Definitions
- the present invention relates to a vehicle door latch device provided in a vehicle.
- FIG. 2011 An example of a vehicle door latch device is disclosed in International Publication WO2011 / 1020547A1.
- This vehicle door latch device is configured to be latched to rotate in the door closing direction by engagement with a striker on the vehicle body side, a pawl that can be engaged with the latch, and an elastic biasing of the pawl toward an engagement position with the latch.
- the pole return spring is configured such that its pole-side end is in contact with the spring locking portion of the pole.
- the latch is pressed by the striker to rotate in the door closing direction, and the pole is engaged with the latch, so that the vehicle door is held in the half door state or the fully closed state.
- the vehicle door can be opened by rotating the pole against the elastic biasing force of the pole return spring in the direction of releasing the engagement with the latch.
- the support shaft that rotatably supports the pole and the mounting shaft of the pole return spring are disposed apart from each other. For this reason, when the pole rotates around the support shaft while receiving the elastic biasing force from the pole return spring, the pole slips between the contacted surface of the spring locking portion of the pole and the pole side end of the pole return spring. Will occur. In this case, if the unevenness of the contact surface of the spring locking portion of the pole is large, the above-mentioned slip is likely to be hindered, so that the operability during rotation of the pole may be deteriorated.
- the spring engagement portion includes a fracture surface (uneven surface) with particularly large irregularities, and the above problem becomes more prominent.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above points, and one of its purposes is a latch that rotates in a door closing direction by engagement with a striker, a pole that can be engaged with the latch, and a pole. It is an object of the present invention to provide a technique effective in improving the operability of a pole in a vehicle door latch device including a pole return spring for elastically urging toward an engagement position with the latch.
- a vehicle door latch device includes a latch, a pole, and a pole return spring.
- the latch is configured to rotate in the door closing direction upon engagement with the striker.
- the pole is rotatable between a first position and a second position about the support shaft.
- the pawl prevents rotation of the latch in the door opening direction by engaging the latch in the first position, and prevents rotation of the latch in the door opening direction by releasing the engagement with the latch in the second position. Release the blockage.
- the pole return spring abuts against a contact surface provided on the pole in order to elastically bias the pole toward the first position.
- This pole return spring is formed in a coil shape and has a coil spring portion having a coil center at a position spaced from the rotation center of the pole, and extends from one end of the coil spring portion along the contacted surface of the pole.
- An extension arm is provided in a coil shape and has a coil spring portion having a coil center at a position spaced from the rotation center of the pole, and extends
- the extending arm of the pole return spring is configured to abut on a second area out of the first area having a relatively high surface roughness among the abutted surfaces of the pole.
- the extending arm selectively comes into contact with a region of the contacted surface that is slippery (low sliding resistance). This makes it difficult for the slip between the contact surface of the pole and the extension arm of the pole return spring to be hindered, and as a result, the operability during rotation of the pole can be improved.
- the extending arm includes an arm base end portion, an arm tip end portion, and an arm inclined portion.
- the arm base end portion is a portion that is connected to one end portion of the coil spring portion and faces the first region of the contacted surface.
- the arm tip portion is a portion that is provided on the side opposite to the arm base end portion and abuts against the second region of the abutted surface.
- the arm inclined portion is a portion inclined with respect to the contacted surface so as to approach the contacted surface as it goes toward the arm distal end portion between the arm base end portion and the arm distal end portion.
- the arm inclined portion may be configured by all or a part of a region between the arm proximal end portion and the arm distal end portion of the extending arm.
- the arm inclined portion of the extending arm has a predetermined minimum inclination with respect to the contacted surface in both cases where the pole is in the first position and in the second position. It is preferably configured to be inclined at an angle exceeding the angle.
- the inclination angle of the arm inclined portion is set to cope with this change. It is effective to set the angle to exceed the minimum inclination angle at both positions.
- the arm inclined portion is preferably formed by one form of preliminary bending with respect to the extending arm.
- the arm tip is bent in advance so as to rotate in a direction from the reference state extending parallel to the abutted surface of the pole toward the abutted surface around the arm base end.
- the arm inclined portion is preferably formed by another form of preliminary bending with respect to the extending arm.
- the arm tip rotates in a first bending direction from the reference state extending parallel to the contact surface of the pole toward the contact surface around the arm base end portion and the contact It is bent in advance so as to rotate in the second bending direction along the contact surface.
- the arm tip portion of the extending arm includes a bent portion that is bent in advance so as to protrude toward the second region of the contacted surface of the pole. It is preferable to contact the second region. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the sliding resistance when the extending arm slides on the second region of the abutted surface during the rotation of the pole by the protruding curved surface of the bent portion.
- the contact surface of the pole is a press section formed by press molding in the plate thickness direction with respect to the plate-like member, and the first region is constituted by the fracture surface included in the press section. It is preferable. Since the fracture surface at the time of press molding has particularly large irregularities, it is particularly effective to apply the present invention to a structure in which the extension arm of the pole return spring is in contact with the contacted surface formed by press molding.
- the vehicle door latch device it is possible to improve the operability of the pawl that can be engaged with the latch that rotates in the door closing direction by engagement with the striker.

- the deflection of the pole return spring 130 is maximum within the use range, and the elastic biasing force that the pole 120 receives from the pole return spring 130 is maximized ("full” It is also referred to as “state”.
- the pole 120 and the pole return spring 130 here correspond to the “pole” and “pole return spring” of the present invention, respectively.
- the pole return spring 130 includes a coil spring portion 131 formed in a coil shape, and a so-called “torsion coil” that receives a torsional moment around the coil center C ⁇ b> 2 of the coil spring portion 131.
- Spring torque coil spring
- the pole return spring 130 is configured such that the coil center C2 of the coil spring portion 131 extends in parallel with the rotation center C1 of the pole 120 and is spaced apart from each other in the radial direction.

Therefore, the abutted surface 121 includes a fracture surface 121a at one end portion in the plate thickness direction and a shear surface 121b at the other end portion in the plate thickness direction.
- the fracture surface 121a is an uneven surface having a relatively high surface roughness (large unevenness).
- the shearing surface 121b is a surface having a lower surface roughness (smaller irregularities) than the fracture surface 121a.
- the fracture surface 121a and the shearing surface 121b here correspond to the “first region” and the “second region” of the present invention, respectively.
- the spring locking portion 102 c (contacted surface 121) and the extension arm 132 of the pole return spring 130 are provided. Slip occurs between the two. Although the details will be described later, the occurrence of the slip is caused by the fact that the coil center C2 of the pole return spring 130 is arranged radially away from the rotation center C1 of the pole 120 as described above. In this case, when the extended arm 132 of the pole return spring 130 contacts the fracture surface 121a having a large unevenness in the contacted surface 121, the slippage is easily prevented, and the operability during rotation of the pole 120 is reduced. .
- the present invention solves this problem by devising the shape of the extension arm 132 so that the extension arm 132 of the pole return spring 130 can be prevented from coming into contact with the fracture surface 121a of the contacted surface 121. ing.
- the feature of the shape of the extending arm 132 will be specifically described.

- the arm tip portion 134 is configured to come into contact with the shear surface 121b at the curved surface of the bending portion 136. That is, the extending arm 132 selectively abuts on (contacts with) a region of the abutted surface 121 that is slippery (low sliding resistance).
- the arm inclined portion 135 is at a predetermined inclination angle with respect to the abutted surface 121 so as to approach the abutted surface 121 toward the arm distal end portion 134 between the arm base end portion 133 and the arm distal end portion 134. Inclined.
- the arm base end portion 133, the arm tip end portion 134, the arm inclined portion 135 and the bending portion 136 referred to here are respectively “arm base end portion”, “arm tip end portion”, “arm inclined portion” and “bending portion” of the present invention. Is equivalent to.
- the extended arm 132 having the above-described configuration, it is difficult to prevent the sliding with the contacted surface 121 by avoiding contact with the fracture surface 121a, and as a result, the operability when the pole 120 rotates. Can be improved. Since the fracture surface at the time of press molding has particularly large irregularities, it is particularly effective to apply this configuration to a structure in which the extending arm 132 of the pole return spring 130 contacts the contacted surface 121 by press molding. Further, since the surface contact is made smooth by bringing the protruding surface of the bent portion 136 into surface contact with the contacted surface 121, the extended arm 132 is placed on the shearing surface 121b of the contacted surface 121 when the pole 120 rotates. It is possible to reduce the sliding resistance when sliding.
- bent portion 136 is located within the range of the surface width (surface width d in FIG. 4) of the abutted surface 121, the position of the extending arm 132 is changed when the pole 120 is rotated. Even in the case of shifting in the direction of the surface width d of 121, it is possible to prevent the arm tip portion 134 of the extending arm 132 from being detached from the contacted surface 121.

- the contact position of the extension arm 132 with respect to the contact surface 121 of the pole 120 is in the direction of the arrow D3 in the process of the pole 120 moving from the first position P1 to the second position P2. Change. As a result, slippage occurs between the contacted surface 121 and the extending arm 132 as described above.
- the region where the extension arm 132 contacts the contacted surface 121 of the pole 120 is the axis of the extension arm 132 depending on whether the pole 120 is in the first position P1 or the second position P2. It changes in the surrounding direction. That is, the contact mode of the extending arm 132 with respect to the contacted surface 121 changes according to the rotation position of the pole 120. Therefore, it is preferable to always avoid that the extended arm 132 abuts against the fracture surface 121a of the abutted surface 121 regardless of the change in the contact mode.
- the above-described preliminary bending can be performed so that the arm inclined portion 135 is inclined at an angle greater than.
- the minimum inclination angle ⁇ (min) is typically set so that the arm inclined portion 135 does not contact the fracture surface 121a of the contacted surface 121 even when the extended arm 132 is elastically deformed when the pole 120 is rotated ( That is, in order to maintain the one-sided contact of the extension arm 132 at all times, it is set based on a test or the like that has been performed in advance.
- the extension arm 132 contacts the fracture surface 121a regardless of the change in the contact mode. Can be reliably brought into contact with the contacted surface 121 (shearing surface 121b) in a state in which is always avoided.
- the pole 120 rotates between the first position P1 and the second position P2
- a slip occurs between the contacted surface 121 and the extending arm 132, but the slip is smooth.
- the operability of the pole 120 is not lowered, that is, the operation feeling is not deteriorated.
- the extension of the extension arm 132 is different from the above-described extension arm 132.
- An arm can also be employed.

- the extension arm 232 shown in FIG. 9 is a region of the entire arm from the arm base end portion 233 to the arm tip end portion 234, whereas the above-described extension arm 132 constitutes the arm inclined portion 135 by a part of the arm. Corresponds to the arm inclined portion 235. That is, in the extension arm 232, a portion corresponding to the bending portion 136 of the extension arm 132 is omitted.
- the extending arm 232 has a direction from the reference state in which the arm distal end portion 234 extends parallel to the abutted surface 121 of the pole 120 toward the abutted surface 121 around the arm base end portion 233 (see FIG. 6 in the first direction D1) in FIG.

- the inclination angle of the arm inclined portion 235 with respect to the contacted surface 121 is set to exceed the minimum inclination angle ⁇ (min). Is possible. Thereby, it can avoid that the extension arm 232 contact
- the extension arm 332 shown in FIG. 10 is configured such that the above-described extension arm 132 includes an arm inclined portion 135 on the arm base end portion 133 side, whereas the arm from the arm base end portion 333 to the arm tip end portion 334 is provided.
- the arm inclination part 335 is provided in the arm front-end
- the extension arm 432 shown in FIG. 11 has a configuration in which the above-described extension arm 132 includes the arm inclined portion 135, whereas the arm inclined portion 135 in the region from the arm proximal end portion 433 to the arm distal end portion 434 is illustrated. Is not provided, and a step 435 is provided instead.
- the step portion 435 can be provided by bending a linearly extending arm into a crank shape. Since this extending arm 432 can also avoid contact with the fracture surface 121a of the contacted surface 121, the same effect as the above-described extending arm 132 is achieved.

Abstract
