Description
下記式(1)で表される構造及び/又はジスルフィド構造により架橋されており、4質量%の濃度となるように水に添加し95℃で3時間撹拌した際に完溶しないビニルアルコール系重合体である。
ビニルアルコール系重合体(A)の製造方法であって、側鎖にエポキシ基を有する第1ビニルアルコール系重合体と、1分子中に2つ以上のメルカプト基を有する第1化合物とを反応させる工程(a)を有するビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
ビニルアルコール系重合体(A)の製造方法であって、側鎖にメルカプト基を有する第2ビニルアルコール系重合体と、1分子中に2つ以上のエポキシ基を有する第2化合物とを反応させる工程(b)を有するビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
ビニルアルコール系重合体(B)の製造方法であって、側鎖にメルカプト基を有する第2ビニルアルコール系重合体同士を反応させる工程(c)を有するビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
上記反応工程(a)として、上記第1化合物の存在下、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にエポキシ基を有する第1ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、ビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、エポキシ基とメルカプト基との反応とを同時に進行させることが好ましい。
上記反応工程(b)として、上記第2化合物の存在下、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にチオエステル基を有する第2ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、ビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、チオエステル基におけるけん化反応により生じるメルカプト基とエポキシ基との反応とを同時に進行させることが好ましい。
上記反応工程(c)として、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にチオエステル基を有する第2ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、ビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、チオエステル基におけるけん化反応により生じるメルカプト基同士のカップリング反応とを同時に進行させることが好ましい。
当該ビニルアルコール系重合体を含有する掘削泥水用添加剤、
当該ビニルアルコール系重合体が添加された掘削泥水、
当該ビニルアルコール系重合体を含有する掘削セメントスラリー用添加剤、及び
当該ビニルアルコール系重合体が添加された掘削セメントスラリーも含む。
本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体は、上記式(1)で表される構造及び/又はジスルフィド構造により架橋されており、当該ビニルアルコール系重合体は、4質量%となるように水に添加し95℃で3時間撹拌した際に完溶しない(水に不溶な成分が残る)ものである。このような特定の構造により架橋された水に不溶のビニルアルコール系重合体を用いることにより、高温での脱水や粘度上昇が改良された掘削泥水や掘削セメントスラリーが容易に得られる。本発明を何ら限定するものではないが、この理由としては、水に不溶の上記ビニルアルコール系重合体が、掘削泥水や掘削セメントスラリー中において水分をまとって存在するためと考えられ、そして、これにより、本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体を含有する掘削泥水や掘削セメントスラリーは、例えば、多孔質の地盤の穴を効果的に埋めることができる、地層の壁面での脱水が効果的に抑制される等の、坑井掘削用途における優れた特性を示すことができるものと考えられる。
本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法に特に制限はないが、以下の方法によれば本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体が容易に得られることから好ましい。すなわち、本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体が上記式(1)で表される構造により架橋されたもの(ビニルアルコール系重合体(A))である場合において、当該ビニルアルコール系重合体は、
1.側鎖にエポキシ基を有する第1ビニルアルコール系重合体と、1分子中に2つ以上のメルカプト基を有する第1化合物とを反応させる工程(a)を有する方法;又は
2.側鎖にメルカプト基を有する第2ビニルアルコール系重合体と、1分子中に2つ以上のエポキシ基を有する第2化合物とを反応させる工程(b)を有する方法;
により製造することが好ましい。その他、
3.側鎖にエポキシ基及びメルカプト基の両方を有する第3ビニルアルコール系重合体同士を反応させる工程(x)を有する方法;
により製造することもできる。
一方、本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体がジスルフィド構造により架橋されたもの(ビニルアルコール系重合体(B))である場合において、当該ビニルアルコール系重合体は、
4.側鎖にメルカプト基を有する第2ビニルアルコール系重合体同士を反応させる工程(c)を有する方法;
により製造することが好ましい。3.及び4.の場合において、反応させるビニルアルコール系重合体は同じ種類のものであっても異なる種類のものであってもどちらでもよい。
a.上記反応工程(a)として、1分子中に2つ以上のメルカプト基を有する化合物(第1化合物)の存在下で、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にエポキシ基を有する第1ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、第1ビニルエステル系重合体が有するビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、エポキシ基とメルカプト基との反応とを同時に進行させる方法;又は
b.上記反応工程(b)として、1分子中に2つ以上のエポキシ基を有する化合物(第2化合物)の存在下で、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にチオエステル基を有する第2ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、第2ビニルエステル系重合体が有するビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、チオエステル基におけるけん化反応により生じるメルカプト基とエポキシ基との反応とを同時に進行させる方法;
により製造することが好ましい。
また、上記反応工程(x)として、アルカリ触媒を用いて、側鎖にエポキシ基及びチオエステル基の両方を有する第3ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、第3ビニルエステル系重合体が有するビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、チオエステル基におけるけん化反応により生じるメルカプト基とエポキシ基との反応とを同時に進行させる方法;
により製造することもできる。
一方、本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体がジスルフィド構造により架橋されたもの(ビニルアルコール系重合体(B))である場合において、当該ビニルアルコール系重合体は、
c.上記反応工程(c)として、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にチオエステル基を有する第2ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、第2ビニルエステル系重合体が有するビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、チオエステル基におけるけん化反応により生じるメルカプト基同士のカップリング反応とを同時に進行させる方法;
により製造することが好ましい。

本発明の掘削泥水用添加剤は、本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体を含有するものであり、その添加により所望の掘削泥水とすることのできる添加剤である。また、ビニルアルコール系重合体は粉末状態で含有されることが望ましい。本発明の掘削泥水用添加剤は、本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体のみからなっていても、各種添加剤等を含有していてもどちらでもよい。本発明の掘削泥水用添加剤における本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体の含有率は、例えば、50質量%以上(より好ましくは80質量%以上)とすることができる。
本発明の掘削泥水は、例えば掘削された岩片や掘削屑等の運搬、ビットやドリルパイプの潤滑性向上、多孔質地盤の穴の埋設、静水圧により生ずる貯留層圧力(岩盤からの圧力)の相殺等の役割を果たすものである。この掘削泥水は、上記の掘削泥水用添加剤を含有し、用水及び泥質を主成分とする。当該掘削泥水は、本発明の効果を損なわない範囲で任意成分を含んでいてもよい。
泥質としては、例えばベントナイト、アタパルジャイト、セリナイト、含水マグネシウムケイ酸塩等が挙げられ、中でもベントナイトが好ましい。
任意成分としては、公知の添加剤を使用することができ、例えば、炭素数2~12のα-オレフィンと無水マレイン酸の共重合体若しくはその誘導体(例えば、マレイン酸アミド、マレイン酸イミド)、又はそのアルカリ中和物等の水溶液;分散剤、pH調整剤、消泡剤、増粘剤等が挙げられる。炭素数2~12のα-オレフィンと無水マレイン酸の共重合体若しくはその誘導体としては、例えばエチレン、プロピレン、ブテン-1、イソブテン、ジイソブチレン等のα-オレフィンと無水マレイン酸の共重合体又はその誘導体(例えば、クラレ社の「イソバン」)が挙げられ、分散剤としては、例えばフミン酸系分散剤、リグニン系分散剤等が挙げられ、中でもスルホン酸塩を含有するリグニン系分散剤が好ましい。
本発明の掘削セメントスラリー用添加剤は、本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体を含有するものであり、その添加により所望の掘削セメントスラリーとすることのできる添加剤である。また、ビニルアルコール系重合体は粉末状態で含有されることが望ましい。本発明の掘削セメントスラリー用添加剤は、本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体のみからなっていても、各種添加剤等を含有していてもどちらでもよい。本発明の掘削セメントスラリー用添加剤における本発明のビニルアルコール系重合体の含有率は、例えば、50質量%以上(より好ましくは80質量%以上)とすることができる。
本発明の掘削セメントスラリーは、例えば地層と坑井内に設置されたケーシングパイプとの間の管状空隙部分に注入、硬化させることにより、ケーシングパイプの坑井内への固定、坑井内の内壁の保護のために使用される。この掘削セメントスラリーは、当該掘削スラリー用添加剤、硬化性粉末及び液剤を含有する。当該掘削セメントスラリーは、本発明の効果を阻害しない範囲で、任意成分を含有してもよい。
硬化性粉末としては、例えばポルトランドセメント、混合セメント、エコセメント、特殊セメント等が挙げられ、水と反応して固形化する水硬性セメントが好ましく、当該セメントスラリーを掘削用に使用する場合、地熱井セメント、油井セメントが好ましい。
液剤としては、硬化性粉末の種類等に応じて選択され、例えば水、溶剤、これらの混合物が挙げられるが、一般に水が使用される。
任意成分としては、分散剤、遅延剤、消泡剤を含有することができ、これら以外の添加剤を含んでいてもよい。
当該掘削セメントスラリーは、用途、組成等を考慮して、例えばセメント速硬剤、低比重添加材、高比重添加材、発泡剤、ひび割れ低減剤、気泡剤、AE剤、セメント膨張材、セメント強度安定材、珪石粉、シリカフューム、フライアッシュ、石灰石粉、砕砂等の細骨材、砕石等の粗骨材、中空バルーン等の添加剤を含有していてもよい。また、これらの添加剤は、1種を単独で使用しても、2種以上を併用してもよい。
(ビニルアルコール系重合体の製造)
撹拌機、窒素導入口、添加剤導入口及び開始剤添加口を備えた3L反応槽に酢酸ビニル1200g、メタノール400g、エポキシ基含有ビニル化合物としてアリルグリシジルエーテル16.1gを仕込み、60℃に昇温した後、30分間窒素バブリングにより系中を窒素置換した。上記の反応槽内温を60℃に調整し、2,2’-アゾビス(イソブチロニトリル)1.5gを加えて重合を開始した。重合中は重合温度を60℃に維持し、5時間後に重合率が40%に達したところで冷却して重合を停止した。次いで、減圧下にて未反応の酢酸ビニルを除去し、ポリ酢酸ビニル(PVAc)のメタノール溶液を得た。こうして得られたPVAcのメタノール溶液の一部を用いて、良溶媒としてアセトン、貧溶媒としてヘキサンを用いた再沈殿精製を5回行い、真空乾燥により乾燥させた後、得られたPVAcを重クロロホルムへ溶解させて1H-NMRの測定を実施した。得られたNMRスペクトルからアリルグリシジルエーテルの導入量は1.0モル%と算出された。
上記PVAcのメタノール溶液をPVAcの質量が50gとなるように1L反応槽に仕込み、メタノールを加えることにより濃度を30質量%に調整した後、1分子中に2つ以上のメルカプト基を有する化合物(架橋剤)として、東レ・ファインケミカル社製の「ポリチオール」QE-340Mを4.0g仕込んだ。この条件で反応液中に存在するエポキシ基と使用されたメルカプト基のモル比([エポキシ基のモル数]/[メルカプト基のモル数])は1/1である。反応液の温度を40℃に調整し、アルカリモル比([NaOHのモル数]/[PVAcを構成するビニルエステル単位のモル数])が0.05となるようにNaOHメタノール溶液(10質量%濃度)を添加してけん化反応を実施した。反応開始から60分後に得られたゲル状物を粉砕した後、熱風乾燥機にて100℃で3時間乾燥を行った。得られた乾燥粉末を粉砕機によりさらに粉砕し、JIS規格の篩を用いた際に30メッシュの篩を通過する粉末状のビニルアルコール系重合体10gを採取した。
上記で得られたビニルアルコール系重合体を、500mL容のビーカーにあらかじめ入れておいた95℃の水300g中に、4質量%の濃度となるように投入し、水が蒸発しないようにしながら、3cm長のバーを備えたマグネチックスターラーを用いて、95℃の条件下で回転数280rpmで3時間攪拌し、ビニルアルコール系重合体が完溶(完全に溶解)するか否かを評価した。完溶の場合は「可溶」と判定し、完溶しない場合は「不溶」と判定した。実施例1では、3時間撹拌後においても不溶な粒子が観察されたため、「不溶」と判定した。
(掘削泥水の調製)
ハミルトンビーチミキサーのカップにイオン交換水300mLを取り、ベントナイト(テルナイト社製「テルゲルE」)18gを加えて充分攪拌した後、ベントナイトを充分に膨潤させるために24時間放置した。このベントナイトの分散液に上記で得られたビニルアルコール系重合体1.5gを掘削泥水用添加剤として添加して掘削泥水を得た。
(掘削泥水の特性評価)
上記で得られた掘削泥水を25℃に調温して、その粘度をB型粘度計を用いて測定したところ、58mPa・sであった。次にこの掘削泥水の、高温・高圧下での脱水量の測定を行った。当該測定は、Fann Instrument社製、HPHT Filter Press Series387を用い、温度150℃に調整したセル内部に掘削泥水を投入し、1時間放置した後、セル上部と下部から圧力をかけ、その差圧が500psiの条件下で測定を行った。30分間の脱水量は12mLであった。
掘削泥水の調製に用いたビニルアルコール系重合体を表1に示すものに変更したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして掘削泥水を調製し、その特性評価を行った。その結果を表1に示す。なお、使用された共重合体単量体中のチオエステル基は、メルカプト基に変換されるものとして、メルカプト基の添加量に算入している。いずれのビニルアルコール系重合体を用いた場合も、調製した掘削泥水の粘度は低く、また150℃での脱水量が20mL以下と非常に少なく抑えられている。
掘削泥水の調製に用いたビニルアルコール系重合体を表1に示すものに変更したこと以外は実施例1と同様にして掘削泥水を調製し、その特性評価を行った。その結果を表1に示す。
(セメントスラリーの調製)
実施例1で作成したビニルアルコール系重合体粉末4gを、イオン交換水320g、坑井用クラスHセメント800g、ナフタレンスルホン酸ホルマリン縮合物ナトリウム塩(Dipersity Technologies社の「Daxad-19」)4g、及びリグニンスルホン酸ナトリウム塩(Lignotech USA社の「Keling 32L」)0.16gと共にジュースミキサーに投入し、攪拌混合してセメントスラリー(S-1)を調製した。なお、ビニルアルコール系重合体粉末粉末の添加量は、セメントの質量基準(BWOC)で0.5質量%とした。
クラレ社製PVA-224(けん化度88モル%、重合度2400、JIS規格で30メッシュの篩を通過するもの)を使用した以外は実施例8と同様にしてセメントスラリーを調製した。
クラレ社製PVA-224S(けん化度88モル%、重合度2400、JIS規格で83メッシュの篩を通過するもの)を使用した以外は実施例8と同様にしてセメントスラリーを調製した。
クラレ社製PVA-124(けん化度98.5モル%、重合度2400、JIS規格で30メッシュの篩を通過するもの)を使用した以外は実施例8と同様にしてセメントスラリーを調製した。
実施例8及び比較例9~11のセメントスラリーについて、下記手法に従い粘性及び脱水量を評価した。評価結果を表2に示す。
粘性は、プラスチック粘性(PV)及びイールドバリュー(YV)として評価した。プラスチック粘性(PV)は、セメントスラリー中に含まれている固形分の機械的摩擦によって生じる流動抵抗値である。イールドバリュー(YV)は、流体が流動状態にあるとき、流動を続けるのに必要なせん断力であって、セメントスラリー中に含まれている固体粒子間のけん引力によって生じる流動抵抗である。

脱水量は、「API10」(American Institute Specification 10)の「Appendix H」に記載の方法に従い、90℃に調温したセメントスラリーが差圧1000psiの条件下で30分間に脱水される量として測定した。
Claims (15)
- 粉末状である請求項1に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体。
- JIS規格で10メッシュの篩を通過する請求項2に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体。
- 上記式(1)で表される構造により架橋されたビニルアルコール系重合体であり、上記式(1)で表される構造が、エポキシ基とメルカプト基との反応で形成されたものである請求項1、請求項2又は請求項3に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体。
- 上記ジスルフィド構造により架橋されたビニルアルコール系重合体であり、上記ジスルフィド構造が、メルカプト基同士のカップリング反応で形成されたものである請求項1、請求項2又は請求項3に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体。
- 請求項4に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法であって、側鎖にエポキシ基を有する第1ビニルアルコール系重合体と、1分子中に2つ以上のメルカプト基を有する第1化合物とを反応させる工程を有するビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
- 請求項4に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法であって、側鎖にメルカプト基を有する第2ビニルアルコール系重合体と、1分子中に2つ以上のエポキシ基を有する第2化合物とを反応させる工程を有するビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
- 請求項5に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法であって、側鎖にメルカプト基を有する第2ビニルアルコール系重合体同士を反応させる工程を有するビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
- 上記反応工程として、上記第1化合物の存在下、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にエポキシ基を有する第1ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、ビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、エポキシ基とメルカプト基との反応とを同時に進行させる請求項6に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
- 上記反応工程として、上記第2化合物の存在下、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にチオエステル基を有する第2ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、ビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、チオエステル基におけるけん化反応により生じるメルカプト基とエポキシ基との反応とを同時に進行させる請求項7に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
- 上記反応工程として、アルカリ触媒を用いて側鎖にチオエステル基を有する第2ビニルエステル系重合体をけん化することにより、ビニルエステル単位におけるけん化反応と、チオエステル基におけるけん化反応により生じるメルカプト基同士のカップリング反応とを同時に進行させる請求項8に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体の製造方法。
- 請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体を含有する掘削泥水用添加剤。
- 請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体が添加された掘削泥水。
- 請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体を含有する掘削セメントスラリー用添加剤。
- 請求項1から請求項5のいずれか1項に記載のビニルアルコール系重合体が添加された掘削セメントスラリー。
