Definitions
- the invention relates to a gap sealing band.
- the two ends of the U-shaped portion of the surface element are bent apart, so that the surface element as a whole an approximately T-shaped or Has omega-shaped contour, depending on how close the two legs of the U-shaped section to each other.
- the invention has for its object to provide a sealing of a gap enabling sealing member which is easy to assemble and disassemble, which is resistant to mechanical stress under harsh operating conditions, and which allows for impairment of tightness quickly and inexpensively restore tightness, and which is suitable for a variety of different applications.
- an elongated strip which is magnetically designed at its two longitudinal edges.
- the strip has a carrier material, which is designed according to the proposal as a textile-like deformable surface element.
- a carrier material form the strip, which is provided at its two longitudinal edges each with a narrow strip of magnetic material.
- the two longitudinal edges are according to the proposal spaced apart and independently movable, so not summarized as in the gap seal of DE 20 2013 101 595 U1 to a common holding section.
- the two longitudinal edges can be fastened at two fastening points which are remote from one another, for example at two different components, in order to seal a gap extending therebetween.
- Due to the mobility independently can be attached to two remote locations of the same component, for example, encompass a component and at two different, z. B. opposite surfaces of this component are attached. Since the attachment takes place only magnetically, the assembly, disassembly and position corrections of the gap sealing band can always be performed quickly and easily.
- it may be provided to provide the mentioned carrier material on its back over the entire surface with a magnetic sheet. This allows, for example, a particularly simple and inexpensive manufacture of the gap sealing strips, in which a larger areal strip material is coated over its entire area with the magnetic film and then cut into the gap sealing strips of the desired width.
- the magnetic film directly as a sealing strip or to uniformly pass through a given carrier material with magnetic particles, so that no two-layered construction of the gap sealing strip is required.
- the gap sealing tape is added either as a whole, with magnetic particles, or the mentioned carrier layer of the gap sealing tape as a textile-like deformable Surface element designed.
- a textile-like deformable while a surface element is referred to, which is not - such as a wood or metal plate - is relatively rigid, but which can be reversibly deformed like a textile surface element, for example, rolled or folded or can be deformed into a bag or the like ,
- the term "textile-like deformability" of the material to be used according to the proposal should indicate that, for example, textile surface elements such as woven, knitted or the like, or that, for example, films, or, for example, a combination thereof may be used in the form of fiber-reinforced films
- the surface elements which can be used according to the proposal may, for example, be collectively referred to as tarpaulins, irrespective of whether this is a film, a textile element or a fiber-reinforced film
- a material such as known as a truck tarp or the like may be used.
- Such tarpaulins are on the one hand commercially available and thus very economically available, and particularly inexpensive in the dimensions in which they are cut to the comparatively narrow strips to be used for a proposed gap sealing tape. In addition, they are available in different thicknesses. From such tarpaulins, for example, truck tarpaulins are manufactured, so-called “side curtains,” or shoulder bags or weatherproof clothing are produced. Embodiments of the invention are described below with reference to the purely schematic representations. It shows
- FIG. 1 shows a cross section through a first embodiment of a gap sealing strip
- FIG. 2 shows a cross section through a cable channel, which is provided on one side with a gap sealing band
- Fig. 4 cross-sections through further embodiments to 8 of gap sealing bands.
- a gap sealing tape 1 which consists essentially of a tarpaulin 2, which is assembled into an elongated strip 20, wherein at the two longitudinal edges of the tarpaulin 2 each have a magnetic strip 3 is provided.
- Fig. 2 denotes a floor ceiling of a building, under which a cable duct 5 extends.
- the cable duct 5 consists of a galvanized sheet material, has an upwardly open U-shaped cross section and receives a plurality of purely schematically indicated lines 6.
- the cable duct 5 is mounted on the floor ceiling 4 with anchors 7 suspended.
- an angle 8 is mounted under the floor slab 4, which is also made of sheet metal, so that a gap sealing band 1 with one of its two magnetic strips 3 can be fixed to the angle 8 and with his other magnetic strip 3 on Cable duct 5 can be attached.
- a gap sealing tape 1 In the illustrated embodiment of FIG. 2, only one side of the cable duct 5 is covered by a gap sealing tape 1.
- the opposite side of the cable tray 5 For example, it may be immediately adjacent to a wall of the building, or the attachment of a gap sealing tape 1 may also be provided on this side. In this way, access to the cable duct 5 for animals is made more difficult, so that, for example, birds can not stay on the cable duct 5 or can build a nest in the cable duct 5.
- due to the magnetic fastening of the gap sealing strip 1 a quick and uncomplicated access to the lines 6 is possible at any time for maintenance work and also the subsequent re-attachment of the gap sealing strip 1 is possible without problems and in the shortest possible time due to the magnetic mounting.
- Fig. 3 shows a further application of a gap sealing strip 1, in which case the gap is to be sealed below a door 9.
- the door 9 is a metallic door leaf, so that the magnetic attachment of the gap sealing tape 1 is possible.
- a reliable sealing of the gap between the door leaf 9 and a bottom 10 can be ensured in the simplest way that the gap sealing tape 1 is first attached to the door 9 and can then be corrected by shifting the magnetic strip 3 to on the one hand a reliable investment of the tarpaulin 2 on the floor 10 is ensured and on the other hand the most smooth movement of the door 9 is ensured, which also ensures a low-wear operation of the door 9 and in particular a low wear of the tarpaulin 2 of the gap sealing tape 1.
- stopper 1 1 In order to maintain the thus set height of the two magnetic strips 3 of the gap sealing strip 1 on the door 9, self-adhesive so-called stopper 1 1 are attached to the door 9, so that the magnetic strip 3 can not accidentally shift upwards and thus the dense system the tarpaulin 2 at the bottom 10 is at risk.
- the door 9 when it is the door 9 is a fire door, provides the assembly of the gap sealing tape 1 with the help of the two magnetic strips 3 and the self-adhesive attachment of the stoppers 1 1 sure that the door 9 is not affected in their fire protection behavior, as might otherwise be the case by screws or the like, in which the door 9 injured becomes.
- a non-metallic door 9 can be provided with a metallic, such as self-adhesive element, for. As a strip or one or more platelets. The gap sealing strip 1 can then be magnetically fastened to this element.
- Fig. 4 shows a gap sealing tape 1 having a substrate 12 as a first layer.
- This support material 12 may in turn consist of several layers and be configured for example as a tarpaulin 2.
- the carrier material 12 On its rear side, the carrier material 12 is provided over its entire surface with a magnetic film 14.
- the gap sealing strip 1 has a front side which, for example, faces the viewer as the visible side according to FIG. 2 and faces away from the cable duct 5, or which is exposed to mechanical wear and, for example, abuts the floor 10 according to FIG. Accordingly, the opposite side of the gap seal tape 1 is referred to as the back, with which the gap seal tape 1 can be magnetically mounted on brackets such as the cable duct 5, the angles 8 or the door 9.
- FIG. 5 shows a gap sealing strip 1, which has a carrier material 12 which is interspersed with a multiplicity of magnetic particles 15 and is therefore designated as a whole as a magnetic foil 14.
- Fig. 6 shows a gap sealing tape 1, in which the carrier material 12 is reinforced by fibers, namely by an integrated Fabric layer 16.
- the gap sealing tape 1 is thus designed as a fabric-reinforced tarpaulin 2. It has according to FIG. 1 at its two longitudinal edges in each case a magnetic strip 3.
- Fig. 7 shows a gap sealing tape 1
- the carrier material is designed as a tarpaulin 2.
- the tarpaulin 2 is provided on its outer side with a low-wear, resistant to friction material 17 so that it allows for example in the application of FIG. 3 a long service life and even with repeated, frequent movements of the door 9 low wear and high durability having.
- the tarpaulin 2 may advantageously be provided with a reinforcing material which is configured as a bite guard, for example with a wire mesh or the like.
- This bite guard can either be provided as a second layer in addition to a base material of the tarpaulin 2 or can be integrated into the tarpaulin 2, for example as one of several layers or layers of which the tarpaulin 2 is constructed.
- FIG. 8 shows such a gap sealing strip 1, the carrier material 12 of which is provided with such an integrated reinforcing material 18, which acts as a bite guard, and with a magnetic film 14 over its entire surface.
