemisch anschließend 12 h bei 83 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Dann werden alle flüchtigen
Bestandteile im Vakuum entfernt und der Rückstand in Aceton (80 mL) aufgenommen. Alle unlöslichen Bestandteile werden abfiltriert und das Reaktionsgemisch auf ein Restvolumen von 20 mL eingeengt. Durch
Zugabe von CH2CI2 (180 mL) wird ein dunkelbrauner Feststoff ausgefällt, welcher in H2O (50 mL) aufgenommen wird. Es wird K2CO3 (30 g)
zugegeben und nachfolgend mit THF (4 70 mL) extrahiert. Die vereinten organischen Phasen werden mit K2CO3 (80 g) getrocknet und anschließend abfiltriert. Das Filtrat wird auf ein Restvolumen von 20 mL eingeengt und durch Zugabe von CH2CI2 (150 mL) wird K[BH(CN)3] ausgefällt. Dieses wird im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 * 10-3 mbar getrocknet.
Die Ausbeute beträgt 1.4 g (10.9 mmol), entsprechend 36% bezüglichd es eingesetzten Na[BH4] mit einer Reinheit von 95%, enthaltend 2%
K[BH2(CN)2]). Die Abtrennung des Dihydridodicyanoborats kann über Kristallisation oder über eine Umsalzungsreaktion erfolgen.
Beispiel 11. Herstellung von K[BH(CN)3]
2-CH3-THF / Diglyme 8 TMSCN, 4 KCN

NafBhU] (1.2 g, 31.7 mmol) wird in Diglyme (3.5 mL) in einer
Inertgasatmosphäre suspendiert. Anschließend werden 35 mL 2-Methyl- THF zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch auf -78 °C abgekühlt. BCb (11.2 g, 95 mmol,) wird nachfolgend in einer Inertgasatmosphäre
einkondensiert und das Reaktionsgemisch auf 0 °C erwärmt. Es wird 10 h bei 0 °C gerührt. KCN (8.26 g, 127 mmol) und Trimethylsilylcyanid
(TMSCN, 31.7 mL, 254 mmol) werden in einer Inertgasatmosphäre bei 0 °C zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch anschließend 12 h bei 85 °C (Ölbad Temperatur) in einem geschlossenen Gefäß gerührt. Dann werden alle flüchtigen Bestandteile im Vakuum entfernt und der Rückstand in Aceton (200 mL) aufgenommen. Nachfolgend werden alle unlöslichen Bestandteile abgetrennt. Anschließend wird das Reaktionsgemisch im Vakuum
getrocknet, der Rückstand dann in Wasser aufgenommen sowie mit CH2CI2 gewaschen (4 x 40 mL). Die wässrige Phase wird mit
Triethylammoniumchlorid (17.47g, 127 mmol) versetzt und 12 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt. Das Gemisch wird mit CH2CI2 (8 x 30 mL) extrahiert. Die vereinten organischen Phasen werden mit K2CO3 (50 g) versetzt und anschließend 3 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt. Die enstehende Suspension wird filtriert und der Feststoff (überschüssiges K2CO3 und K[BH(CN)3]) mit Aceton (5 χ 50 mL) extrahiert. Der Extrakt wird auf 20 mL eingeengt und durch Zugabe von CH2CI2 (170 mL) wird
K[BH(CN)3] ausgefällt. Dieses wird abfiltriert und im Feinvakuum bis zu einem Restdruck von 1 χ 10~3 mbar getrocknet.
Die Ausbeute beträgt 4.7 g (36.4 mmol), entsprechend 29% bezüglich des eingesetzten Na[BH4]) mit einer Reinheit > 99%. Beispiel 12. Reaktion ohne Trimethylsilylcyanid
60 °C, 24 h
BHCI2 THF + KCN (18-Krone-6) B(OH)3 + unbekannte Bor-Spezies
KCN (22.5 mmol, 15 g) und 18-Krone-6 (ca. 200 mg) werden in einer
Inertgasatmosphäre vorgelegt und im Vakuum getrocknet. Es wird auf 0 °C abgekühlt und BHCI2 THF zugegeben. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird 24 h bei 60 °C gerührt. NMR-Spektroskopisch kann nur die Bildung von Borsäure sowie unbekannte Bor-haltiges Spezies nachgewiesen werden.

Patentansprüche
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel I

wobei
[Me]+ ein Alkalimetallkation bedeutet und
n 1 oder 2 bedeutet,
durch Umsetzung einer Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb
BHC X IIa,
BH2CI X IIb, wobei X ein koordinierendes organisches Molekül ist, welches den Dichlorhydrido-Boran- oder Chlordihydrido-Boran-Komplex stabilisiert, mit einem Alkalimetallcyanid und einem Trialkylsilylcyanid, wobei die Alkylgruppen des Trialkylsilylcyanids jeweils unabhängig voneinander eine lineare oder verzweigte Alkylgruppe mit 1 bis 10 C-Atomen bedeuten.
Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 , dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das koordinierende organische Molekül ausgewählt wird aus 1 ,4-Dioxan, 1,2-Dimethoxyethan, Tetrahydrofuran, 2-Methyltetrahydrofuran, Diethylether, Diglyme, Triglyme oder Dimethylsulfid.
Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Umsetzung ein Aufreinigungsschritt folgt.
Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Aufreinigungsschritt mindestens eine Umsalzungsreaktion umfasst.
Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Verbindung der Formel I in einem letzten Verfahrensschritt durch Umsetzung mit der Verbindung (Me)2C03 und/oder MeHC03 erfolgt, wobei das Alkalimetallkation dieser
Verbindungen dem Alkalimetallkation [Me]+ der Verbindung der Formel I entspricht.
Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Reaktion der Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb in Gegenwart eines organischen Lösemittels stattfindet.
Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb in situ hergestellt wird.
8. Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Verbindung der Formel IIa oder IIb durch Reaktion von Bortrichlorid mit einem Alkalimetalltetrahydridoborat hergestellt wird.
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel III
[Kt]z+ z[BHn(CN)4-n]- III,
wobei
[Kt]z+ ein anorganisches oder organisches Kation ist,
z der Ladung des Kations entspricht und
n 1 oder 2 bedeutet,
durch Anionenaustausch, wobei ein Salz enthaltend das Kation [Kt]z+ mit einer Verbindung der Formel I
[Me]+ [BHn(CN)4-n]- I,
hergestellt nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, umgesetzt wird, wobei [Me]+ ein Alkalimetallkation bedeutet und n die gleiche Bedeutung wie in der Verbindung der Formel III hat.
