Definitions
- the technology disclosed herein relates to an electronic component mounter that mounts electronic components on a circuit board.
- Japanese Unexamined Patent Application Publication No. 2005-116599 discloses an electronic component mounting machine (hereinafter also referred to as a mounting machine).
- This mounting machine has a tape feeder that feeds the tape material to the mounting head, a counting device that counts the number of electronic components remaining on the tape material, and a splice that connects the beginning of the new tape material to the end of the tape material.
- the detection apparatus which detects a part is provided.
- the counting device is configured to reset the count value when the detecting device detects the splice unit.
- the detection device when the detection device detects the splice part, the count value error generated so far can be removed by resetting the count value.
- the reliability of the detection device is limited, and it may happen that the detection device detects a portion that is not a splice portion as a splice portion. In such a case, if the counting device resets the count value, an unacceptable error occurs in the subsequent count value of the counting device.
- This specification provides a technique that can solve or at least reduce the above problems.
- the detection device detects the splice part, if the count value by the counter is sufficiently small, it can be determined that the actual splice part has been correctly detected. On the other hand, when the count value is still a large value, it can be estimated that the detection device has malfunctioned, for example, a portion that is not a splice portion is detected as a splice portion. As described above, when the detection device detects the splice part, it is possible to determine whether or not the detection device has correctly detected the actual splicing part by referring to the count value obtained by the counting device.
- an electronic component mounting machine In this electronic component mounting machine, a mounting head for mounting electronic components on a circuit board, a tape feeder for sending a first tape material for storing a plurality of electronic components to the mounting head, and a first tape material are stored.
- a counting device that counts the number of electronic components remaining on the first tape material by subtracting the number of consumption according to the amount of operation of the electronic component mounting machine from the initial value of the number of electronic components, and the first tape material
- a detection device for detecting a splice portion where the end of the second tape material is connected to the end, and whether the count value by the counting device is within a predetermined normal range when the detection device detects the splice portion.
- a determination device for determining.
- the detection device when the detection device detects the splice part, it is possible to determine whether the detection device is suitable for detection by referring to the count value obtained by the counting device. Thereby, it is possible to avoid that the count value by the counting device is inappropriately reset or corrected due to, for example, malfunction of the detection device.
- the determination device changes the normal range described above according to an initial value of the number of electronic components accommodated by the first tape material. According to such a configuration, it is possible to correctly determine the suitability of detection by the detection device according to various first tape materials having different initial values of the number of electronic components.
- the determination device determines at least one of the upper limit and the lower limit that define the normal range by multiplying the initial value of the number of electronic components accommodated by the first tape material by a predetermined coefficient. Also good. Alternatively, the determination device may determine at least one of an upper limit and a lower limit that define the normal range by subtracting a predetermined number from the initial value. In any method, the determination device can change the normal range used for determination of the count value by the counter according to the initial value of the number of electronic components accommodated in the first tape material.
- the electronic component mounting machine further includes a notification device that performs a predetermined notification operation when the count value by the counting device is outside the normal range. According to such a configuration, when the detection device malfunctions, the electronic component mounting machine can notify the operator and other devices, for example.
- the notification device emits at least one of sound, light, vibration, electric signal, and radio wave to the outside as the notification operation.
- the notification device emits a predetermined warning sound, turns on a predetermined warning light, performs a predetermined display on an optical display such as a liquid crystal panel, and sends a predetermined warning signal to an external device wired or wirelessly. It may be a thing to send.
- the electronic component mounting machine further includes a correction device that corrects the count value obtained by the counting device to a predetermined normal value when the count value obtained by the counting device is within a normal range.
- a correction device that corrects the count value obtained by the counting device to a predetermined normal value when the count value obtained by the counting device is within a normal range.
- the normal value may be the number of electronic components that are expected to remain on the first tape material when the detection device detects the splice portion.
- the planned number of electronic components is determined in advance based on the distance between the detection position where the detection device detects the splice part and the pick-up position where the mounting head picks up the electronic component from the first tape material. can do.
- the normal value is changed according to the number of electronic components accommodated per unit length by the first tape material. According to such a configuration, the correction device can correctly correct the count value in accordance with the various first tapes.
- the mounting machine 10 is a device that mounts a plurality of electronic components 4 on a circuit board 2.
- the mounting machine 10 includes a conveyor 12, a support device 14, a mounting head 16, a moving device 18, a plurality of tape feeders 20, a detection device 22, a control device 30, and a touch panel 32.
- the conveyor 12 is a device that carries the circuit board 2 into the mounting machine 10 and carries out the circuit board 2 on which a plurality of electronic components 4 are mounted from the mounting machine 10.
- the support device 14 is a device that supports the circuit board 2 carried in by the conveyor 12 at a predetermined height position.
- the mounting head 16 is a device that picks up the electronic component 4 from the tape feeder 20 and mounts the electronic component 4 on the circuit board 2.
- the moving device 18 is a device that moves the mounting head 16 with respect to the tape feeder 20 and the support device 14.
- the tape feeder 20 is a device that supplies the electronic component 4 to the mounting head 16.
- the tape feeder 20 is configured to be detachable from the mounting machine 10.
- the tape feeder 20 sends the tape material 8 wound around the reel 6 to the mounting head 16.
- the tape material 8 accommodates a plurality of electronic components 4 at equal intervals along the longitudinal direction thereof.
- the tape feeder 20 intermittently feeds the tape material 8 by the feeding mechanism 21. Thereby, each electronic component 4 is sequentially arranged at the pick-up position A.
- the electronic component 4 arranged at the pick-up position A is picked up by the mounting head 16 and mounted on the circuit board 2.
- the splicing operation means that a new tape material 8c (hereinafter referred to as the second tape material) is added to the terminal 8b of the tape material 8a (hereinafter referred to as the first tape material 8a) in use. This is an operation of connecting the start end 8d.
- the two tape materials 8a and 8c are connected by the adhesive tape 9, for example.
- a portion where the two tape members 8a and 8c are connected to each other is referred to as a splice portion.
- the detection device 22 is a sensor that detects the above-described splice part.
- the specific configuration of the detection device 22 is not particularly limited.
- the detection device 22 may be an optical sensor that detects the adhesive tape 9 in the splice portion.
- the detection position B where the detection device 22 detects the splice part is located upstream of the pick-up position A of the electronic component 4 in the feeding direction C of the tape material 8. Therefore, when the splice part reaches the detection position B by the detection device 22, the first tape material 8a has a unit length at the distance from the pick-up position A to the detection position B at the first tape material 8a.
- the number of electronic components 4 multiplied by the number of electronic components accommodated per unit is expected to remain. Hereinafter, this number is referred to as a planned remaining number.
- the control device 30 is a device that controls the operation of each part of the mounting machine 10.
- the control device 30 can be configured by one or a plurality of computers. As shown in FIG. 3, the control device 30 is communicably connected to the conveyor 12, the support device 14, the mounting head 16, the moving device 18, the tape feeder 20, and the touch panel 32, and outputs various control signals to them. can do.
- the control device 30 is electrically connected to the detection device 22 and can receive a detection result (output signal) of the detection device 22.
- the touch panel 32 is a kind of user interface, can receive various instructions from the worker, and can display various information to the worker. For example, when various errors occur in the mounting machine 10, the touch panel 32 can display the errors to the operator.
- FIG. 4 is a block diagram showing a part of the functional configuration of the control device 30.
- the control device 30 functionally includes a counting device 42, a determination device 44, and a correction device 46.
- These devices 42, 44, 46 can be configured by hardware and software configuring the control device 30, and are not necessarily limited to devices independent of each other. That is, two or more of these devices 42, 44, 46 may be configured by common hardware.
- the counting device 42 counts the number of electronic components remaining on the first tape material 8a.
- the counting device 42 subtracts the consumption amount of the electronic component 4 according to the operation amount of the mounting machine 10 from the initial value of the number of electronic components accommodated in the first tape material 8a, thereby obtaining the first tape material 8a.
- the initial value of the number of electronic components accommodated in the first tape material 8a may be taught by an operator via the touch panel 32 or may be acquired from an external device such as a data server.
- the counting device 42 can store an initial value taught or obtained.
- the operation amount of the mounting machine 10 described above may be, for example, the number of operations of the mounting machine 10 or the operating time of the mounting machine 10.
- the determination device 44 determines whether or not the count value by the counting device 42 is within a predetermined normal range when the detection device 22 detects the splice part.
- the splice part reaches the detection position B by the detection device 22, the above-mentioned expected remaining number of electronic components 4 should remain on the first tape material 8a. Therefore, if the detection device 22 correctly detects the splice part, the count value by the counting device 42 is equal to or close to the planned remaining number. The reason why the count value does not necessarily match the expected remaining number is that an inevitable error may occur in the count value obtained by the counting device 42.
- the detection device 22 detects the splice portion, if the count value by the counting device 42 is greatly different from the expected remaining number, the detection device 22 detects a portion that is not the splice portion as a splice portion. It can be estimated that the detection device 22 has malfunctioned. Therefore, by determining whether or not the count value by the counting device 42 is within a predetermined normal range, whether the detection by the detecting device 22 is the one in which the splice portion is correctly detected or due to a malfunction. Can be determined.
- the normal range described above can be set as appropriate.
- the normal range may be a fixed range or may be changed according to the various first tape materials 8a.
- the determination device 44 may determine at least one of the upper limit and the lower limit that define the normal range by multiplying the initial value of the number of electronic components accommodated in the first tape material 8a by a predetermined coefficient. Good.
- the determination device 44 can change the normal range in accordance with the planned remaining number described above.
- the determination device 44 can determine at least one of the upper limit and the lower limit that define the normal range by multiplying the predetermined remaining number of the first tape material 8a by a predetermined coefficient.
- the determination device 44 can also determine at least one of an upper limit and a lower limit that define the normal range by adding or subtracting a predetermined number to the expected remaining number of the first tape material 8a.
- the determination device 44 performs a notification operation using the touch panel 32. Specifically, the determination device 44 outputs a predetermined error signal to the touch panel 32, and the touch panel 32 receiving the error signal displays a predetermined error screen. Thereby, the malfunction due to the detection device 22 is notified to the worker.
- the mounting machine 10 may emit a sound indicating that the detection device 22 has malfunctioned, other light, vibration, an electric signal, and a radio wave to the outside instead of displaying on the touch panel 32.
- the determination device 44 may execute a process of stopping the production operation of the mounting machine.
- the correction device 46 executes processing for correcting the count value obtained by the counting device 42.
- the correction device 46 stores the planned remaining number described above as a normal value used for correction, and rewrites the count value obtained by the counting device 42 to the normal value. Thereby, the error which has arisen in the count value by the counting device 42 is excluded.
- the expected remaining number is the number of electronic components that are expected to remain on the first tape material 8a when the detection device 22 detects the splice portion, and the first tape material 8a is a unit. It varies depending on the number of electronic components accommodated per length.
- the correction device 46 may change the normal value in accordance with the number of electronic components that the first tape material 8a accommodates per unit length.
- the number of electronic components accommodated per unit length by the first tape material 8a may be taught by an operator or may be taught from an external device such as a data server.
- the normal value used by the correction device 46 is not limited to the above, and may be determined as appropriate.
- the suitability of detection by the detection device 22 is determined by referring to the count value by the counting device 42. Can do. Thereby, for example, when the detection device 22 malfunctions, it is possible to avoid the count value by the counting device 42 being corrected inappropriately.
- the position of the detection device 22 can be appropriately changed.
- the detection device 22 may be disposed on the mounting head 16. According to such a configuration, the pick-up position A and the detection position B shown in FIG. In this case, when the detection device 22 detects the splice portion, the number of electronic components remaining on the first tape material 8a becomes zero. Therefore, the correction device 46 described above is used regardless of the mode of the first tape material 8a. The normal value of can be set to zero.
