Abstract
車両前部構造(S1)では、ホイールハウス(10)の一部を構成する下側内壁部(20)に第1ガイド(22A)~(22D)が形成されており、第1ガイド(22A)~(22D)は平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜されている。また、第1ガイド(22A,22B,22C)の後端部には、車両後側へ開口された第1開口部(24A,24B,24C)が形成されている。このため、空気流(W)が第1ガイド(22A)~(22C)の車幅方向内側面に沿って流れるため、空気流(W)が車両後側への流れに整流される。これにより、ホイールハウス(10)内において空気流(W)が第1開口部(24A)から車両後側へ流れるため、空気流(W)がホイールハウス(10)から車両幅方向外側への吹き出されることが抑制される。その結果、車両(V)の側方において空気流(W)がホイールハウス(10)から吹き出すことによる空気乱れの発生が抑制される。
Description
本発明は、車両前部構造に関する。
下記特許文献1に記載された車両前部構造では、車両の前部にアンダーカバーが設けられており、アンダーカバーが車体の前側下部を覆っている。このアンダーカバーには、冷却ダクト、ストレイク、及び排気口が設けられており、これら冷却ダクト、ストレイク、及び排気口によって走行風がブレーキ機構部へ導かれてブレーキ機構部を冷却している。
ところで、車両の走行時にエンジンルームからホイールハウス内のフロントタイヤ側へ吹き出す空気流が生じると、当該空気流が、ホイールハウスから車両幅方向外側へ吹き出される可能性がある。この場合には、当該空気流が、車両の側方を車両後側へ流れる走行風に当たり、車両の側方において空気乱れが発生する虞がある。
本発明は、上記事実を考慮し、車両の側方における空気乱れの発生を抑制できる車両前部構造を提供することを目的とする。
第1の態様に係る車両前部構造は、前輪が配置されるホイールハウスの一部を構成し、前記前輪に対して車幅方向内側に配置され、エンジンルーム内と前記ホイールハウス内とを連通する開口部が形成された内壁と、前記内壁に形成され、前記開口部から前記ホイールハウスへ排出される空気流又は前記開口部から前記ホイールハウスへ排出された空気流を車両後側へ整流するガイドと、を備えている。
第1の態様に係る車両前部構造では、前輪が配置されるホイールハウスの一部を構成する内壁が、前輪に対して車幅方向内側に配置されている。この内壁には、開口部が形成されており、エンジンルーム内とホイールハウス内とが開口部によって連通されている。
ここで、内壁にガイドが形成されており、ガイドは、開口部からホイールハウスへ排出される空気流又は開口部からホイールハウスへ排出された空気流を車両後側へ整流する。すなわち、空気流がガイドによって車両後側へ整流されて開口部からホイールハウスへ排出される。又は、開口部からホイールハウスへ排出された空気流がガイドによって車両後側へ整流される。これにより、ホイールハウス内において空気流が車両後側へ流れるため、空気流がホイールハウスから車両幅方向外側へ吹き出すことが抑制される。その結果、車両の側方を車両後側へ流れる走行風に当該空気流が当たることが抑制される。したがって、開口部からホイールハウスへ排出された空気流がホイールハウスから吹き出すことによる空気乱れの発生を抑制することができる。
第2の態様に係る車両前部構造は、第1の態様において、前記ガイドが平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜され、前記開口部が前記ガイドの後端部において車両後側へ開口されている。
第2の態様に係る車両前部構造では、ガイドが平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜されており、開口部が、ガイドの後端部において車両後側へ開口されている。これにより、開口部からホイールハウスへ排出される前の空気流がガイドの車幅方向内側面に沿って流れるため、当該空気流を車両後側への流れに整流することができる。そして、車両後側への流れに整流された当該空気流が開口部から車両後側へ排出される。したがって、エンジンルームからホイールハウスへ排出される空気流を簡易な構成で車両後側へ整流することができる。
第3の態様に係る車両前部構造は、第2の態様において、前記ガイドは、前記内壁に複数形成されると共に、車両前後方向に並んで配置されており、車両前後方向に隣接する前記ガイドにおいて、車両前側の前記ガイドの前記開口部が車両後側の前記ガイドの車幅方向外側まで及ぶように配置されている。
第3の態様に係る車両前部構造では、複数のガイドが車両前後方向に並んで配置されている。このため、車両前後方向に隣接するガイドにおいて、車両前側に配置されたガイドの後端部に開口された開口部から排出された空気流が、コアンダ効果によって、車両後側に配置されたガイドの車幅方向外側面に沿って車両後側へ流れる。したがって、エンジンルームからホイールハウスへ排出される空気流に対する整流効果を一層高くすることができる。
第4の態様に係る車両前部構造は、第1の態様において、前記ガイドが平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜され、前記開口部が前記ガイドの車両前側において車幅方向外側又は車両後側へ開口されている。
第4の態様に係る車両前部構造では、ガイドが平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜されており、開口部が、ガイドの車両前側において、車幅方向外側又は車両後側へ開口されている。これにより、開口部からホイールハウスへ排出された後の空気流がコアンダ効果によってガイドの車幅方向外側面に沿って車両後側へ流れるため、当該空気流を車両後側への流れに整流することができる。したがって、エンジンルームからホイールハウスへ排出された空気流を簡易な構成で車両後側へ整流することができる。
第5の態様に係る車両前部構造は、第1の態様~第4の態様の何れか1つの態様において、前記ガイドが、平面視で、車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ凸になるように湾曲されている。
第5の態様に係る車両前部構造では、車両の走行に対する推進力を発生させることができる。すなわち、ガイドが、平面視で、車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ凸になるように湾曲されているため、空気流がガイドに沿って車両後側へ流れるときに、流線曲率の定理によって車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ向かう力が発生する。そして、この力の車幅方向の分力は、車両右側に配置されたホイールハウスのガイドにおいて車両右方向へ作用し、車両左側に配置されたホイールハウスのガイドにおいて車両左方向へ作用するため、当該分力が互いに相殺される。一方、この力の車両前後の分力は、左右のホイールハウスのガイドにおいて車両前方へ作用するため、当該分力が車両の走行に対する推進力として作用する。その結果、この推進力によって車両の走行性能を向上させることができる。
第6の態様に係る車両前部構造は、第1の態様~第5の態様の何れか1つの態様において、フロントサスペンションのロアアーム又はタイロッドが前記開口部内に配置されている。
第6の態様に係る車両前部構造では、フロントサスペンションのロアアーム又はタイロッドが開口部内に配置されているため、開口部を活用してロアアーム又はタイロッドを配置することができる。
第7の態様に係る車両前部構造は、第1の態様~第6の態様の何れか1つの態様において、前記エンジンルームを車両下側から覆うアンダーカバーを備え、前記アンダーカバーの車幅方向外側端部が車両上側へ屈曲されて前記内壁を構成している。
第7の態様に係る車両前部構造では、内壁がアンダーカバーの車幅方向外側端部によって構成されているため、ガイドがアンダーカバーの車幅方向外側端部に形成されている。これにより、部品点数の増加を抑制しつつ、ガイドをホイールハウスに設けることができる。
第1の態様の車両前部構造によれば、車両の側方における空気乱れの発生を抑制できる。
第2の態様の車両前部構造によれば、エンジンルームからホイールハウスへ排出される空気流を簡易な構成で車両後側へ整流することができる。
第3の態様の車両前部構造によれば、エンジンルームからホイールハウスへ排出される空気流に対する整流効果を一層高くすることができる。
第4の態様の車両前部構造によれば、エンジンルームからホイールハウスへ排出された空気流を簡易な構成で車両後側へ整流することができる。
第5の態様の車両前部構造によれば、車両の走行性能を向上させることができる。
第6の態様の車両前部構造によれば、開口部を活用してロアアーム又はタイロッドを配置することができる。
第7の態様の車両前部構造によれば、部品点数の増加を抑制しつつ、ガイドをホイールハウスに設けることができる。
(第1の実施の形態)
以下、図1~図5を用いて第1の実施の形態に係る車両前部構造S1について説明する。なお、図面では、車両前部構造S1が適用された車両(自動車)Vの車両前方を矢印FRで示し、車両上方を矢印UPで示し、車両上側から見たときの車両右方(車幅方向一側)を矢印RHで示している。また、車両前部構造S1では、車幅方向において左右対称に構成されているため、車両右側における車両前部構造S1について説明して、車両左側における車両前部構造S1についての説明は省略する。
以下、図1~図5を用いて第1の実施の形態に係る車両前部構造S1について説明する。なお、図面では、車両前部構造S1が適用された車両(自動車)Vの車両前方を矢印FRで示し、車両上方を矢印UPで示し、車両上側から見たときの車両右方(車幅方向一側)を矢印RHで示している。また、車両前部構造S1では、車幅方向において左右対称に構成されているため、車両右側における車両前部構造S1について説明して、車両左側における車両前部構造S1についての説明は省略する。
図1及び図2に示されるように、車両前部構造S1は、車両Vの前部のホイールハウス10に適用されている。ホイールハウス10内には、例えば樹脂材により構成されたフェンダライナ12が設けられている。フェンダライナ12はアーチ部12Aを有しており、アーチ部12Aは側面視で車両下側へ開放された略半円筒状に形成されている。そして、アーチ部12Aの径方向内側には、「前輪」としてのフロントタイヤ14(図1参照)が配置されており、フロントタイヤ14の転舵を許容するようにアーチ部12Aがフロントタイヤ14を車両上側から覆っている。
また、図4に示されるように、左右のホイールハウス10の間には、第1アンダーカバー16(広義には、「アンダーカバー」として把握される要素である)が設けられており、第1アンダーカバー16は車両VのエンジンルームERを車両下側から覆っている。第1アンダーカバー16の車両前側には、第2アンダーカバー18(広義には、「アンダーカバー」として把握される要素である)が設けられており、第2アンダーカバー18は車両Vの前端部における下部を構成している。
図1~図3に示されるように、第1アンダーカバー16の車幅方向外側端部が車両上側へ屈曲されている。そして、この屈曲された部分が、ホイールハウス10の下部の内壁を構成する「内壁」としての下側内壁部20とされており、下側内壁部20はフロントタイヤ14に対して車幅方向内側に配置されている。これにより、ホイールハウス10内とエンジンルームER内とが、ホイールハウス10の下部において、第1アンダーカバー16の下側内壁部20によって車幅方向に仕切られている。
下側内壁部20には、複数(本実施の形態では4箇所)の「ガイド」として第1ガイド22A,22B,22C,22Dが一体に形成されている。この第1ガイド22A~22Dは、車両前後方向に所定の間隔を空けて並んで配置されており、最も車両前側に配置された第1ガイド22Aが、他の第1ガイド22B~22Dよりも車幅方向外側に配置されている(図1参照)。また、第1ガイド22A~22Dは、平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜されて、第1ガイド22A~22Dの下端が第1アンダーカバー16に結合されている。また、最も車両前側に配置された第1ガイド22Aの前端が下側内壁部20に結合されており、最も車両後側に配置された第1ガイド22Dの後端部が、車幅方向内側に屈曲されて、下側内壁部20に結合されている。
これにより、第1ガイド22A(22B,22C)の後端部には、車両後側へ開口された「開口部」としての第1開口部24A(24B,24C)が形成されており、エンジンルームER内とホイールハウス10内とが、第1開口部24A~24Cによって連通されている。換言すると、第1開口部24A(24B,24C)が、第1ガイド22B(22C,22D)の車両前側に隣接して配置されている。また、前述したように、第1ガイド22A~22Dでは、最も車両前側に配置された第1ガイド22Aが、他の第1ガイド22B~22Dよりも車幅方向外側に配置されている(図1参照)。具体的には、車両前後方向に隣接する第1ガイドにおいて、車両前側の第1ガイドの第1開口部が、車両後側の第1ガイドの車幅方向外側まで及ぶように配置されている。すなわち、第1開口部24Aが第1ガイド22Bの車幅方向外側まで及ぶように配置され、第1開口部24Bが第1ガイド22Cの車幅方向外側まで及ぶように配置され、第1開口部24Cが第1ガイド22Dの車幅方向外側まで及ぶように配置されている。
また、第1ガイド22A~22Dは、平面視で、車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ凸になるように湾曲されている。具体的には、第1ガイド22A~22Dが平面視で曲線状(略円弧状)に湾曲されている。これにより、本実施の形態では、第1ガイド22A~22Dの車幅方向外側面及び車幅方向内側面が1つの曲面によって構成されている。
さらに、車両前側から2番目に配置された第1ガイド22Bには、車両前側の部分において、「ガイド」としての第2ガイド26が一体に形成されている。この第2ガイド26は、第1ガイド22Bに対して車幅方向外側に配置されると共に、平面視で第1ガイド22Bと同心円を成すように曲線状(略円弧状)に湾曲されている。これにより、第2ガイド26においても、車幅方向外側面及び車幅方向内側面が1つの曲面によって構成されている。そして、第2ガイド26の上端部が車幅方向内側へ屈曲されて第1ガイド22Bの上端に結合されている。これにより、第2ガイド26の後端部には、車両後側へ開口された「開口部」としての第2開口部28が形成されており、エンジンルームER内とホイールハウス10内とが、第2開口部28によっても連通されている。
一方、図1及び図2に示されるように、第1アンダーカバー16の車両上側には、所謂マルチリンクタイプのフロントサスペンション30が設けられている。フロントサスペンション30は、平面視で略矩形枠状に形成されたサスペンションメンバ32(図4参照)を有している。また、サスペンションメンバ32における車幅方向両端部分の車両上側には、車両Vの骨格部材を構成する左右一対のフロントサイドメンバ40が車両前後方向に延在されている。そして、サスペンションメンバ32の車幅方向両端部分がフロントサイドメンバ40に固定されている。なお、左右一対のフロントサイドメンバ40の間には、図示しないパワーユニットが配置されている。
また、フロントサスペンション30を構成する「ロアアーム」としての第1ロアアーム34が、サスペンションメンバ32の車両下側に配置されており、第1ロアアーム34の基端部がサスペンションメンバ32に回転可能に支持されている。この第1ロアアーム34の基端側の部分は第1開口部24A内に配置されており、第1ロアアーム34が、平面視で車幅方向外側へ向かうに従い車両後側へ傾斜されて、第1開口部24Aから車幅方向外側(ホイールハウス10内)へ延びている。これにより、第1開口部24Aでは、第1ロアアーム34に対して車両前側に第1ガイド22Aが配置され、第1ロアアーム34に対して車両後側に第2ガイド26が配置されている。
また、フロントサスペンション30を構成する「ロアアーム」としての第2ロアアーム36が、サスペンションメンバ32の車両下側で且つ第1ロアアーム34の車両後側に配置されており、第2ロアアーム36の基端部がサスペンションメンバ32に回転可能に支持されている。この第2ロアアーム36の基端側の部分は第1開口部24C内に配置されており、第2ロアアーム36が第1開口部24Cから車幅方向外側(ホイールハウス10内)へ延びている。これにより、第1開口部24Cでは、第2ロアアーム36に対して車両前側に第1ガイド22Cが配置され、第2ロアアーム36に対して車両後側に第1ガイド22Dが配置されている。
さらに、サスペンションメンバ32の車両下側には、ステアリングボックス(図示省略)が車幅方向に延在されており、ステアリングボックスの車幅方向両端部には、タイロッド38が連結されている。このタイロッド38とステアリングボックスとの連結部分は、ブーツ38Aによって覆われている。そして、ブーツ38Aが第1開口部24B内に配置されて、タイロッド38が第1開口部24Bから車幅方向外側(ホイールハウス10内)へ延びている。これにより、第1開口部24Bでは、タイロッド38に対して車両前側に第1ガイド22Bが配置され、タイロッド38に対して車両後側に第1ガイド22Cが配置されている。
次に、第1の実施の形態の作用及び効果について説明する。
上記のように構成された車両前部構造S1では、エンジンルームERを車両下側から覆う第1アンダーカバー16の車幅方向両端部が、車両上側へ屈曲されて、ホイールハウス10の一部を構成する下側内壁部20とされている。この下側内壁部20は、フロントタイヤ14に対して車幅方向内側に配置されて、エンジンルームER内とホイールハウス10内とを仕切っている。
ここで、下側内壁部20には、4箇所の第1ガイド22A~22Dが形成されている。この第1ガイド22A~22Dは、平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜されている。また、第1ガイド22A(22B,22C)の後端部には、車両後側へ開口された第1開口部24A(24B,24C)が形成されており、エンジンルームER内とホイールハウス10内とが第1開口部24A~24Cによって連通されている。
このため、車両Vの走行時には、車両Vの前端部のフロントグリル等からエンジンルームへ空気が流入されて、エンジンルームER内の空気が第1開口部24A~24Cからホイールハウス10内へ排出される。そして、図5において模式的に示されるように、ホイールハウス10内へ排出される空気流Wは第1ガイド22A~22Cの車幅方向内側面に沿って流れるため、空気流Wが第1ガイド22A~22Cによって車両後側への流れに整流される。このため、車両後側への流れに整流された空気流Wが第1開口部24A~24Cから車両後側へそれぞれ排出される(図1及び図3参照)。これにより、空気流Wがホイールハウス10内を車両後側へ流れる。そして、当該空気流Wがホイールハウス10の後部から車両Vの床下へ流れて、車両Vの床下を車両後側へ流れる。したがって、空気流Wがホイールハウス10から車両幅方向外側へ吹き出されることが抑制される。その結果、車両Vの側方を車両後側へ流れる走行風に空気流Wが当たることが抑制されるため、車両Vの側方における空気乱れの発生を抑制することができる。
以下、この点について詳述する。空気流Wがホイールハウス10から車両Vの車幅方向外側へ吹き出すことを抑制するという観点からすると、エンジンルームER内の空気をホイールハウス10内へ排出させることを制限することが望ましい。つまり、下側内壁部20において第1開口部24A~24Cを省略することで、空気流WがエンジンルームER内からホイールハウス10内へ排出される(流れ込む)ことを制限できる。しかしながら、この場合には、エンジンルームER内の空気が滞留し易くなるため、エンジンルームERのパワーユニットを十分に冷却することができなくなる虞がある。このため、ホイールハウス10の下側内壁部20に第1開口部24A~24Cを形成することで、エンジンルームER内の空気を第1開口部24A~24Cから排出させて、エンジンルームERのパワーユニットに対する冷却効果を高めることができる。
一方、下側内壁部20に第1開口部24A~24Cを形成したホイールハウス10において第1ガイド22A~22Dを仮に省略すると、空気流Wが第1開口部24A~24Cからホイールハウス10内に車幅方向外側へ排出される。このため、ホイールハウス10内に排出された空気流Wが、ホイールハウス10から車幅方向外側へ吹き出されて、車両Vの側方を車両後側へ流れる走行風に当たる虞がある。これにより、車両Vの側方において空気乱れが発生して、車両Vの空気抵抗の増加や操縦安定性の低下を招く可能性がある。
これに対して、第1の実施の形態では、下側内壁部20に第1ガイド22A~22Dが形成されているため、上述したように、第1開口部24A~24Cからホイールハウス10内へ排出された空気流Wが車両後側へ流れる。これにより、空気流Wがホイールハウス10から車両幅方向外側へ吹き出すことが抑制されて、空気流Wがホイールハウス10から吹き出すことによる空気乱れの発生を抑制することができる。したがって、本実施の形態の車両前部構造S1によれば、エンジンルームERのパワーユニットに対する冷却効果を高めつつ、車両Vの側方における空気乱れの発生を抑制でき、ひいては車両Vの空気抵抗の増加や操縦安定性の低下を抑制することができる。
また、第1ガイド22A~22Dが、平面視で、車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ凸になるように湾曲されている。このため、図5に示されるように、空気流Wが第1ガイド22A~22Cの車幅方向内側面に沿って車両後側へ流れるときに、空気流Wが第1ガイド22A~22Dによって車両後側へ湾曲状に曲げられる。これにより、流線曲率の定理によって、湾曲状に曲げられた空気流Wにおける径方向内側の圧力が低くなり、湾曲状に曲げられた空気流Wにおける径方向外側の圧力が高くなる。その結果、湾曲状に曲げられた空気流Wによって車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ向かう力Fが発生して、当該力Fが第1ガイド22A~22Dの車幅方向内側面を押圧するように作用する。
そして、車両右側に配置されたホイールハウス10の第1ガイド22A~22Dでは、空気流Wによって発生した力Fの車幅方向の分力F1が車両右方向へ作用し、力Fの車両前後の分力F2が車両前方へ作用する。一方、車両左側に配置されたホイールハウス10の第1ガイド22A~22Dでは、空気流Wによって発生した力Fの車幅方向の分力F1が車両左方向へ作用し、力Fの車両前後の分力F2が車両前方へ作用する。このため、分力F1は左右のホイールハウス10において互いに相殺される。一方、分力F2は左右のホイールハウス10において車両前方へ作用する。これにより、この分力F2が車両Vの走行に対する推進力として作用する。その結果、当該推進力によって車両Vの走行性能を向上させることができる。
また、第1開口部24A内に第1ロアアーム34が配置され、第1開口部24B内にタイロッド38が配置され、第1開口部24C内に第2ロアアーム36が配置されている。このため、第1開口部24A~24Cを活用しつつ第1ロアアーム34、タイロッド38、及び第2ロアアーム36を配置することができる。換言すると、第1ロアアーム34、タイロッド38、及び第2ロアアーム36を配置するために第1開口部24A~24Cを形成し、当該第1開口部24A~24Cを活用して、第1開口部24A~24Cから排出される空気流Wを車両後側へ流すことができる。
また、第1ガイド22A~22Dは、車両前後方向に所定の間隔を空けて並んで配置されており、第1開口部24A(24B,24C)が第1ガイド22B(22C,22D)の車両前側に隣接して配置されている。このため、第1開口部24A(24B,24C)から排出された空気流Wが、コアンダ効果によって第1ガイド22B(22C,22D)の車幅方向外側面に沿って車両後側へ流れる。したがって、第1ガイド22A~22Dを車両前後方向に並べて配置することで、空気流Wに対する整流効果を一層高くすることができる。
また、第1ガイド22Bの車両前側部分には、第2ガイド26が一体に設けられており、第2ガイド26は第1ロアアーム34の車両後側に配置されている。このため、第1ロアアーム34の車両前側では、第1ガイド22Aによって空気流Wを車両後側への流れに整流して、当該空気流Wを第1開口部24Aから車両後側へ排出することができる。また、第1ロアアーム34の車両後側では、第2ガイド26によって空気流Wを車両後側への流れに整流して、当該空気流Wを第2開口部28から車両後側へ排出することができる(図1参照)。これにより、第1ロアアーム34の基端部の周囲において、空気流Wを効果的に車両後側へ流すことができる。
さらに、第1アンダーカバー16の車幅方向両端部が、ホイールハウス10の下側内壁部20を構成しており、第1ガイド22A~22D及び第2ガイド26が下側内壁部20に形成されている。これにより、部品点数の増加を抑制しつつ、第1ガイド22A~22D及び第2ガイド26をホイールハウス10に設けることができる。
(第2の実施の形態)
以下、図6及び図7を用いて、第2の実施の形態の車両前部構造S2について説明する。図7に示されるように、第2の実施の形態では、車両Vにおいて第1アンダーカバー16が省略されている。また、第2アンダーカバー18の車幅方向両側部分には、車両後側へ張り出した張出部18Aが一体に形成されており、張出部18Aはホイールハウス10の車幅方向内側に配置されている。さらに、図6に示されるように、張出部18Aの車幅方向外側端部が車両上側へ屈曲されており、この屈曲された部分が、ホイールハウス10の内壁の前部を構成する「内壁」としての前側内壁部50とされている。そして、前側内壁部50が、フロントタイヤ14(図7参照)に対して車幅方向内側に配置されている。
以下、図6及び図7を用いて、第2の実施の形態の車両前部構造S2について説明する。図7に示されるように、第2の実施の形態では、車両Vにおいて第1アンダーカバー16が省略されている。また、第2アンダーカバー18の車幅方向両側部分には、車両後側へ張り出した張出部18Aが一体に形成されており、張出部18Aはホイールハウス10の車幅方向内側に配置されている。さらに、図6に示されるように、張出部18Aの車幅方向外側端部が車両上側へ屈曲されており、この屈曲された部分が、ホイールハウス10の内壁の前部を構成する「内壁」としての前側内壁部50とされている。そして、前側内壁部50が、フロントタイヤ14(図7参照)に対して車幅方向内側に配置されている。
また、前側内壁部50の上下方向中間部は、正面視で略クランク状に屈曲されており、前側内壁部50の下部が前側内壁部50の上部に対して車幅方向内側に配置されている。そして、第2の実施の形態では、2箇所の第1ガイドが前側内壁部50の下部に形成されている。すなわち、前側内壁部50に第1ガイド22A,22Bが形成されており、第1ガイド22A,22Bは、前側内壁部50から車幅方向外側へ突出されると共に、車両前後方向に並んで配置されている。また、第1ガイド22A,22Bの上端部及び下端部が車幅方向内側に屈曲されて前側内壁部50に結合されている。これにより、第1ガイド22A(22B)の後端部に、車両後側へ開口された第1開口部24A(24B)が形成されている。また、第2の実施の形態では、第1の実施の形態の第2ガイド26が省略されている。
さらに、第2の実施の形態では、フロントサスペンション30が所謂ストラットタイプのサスペンションとされており、フロントサスペンション30を構成するロアアーム52が、平面視で車幅方向内側へ開放された略γ字形状に形成されている。このロアアーム52及びタイロッド38は、前側内壁部50の車両後側に配置されている。
そして、車両Vの走行時には、エンジンルームER内の空気がホイールハウス10側へ引き寄せられて、ホイールハウス10側へ流れる空気流Wが生じる。この空気流Wは、第1の実施の形態と同様に、第1ガイド22A,22Bの車幅方向内側面に沿って流れて、車両後側への流れに整流される。そして、車両後側への流れに整流された空気流Wが第1開口部24A,24Bから車両後側へそれぞれ排出される(図6参照)。これにより、空気流Wがホイールハウス10内を車両後側へ流れる。そして、当該空気流Wがホイールハウス10の後部から車両Vの床下へ流れて、車両Vの床下を車両後側へ流れる。したがって、空気流Wがホイールハウス10から車両幅方向外側へ吹き出されることが抑制される。その結果、空気流Wがホイールハウス10から吹き出すことによる空気乱れの発生が抑制される。以上により、第2の実施の形態においても、第1の実施の形態と同様の作用及び効果を奏することができる。
なお、第1の実施の形態及び第2の実施の形態では、第1ガイド22A~22D(第2の実施の形態では第1ガイド22A,22B)が、平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ凸となるように曲線状に湾曲されているが、第1ガイド22A~22Dの形状はこれに限らない。例えば、第1ガイド22Aを用いて説明すると、第1ガイド22Aを平板状の複数のガイド部に分割して、当該ガイド部同士を接続することで、平面視で第1ガイド22Aを車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ凸となるように湾曲させてもよい。すなわち、第1ガイド22Aの車幅方向外側面及び車幅方向内側面が複数の平面によって構成されるように設定してもよい。これにより、本発明における「ガイドが、平面視で、車両前側且つ車幅方向外側へ凸になるように湾曲された」とは、第1ガイド22A~22Dの車幅方向外側面及び車幅方向内側面が1つの曲面によって構成された場合や、第1ガイド22A~22Dの車幅方向外側面及び車幅方向内側面が複数の平面によって構成された場合を含んでいる。
また、第1の実施の形態及び第2の実施の形態では、車両後側へ開口された第1開口部24A(24B,24C)が第1ガイド22A(22B,22C)の後端部に形成されているが、第1開口部24A(24B,24C)の開口方向及び位置を以下のように設定してもよい。すなわち、第1開口部24A及び第1ガイド22Aを用いて図8にて説明すると、例えば、車幅方向外側へ開口した第1開口部24Aを第1ガイド22Aの車両前側に形成してもよい。この場合には、空気流Wが第1開口部24Aからホイールハウス10内に車幅方向外側へ排出されるが、空気流Wは、コアンダ効果によって第1ガイド22Aの車幅方向外側面に沿って車両後側へ流れるため、空気流Wが車両後側への流れに整流される。このため、車幅方向外側へ開口された第1開口部24Aを第1ガイド22Aの車両前側に配置した場合でも、第1開口部24Aからホイールハウス10内へ排出された空気流Wが車両後側へ流れるため、空気流Wがホイールハウス10から車幅方向外側へ吹き出されることを抑制できる。
さらに、第1開口部24Aを第1ガイド22Aの車両前側に形成した場合においても、車両Vの走行に対する推進力を空気流Wによって発生させることができる。すなわち、図8に示されるように、空気流Wが第1ガイド22Aの車幅方向外側面に沿って車両後側へ流れるときには、空気流Wが第1ガイド22Aによって車両後側へ湾曲状に曲げられる。このため、上述したように、流線曲率の定理から、湾曲状に曲げられた空気流Wによって車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ向かう力Fが発生して、当該力Fが第1ガイド22Aを引張るように作用する。そして、力Fの車幅方向の分力F1は、左右のホイールハウス10の第1ガイド22Aにおいて互いに相殺される。一方、力Fの車両前後の分力F2が、左右のホイールハウス10の第1ガイド22Aにおいて車両前方へ作用する。したがって、この分力F2が車両Vの走行に対する推進力として作用する。その結果、この場合においても車両Vの走行性能を向上することができる。
また、第1の実施の形態では、第1ガイド22A~22D及び第2ガイド26が第1アンダーカバー16に一体に形成されており、第2の実施の形態では、第1ガイド22A,22Bが第2アンダーカバー18に一体に形成されているが、第1ガイド22A~22Dや第2ガイド26を形成する部材はこれに限らない。例えば、下側内壁部20を第1アンダーカバー16とは別体に構成して、当該下側内壁部20を第1アンダーカバー16に結合してもよい。また、前側内壁部50を第2アンダーカバー18とは別体に構成して、当該前側内壁部50を第2アンダーカバー18に結合してもよい。
また、第1の実施の形態では、下側内壁部20に4箇所の第1ガイド22A~22Dが形成されており、第2の実施の形態では、前側内壁部50に2箇所の第1ガイド22A,22Bが形成されているが、第1ガイドの個数は任意に設定することができる。
また、第2の実施の形態では、第1アンダーカバー16が省略されているが、第1の実施の形態と同様に第1アンダーカバー16を車両Vに取り付けてもよい。
Claims (7)
- 前輪が配置されるホイールハウスの一部を構成し、前記前輪に対して車幅方向内側に配置され、エンジンルーム内と前記ホイールハウス内とを連通する開口部が形成された内壁と、
前記内壁に形成され、前記開口部から前記ホイールハウスへ排出される空気流又は前記開口部から前記ホイールハウスへ排出された空気流を車両後側へ整流するガイドと、
を備えた車両前部構造。 - 前記ガイドが平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜され、
前記開口部が前記ガイドの後端部において車両後側へ開口された請求項1に記載の車両前部構造。 - 前記ガイドは、前記内壁に複数形成されると共に、車両前後方向に並んで配置されており、
車両前後方向に隣接する前記ガイドにおいて、車両前側の前記ガイドの前記開口部が車両後側の前記ガイドの車幅方向外側まで及ぶように配置されている請求項2に記載の車両前部構造。 - 前記ガイドが平面視で車幅方向外側且つ車両後側へ傾斜され、
前記開口部が前記ガイドの車両前側において車幅方向外側又は車両後側へ開口された請求項1に記載の車両前部構造。 - 前記ガイドが、平面視で、車幅方向外側且つ車両前側へ凸になるように湾曲された請求項1~請求項4の何れか1項に記載の車両前部構造。
- フロントサスペンションのロアアーム又はタイロッドが前記開口部内に配置された請求項1~請求項5の何れか1項に記載の車両前部構造。
- 前記エンジンルームを車両下側から覆うアンダーカバーを備え、
前記アンダーカバーの車幅方向外側端部が車両上側へ屈曲されて前記内壁を構成している請求項1~請求項6の何れか1項に記載の車両前部構造。
