  • This disclosure relates to a gas sensor control device.
  • an electromotive force output type gas sensor that detects an oxygen concentration by using exhaust gas discharged from the engine as a detection target is generally used.
  • This gas sensor has an electromotive force cell that outputs different electromotive force signals depending on whether the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas is rich or lean. Specifically, the gas sensor outputs an electromotive force signal of about 0.9 V if the air-fuel ratio is rich, and outputs an electromotive force signal of about 0 V if the air-fuel ratio is lean.
  • a constant current circuit is connected to at least one of a pair of sensor electrodes.
  • the direction of the constant current is determined based on the change request, and the constant current circuit is controlled so that the constant current flows in the determined direction.
  • the output characteristic of a gas sensor is suitably controlled by the supply of the constant current.
  • the resistance value of the sensor element changes depending on the temperature of the sensor element. Specifically, at the time of cold start of the engine or when the exhaust temperature decreases due to engine fuel cut, the element resistance increases as the temperature of the sensor element decreases.

又は、ΔI=(Ia(又はIcs)-Ith)/nとする(n>1)。
