Abstract

 小型化可能な撮像装置、および内視鏡装置を提供する。本発明の撮像装置100は、入射光を集光する対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3と、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を嵌合させる嵌合部43a-1~43a-3が形成されたレンズ支持部材41と、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3が集光した光を反射させるプリズム51と、プリズム51により反射された光を受光して光電変換を行うことにより電気信号を生成する受光部を有する撮像素子と、を備え、レンズ支持部材41は、プリズム51を嵌め合せ可能な切欠き44または開口部を有し、撮像素子のプリズム51実装面上に接続されることを特徴とする。

Description

撮像装置、および内視鏡装置
 本発明は、被検体内に挿入される内視鏡の挿入部の先端に設けられて被検体内を撮像する撮像装置、および該撮像装置を使用した内視鏡装置に関する。
 従来、医療分野および工業分野において、各種検査のために内視鏡装置が広く用いられている。このうち、医療用の内視鏡装置は、患者等の被検体内に、先端部に撮像装置が内蔵された可撓性を有する細長の挿入部を挿入することによって、被検部位の観察等を行うことができるものであるが、被検体への導入のしやすさを考慮し、挿入部の細径化が求められている。
 一般に、内視鏡等に用いられる撮像装置は、金属製の鏡筒によって対物光学系としてのレンズ群の外周部を固定し、該鏡筒を筒状の鏡筒保持部材で保持することによりレンズ群の径方向および光軸方向の位置を規定している。挿入部を細径化する技術として、対物光学系の鏡筒を保持する鏡筒保持部材に光路方向の間隔を設け、この間隔部分の外周面をカットした後、固体撮像素子の上面側に近接配置することにより、高さ寸法を低減した内視鏡用撮像装置が開示されている(たとえば、特許文献1および2参照)。

 しかしながら、特許文献1および2の技術では、レンズ群の外周を鏡筒および鏡筒保持部材で覆う構造であるため、高さ寸法の低減には限界があるとともに、高さ寸法の低減のために光路方向に余分な間隔を設けているため、挿入部の長さが長くなり、内視鏡装置の小型化を阻害する要因となりうるものであった。
 本発明は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであって、小型化可能な撮像装置、および内視鏡装置を提供することを目的とする。
 上述した課題を解決し、目的を達成するために、本発明にかかる撮像装置は、入射光を集光するレンズ群と、前記レンズ群を嵌合させる嵌合部が形成されたレンズ支持部材と、前記レンズ群が集光した光を反射させるプリズムと、前記プリズムにより反射された光を受光して光電変換を行うことにより電気信号を生成する受光部を有する撮像素子と、を備え、前記レンズ支持部材は、前記プリズムを嵌め合せ可能な切欠きまたは開口部を有し、前記撮像素子の前記プリズム実装面側に接続されることを特徴とする。
 また、本発明の撮像装置は、上記発明において、前記プリズムは、前記撮像素子の受光部表面に実装されることを特徴とする。
 また、本発明の撮像装置は、上記発明において、前記切欠きまたは前記開口部の前記レンズ群の光軸方向と平行な側面は、前記プリズムの前記光軸方向と平行な側面の一部と接触し、前記開口部の前記光軸方向と平行な側面の長さは、前記プリズムの実装面の光軸方向の長さより長いことを特徴とする。
 また、本発明の撮像装置は、上記発明において、前記レンズ支持部材は、前記撮像素子との接続面側に接続電極が形成されるとともに、前記嵌合部が形成される面側にケーブル接続用の接続電極が形成されることを特徴とする。
 また、本発明の内視鏡装置は、生体内に挿入され、生体内部を撮像する撮像装置を備えた内視鏡装置において、前記撮像装置は、上記のいずれか一つに記載の撮像装置であることを特徴とする。
 本発明によれば、レンズ支持部材の嵌合部にレンズ群を嵌合することによりレンズ群を保持可能であるため、撮像装置の小型化が可能となる。また、レンズ支持部材は、撮像素子に実装されたプリズムを嵌め合せ可能な切欠きまたは開口部を備え、該切欠きまたは開口部を介してレンズ支持部材を光軸方向に移動することができるためピント調整も簡易に行うことが可能となる。

 以下の説明では、本発明を実施するための形態(以下、「実施の形態」という)として、撮像モジュールを備えた内視鏡装置について説明する。また、この実施の形態により、この発明が限定されるものではない。さらに、図面の記載において、同一部分には同一の符号を付している。さらにまた、図面は、模式的なものであり、各部材の厚みと幅との関係、各部材の比率等は、現実と異なることに留意する必要がある。また、図面の相互間においても、互いの寸法や比率が異なる部分が含まれている。
(実施の形態1)
 図1は、本発明の実施の形態にかかる内視鏡システムの全体構成を模式的に示す図である。図1に示すように、内視鏡装置1は、内視鏡2と、ユニバーサルコード6と、コネクタ7と、光源装置9と、プロセッサ(制御装置)10と、表示装置13とを備える。
 内視鏡2は、挿入部4を被検体内に挿入することによって、被検体の体内画像を撮像し撮像信号を出力する。ユニバーサルコード6内部の電気ケーブル束は、内視鏡2の挿入部4の先端まで延伸され、挿入部4の先端部31に設けられる撮像装置に接続する。
 コネクタ7は、ユニバーサルコード6の基端に設けられて、光源装置9およびプロセッサ10に接続され、ユニバーサルコード6と接続する先端部31の撮像装置が出力する撮像信号に所定の信号処理を施すとともに、撮像信号をアナログデジタル変換(A/D変換)して画像信号として出力する。
 光源装置9は、例えば、白色LEDを用いて構成される。光源装置9が点灯するパルス状の白色光は、コネクタ7、ユニバーサルコード6を経由して内視鏡2の挿入部4の先端から被写体へ向けて照射する照明光となる。
 プロセッサ10は、コネクタ7から出力される画像信号に所定の画像処理を施すとともに、内視鏡装置1全体を制御する。表示装置13は、プロセッサ10が処理を施した画像信号を表示する。
 内視鏡2の挿入部4の基端側には、内視鏡機能を操作する各種ボタン類やノブ類が設けられた操作部5が接続される。操作部5には、被検体内に生体鉗子、電気メスおよび検査プローブ等の処置具を挿入する処置具挿入口17が設けられる。
 挿入部4は、撮像装置が設けられる先端部31と、先端部31の基端側に連設された複数方向に湾曲自在な湾曲部32と、この湾曲部32の基端側に連設された可撓管部33とによって構成される。湾曲部32内の湾曲管は、操作部5に設けられた湾曲操作用ノブの操作によって湾曲し、挿入部4内部に挿通された湾曲ワイヤの牽引弛緩にともない、たとえば上下左右の4方向に湾曲自在となっている。
 内視鏡2には、光源装置9からの照明光を伝送するライトガイド(不図示)が配設され、ライトガイドによる照明光の出射端に照明レンズ(不図示)が配置される。この照明レンズは、挿入部4の先端部31に設けられており、照明光が被検体に向けて照射される。
 次に、内視鏡2の先端部31の構成について詳細に説明する。図2は、内視鏡2先端の部分断面図である。図2は、内視鏡2の先端部31に設けられた撮像装置の基板面に対して直交する面であって撮像装置の入射光の光軸方向と平行、かつ鉛直軸を含む面で切断した場合の断面図である。図2においては、内視鏡2の挿入部4の先端部31と、湾曲部32の一部を図示する。
 図2に示すように、湾曲部32は、湾曲管34内部に挿通された湾曲ワイヤの牽引弛緩にともない、上下左右の4方向に湾曲自在である。この湾曲部32の先端側に延設された先端部31内部の上部に、撮像装置100が設けられ、下部には各種処置具を延出させる処置具チャンネル36が形成されている。
 撮像装置100は、レンズユニット40と、レンズユニット40の基端側に配置する撮像ユニット50とを有し、接着剤で先端部31の内側に接着される。先端部31は、撮像装置100を収容する内部空間を形成するための硬質部材で形成される。先端部31の基端外周部は、図示しない柔軟な被覆管によって被覆されている。先端部31よりも基端側の部材は、湾曲部32が湾曲可能なように、柔軟な部材で構成されている。
 レンズユニット40は、複数の対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3と、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を支持するレンズ支持部材41とを有し、このレンズ支持持部材41および対物レンズ40a-1の上端が、先端部31内部の先端固定部35に挿嵌固定されることによって、先端部31に固定される。
 撮像ユニット50は、レンズユニット40の対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3から出射された光を反射させるプリズム51、プリズム51により反射された光を受光して光電変換を行うことにより電気信号を生成する受光部52を有する撮像素子53を備える。撮像素子53は、受光部52が水平となるように配置される横置き型であり、プリズム51は受光部52上に接着されている。また、撮像素子53の基端には、電気ケーブル束の各信号ケーブル55の先端が接続される。なお、撮像素子53には、基板が接続され、該基板に処理回路54を構成する電子部品および信号ケーブル55が実装または接続されてもよい。
 各信号ケーブル55の基端は、挿入部4の基端方向に延伸する。電気ケーブル束は、挿入部4に挿通配置され、図1に示す操作部5およびユニバーサルコード6を介して、コネクタ7まで延設されている。
 レンズ支持部材41の一端から入射した光は、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3によって集光され、プリズム51に入射する。CCDまたはCMOSイメージセンサ等から選択される受光部52は、プリズム51から照射された光を受光できる位置に形成され、受光した光を撮像信号に変換する。撮像信号は、撮像素子53に接続される信号ケーブル55およびコネクタ7を経由して、プロセッサ10に出力される。本明細書において、レンズ支持部材41の光が入射する側、すなわち対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3が配置される側を前端部といい、プリズム51が配置される側を後端部という。
 レンズ支持部材41は撮像素子53と接着剤により接着され、レンズ支持部材41の後端、および撮像素子53上のプリズム51の組み付け位置の後端側は、封止樹脂56により封止されている。
 次に、撮像装置100について説明する。図3Aは、撮像装置100の前面図である。図3Bは、撮像装置100の上面図である。図3Cは、撮像装置100の側面図である。図3Dは、図3BのA-A線断面図である。
 図3A~3Dに示すように、レンズ支持部材41は板状をなし、入射光の光路となる溝部42と、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を嵌合させる嵌合部43a-1~43a-3と、プリズム51を嵌め合せ可能な切欠き44が形成されている。
 嵌合部43a-1~43a-3は、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を固定し、その間隔を保持できる構成とすればよい。本実施の形態1では、溝部42の対向する側面に嵌合部43a-1~43a-3を形成しているが、溝部42の底面部も切削して嵌合部としてもよい。溝部42の底面部にも嵌合部を形成することにより、先端部31の小型化が可能となる。底面として溝部42の底面部を切削して嵌合部を形成する際、貫通穴として対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3が撮像素子53に接するような嵌合部としてもよい。あるいは、溝部42の幅を対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3の径と同じくし、溝部42の底面のみに嵌合部43a-1~43a-3を形成してもよい。
 切欠き44は、プリズム51を嵌め合せるために、レンズ支持部材41の後端側に形成され、切欠き44の光軸方向と平行な側面は、プリズム51の光軸方向と平行な側面と接する長さに形成される。切欠き44の光軸方向と平行な側面は、プリズム51の光軸方向と平行な側面の一部と接するように形成されることにより、ピント調整を容易に行うことが可能となる。本実施の形態1では、プリズム51を嵌め合せる構造として切欠き44を採用しているが、切欠き44の後端が閉じている開口部としてもよい。開口部とする場合は、開口部の光軸方向と平行な側面を、プリズム51の光軸方向と平行な側面の一部と接するように形成するとともに、光軸方向と平行な側面の長さを、プリズム51の実装面の光軸方向の長さより長くする。
 本実施の形態1では、レンズ支持部材41の幅R1は、撮像素子53の幅R2と同じ長さとしているが、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3の固定が可能であれば、撮像素子53の幅R2より短くしてもよい。また、レンズ支持部材41の厚さR3は、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3の径R4より小さいことが好ましい。
 撮像素子53は、受光部52と処理回路54とを備えるとともに、信号ケーブル55を接続する接続電極57が形成されている。レンズ支持部材41は、撮像素子53のプリズム51の実装面上に接続されている。
 次に、本実施の形態1の撮像装置100の製造方法について説明する。図4は、撮像装置100の製造工程を示すフローチャートである。
 まず、撮像素子53の受光部52表面にプリズム51を実装し(ステップS1)、レンズ支持部材41の嵌合部43a-1~43a-3に、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を嵌合し、接着剤により固定する(ステップS2)。
 対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を固定したレンズ支持部材41を、プリズム51を実装した撮像素子53上に載置する(ステップS3)。載置の際、レンズ支持部材41の切欠き44をプリズム51に嵌め合せるようにして載置する。
 レンズ支持部材41を撮像素子53上に載置した後、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を保持したレンズ支持部材41を光軸方向に移動することによりピント調整を行う(ステップS4)。ピント調整は、信号ケーブル55の接続電極57にプローブ等を当接して、出力画像により行うことが好ましい。
 ピント調整によりレンズ支持部材41の位置を規定した後、レンズ支持部材41を撮像素子53に接着固定する(ステップS5)。レンズ支持部材41と撮像素子53の固定は、あらかじめレンズ支持部材41および/または撮像素子53の表面に接着剤を塗布しておき、ピント調整終了後、加熱または紫外線照射等を行うことにより接着剤を硬化し接着すればよい。
 本実施の形態1では、レンズ支持部材41の嵌合部43a-1~43a-3に対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を嵌合することにより対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を保持可能であるため、レンズを保持する外枠を有する部材を用いる必要がなく、撮像装置100の小型化が可能となる。また、レンズ支持部材41は、撮像素子53に実装されたプリズム51を嵌め合せ可能な切欠き44を備え、該切欠き44を介してレンズ支持部材41を光軸方向に移動することにより、簡易にピント調整を行うことができる。さらに、本実施の形態1に係る撮像装置100は、撮像素子53に処理回路54が形成されるため、電子部品実装用の基板を使用する必要がなく、内視鏡装置として使用する場合、先端部31の短縮が可能となるとともに、基板と撮像素子との接続する工程等も省略することが可能となる。
(実施の形態2)
 実施の形態2に係る撮像装置は、レンズ支持部材上に信号ケーブル55の接続電極が形成される点で実施の形態1と異なる。図5Aは、本実施の形態2に係る撮像装置の斜視図である。図5Bは、図5AのB-B線断面図である。
 図5Aおよび図5Bに示すように、レンズ支持部材41Aには、プリズム51を嵌め合せ可能な開口部44Aが形成されるとともに、後端側に信号ケーブル55を接続する接続電極57が形成されている。接続電極57は、裏面に形成される接続電極58、ビア59とともに貫通電極を形成する。
 撮像素子53Aには、受光部52および処理回路54とともに、接続電極60が形成され、レンズ支持部材41Aの接続電極58と電気的に接続される。
 次に、本実施の形態2の撮像装置100Aの製造方法について説明する。図6は、撮像装置100Aの製造工程を説明する図である。
 実施の形態1と同様に、撮像素子53Aの受光部52表面にプリズム51を実装し、レンズ支持部材41Aの嵌合部43a-1~43a-3に、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を嵌合して、接着剤により固定する。対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を固定したレンズ支持部材41Aは、図6(a)に示すように、開口部44Aを介し、プリズム51を実装した撮像素子53A上に載置する。載置の際、レンズ支持部材41Aの接続電極58を撮像素子53Aの接続電極60に当接するように載置する。
 レンズ支持部材41Aを撮像素子53A上に載置した後、図6(b)に示すように、対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を保持したレンズ支持部材41Aを光軸方向に移動してピント調整を行う。ピント調整は、接続電極57にプローブ等を当接して、出力画像により行うことが好ましい。接続電極58および60は、ピント調整によって光軸方向の位置が調整された場合であっても、電気的接続が取れる長さに設計されることが好ましい。ピント調整後、レンズ支持部材41Aは撮像素子53Aに接着固定される。
 本実施の形態2では、実施の形態1と同様にレンズ支持部材41Aの嵌合部43a-1~43a-3に対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を嵌合することにより対物レンズ40a-1~40a-3を保持可能であるため、レンズを保持する外枠を有する部材を用いる必要がなく、撮像装置100Aの小型化が可能となる。また、レンズ支持部材41Aは、撮像素子53Aに実装されたプリズム51を嵌め合せ可能な開口部44Aを備え、開口部44Aを介してレンズ支持部材41Aを光軸方向に移動することにより、簡易にピント調整を行うことができる。さらに、本実施の形態2に係る撮像装置100Aは、撮像素子53Aに処理回路54が形成されるため、電子部品実装用の基板を使用する必要がないため、内視鏡装置として使用する際、先端部31の短縮が可能となるとともに、基板と撮像素子との接続する工程等も省略することが可能となる。
 なお、実施の形態2のレンズ支持部材41Aは、貫通電極により撮像素子53Aと信号ケーブル55とを電気的に接続しているが、接続電極57および58を、レンズ支持部材41Aの表面に形成した配線により接続してもよい。接続電極57および58を配線により接続する場合、レンズ支持部材41Aの後端側面に形成すればよい。
 また、処理回路54を撮像素子の前端部、すなわち、対物レンズ40a-2~40a-3下部に形成すれば、撮像装置の小型化が可能となる。図7Aは、本実施の形態2の変形例に係る撮像装置の斜視図である。図7Bは、図7AのC-C線断面図である。
 図7Aおよび図7Bに示すように、変形例に係る撮像装置100Bは、処理回路54が撮像素子53Bの前端部に形成されるとともに、撮像素子53Bのさらに前端側、対物レンズ40a-1の下部に接続電極(図示しない)が形成されている。
 レンズ支持部材41Bの撮像素子53Bとの接続面側には、撮像素子53B側の接続電極と接続される接続電極(図示しない)が形成されている。また、レンズ支持部材41Bの表面には、信号ケーブル55が接続される接続電極57と、撮像素子53Bの撮像素子電極と接続される接続電極とを結ぶ配線が形成されている。
 変形例にかかる撮像装置100Bは、実施の形態2と同様に効果を奏するとともに、処理回路54が撮像素子53Bの前端部に形成されるため、内視鏡装置として使用する際、先端部31のさらなる短縮が可能となる。

Claims (5)

  1.  入射光を集光するレンズ群と、
     前記レンズ群を嵌合させる嵌合部が形成されたレンズ支持部材と、
     前記レンズ群が集光した光を反射させるプリズムと、
     前記プリズムにより反射された光を受光して光電変換を行うことにより電気信号を生成する受光部を有する撮像素子と、
     を備え、前記レンズ支持部材は、前記プリズムを嵌め合せ可能な切欠きまたは開口部を有し、前記撮像素子の前記プリズム実装面側に接続されることを特徴とする撮像装置。
  2.  前記プリズムは、前記撮像素子の受光部表面に実装されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
  3.  前記切欠きまたは前記開口部の前記レンズ群の光軸方向と平行な側面は、前記プリズムの前記光軸方向と平行な側面の一部と接触し、
     前記開口部の前記光軸方向と平行な側面の長さは、前記プリズムの実装面の光軸方向の長さより長いことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の撮像装置。
  4.  前記レンズ支持部材は、前記撮像素子との接続面側に接続電極が形成されるとともに、前記嵌合部が形成される面側にケーブル接続用の接続電極が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1~3のいずれか一つに記載の撮像装置。
  5.  生体内に挿入され、生体内部を撮像する撮像装置を備えた内視鏡装置において、
     前記撮像装置は、請求項1~4のいずれか一つに記載の撮像装置であることを特徴とする内視鏡装置。
